    I love this game so much. Someday people will realize that only a heterosexual relationship does not have to be behind a good script. This game showed me the bitterness of loss, and how feelings can prevail over you, both on the good side and, unfortunately, on the bad side.

    A very brutal game.Even though the game is so dark there are a lot of emotional moments in games. Compare to the previous game The Last of Us 2 Graphics are way more better. The Game play is amazing. It is a masterpiece.

    Don't listen to the crap scores. They just have some pathetic grudge against Naughty Dog for some reason. Having played the first one, this is a perfect sequel. The story makes sense, it doesn't drag. Its fast-paced, gives you adrenaline, keeps you on edge. The graphics are amazing, scarily amazing. Not one point do you think you are watching NPCS.     This game getting review bombed is the reason why its good that professional game journalists exist. Play it and make your own opinion before hating it. Maybe the game isn't for you and you dislike the story. That's fine. But respect that people have different opinions. I am a huge fan of the first game and I still think that The Last of Us Part II is one of the best games ever made.

    Recien terminado el juego solo me queda decir que es un Juegazoo. Lleno de emociones, corte cinematografico, un mundo espectacular y graficos excelentes. No le pongo un 10 porque a veces (muy muy pocas eso si) el control no responde bien y ademas creo que el guion tiene partes bien absurdas. Pero overall. Le pongo un 9.8. Y con un final que te deja mal

    The Gameplay is perfect, way better than the first one, the graphics are the best i've seen in a game. The story is great too, not as good as the first one but overall its a good experience, another masterpiece made by naughty dog!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. here's my opinion on why I think The Last of Us Part 2 is a magnificent game, but bitter. I don't think it is necessary to talk about how exquisite the technical question of the game is, so I will skip this part. In terms of history: yes, I found the story very well written and brings you a very strong moral reflection at the end. The Last of Us Part 2 is a game about revenge, but most of all, it's a game about, I believe, maturing and being able to "move on". I agree that the only ball out of the story was Joel's lack of character in accepting to follow Abby, in addition to the cowardly death he had; but we cannot deny that something like this is, unfortunately, plausible in a post-apocalyptic world like that of TLOU. Looking at it more coldly, I think Ellie's journey was just like Abby's journey, the only difference being that Abby and her group measured casualties (killed less) compared to Ellie (note that I'm not "wiping" for the cowardly way they lured Tommy and Joel there and the torture they subjected Joel to). Ellie was frustrated to lose her father in such a brutal and traumatic way, she saw everything without being able to do anything, helpless; and this is enhanced by the fact that she is fighting with Joel over the "bidding" with the fireflies, and she loses him so suddenly without being able to say goodbye it was heartbreaking. I must also point out that Ellie's development (or deterioration of her humanity) is simply magnificent! The pre-torture scene of Nora, the failed attempt to get information from Mel and Owie (I don't remember his name, mb) and shortly after discovering that he killed an innocent life as a result (the fetus); all of which shows how misrepresented Ellie's psychological was, how empty the feeling of revenge is. Jumping straight to that controversial ending for many, I found it bitter, too bitter. I cried horribly with the flashbacks and the final sequence of Ellie's fight with Abby, it was all very hard. The fact that Ellie didn’t kill Abby shows that she matured, because, just as Abby did to her by killing Joel, Joel also took someone very important to her (besides Ellie had taken her two friends and Tommy plus another, and yet he forgave him). Ellie saw that it wasn't worth it, she didn't forgive it, I believe, but she saw that it wouldn't bring Joel back, it wouldn't bring his glory days he had years ago, it wouldn't bring him his innocence anymore. In short, this is why I find the story and the outcome of it exceptional

    Joel is not a hero, nor is he a villain, he is a guy who does what it takes to survive. It's been years in this apocalypse, even the best of people, in this same situation, would have to take actions that were previously unthinkable or die quickly. As for the fact that the woman is strong and cuddly, it is more than expected that it is, after all, it is a **** apocalypse that has lasted for years. In this situation, both brute force and intelligence are essential to keep you alive. Thus, the surviving mass would be people prepared to fight and kill. People with low physical fitness and who were slow to realize that it is killing or dying would be the first to be victimized. These types of people only survive on television series.

    The most intens gaming experience I have ever had. It literally had me shaking at some points. And that is what I am sure ND was aiming for. The tension was palpable and relentless. Amazing achievement in the way we tell stories. It's biggest strength is that it makes you forget that you are playing a videogame. And that, in the end, is the biggest compliment I can pay.

