Always try to go into something new with an open mind and make your opinion. Great gameplay and another look at the harsh realities of a post apocalyptic world with more heart wrenching moments.

    I just want to say, it's a good thing most user reviews don't matter. This game was amazing. Haven't beaten it yet, but that's because I had to reluctantly pull myself away to go to bed as I have to get up a decent time. Either way, not much can get me hooked these days but I had a hard time putting the game down.

    First things first, the story isn’t as bad as the leaks make it out to be. There is a death that is handled somewhat undeserved but that is the only thing story wise that drops this score. The gameplay is very satisfying and melee combat is very gratifying, however brutally realistic to a degree that hasn’t been seen before. Much more smooth and terrifying than the first game. The gameplay is very satisfying and melee combat is very gratifying, however brutally realistic to a degree that hasn’t been seen before. Much more smooth and terrifying than the first game. Halfway through this game my actions that felt justified were questioned as I experienced something quite different from the usual formula, but suits this games messaging. And this is a very graphically advanced game, with believable animation. The exploration was actually interesting and rewarding for those who like to search for extra items and stories. There was a point, however, where the story changes drastically and my work felt like it’s reward was delayed. The supposed LGBT agenda is not pushed whatsoever and only mentioned briefly.

    Overall, the leaks don’t truly show this game’s masterfully crafted world and is definitely worth the time to play. A must buy.    … Expand

    Part 2 is fantastic. The gameplay is polished from Part 1 making environments and enemy altercations feel horrifying and thrilling. I found myself checking everywhere, reading every note, and taking in the beauty of the this overgrown deadly world Naughty Dog has painstakingly put countless hours of effort into. The story is emotional, loving, hating, revenge, desperation... Words cannotPart 2 is fantastic.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. when a game lost its main element, it is just a trash. as the most ambitious game from NaughtyDog, it should tell a good story and all the gameplay / graphics are like the multipliers to the main score. so if the main score is 0, no matter how high is the multiplier, it's just 0, that's how I justified my score.

    this bad story can be easily written by any third grade student, all the beloved characters from part 1 are just tools to help pushing the story to the next plot, and the whole theme is not interesting at all. at the end, all the characters had no development through out the whole game.

    if forgiveness can happened in a sudden flash of memory, rampage can be triggered easily as well. it is totally possible that Ellie will find Abby again after finding that Dina left her, because there is no closure after all.

    In terms of technical implementation the game is PERFECT. My deeperst respect to every Naughty Dog employee for all their hard work and such an unbelievable result. I spent 40+ hours in the game and I could not shake the feeling that every character, every cut scene, every discussion is nothing but a big piece of manipulaitve    LGBT propaganda wrapped in a AAA level cover.

    Graphics: Beautiful game, art team created a visually impressive world.

    Story: Violence and loss all the way through, then finishes with a 180 and numb conclusion.

    Verdict: 3/10 Mostly a Tedious emotional slog

    I am totally disappointed, they disrespected one of the characters most loved by me and the fans. HE WAS THE SOUL of this franchise. The gameplay is good, but the story is terribly poorly executed. I feel ripped off and like I've been slapped in the face. Sorry but I would call it one of the disappointments of the year.

I’ve had time to think about #TheLastofUsPartIl and I had seen a few spoilers before jumping into it and while it saddens me to have seen them I wasn’t gonna let it bother me From a visual standpoint this game was nothing story of one of the best games I’ve ever seen, The music might be only 2nd to Red Dead Redemption 2. The music was absolutely incredible and really knew how to hit the mood. From a character standpoint Joel and Ellie were.. well, Joel and Ellie. Dina was a very well put together character and it was a trip watching,
    Tommy go more and more mad as the story went on. Especially near the end, Jesse was a great new character was well to see. There are too many other characters to talk about in a review so I’ll just say. Some of them were hits and some were misses #TheLastofUsPart2 

    Now Onto the story itself... Is the story better then the first game... no... But that’s OK, because overall the story was while flawed at some points. A very enjoyable story for me. I think playing as Abby went a little too long but that’s OK.

