    The appeal of this game as his predecessor is the plot. This is a heavy plot-based game where characters are the most uninteresting and the decisions feel forced. It's also a long game, if you watch a 2 hour movie and is trash at least it was a short experience, this game lasts 25 hours and doesn't redeem his poor writing at any point.

    Nothing about the game was fun after Joel’s death, especially playing as Abby for the majority of this game was probably the worst thing they could have done . I ask hate the fact that Ellie just lets her go and we can’t even do anything to get revenge on her

    Ruined the last of us legacy. A complete disaster of a game. Didn't enjoy it because they messed up the entire story. One of the worst written video game i have ever seen. Anyone who loves the first part knows how bad the game is. They changed the way characters act. Their behaviour is completely changed from the previous installment.     >Joel foolishly believed he could trust outsiders when he was NEVER like that to begin with.
    >Kill off Joel without him saying much to Abby, and no lastwords to Ellie.
    >Force us to play Abby, the one who took Ellie's father Joel away from her.
    >You changed Ellie's looks... to where she's unrecognizable in some aspects compared tothe first game.
    >Made the game way too easy.
    >While you managed to make the world feel somewhat immersive, you still made it feel super empty.
    >The Seraphites were a knockoff of Eden's Gate from Far Cry New Dawn.
    >Gave us a bittersweet first ending where Ellie settles down with Dinah but it still felt lonely, then made everything go go **** with PTSD.
    >Made a tortured Ellie travel a far far way to kill Abby, BUT ONLY TO SPARE THE ENEMY. There was NO reason to let all of those killings be in vain. The real Ellie believed that it couldn't be for nothing. Nobody would have hunted down Ellie or anyone else if Abby was killed. Joel was literally just saving his daughter from being murdered, and then he had to pay with his life. Ellie lost her father with the last memories of him being beaten to death, into a bloody pulp. So she let's the one that caused her so much pain and agony go, unjustified mercy. Abby got so many people on both sides killed. So Abby also takes Ellie's two fingers from her. Who thought this was a good idea?

    I knowhow the review system works for the most part, but I doubt the official reviews were genuine in any way, shape, or form. Anything bellow a 5 is pretty much negative. So this 2 was well deserved. The idea you were still able to get 5 and up is disgusting. The only thing good about this game was the strong attention to physical detail, but that's really it. This was one of the greatest disappointments for me. I over looked the PC stuff that even I'm personally opposed to, only to find out it really doesn't matter because either way, this was one of the largest media failures in a long while. Now ND can't even take the criticism and try to do right by people. May they go bankrupt. I've signed the petition to urge Sony to rework TLOU Part 2's story. Maybe they can replace Druckmann with somebody worthy of giving the Last of Us the sequel it actually deserves.    … Expand

    If you love the 1st part, you will hate this game. Although game play is great, the story is so disgusting.
    Every main chapters are counter logic. Hard to enjoy the game-play at all.

Cause when you play part 1, you feel like you are in a movie, you feel every emotion, it's fitting. Why did you do this to your fans and our loved character? The story of the game is really BAD. It's such crazy like if you played 10 hours as David just after killing and eating Ellie in the first part of the game. And Joel forgave him at the end, and after that David became new protagonist in TLOU. This is madness.
    The only one thing that is good is graphic. Not even gameplay, it's almost the same like in TLOU1

    If you approve / like the writing choices made for this game you're either a sociopath or you're paid by the developers. The story of this game is a disgrace at best, a spit in the face of iconic characters (literally) and of millions of gamers. However, you can't deny the absolutely stunning graphics, and great soundtracks. In fact, these are the only good things in this wasted franchise.

    they **** ruined one of the best video game series out there. First thing that bugged me is that u didnt even play as Joel for 5 minutes, and they just kill him off the first hour of the game. and the main characters development was so ass, Ellies character was ok but Jesse, Dina, Lev etc. Ellies journey in Seattle was quite boring if u ask me. After playing 10 hours as Ellie, YOU SWITCH OVER TO ABBIE (the **** who killed Joel) and you play as her for 10 **** hours, and your forced to play as Abbie and fight Ellie. which is probably the worst fighting scene i have ever witnessed. another very big thing that bugged me is when main characters like Jesse and whatever the **** when they die they never get mentioned ever again. I cant make this up, when Jesse died his name was never mentioned ONCE and hes Dinas boyfriend and her kids father, ffs. After playing as Abbie for a painful and boring 10 hours and fighting Ellie and forcing you to beat the **** out of Ellie you finally switch over to Ellie. Ellie still wants revenge after that ****ty ass revenge plot when playing as Abbie and playing as her for 10 hours and fighting Ellie. Ellie goes to California wanting to **** Abbie up, and Ellie killed hundreds of people just to get to Abbie, and when she did they were walking together doing nothing for a few minutes until she got a flashback of Joel and now she wants to fight here,,,, i cant make this **** up such a **** ass game. when she fights Abbie, Ellie beats the **** out of Abbie which kinda got me hyped especially when Ellie was drowning Abbie, but then she got another **** flashback of Joel and she LITERALLY LETS ABBIE GO. so pretty much Ellie killed hundreds of people and lost two fingers and a few of her friends just for her to let Abbie go and basically Naughty Dog are wanting to tell us 'rEveNgE iS bAD'. i was waiting 7 years for this game and was so hyped when it they revealed the release date, it was supposed to be a good year for gaming.     1. Joel dies in the most ridiculous and horrible way possible.
    2. You play as Joel’s killer, mrs Olympia. 3. You freaking have to fight ELLIE midway. 4. After going on her spree she decides to let Joel’s killer go... ok then.. 5. Worst ending ever!     Realism, fine it’s an apoplectic world and people would lose everything, but cmon it is just a game that we waited 7 years for and the main reason most of us loved the first one was the Ellie and Joel relationship. There were plenty of other options such as Dina or Tommy getting killed and the story goes from there. This is what the trailer those years ago suggested. Also, I stand by my point that Joel died in a ridiculous way. Did he deserve to get killed? He did wrong definitely but at least let him die saving Ellie.
    People mentioned about letting Abby live because of taking care of Lev, tbh that’s fair and I can understand that.
    Is this good story telling? Personally no as it’s a normal revenge plot but again it’s up to you.
    Is the ending bad? Depends on how you see it, personally yes.
    Does it make sense? Ellie became a mom so I can see it as Lev was there so she let Abby go, still upsetting as Joel never gets the justice he deser    … Expand