    Nothing the game was trying to do with its story went over our heads. The early death of Joel was meant to give the player a sense of loss similar to what Joel experienced in the beginning of the first game. The dual narratives were meant to challenge the player’s attachment to hero figures. (Although they had to heavily retcon the doctor in the first game to make Abby sympathetic.) Abby and Lev are parallel to Joel and Ellie. Abby and Owen sympathizing with an opposing faction is parallel to the player sympathizing with Abby. The game makes us fight Abby at her weakest and most harmless to challenge our concept of revenge. Ellie ends up living out her greatest fear of being alone as a punishment for seeking revenge.

    Seriously, we get it. It’s really not that deep, and it's silly to pretend that it is so you can conveniently accuse disappointed fans of not "understanding" it. If the writing in this game is so brilliant, why was retconning even necessary? Why was the doctor suddenly a noble hero in a squeaky clean surgery room and why did they canonize the specific player choice of Joel stabbing him in the neck when many players, including myself, shot him in the leg? This was a clear attempt to make Joel err more on the side of evil to get the player to sympathize with Abby. The ending of the game went from a fascinating moral ambiguity to "Joel definitely bad" because the writers, who are supposedly too sophisticated for us to comprehend, couldn't think of any other way to make Abby sympathetic. In addition to disregarding what made the TLOU's ending interesting, TLOU2 reduces Ellie's immunity from a major plot point to a simple character trait, and throws away Joel and Ellie's relationship, which was what gave the first game its appeal to begin with. Joel's death and the absence of his dynamic with Ellie creates a void that the game then tries to fill with characters we have no reason to care about, and this emptiness made me feel as though I was playing strictly for game completion.

    What's sad is that the first game already left a perfect foundation for a sequel. The rising tensions between Joel and Ellie and the hanging question of what to do about Ellie’s immunity would have made a far more compelling story and climax. There would have been just as much potential for plot twists and subverting expectations as Part 2's story. Instead, these things were reduced to brief flashbacks in favor of a forced, retcon-fueled revenge tale does the bare minimum to connect itself to the TLOU universe. But apparently I’m an entitled gamer for expecting a sequel to be a sequel and not a complete tangent.

    The game is a strong 6 for me at best. Graphics, animations, gameplay, and level design are well done. I could understand people giving it a 7 or an 8. Hell, I can even understand going higher if it was rewritten as a new IP with new characters. But there is no way in absolute hell that this game is a 10/10 AS A SEQUEL by any standard.    … Expand

This game goes beyond anything I've ever played to deliver a beautiful, BRUTAL, immensely emotional experience that grips you tightly and doesn't let you go until the credits start rolling. Being a HUGE TLOU fan, I knew that ND would deliver, and they did that...and so much more. I felt uncomfortable, i felt sad, i was angry, i was heartbroken, it made me more emotional than anything ever has, and I'm still recovering. The game was genius, and Ashley's acting as Ellie is top-notch, and really grabs at your heartstrings, or makes you shiver in fear( whatever her mood at that moment)The story is truly amazing, and complex, and it makes you think...A person can be a Hero to someone- but be a Villain to someone else. I love that the game touched on that- especially with the addition of the trading cards to push that notion. I'm saddened to find out that a lot of TLOU fans aren't able to really look at the bigger meaning of the plot, or understand the immaculate storytelling this game has to offer. I thought they'd be more complex than that. But a game that pushes the envelope like this one does is bound to upset a lot of dense people. It comes with the territory. É compreensível todo o Hate que a obra está sofrendo. Mas não há problemas, isso sempre acontece com tudo que está a frente do seu tempo. Excelente!

    The game was all about joel and ellie interaction and we get joel killed at the beginning, which could happen in an apocalypse and after all the enemies he managed to get. But making us half the game play as a character which is hated by the vast majority of players who played tlou part 1, is just nonsense. There were a lot of decisions that could have been much better, this is a game that makes you feel out of character and like you don't even care anymore about what is going to happen in many parts of the game, and that, in a game that got most of its praise because of its amazing story, makes me think that this game was poorly written and badly executed.    … Expand

    Every one knows that is this game a gorgeous. You actually need to play that, and if you don’t even cry on a firs 3 hours you’re not a human. Of course you need to play first part before that. I 100% sure you like this game, do not watch reviews or read negative reviews from PC “gays” they can’t understood and and feel this story

