    The Last of Us Part 2 is not bad gameplay but the worst story performance, I wish I was playing the Game of the year's videogame but turns out it's the depression of the year. A lot of political correctness and abuse of the LGBTQ, even I have to show the empathy to respect those bad people who killed the main character during the mid-game, makes me wanna throw up.

    Let's talk about the gameplay experience: it's good as part 1 and crueler to the enemy and you may see a lot of insane dismemberment and head explosion if you headshot or blow them up. Interesting at exploring a half-open world map. There will be no supply shortage if you fully looted the map. And each enemy has their own name which is pretty cool, they will warn each other name if somebody gets killed. Then you need to know how to deal with those infected, if you've played part 1 before, it won't be too hard to fight them. And the last one is the workbench. they did pretty well on the animation of upgrading your weapon, I'll feel satisfied every time I upgrade my weapon.

    And that's all for the good part of this game, now we get to the most disgusting part of this disaster: the Storytelling. I'll try not to spoil it as much as possible, but the most favorite character just gets killed at the very beginning of the game, just because of a speechless reason, doesn't mean we have to play the villain in the game, get to know hers background also know why she had to kill him only to show sympathy. I only want her dead for revenge, but the Naughty Dog shows me that's impossible, that makes me wanna just quit this game only for that.

    Another reason that makes this game awful is the Character development. There's a lot of character in this game that you probably wouldn't get to know them better, then they'll die during the story, so what's the point of adding them into the story? making them suffer just to let the plot being extremely tense and exciting? I don't think that'll work. every time I'm seeing some unknown characters get shot or stabbed, I didn't even feel sad for them, because there's no point in mourning them if you never get to know who they are. Besides, I have to kill a pregnant woman in the game then I just felt guilty about it? To be honest, this is the first game that made me kill a pregnant woman, well then, there's any significance in adding a pregnant woman in the game for what? Woman empowerment? I mean this is not "Game of Thrones", and that's what Naughty Dog was doing. And they failed.

    So is this game worth playing? for gameplay: Maybe, wait till is on sale. But experience the story: Not recommended, it leaves a big gap between part 1, I would not say is the sequel, that'll be ashamed for it. I've played part 1 remastered when I got my ps4 and is clearly a masterpiece, makes me feel like I'm watching a touching and a real tear-jerker movie. Then jump into part 2, a muppet show, which is watching people killing each other and having some elements of feminism. I was fully anticipating part 2 gets releases but after all of this happening, all the things I had were the memories for part 1.    … Expand

The environments, attention to detail, combat, even the voice acting and character animations/acting was great... But the game is a story based game... And the story is ABYSMAL. I get what they were going for, and they did it well, but they needed to ask themselves "should we do this" and the answer is "NO". The very first line of text from Ellies mouth is "it was just a kiss" talking about a lesbian relationship. Instead of actual survival, it seems the entire purpose of this game is to virtue signal and shove political viewpoints down people's throats in the form of entertainment. None of the story actually makes sense. Characters die in the most ridiculous ways. It plays like an updated last of us, but the ending has to be the absolute worst ending of any game I've ever played. It leaves you angry. It doesn't leave you satisfied.

    The ending to this game... The entire story... It has to be the most forced and awful writing I have EVER witnessed... And it's such a shame because artistically, this game is probably one of the most jaw dropping and engaging games I've ever played... But when a cutscene is what makes you quit the game, not a bug or bs difficulty... But just sheer annoyance with the story... There's a MAJOR problem.     The game would have been better if they deleted half of it and just given us the ending we wanted. I spent half my time playing this game and not caring about what was happening at all. To top it all off you get cock teased in the last scene in a moment of stupidity that can only be described as mind boggling.     I've never owned a Playstation until recently. Long ago, when The Last of Us 1 came out I purchased it, borrowed my brothers console, marathoned the game, and returned the console + game for my brother to experience the masterpiece himself. Part 1 was truly one of the best games I've played

    Part 2 is really enjoyable, but doesn't quite hit the mark that the first did. I felt like I was being compelled to like the characters, even though I didn't. The story showed horrific actions of one group, then later tried to make you connect with them. When certain people died, the game wanted you to sympathize for them, but really I couldn't have cared less. I know it sounds like I'm a hollow human being, and there are two sides to every story, but that is the problem with rushing character development. When you've connected with the original characters for so long in a masterfully done game, only for new forced connections to be made, it just makes you roll your eyes and trudge through the rest in order to get closure.