    You ruined the sequel to one of the best games I've ever played. I could relate so much to Joel and Ellie in the first one, here everything is just upside down, you play as a character you know nothing about, can't sympathize, ended killing your favorite character. But you don't get to kill her back to complete the revenge???!! Where's the satisfaction in that???!

    Can't see much progress in game system since LOU1. Most of all, horrible story. Even though Naughty Dog sacrificed main characters of LOU1 for their storyline, I never couldn't understand Abby and even Ellie. This game is just a waste of money. I would rather play Warcraft Reforged instead of this crap.

    Graphics in TLOU 2 is fine, gameplay same to first part, but plot and characters are terrible.
    Naughty dog loosed trust of most gamers, like a lot of companies before, as they spit on their fans.
    Gameplay trailers are usuless, and try to make us fools.

The biggest attraction of the game was the fraternal love that developed between Joel and Ellie throughout the entire game until the end, that's why everyone liked it, and they repeated the game (I repeated the game 7 times) The worst decision was to kill Joel at the start of the game, and replace the fraternal love that developed in the first game with love crap at first sight lol. We ALL bought the game from Joel and Ellie. We expect dramatic scenes between Joel and Ellie and the brilliant idea was to kill him after 40min of gameplay. The story of TLOU 2 is a total rubbish which I am sure NO ONE will play the game 2 times, for the simple reason that the story is not enjoyable ... in the first game the vast majority played the campaign several times .. I doubt very much that anyone wants to play it a second time. Another point, all the other characters could have been dismembered or burned alive and we wouldn't have minded ... BECAUSE THERE WAS NO DEVELOPED ATTACHMENT. The only attachment we had was the Joel - Ellie relationship (who was even having a hard time, and they could have worked from there). They really should fire those who had the stupid idea to eliminate fraternal love and incorporate love without any attachment from users, I don't think they can work on a TLOU 3. Ah, good job taking Ellie's fingers off her so she could never play the guitar again, the only thing Joel left her.

    The technical aspect of the game is incredible and everything related to the environment and the mechanics are quite well elaborated.

    The game tends to be too long and unnecessary in some respects and breaks with all the themes that were built in the first game.

    The story is simply bad, the characters are rewritten for the benefit of the plot, too many plot conveniences and an empty, meaningless and inconclusive ending.

    I do not disagree that Joel dies, the idea of ​​revenge is an interesting concept on paper, however, the execution is always more important than the idea and this work fails completely in the execution.
    Joel's death is hasty, forced and a very large character potential is wasted by removing him from the plot.

    On the other hand, the scene of Joel's death doesn't make sense, how did they know who Joel was? How come the shelter doors were open when they escaped from zombies? Why does Abby mention that she knows him without having interacted with him before?

    Because of this, all those pleasant moments between Elie and Joel are lost, and the story to try to "justify" Elie's behavior, makes use of very boring flashbacks that in hindsight do not make much sense and are mere routine memories to appeal to. the good moments

    And the worst part is Abby, because it is the character that begins this sequel. The game tries to give humanity and empathize with it, however, it is done at an important moment and just when it kills Jesse. Not only that, but in a revenge story, the least you can hope for is a personal relationship and character building between Abby and Elie. However, there is no character dialogue between the two, and Abby is the least, one of the most forgettable characters due to the little characterization she has and what will be remembered for having killed Joel.

    The ending is disastrous and also makes no sense in the first place, the group that kidnaps Abby what is that group supposed to be and does? Where are they supposed to go at the end with the boat? Why does Elie let Abby live? They have not spoken at all or a constructive interaction, are you really trying to make believe that someone does not kill another person without knowing a little what that person is like? Why is Dina leaving the house? What about Jackson?

    This sequel raises more questions than the first, but these are not due to a depth of a good story, but a totally convenient script and without having delved at all.

    Revenge is a controversial topic that can take a very important role in a story like The Last of Us, however, considering that there have been plot conveniences, little or no character construction and empty outcome. Well, it does not manage to open a conversation about humanity or offer a good outcome according to what was stated in the first game, much less the second.

    This game may be a wonder, as I said before, in the technical aspect and a reference in the evolution of video games in terms of aesthetics. But in the narrative aspect it is a failure and I hope and I only wish this game were not like that because it is unprofitable and it causes me a lot of disappointment.

    Replay the game? Absolutely no.

Joel is a persecuted and very suspicious person, but suddenly he trusts a group he just met and even reveals his name to them, dies in an imbecile way at the beginning of the game even though he was one of the most important characters. Ellie witnessed everything and with that seeks revenge and kills literally everyone on her way to get to Abby, Joel's killer. However, in the end, she has a flashback of Joel, the one who was brutally killed by Abby and started it all, and then she just spares Abby and that's it. Is there any finale **** than that? It's literally like if John Wick in the final moments gave up of killing the guy who killed his dog. It's not even close to the greatness that the first game was and it's clearly not worth your money.… Expand
