    Neil Druckmann disrespects all the fans of the original game like no one did before. The game is just disgusting. All the leaks are legit. The game is the equivalent of the Last Jedi that’s how bad it is. The game has nice graphics and that’s about it. The gameplay is the same no new improvements at all. And the story is an example of how to destroy a beloved game. Neil Druckmann and mostNeil Druckmann disrespects all the fans of the original game like no one did before. The game is just disgusting. Avoid this game as the pest if you’re a fan of the original game. As for me the game ended with the first part and this abomination doesn’t exist for me. I originally gave this game a 2/10 for having nice graphics but because of artificial boosting of the score by metacritic I’ve decided to give it the lowest score possible just to balance things out a lil’ bit.… Expand

    The in-game physics and graphics make it a good game without doubt. But the terrible narratives and plots in this sequel totally ruined . The more deep you love TLoU, the more disgust and abomination you will experience playing-through TLoU2.

    You can read any of the hundreds of other negative reviews for a collected spread of what the issues are but I'll simply say that the story is poorly written, the "meaning" is contrived, and the structure of the storyboard is a dumpster fire. I mean what did they think Last of Us is? What do you think made the first one amazing? The graphics? The zombie theme? The gameplay? They certainly helped but no, it wasn't any of that. It was Ellie and Joel's relationship that made that game good, and this game just left that very thing in the dust in the first two hours of the game.

    So I'm sorry, it doesn't matter how good the animation is, how good the graphics are, how cleaned up the gameplay is. The story itself destroys this game. It doesn't just fail to add anything to the game, it completely detracts from it, erasing any good points the technical aspects granted this game. It deserves every 0/10 it gets.    … Expand

    Sadly, this sequel is a poorly written revenge story, which tries force its message down you throat, too which it becomes cringe worthy. They try to introduce new characters, but fails miserably in giving them any depth.

Literally didn't even give him a fighting chance. Gameplay is fun but thats not why I bought the game. I got it for the story and this game lacks.     While visually stunning, after the infamous scene happened, the game honestly just felt like such a drag to play. If it had to happen, I wish it would have at least been written and executed in a better way. In a way that wouldn't put such a damper on the spirit of anyone who played it. After such a disgusting way to treat a beloved character, trying to have me sympathize with the bad guy for almost half the game just felt like a slap to the face. I understand that this is a rough world that they live in and dying comes unexpectedly and brutally, but before anything, this is a VIDEO GAME. video games are meant to be enjoyable and immerse the player to keep wanting to play more, but this game did just the opposite. Critics say this ga,e is being 'review-bombed' by 'homophobic' or 'transphobic' gamers, but I cannot stress enough how much that is not even close to the case. You look at other games that feature an lgbt relationship, and they still get a high rating provided the story is good enough. End of the day, this is just a lazily-written game and an utter disappointment. This wasn't the sequel we wanted, and even after waiting 7 years for it, I wish it never happened.… Expand

    Even though the game seems to have improved in many aspects, it's story ruins it, the story is bland, it contains lots of fillers and the ending makes you feel empty, because it conveys very little to no emotion, making the protagonist's journey pointless

Not to mention you never get revenge on she hulk for killing joel, killing your friend Jesse and for shooting Tommy's eye out. And I'm not pissed because Joel died. I'm pissed at HOW he died… Expand

    The game look absolutely beautiful; environment designs, lighting, textures - but the story is a complete disappointment in every way. It seems like an attempt to take all that is sacred in the human experience, and force you to feel nothing but negativity. It is as though the decision making in the game development was given to a resentful child wanting to annoy the world.

    Dont even bother. The SJW BS feels so forced and out of place in this game. And the game forces you to play a character you hate for like half the game, why?

    Ill give it a 2 because the game worked and looked mostly visually pleasing. But that isnt even saying much since its a console game and is stuck with 30 fps anyways.

    She still go on to chase a half dead abby and challenge abby to a fight only to let her go. Ellie has no mental strength at all and in the end she loses the person she loves all for revenge. I'm a huge fan of joel and im certainly not happy on how he died but i accept it although I think Joel wouldn't want Ellie to risk everything for revenge    … Expand

My issue was having to play this new character called Abby. I couldn't care less about her and approximately 50% of the game you play as her. She's hollow, uninteresting and unlikable and I just couldn't connect with her the same way I did with Joel and Ellie in part 1.

