    Poor story, trying too hard to separated it from the last of us 1, telling a cheap revenge story and ended up horrible in so many ways. Too much pushed political correct elements in game which makes people disgusted. Neil Druckmen is the one who is responsible for this mess! It is a shame that others people on the team worked so hard to deliver such good gameplay and visuals.

    The second part of the game with Abby was absolutely infuriating. Why did you even bother to make this trash of a game? To hell with your SJW crap, I'll stick with better games like JRPGs. É com profundo pesar que preciso dar essa nota a continuação do meu jogo favorito, os motivos são vários, começando pela forma como o Joel foi morto, por todo o desenvolvimento do personagem no primeiro jogo é inimaginável que o Joel seja tão inocente a ponto de confiar em uma estranha dado todo tipo de gente que ele encontrou pelo caminho durante a sua jornada, não é plausível argumentar que ele tava com a guarda baixa porque ele passou a viver em comunidade, ele já viveu em comunidade no jogo anterior. Segundo ponto, por mais que se tente humanizar a Abby, ela continua sendo hipócrita porque sabia que uma garota iria morrer e seu pai estava em conformidade com isso apesar de ser igualmente hipócrita, pois se fosse a Abby no lugar da Ellie ele não iria adiante, ou seja, só devemos fazer tudo pela ciência quando a filha é dos outros, o que denota o egoísmo escancarado do pai da Abby, que além de tudo levou a Ellie ao seu leito de morte sem o conhecimento dela, então não se pode culpar o Joel por ser reciprocamente egoísta, e por fim temos o fato da Ellie não concluir sua vingança por motivos que sinceramente até agora não consegui entender. Sobre o relacionamento da Ellie com a Dina prefiro não me aprofundar, mas sempre fui crítico de relacionamentos românticos de qualquer natureza em situações de tensão/urgência, ainda mais sob o ponto de vista casual que encontramos aqui, soa irreal pessoas que passaram por situações extremamente difíceis e danosas a saúde mental agirem como se nada tivesse acontecido, sendo que a situação origem do problema, no caso a infecção, sequer foi resolvida. Uma verdadeira pena que a mídia provavelmente não jogou o jogo ou não encarou a história coma seriedade que deveria, pois definitivamente TLOU2 pode ser considerado um bom jogo.… Expand

    Bought game, played for 2 hours, watched the rest of the game on youtube in hope that somehow they will cleanup this mess from the beginning.

    It's such huge dissapointment and disaster. The story feels unnatural as same way as the last season of Game of Thrones. Why ? Why didn't you publish it with different title.

    There is zero creditability now for Naughty Dog.

You want to make Joel do something so blatantly out of character to get killed, fine, but at least have SOME kind of payoff for it. And the sex scene? GROSS. This developer literally called Halo "sexualized" because of Cortana's (a blue computer lasy) figure, then they digitally reduced the breast size of their diverse female cast because somehow that is too much, but then they have a SEX SCENE.     Remember in RDR2 how Chapter 6 ends? Arthur, weakened by his tuberculosis is beaten to death by Micah as the gang falls apart by Micah's doing. Very sad, and you want nothing more than to kill Micah as revenge. Imagine then that the epilogue starts up, and it looks like it might deliver on that. Then, ha ha F you, the epilogue is actually you playing as Micah, going back to Micah childhood, trying to get you to like Micah, then in the Ending you switch back to John, just to let Micah go without killing him. I'll name two; Joel goes from not trusting anyone in LOU1 to open arms and trusting a random girl named Abby to go visit her friends... yeah right. Another is that in the first game, Joel killed nearly every firefly in that hospital, somehow the leftover few soldiers just knew the man that killed everyone was Joel and told everyone? Cut me some slack.

    The story could've been way better if they went with something like Abby's group took over Joel's safe area, killed nearly everyone but Joel, his brother and Ellie. Joel's brothers wife or whatever got killed and that's the revenge to take back what is yours and seek revenge for killing all your friends... Something like TWD, Negan vs Rick's team.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all if you seriously have a problem with the LGBTQ+ content of this game or think you are oppressed to believe in a special agenda I recommend psychotherapy for you or dating a girl – oh wait, you might be too ugly for that.