    I like to dwell for a while after completing story driven works. Part 2, in many ways does not make sense. I get the direction the writers were going, but I honestly do not believe people would act in the way that they did in the game. Multiple times I had a suspension of disbelief, only to look back at what happened and realize that it didn't make sense.

    The combat is an improvement for sure, but once you've beat the game I don't think there is any reason to go back. I actually laughed when the game told me there was a NewGame+ mode.    … Expand

    I don’t get why people hate this game that much. Animations, graphics etc. Were amazing. Storytelling was unreal as usual. If i am being honest, this wasn’t the story that i wanted to hear but i still enjoyed it a lot. Definetly an unique experience.

    Best story-telling I've ever experienced in any kind of media. Never has a game had me sit there with wide-open eyes of astonishment and/or shock as often as this one did. It ingeniously depicts its characters not as good or bad but as shades of grey. Naughty Dogs best work yet and an improvement of the first part in every way!

    En su apartado técnico y visual, se trata de un producto con gráficos increíbles y buenas mecánicas de juego, PERO, en detrimento de la calificación del mismo, se trata de una historia muy superficial, con un final tremendamente malísimo, pero sobre todo decepcionante para los fans del juego anterior. A título personal, solo se lo recomiendo a los que no sean fans de TLOU I.

God this game :c sense I was a child I loved the last of us great game never really got to buy it but I watched the same gameplay several times and it was the best, I was so exited when I say that part 2 coming out but... Because of this game it hurts my heart to hear the name the last of us. Now the gameplay is great really sticks to the gameplay of the first game but with new stuff plus the Amazing gráfics and world. But the thing that I loved the most was the story. And thus game ruined it. They killed one of the most beloved video games character and one of my favourites (also tortured him) and Ellie really changed a lot and I guess it's trying to show us that people change and there's nothing to do about it but killing Joel and The end with Ellie:'c I hated the story so much that at the end I am not lying u cried because I really hated it not only that if you wanna finish the game you have to play as the girl who killed Joel WHY poor Ellie this game really Opened a whole in my heart.
    I will miss Joel so much and hearing that the last of us is gonna get a series just makes me want to cry cause I don't feel like I want to hear anything about this game after part 2 (sorry for bad English)    … Expand

    I never experienced a story so well told. It gets you involved and it plays with your feelings in so many ways. I simply won't look at games the way I did before. And really the beauty of it all is actually how diverse and real the characters are.

    First half is excellent. The wind left it’s sails about half the way through. A few adjustments to the game and I would have rated it 9/10. Sadly, a few poorly conceived elements made it a 5/10 experience.

I wish I could forget about this story and save my humble imagination about what could happened. Total crap and piece of shame represented through lgbt. It just don't have any idea except promotion of strong girls. Through all game there no more fear of zombie apocalypse, it is clear that people can handle with decease, no willing to survive in difficult circumstances, just one stupid revenge inherited from another even more stupider revenge and all story ended without any purpose or just a little logic. Not shown why Ellie gone for it, but shown why she shouldn't. Not shown what she had reached, but shown that she lost everything for granting enemy a life. What happened with Ellie? She had just turned from strong person to silly boy in moment or just tired to hide her apathy to Joel? And what about another "protagonist"? A murder and a moral monster turned into saint because what. First time she put up about dozen of people, and when they all die it became not so really personal to hit back. Such poor stupid script. Just a comic to all silly men (by the way all man characters are rather died or made disabled) how lesbian woman are strong (by the way survived only lesbians). Okay you are great, maybe, but please make a bold mark on the game "don't buy, if you care". I feel shame not for sex orientation of main characters, but for stupidness of all picture, it's just empty, also as my even slightest expectations of any kind interesting story. Now I'm certain in further plans - sell (better burn) this sh#t and try to forget like bad dream.… Expand