    I ended up reducing the difficult to very light. I had no desire to improve skills and gun specs. I stopped looting vaults and cupboards/drawers altogether. Despite all of this, her parts still felt like an eternity. It completely ruined the game for me.    … Expand

The gameplay becomes repetitive and tiring very quickly, and when I think of it, it would probably have been the same with TLOU 1 if it wasn't for how invested we were in the story and the relationship between Ellie and Joel, on top of being accompanied with some excellent narrative elements.

    The best bits of TLOU2 are precisely the flashbacks featuring Joel and Ellie... if you decided to make a sequel, THAT was the game you should have made as that's what I would have been interested into.

    Instead, TLOU2 is a soulless return to the same universe of the first game but with characters and a story I just don't give a damn about and without being invested in the story it makes this game far less enjoyable, to the point where I found it repetitive and tiring...    … Expand

    With all this new technology and moderate gameplay improvements (but no one really played for the gunplay tbh) it had set the stage to completely outshine its legacy and create a true game of the year or even decade, all of its hard hitting emotional scenes fall flat or worse, induce a feeling of dis-satisfaction and disappointment, the relationship between the players and the characters was handled with utter contempt, with no saving grace between them, if we can even call them the same characters, many of them do not act consistently and often jump to irrational and illogical decisions that have been shown repeatedly to be against their entire backstory and demeanor.

    I don't know if the original writers were bought back for this game, but i heavily doubt it, TLOU was not a game that can stand up based on its gunplay alone, 80% of its core was a compelling story with relatable and consistent characters, its successor needed to be handled with the utmost care and tact, of which it failed to the point that im not sure if they were even trying, i feel bad for the coders and programmers that poured so much of their heart into it, because that does show, the writing team had failed the game, the company and their co-workers, its madness that no one tried to pull them up on it.    … Expand

    Pros:
    jugabilidad, gráficos, escenarios, sonido, música
    Todas esas partes son innegablemente muy buenas. Son de primera categoría. Claro que los controles a veces se sienten raros, pero lo hacen en la mayoría de los juegos. Sería injusto decir que este juego no está actualizado en términos de todos los puntos que mencioné.
    Contras:
    Historia, diseño de personajes, desarrollo de personajes, agujeros en la trama.
    Entonces, incluso con todas las ventajas, este juego es realmente muy malo. NO tiene sentido que Ellie actúe como actúa en ciertas partes del juego, pero eso no es lo más importante sobre por qué es malo. La razón es: desarrollo del personaje.     I purchased a PS4 solely for this game. I had no prior knowledge or watched/read any spoilers of what events would take place in the game. Within the first hour, well we all know what happens. Instantly after this I lost interest in the game, it felt a grind and frustrating to play. It had so much potential, could have had so much deeper meaning. The best storyline was about yarah and Lilly. A breath of Fresh air with secondary characters... and how about the main ones???!! Boring! Storyline is very bad. Why wouldn’t they give a player a choice? Like deciding who to spare or kill throughout the game would give different outcomes and might have at least given some joy in killing Abby. If this was supposed to be about vengeance, don’t you know in America that it is best served cold? Out of respect for part I, this was the first game I ever bought as a pre order. Lesson learnt. I played the whole game and I never wrote any game review before. But decided to express my disappointment the only way I can. Don’t get me wrong I played worse games than TLOU2 but with a masterpiece the first part was, the sequel is just the biggest let down of the decade. Feel sorry for everyone who worked so hard on Graphics as it is just amazing, it reminded me of Thief's End. Weapons bench improved a lot and hiding underneath the cars gave gameplay more options. Music, bigger world, layouts, design, actors play all great! They build everything as I hoped, mechanically and technically except the most important thing in the game- it’s narrative, and heart. I give it 3/10 cos games should be about the story and make the player want to play it over many times.     This game doesn't do justice for the first game at all. If they want to say a story about the character which we didn't we even want to play then it had to be a separate game. People come to this game to play in the shoes of Joel and Eli.