    По поводу сюжета у меня нет ни одного замечания: Нил Дракманн осуществил именно то, о чем говорил в своих интервью, а именно о круговороте насилия, о его разрушительной силе. Несомненно, эта игра разительно отличается сюжетно от всеми нами любимой первой части, но ведь нельзя стоять на месте и паразитировать на истории Джоэла и Элли, необходимо ее продолжать.
    По поводу геймплея: для меня он шикарен.
    Надеюсь, что моя рецензия оказала на Вас хоть какое-то влияние и стала полезной. Я восхищен творением NaughtyDog, ведь несмотря на все трудности они сделали ее именно такой, какой и планировали: жестокой и в некотором роде отвратительной.     Just finished it. Loved it. Beautiful graphics and animation, fun gameplay, Ellie is a badass and I love playing as her. There is a point about 13 hours ish in that something happens and it last to long in my opinion. The whole game could have been cut down by about 6 hours probably and been a little more focused m. Overall I love it and I hope they do some DLC or a 3ed game

    Excellent and mature game. You have to get out of the bubble to fully understand this game. Perfect graphics, sound effects and music. Great work from the mixing team. A great story that presents several layers of depths, rarely seen in the world of games.

The reason why I finally decided to play this game is because I wanted to like it.
    The story of The Last of Us Part II is... misunderstood; it really isn't just "another generic revenge story", it's a multi-dimensional story about empathy, obsession, acceptance and forgiveness.
    If I had to describe the story of The Last of Us Part II in three words, it would be shocking, bold and powerful.
    The characters feel like real people instead of fictional characters, and that's impressive.
    The gameplay is awesome; everything works perfectly, especially the stealth mechanics.
    The music is amazing and it feels like it's a part of the narrative.
    The visuals, the audio design, the animations, the environments and the atmosphere are the best I've seen in any videogame.
    Also, the details and the accessibility options are astonishing to say the least.
    Unfortunately, the pacing of the story feels slightly dragged out at times, which is my only complaint about the game.
    So, why is The Last of Us Part II so controversial then? Well, to be honest... I don't know.
    The Last of Us Part II is a very faithful sequel that makes the first game even more meaningful and complete than it already was.

    A technical masterpiece. The attention to detail is insane. Of course with any game with this much hype, there will be a counter hate campaign. From people waiting to give it 0 stars 2 minutes after release, to people sending strangers spoilers. It's fascinating what people choose to do with their time.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The gameplay is good but it does get a little stale near the end, and there isn't much evolution to Naughty Dog's DNA. They are playing it safe when it comes to their palette in "fun factor". I would have loved to have seen more interactions with monsters and an independent day and night cycle. A good multiplayer will make the replaybility go up.

    Storywise, i think they are trying new things to expand from what you would expect from their usual linear storytelling techniques you'll see in the uncharted and last of us series. But I think for a story with parallels between characters maybe they should have stuck with one plot instead of adding two. Abby's part ruined the momentum, it felt like a filler, took away from Ellie's progression, and made the end feel mute, but Lev's introduction is great so take the good with the bad.

    Still it was an interesting experience, and the game deserves to be played. Not a lot of games reach this level of production, but it's not a masterpiece.    … Expand

I have rarely fired any bullets as I've stealth killed my way, aside from a few bits that pretty much require you to fire some rounds. The story is harsh, but right now I think I'm going forward motivated by the same feelings Ellie has, which I thinks says a lot about howTook me a while because of some projects. Second, I have played the game from beginning to end. I have been gaming since I had been given a hand me down Atari which was around the early 80s I believe. With that being said, on to my personal review of this game. The graphics were impressive. I loved the environment and the lighting that was used through out. It gave a very "dirty" look in certain terrains and textures. The sound was very good. Playing with headphones really makes every sound seem like it's right next to you. Now on to the plot or story of the game, simply put, I thought it was stupid. I mean, how do you let someone who killed a person that was like a father figure to you go at the end on the basis of "There has been enough killing"? Seriously??? Didnt we just spend over 30 hours sneak killing some people and some dogs just to progress? Oh but we are meant to believe that right when you have the person (Abby) at your mercy and are about ready to Fallout some justified vengeance, you have an epiphany and let her go. If Naughty Dog only spent more time on the story board than pandering to woke agenda my personal review would be higher. And yes I would have scored this a little higher but I admit that Neil Druckmann's online behavior and lack of acceptance of criticism may have influenced my scoring in this game. That and the fact that most places (gamestop) are not accepting returns as of this time. If you ate curious about this game, borrow it from a friend. Dont waste your money on this. It's really not worth it. Or wait for it to be on sale like 19.99 or lower.… Expand

Да, я только начал проходить игру,видно что разработчики вложили душу в игру, единственный минус в том, что местами заметна пропоганда лгбт сообщества, но так игра хорошая, нати дог попытались очеловечить персонажей, у всех нпс есть имена, у всех собак есть клички, когда убиваешь пса или нпс они выкрикивают имена друг друга, на метакритик оценка 3.3 но это потому то тупые школьники без пс4 негодуют почему её нет на "божественным " пк.