    Seeing Ellie develop as a character throughout the second game as well as in the ending, realizing that no matter what she did wouldn’t change what happened or make her a better person showed true character development for her.

    My final thoughts. I really want to give this game a 10/10 But as of this moment I just can’t, maybe after a second Playthru and sitting down on it I can. But the graphics, sound and character were all great and the story was while flawed a good experience Overall. 9.5/10. Since 9.5 is closer to 10 than it is to 9. I’ll give it a 10    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU was never known for its gameplay mechanism. The first one had mediocre gameplay, with some interesting additions to it, like the interesting details when you attack from a different elevation than your opponent.
    So coming into this game, I never expected anything as far as gameplay was concerned. And my expectations were met as the gameplay is quite monotonous with a far disparity with the story. The jump button, much hyped, if removed changes literally nothing from the game. The feel of Ellie is a positive though, as she feels more nimble than Joel. Seattle looks stunning as hell.
    But the game doesn't deserve a single star due to it blatant disrespect towards the legacy of the first game, a story telling masterpiece that was. This game's storyline is a trainwreck from the get go. Even if we ignore the overwhelming bad story, the plot holes, unreal character decisions and negligible character developments really nail the coffin for this one.
    Ellie is unrelatable and unnecessarily violent, Joel is stupider than Neil Druckmann's lady love, and Abby....oh Abby, where do I even begin with this one. The game tries so hard to justify her actions and yet fails to develop her character beyond the, "I have suffered too".
    And clickers, they do not matter anymore. In a post apocalyptic game with a world that was formed due to the existence of them zombies, they offer nothing to the gameplay, or the story.
    25 hours of gameplay, 30 with exploring, and the game never develops, neither with the story, nor with the gameplay...it is unbelievable that this is the studio responsible for the Uncharted series and the first TLOU. But then again, those were not Neil Druckmann's shows.
    This game is the embodiment of everything wrong with the entertainment industry as of now, and should not be supported, lest we want this industry struck down into the groumd.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was up there as one of my most anticipated games but has ended up being totally disappointing. Although the graphics are visually stunning, the game itself has been a massive let down due to a number of factors. The biggest factor is simply the awful story, it is riddled with plot holes, ridiculous decision making that is totally unbelievable by the characters and returning characters personalities being butchered to the point where they are almost polar opposites to how the were in the previous game. The game has no one that you can root for, everything has been made to be utterly bleak and seems pointless which when partnered with the long l of the game left me bored and uninterested, without the motivation to carry on. The gameplay also lacked many significant improvements from the first game too. Jumping and crawling were pushed as the new game changing mechanics that would completely change how the game would play and how you would interact with the world yet to found myself rarely ever using them. The enemies AI was also terrible, half the time you could walk straight past them and skip portions of the game as they would not react if you were right in front of them. This made it seem pointless wasting time with fights which left me even more bored with the game, as I had no incentive to keep trying to find new ways to tackle situations to get the enemies, when I could simply run past them and leave the area without spending too much time. Most disappointing of all was the first being, spending the entire game selling revenge to have your easiest opportunity thrown away to try give off the reasoning of revenge being bad was like a slap in the face. Wasting all that time to get there for nothing, although Abby gets away having successfully gotten away with killing Joel and succeeding with her revenge arc. It links in to the character choices being totally ridiculous as well, Joel was a shoot first kind of person who always assumed others were out to get him so seeing a brief flashback of him playing a guitar would not sway Ellie as she knew what he was like. The game although nice to look at, was horrible to play and will go down as one of my biggest gaming disappointments… Expand

I have never experienced anything quite like it in gaming, I thought the story perfectly fitted the brutal world of The Last of Us, it's devastating, emotionally bruising and, of course will divide opinions but ultimately feels true.

    The gameplay & combat mechanics are immersive, fluid &    I've now finished two play throughs of this game and in my opinion it is simply a masterpiece. I have never experienced anything quite like it in gaming, I thought the story perfectly fitted the brutal world of The Last of Us, it's devastating, emotionally bruising and, of course will divide opinions but ultimately feels true.

