    This game is shameful to think the studio name Naughty Dog once meant something. The animators and individuals who built the textures and models should take pride in their work. How did this become a game, who signed off on this and allowed it in the end. Speaking of the word end there isn't one it's pathetic it's the equivalent of the developer spitting in your face after already beating you into the ground. I really wish I could give this more than a 0 for the model/texture designers, animation devs, and people who helped sculpt the underlying fundamentals. But the writers poor job takes away the score I was going to give them. It is so bad that I am actually taking time to review a **** game instead of playing another one.

    This piece was shameful, There isn't enough bleach in the world to wash my eyes out and clear my head of this pathetic pathetic excuse of a "story" My 3 year old niece writes better stories and all she has to do is scribble a picture together and it's coherent. They sacrifice good storytelling and coherent plot lines to get across a political message. I’m all for the social inclusion and diversity, but killing the most beloved character in the worst way possible and having the entire game be about revenge, just to leave such a disappointment of an ending.     It all feels like a repetitive task, with empty emotionless characters. It's almost like a PR stunt - they killed off the protagonist just so they could give Ellie a girlfriend - which nobody likes by the way. Not because of her "love" preferences, but because of how she is introduced: she is the one to kill Joel! Naughty Dog thought that a few-minutes-long introduction would've made up for that, and that we'd all start loving her. Well, they were terribly wrong.

    That storyline is a garbage fire, the gameplay get tedious quickly and it's just a very big disappointment over the last of us 1.
    The only thing saving the game are the graphics, and even then characters have a huge uncanny feeling.

    2. Let you play for good and feel hatred to bad 3. Let you play for bad character and make you change ur opinion about her. Feel sorry, sympathize her, 4. Again play for good character and feel contradiction in interaction with bad character. It is a nice idea, but there is one problem: 3rd point is ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE FAILURE, and    Main game idea:

What isn't blasphemous is just how terribly written the story of this game is. You attempted to make a revenge/avenger sequel and ended up making a piece of **** mixed with a rainbow that will go down in history as the biggest example of a producer missing the mark with their audience. Why the SJWs at metacritic gave it an obnoxiously high score is beyond me; however, i think they were scared of negatively reviewing a game that had two same sex, gay female protagonists. However, playing this game is like watching a ridiculous movie that makes no sense whatsoever. Joel in TLOU told Ellie never trust people out there. But in TLOU II, Joel be like: "Hi, I'm Joel and this is my brother. We live nearby and my SSN is 12345."
    I almost stopped playing when the game let you play Abby. I just don't care about her or what she has been through. What is worse is the ending. I know people have different perspectives of revenge. But ellie killed hundreds of people just to meet this Abby girl but enventually let her go?     Broke the disc in two, threw it and threw the art image that was on the game's box, and used the box for one of my games that didn't have one, 60 bucks for a cd-case, good investement.

    This franchise doesn't have a sequel to me.

    They already mention the word "Bigot" at minute 10.
    Not only do they kill the main character at first, but they make you play to "empathize" with an unclean character who didn't even have a really powerful motive for killing Joel. And you have to see when it is f%%&ed.
    UNPLEASANT!
    Abby's father wanted to kill Ellie, Joel had the right to blow her head off.
    Not only that ... Joel saves Abby's life in the bars against the zombies and pays him by blowing his leg off with a shotgun. Complete garbage.
    And finally, the player can't even take revenge on that nasty character by playing with Ellie.
    Playable appearance and aesthetics: Normal, it has some bugs, but the graphics are fine.

    The game is a play manufactured to purposely break Naughty Dog.
    Never buy a game from this company again. Naughty Dog is dead.    … Expand

    This one was tough, let's get the good stuff out of the way first:

    Graphics; Best I've ever seen together with Red Dead Redemption 2. Sound: Not as memorable as the first game but still very good, on a technical level it's amazing. Gameplay: The controls are responsive and the animations are among the best I've seen in a game.     Gameplay: The controls are responsive and the animations are among the best I've seen in a game. The AI is not the best but a great improvement over the first game. The dodge and prone mechanics are both nice improvements over the first game.

    Now the bad stuff, I'll start lightly;

    The pacing is sometimes worse than the first game due to more open areas, I felt like there was a bit too much exploring before something happend in the story. The first game had more evenly spread out portions of combat/exploration/cutscenes.

    The new characters aren't all that intresting, but that's mostly because it's hard to avoid comparing them to Joel and Ellie who are always excellent. Dina is one of the worst and most annoying characters I've ever seen in a game, and totally unintresting. Abby was better but I felt her story could have been told through DLC or a spin-off.

    The story in general is not bad, I actually enjoyed alot of it. The main problem I had with the game was Joel's fate. How they could do this to a beloved character that I waited 7 years to go on an adventure with again is unbelivable. A few hours into the game I felt absolutely no reason to go on and finish the game. What kept me going was mostly because I enjoyed the beautiful scenaries.

    I had no real issue with the characters being gay/bi/whatever, but after hearing the word "bigot" twice in the first hour I kinda understood that this was gonna be another one of those "message over story" productions.

    This could have been so great, the potential is surely there. But Naughty Dog went for shock value instead of something more traditional and maybe boring. The problem with shocking the audience is that now something is broken that can't be fixed, and if there's ever a third game I couldn't care less about it.

    I had waited 7 years, I was hyped as hell, I trusted you Naughty Dog, I payed $60, and I got spit in the face, that's how I feel. So while the game looks like a 10 for someone who's not invested in the first game like I was, for me... it will be a genuine 0.    … Expand

    I put the game down halfway through, ain’t about to finish it. Achieved similiar "stunning graphics" on most of my PC games. Sold my copy on the used market already (yes, I warned the buyer, as is fair).

    If you liked the first game, do yourself a favor and forget this one exists, this game actively makes a mockery of what made the first games story and characters special to so many people. If you want to play it for just the gameplay you'll likely enjoy it, but if you care about the story and characters at all, you're better off staying away

    Why the false advertising? Why the hyper salaciousness? Why did you do this? Graphics were decent, gameplay still very weighted but has its own vibe which is nice. On a technical level a find sign off for this generation, as far as story, an under pinning of how ND is being led by sex obsessed sociopaths.