    Now to the actual game: Graphics are breathtaking. I personally liked the overall mechanics – still many didn't.

    Still, the story is a boring "Kill Bill" copy and not even executed well. The first 15h of the game feel like a tutorial being too long. Playing Ally first feels just wrong but after some time her relationship to Lev is one of the few good points were similar emotions come up to the time when Joel and Ellie started to connect. But that's about all actually.
    The characters are flat, not very funny (I especially liked the way Ellie was a "big mouth" in the first part – all gone now) and have changed significantly – especially Ellie. There are only traces of the "old Ellie" of pt. 1 in her character left.

    It's a shame to see where the story has come. A bad story would have made an average game. The game is below average because it's first 13 h could be shrunk down to 3 – that would have been more fun than this torture we've been asked to play. Sad.    … Expand

    This game is an insult to fans of the original, while not improving, and sometimes removing the things that made the original so great.
    Pretty graphics alone do not make a good game. This is not a worthy sequel to Bruce Straley's work.

And for FALSE ADVERTISING and blatantly abusing the copyright system to cover their tracks. Total bait and switch. This feels like a personal attack on everyone who loved the 1st game. A game made terrible human beings, not to mention slave labor harvested. Leaks 100% true.

    I got so depressed after watching the scene where Joel get murdered by the equivalent of a **** goomba I had to stop playing for 3 hrs. It's SO BAD. It's not even on the same level as TLOU storywise. It's not so much the fact he died, it's HOW AND WHY. Senseless. What a waste of a character.

    Both RDR games showed us how to properly kill off a main protagonist, and those deaths are poignant, meaningful, and actually done WELL. This was disrespectful to Joel's character and the fans as far as I'm concerned.

    I can understand killing off your protagonist if it's done in service of the story, but I can't condone this in the manner in which it happened was just plain distasteful. This was clearly done on purpose for shock value to hurt the fans, nothing more. There's nothing deep or profound about **** like this. Do they think this portrayal makes women, gays or any of the people they're trying to pander to look good? Size of the ocean, depth of a puddle.

    This game is pure hatred towards fans who enjoyed TLOU. It feels VERY personal and I'm disgusted with ND atm. WHAT IS THIS? WHO IS THIS FOR?! I HATE this game. This is just a bunch of toxic hate mongering bull**** by so-called "oppressed" social justice weirdos.

    TLOU was so sacred, so special. I'll just have to ignore it and pretend this ****ty sequel doesn't exist since the original was a perfect self-contained story. As a FORMER ND fan for over a decade, I feel betrayed.    … Expand

    Controversy aside, this game brings a weak story, weak gameplay, and just-OK visuals (in comparison to other AAA games over the past two years) to the table.
    Save your money, honestly. It's a disappointing game.

Good for her, but most of us knew this from the first game, it was an amazing revelation back then and the subtly leading up to it really made it an amazing moment. However when it came to last of us 2 itThe story is a giant middle finger to anyone who played the original game. Good for her, but most of us knew this from the first game, it was an amazing revelation back then and the subtly leading up to it really made it an amazing moment. However when it came to last of us 2 it added nothing new for this game outside creating a controversy. The game spends the first two hour reminding how Ellie likes other girls and shows us a ton of intimate moments that adds nothing to the story or Ellie as a character outside of things we knew from 7 years ago.

    Then came the biggest middle finger when Joe, the main character of the first game, gets unceremoniously killed off and turned the game which was known for its story and it’s character development into a revenge story and Joe being relegated to your generic parent who kept secret from his kid and eventually die as a result of the secret. It was the character development between Joe and Ellie that made the first game’s story so interesting yet the game completely throws it away to tell a generic revenge story. Hope those woke points you got to guarantee a good review from critic is worth it because the improved graphic is the only other thing this game has to offer.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