People that keep saying “this game is realistic” “Joel and tommy has softened” or “joel killed Abbys father.” Purposely love to forget that Joel was to left a family on the side of the road behind to save his own family so what sense does it make for him and tommy to immediately save Abby in the middle of a bunch of infected risking their own lives almost? She should’ve died right there and only there, Joel and tommy both survived multiple occasions separated or together for 20 damn years and are basically survival experts next to ellie who Joel taught how to swim, and not to be trusting with others and you can see that when she refused to give her name to David. If they had softened they wouldn’t forget automatically their survival instincts they’ve learned for 20 years and had rested 5 years still going on searches out for infected and resources you don’t just forget stuff like that! Last but not least **** abbys dad, Abby is nothing but a oc off a badly written fanfiction and her dAd was willing to kill ellie without permission all for a cure that wouldn’t even work? When The Last Of Us part 2 received so many negatives, I gave up the purchase. I didn't want to spoil the impression of the first part.     I think people at the end could decide if they want to kill abby or not, as same as Jin sakai in ghost of tsushima, was up to player to kill or spare his uncle ...
    But its still a masterpiece, amazing realistic fight mechanics, graphics look like a movie, audio is crazy good .... I feel sorry about people who didnt get what Neil meant by ending ... After 7 yrs waiting for two of the most heartfelt characters in gaming to be reunited I was buoyed my the trailers and immediately pre ordered the VIP package. The original game left me in tears numerous times it was so beautiful. Watching two broken people come to life through each other was simply magic. That mixed with incredible acting, gameplay, writing, and graphics 10/10

    What they have done with the story in the second is criminal. You not only took the heart from the game, you did it with a sneer. You make your team labor and create some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a game. Astounding work. The acting again is incredible. But having read Neil Drukman's own comments, it appears you wanted to make a statement. A woke statement.

    You killed, no tortured the main character. I love Ellie. But Ellie without Joel is a 95 woman in an apocalypse fighting well trained fighters twice her weight. Not too mention infected. Realism that was so good in the original... gone. With Joel there as a team, Ellie was believable. She had some great bow skills etc. Joel and his love for Elie and vice versa is truly what made the game edgy as well as human. And you did it, it seems to be woke. Then you advertised the game in a way that made it look like Joel would be there. You lied to the fans that pretty much worshiped you for creating such a masterpiece. For creating something beautiful.

    And of course, Most of the strong characters you fight against are woman. Supplements are big in the future I guess? Abbey is built like an mma fighter.

    Then you make the grieving player, yes most of , the fans that actually still played the game, you made us play as Joel's killer. (The only good thing is that I spent way too much time getting her killed and loving it. )

    I could go on, but the STORY is literally revenge porn. That is it. No matter how hard you try, you can not like Abbey. And the ending you give is like one of those unsatisfying videos .

    If you loved the last of us. and I absolutely did. DO NOT PLAY THIS. Forget it ever happened. Try and imagine Joel and Ellie etc living their lives out in happiness. Don't give these liars any more money.
    For the record I am just one person, but I buy around 10-15 games a year. Usually preorder. But those days are done. I will be going to Youtube reviews etc This is on naughty dogs for lying and turning an absolute diamond into a lump of woke coal .    … Expand

The Last Of Us Part II isn't really concerned with the idea of combat, though its admittedly great-lasered-down gameplay would make you believe otherwise. It mostly decides to wrestle against a multitude of heavy, capital-I Important topics instead, drowning its already submerged dead weight of self-seriousness with one of the bleakest, most uncompromising plot structures I've seen for a blockbuster PS4 game. Mostly, I found it hard to watch, with the inherent revenge thread being one-upped by frequent pulpy lashings of blood among the many encounters along the way in an ill-fated attempt at discouraging revenge, but I also was slapped senseless by the silliness of it all, and whether this even works as effective allegory.