    The gameplay & combat mechanics are immersive, fluid & despite the bloody violence, exciting & dare I say it, fun to play. Amazing level design makes you feel part of the world & there is something to love in every character. No one is good or evil here, but every character has believable motivations and I was fully invested throughout.

And this one is all about **** Joel’s death is not an acceptable way for anyone. Yes, in reality our heroes sometimes dead is certain unexpected ways but you don’t need bring this to here. This is a game about humanity and redemption, this is a game to warm people’s heart! The only purpose you make this happen is earning more tears and signs. Make you Naughty Dog thought you know how to make good games, maybe you were but you are not now. You just destroyed the best character in gaming history. Abby killed Joel, damaged Tommy and ruined everything Ellie has. And for god sake Ellie forgive her at the end? So why she went to Santa Barbara? Did she go there for help?     Gameplay is great, it's a smoother more dynamic version of the first game which was lauded as basically a perfect game. The story and writing are amazing. Are you happy watching events unfold? No, it's a zombie apocalypse it's not going to be a happy ending for anyone. But are the characters nuanced and compelling? Absolutely. Play this game and then judge it

Its the fact that The Last of Us made us form a bond and a connection with Joel and Ellie, and we see them become bad ass hunters and survivors always ready for a fight. In the last of us part 2 , Naughty dog seem to rewrite Joel to just become a clueless dumb-ass which is not the Joel we know and love.     1) the game is incomplete as it lacks the mp component which made the first game great
    a newer product should never have less features than the first product.
    2) the game is pretty, but the story is horrible and hamfisted.

    this game deserves all the fan backlash it is getting and hopefully it taints the studio and the creatives behind in as to never develop anything again.

ALMOST every story beat is either a flip or a direct continuation of the certain dialogues from the first game. For example: in the first hour of the first game, Joel loses his daughter and in this game Ellie loses her "father". Even the ending upon reflection is a direct response to Ellies conversation to Sam when she says Shes afraid of ending up alone. I really enjoyed the The Last of Us Part 2, the game really makes an effort to have you understand the choices that were made and fleshes out certain details to give you more insight to the world naughty dog has created. The characters were some one of the highlights for me! I also appreciate the fact that the characters Though I didn’t agree with every story beat, I was able to enjoy almost the thing in its entirety.… Expand

Не подумайте я не имею ничего против таких персонажей когда они уместны, интересны и хорошо прописаны. Элли из симпатичной остроумной девчонки стала брюзжащей глупой и всем недовольной хабалкой. Реализм тоже пошел прогуляться... Когда девочки по 40кг таскают мужиков по 80-90кг (примерно на глаз) как пушинок удерживая толком одной рукой. Они убили Джоэла одного из главных героев от чьего лица велось повествование и собственно которому мы сопереживаем и испытываем иные чувства и заменили на абсолютно деревянного персонажа в лице девушки чьё имя я не запомнил даже после прохождения. . И я бы понял если это превратили во что то интересное. Но использовать потенциал заведомо любимого персонажа на то что бы сделать говёненькую завязочку... Мда) Вся игра выглядит как будто натянули Сову на глобус. Кроме графики, она отличная но ставлю 0 ибо нужно думать о игровом комьюнити а не ЛГБТ и прочих сообществах игры покупают геймеры а геймеры а их вся эта суматоха не должна касаться.     I remember when Days Gone launched and there was a similar **** show with youtubers hating on the game but the game being actually good.

    As I take it, this game tells a story inside a devastated world which I do think it's really nicely told, I enjoyed every moment. I do aknowledge the flaws but this will not make me give this game a score of 1, 2, 3 or 4... Doesn't make any sense. I do believe that at the moment there's a mob mentality ongoing and people's opinions are influenced by this.

    Once again, I'm not saying it's a master piece but it's a solid 9 / 10 without a doubt.. Just so it's understood, the only game (For me) that I think it's a master piece, it's the Witcher 3    … Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
