    The first part of the game had an exciting plot. I empathized with the main characters. In the second part, for some reason, the developers made an lgbt theme - where one of the characters falls in love with a lesbian woman with unshaven armpits. It's disgusting! Giving my hard-earned money for the game, I don't want to see this on the screen. This spoils the whole atmosphere andThe first part of the game had an exciting plot.     I cannot begin to disagree more heavily with the score given to this woeful excuse of a game. Please understand that I am, and always will be, a fan of the first The Last of Us and Naughty Dog in general. That being said, I was HIGHLY disappointed and disturbed by the lack of story, depth and feeling this game had for the its fans.

    This was a slap in the face to fans and an overall    I cannot begin to disagree more heavily with the score given to this woeful excuse of a game. Please understand that I am, and always will be, a fan of the first The Last of Us and Naughty Dog in general. That being said, I was HIGHLY disappointed and disturbed by the lack of story, depth and feeling this game had for the its fans.

    This was a slap in the face to fans and an overall disgrace to play. It was beyond disturbing, violent with no purpose or reason. I won't spoil anything but the expectation of feeling for certain characters after their behavior made me physically ill.

    My advice, watch it on YouTube then forget about it. End of story and I will consider the first game a masterpiece and live by the thoughts of what I think should have happened after the ending.    … Expand

    At least with George, one could argue, he didn’t know what he was ruining for everybody.
    With Neil this is not the case.
    He intentionally destroys everything a fan cared about in the previous game bit by bit, until nothing is left but deep and black emptiness.
    And no, this was not a plot choice, it was a deliberate attempt to send all of the fans a message. A message of hatred.

    Don’t get me wrong. The game is beautifully made. I have never seen such love to detail. The story is extremely well written and the cast is enormous. This is not a question of performance. Objectively it is probably the best game ever made, but the deliberate choice Neil took to destroy something beautiful is something I will never forgive or forget.
    He took everything away from what was once one of my all time favorite worlds.
    I finished TLOU on grounded at least 5 times - yes I was that addicted, to the story, to the gameplay, to the characters.

    But TLOU II is the biggest F**K YOU to a fan I have ever witnessed.
    Neil, Why did you have to take away everything from her? A friend? A father figure? Love? Even the ability to play the guitar? WTF Neil?
    What is wrong with you.
    This is not a valid decision to make a point.
    You could have told the story in so many ways, you could have made the same point, cleat and understandable, but not as devastating as you did.
    It would have been great, it would have been ok, it would have been acceptable.
    But now I had to see a character I learned to love walk away with nothing in her life.
    NOTHING.
    Do you know what it feels like to stand in front of emptiness in the midst of your depression ?
    I do - this is NOT a message you want to make.
    This is not the end of a story you want give, if you actually cared about your audience.

    This game isn't trying to push any political agenda, the main character just happens to be a lesbian it does not affect the game at all, nor does the trans character in the game. If you want to play as a straight white male I can name countless games.

    If you loved the first game, DO NOT buy this one. The creates of game try to push the narrative that Joel deserved his brutal death because he killed the Fireflies who were preventing to save his Ellie. Conveniently ignoring that Ellie was going to be murdered by the wonderful Zebra loving doctor without her knowledge and prior consent. I did not like the death of Joel and I am not a fan of then having to play the majority of the game as Joel's murderer. Thanks for ruining my favourite game, I regret deeply buying this game and that my money will ultimately end up as game revenue for Naughty Dog!    … Expand

    Fans lined up to buy the game was a testimony of the love and money they were willing to give for MORE of what they got in the first game. The fact that ND and Naughty Dog pissed all over those fans by dragging them into a world that completely took you away from the first game... is unforgivable. And even if that fact wasn't even the worst of it all!

BWW's characters are interesting, charming and naturally    Balan Wonderworld > The Last Of Us Part 2!

    TLOU2 completely lacks everything that Balan Wonderworld does right, including the following.

    1. BWW has gameplay that is generally fun and full of unique/creative variety that always keeps the game fresh as you progress through it, while TLOU2 is just a boring walking simulator.

    2. BWW's characters are interesting, charming and naturally likable, and the way they tackle serious issues in life gives you a good reason to actually care about the characters! Unlike TLOU2's pathetic excuse for characters, which are all just bland generic flesh-robots that you're forced to play as after one of them abruptly murders the beloved main character (without any proper transition/build-up that would've given it an emotional impact that it completely lacks when it happens), and they feel incredibly forced and manipulative with little to no actual character development whatsoever, with their main appeal being pretty much just SJW bait.