    it's a shame to watch as all of the ambition and technical beauty on display here goes wildly underserved by its moral simplicity. Why is this as thorny as your typical Oscar drama? Remember at the end of the previous game when Joel set a dangerous precedent by lying to his surrogate daughter Ellie to her face? Where's that? Well, mostly sideline in favor of the least interesting plotline. There are only so many slow, agonizing Important, dramatic moments about family, revenge, and death you can take before they all start to blur, and unfortunately, this has very little to offer beyond them. So if you could not handle certain events in GoT Season 1 , then maybe keep away from this game, because you won't be able to handle this game as well. Naughty Dog apparently had a meeting after that and said "We are now super successful...how can we ruin that?" The answer?     I've only finished playing this game a week ago and i feel betrayed. The gameplay was significantly improved over the years, guns felt more realistic and graphics sometimes was astonishing. BUT the story… Without comparison with the first part i would give it at least a 6/10, however unfortunately for Naughty dog, it exists. I'm studying as a scriptwriter and many moves in the second game are bloody awful. For example the Joel's death was written so poorly. He just died and that was kind of it. Yes, he could've died in reality like this but then it's not a great story. I don't think you'd like to watch me sit in the corner of the room and write scenarios for hours. They could've made his death much better. for example: after a tough fight Joel gets bitten while they're travelling and has to make sure that Ellie is safe before he eventually kills himself. It took me about 2 minutes to think about something mor exciting than 'he just dies lol'. After that begins the good old revenge quest, which is. Now i'd like to have little talk about Abby. I wanted to kill myself and my entire family when this creature was introduced. She is nothing of a character. Not only are her motivations wasted but she also looks like a tyler1, thus making her seem like a joke. You can clearly see that they underpaid a scriptwriter because there wasn't a lot of effort in making this garbage. Now i'll just state that the ending is some Naruto type of thing. I sure didn't expect it but not in a good way.

    But of course. The graphics looks astonishing, they weapons feel more real, even the common enemies have more personality. Locations are not that linear and some mechanics feel more polished. Unfortunately stealth is still lower than the deus ex human revolution level. That's kind of it.

    In conclusion i have to admit the fact that if you play a game for a gameplay and not for a story this might be your pick. However if you want a great and entertaining story, just play death stranding or cyberpunk 2077.    … Expand

    Gameplay is fun, however the constant bombardment of propaganda and the attempt of mental manipulation to strengthen the believes of misinformation regarding WW2 and the Holocaust among other things, seriously overrides the fun factor. The first game is great! No propaganda in the first game, excluding the DLC.

    And it feels like every real rating, is pushed away from the press with the comment, oh they didn't like the LGBT content, they didn't like it politacally... F*** no, I dont care about this. The amount of choices you have to kill enemy groups are definitely not limited but again is not enough to entertain you for so long. The lack of puzzles is really daunting, other than doing the decent stealth, all you do is walk around this beautiful world and spam triangle mindlessly to loot stuff, that's it. There is no puzzles to enhanced the game's repetition and the combat from the first 4 hours till the last 2 hours is almost unrecognizable other than the new guns that does not change the gameplay loop at all. If this game was a tight 16-18 hour long game I would excuse a lot of these issues but it is not, the game felt repetitive and a straight up drag to play.
    The only problem I have with the story is that instead of making the story entirely around the characters, they made he story entirely around the message it was trying to tell. You can find characters doing borderline out of character or even stupid things just for the sake of the plot and the message is pretty elementary level.
    Other than that, still a pretty good game and I recommend it on sale    … Expand

    J'ai du attendre plusieurs semaine avant de pouvoir donner mon avis tant ce jeux m'a marqué.. Honnêtement et je pèse mes mots, c'est la meilleurs expérience vidéoludique de ma vie !
    Une suite parfaite !!! Jamais un jeux m'as autant fais réagir manette en mains.. Je suis passer par toute les émotion.. J'ai était bouleversé.. ébahi.. Trahie.. Révolté.. Émerveillé.. J'en passe..
    Il dépasse le 1er opus sur tout les points, les graphisme son incroyablement détaillé !
    Le scénario est une puissance incroyable !
    Il m'a fais remettre en question sur mes propre principes.. On ce rend compte à quelle point certain sentiments peut nous amener à faire des choix lourd de conséquence..
    La bande son est toujours aussi magistral.
    J'ai pus découvrir un personnage qui au début, était pour moi insupportable du a ces actes.. Et puis avec le temps.. On fini par la comprendre et fini par l'apprécier..
    Ce jeux m'aura donc laisser des trace indélébile.. Une fois fini je suis rester plusieurs minutes devant ma télé.. Toujours pas remis du chef d'œuvre que je venait de finir. Après avoir fini The Last Of Us premier du non on ne pouvait ce douté des conséquence du choix de Joëlle qui seront terrible.
    Ellie est transformé.. Je me demande bien l'avenir qu'elle pourra avoir après avoir vécu cela.. j'espère avoir un troisième opus pour conclure ce chef-d'œuvre qu'est The Last of Us!

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