    3. BWW has a decent story that is pretty simple but carefully structured in a way that is easy to follow, and it always draws you in wanting more! Unlike TLOU2's story, which is an overly complicated incoherent mess that doesn't even know what kind of messages it's trying to convey, and is overall insulting to human intelligence to the point where it ultimately pushes you away and makes you never wanna play it ever again!    … Expand

    In The commercial of this game Neil Druckmann fools everybody to believe Ellie is going to have an adventure with Joel again, but it is not, it’s Jessie. What a shameless cheat, Neil Druckmann ruined not only the game but also Naughty dog.

    Also, the fact that there were issues being able to see the scenery past the herculean biceps of a wanna-be gangbanger was more    Had to kill a dog. The characters that should die, don't.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From false advertisement to poor storytelling, TLoU2 really drops the ball. Most games don't get far by lying in interviews, manipulating advertising to swap characters, adding fake dialogue, and purposely creating new models just to sell a false story that is completely different from the end product because they know the product is poor and is not what the fan base wants. TLoU2 is no exception.

    Couple that with the theme of "revenge is bad" seemingly impacting Ellie and Joel exponentially more than the characters who actually started the cycle of revenge (thus negating the entire "point" of the story and turning it into nothing but a torture... fetish) and potential threats of blackballing for poor critic reviews and you have the makings of a critic darling but a user flop.

    The poor storytelling and lack of narrative cohesiveness would have placed this low to begin with, but the false advertisement and subsequent fake shock by Naughty Dog forces me to give it the lowest score possible.    … Expand

    The way the story is constructed is bad. Like so bad it breaks the original. They just HAD TO be ambitious with it, didn't they? You had a golden nugget, and you ruined it. Nobody cared how smart your storytelling you thought was. They cared about the characters. And my opinion, to be clear, has nothing to do with LGBT or politics (before people start pointing fingers).

Then they try to convince you that forgiveness is better than revenge, BULL****, if Ellie was the one massacred, Joel wouldn't stop until she paid with blood what she made Graphics 9/10 (tbh in 2021 there are way more competitive graphics)
    Music 6/10 (The last of us 1 music is 10 times better than this ones)
    Gameplay 7/10 (not bad, same as TLOU 1)

    This game is a slap to the face of the fans of the first game. Gameplay is enjoyable. But not much improved from the first game. Some new combat mechanics are there but not any innovation like they claim. Other games have been doing the same thing. Graphics are extremely good. But the horrendous story, writing and pacing issues make this game below average for me

    The game-story destroys the characters from Part 1 and forces you to play as a character you don't want to play (because it is the antagonist who is hated for killing a character you already have a relationship to). As a player you get a bad feeling while playing it. Sadly. Part 1 was great. It had a better story writer.

There are more cut scenes and walking than actual gameplay. SPOILER ALERT..... they destroyed all of your favorite characters. They dumb down Joel's character on purpose to make him weak and stupid. In the first game he was very smart and had a ton of experience. He didn't even trust a guy that was sick on the road. He chose to run him over. Later we find out that stranger on the road was not sick and it was all a set up. They do everything to make you dislike Joel and continue to spit on him. They have a trans female/male shoot him in the leg and torture him with a golf club right in the first 2 hours of the game. They spit on him literally. They made Ellie unlikable and a selfish human being. She kills everyone and continued to blame Joel for saving her life. She cared so much in saving humanity because she has the immunity but instead she became a lesbian and chose not to reproduce. Let that sink in. She even let's Abby the one that tortured and murdered Joel in front of her get away with it. Abby also bit off two of Ellie's fingers. Her letting Abby go is basically saying Joel deserved dying. A loveable character who is the main character of the game. There was no justice for Joel. This game robbed everything from you just for shock value. The current narrative of destroying the male character to make the female character rise is very weak story telling. It is disrespectful to both genders. Females even hate it. Worst of all the pacing of the story is horrible. You literally play as Abby the character we hate for half the game. They tried so hard to make us like her but none of it worked. This game is a waste of time and money and should have never been created as a sequel. The critics are liars and they don't care about what the fans want. They only care about their political narrative and force you to like something that you will never accept. Then they insult you by calling you names because you don't like the product they are praising. They are the worst kind of human being. Trust the gamers that actually love playing the kind of video games you like. Those are the ones who you should listen to. Vote with your wallet and avoid this dumpster fire. Why care for a game created by a studio that is run by Neil Druckmann who is a male feminist and does not care about the fans and the people he works with. That's why 75 percent of Naughty dog left the company due to how he treated them. This game is created by people that don't care about you and backed by people that hate you.     The first part is a masterpiece. I decided to buy and go through the second one with a warm feeling of nostolgia, but the second part was frankly disappointing. The political agenda simply rejects the game. On the positive side, a beautiful picture, but I don't want to play too much.
