    Personally, I think this game ticks all the boxes. The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are the best in this generation, and the story is jam-packed with emotion. 10/10 from me.

    A unique, engaging story for a mature audience. An atmospheric world, refined film dialogues. animations at a very high level. amazing sound and ambient. pleasant control. Refined in every way. the only drawback that comes to mind is the strange steering of the boat and the slightly out-of-the-box episode on the island of Scars.

    For the actual review, this is one of the best games i have ever played, along with its predecessor. The studio behind this series doesn't disappoint as this one is just as majestic as the original and a true sequel to the first game. The brilliant story telling, beautiful visuals and enhanced gameplay dynamics which allow for more exploration and a more open world feel during battles is very enjoyable. The brilliant performance from the actors playing the characters that is displayed in the cut scenes brings each character to life. I felt a mix of emotions going through the different character arcs, such an experience i have never felt in any other game as it is a roller coaster ride. The story follows up from the previous plot but also revisits some scenarios from the previous game to explain what happened in between which explains the story perfectly and this answered all my lingering questions after i finished the first game.

    The world of LOU is visually beautiful and you can see the amount of effort that went into the game. The story kept me on the edge of the seat all the time. The game also explores various social/political issues and introduces a good mix of diversity which blends in with the story perfectly. It also does a great job at depicting how society crumbles in a post apocalyptic scenario and how war between different factions/races with differing values leads to unnecessary series of killing and violence.

    I want to revisit and finish this game at least a couple more times as it is so entertaining.

    With rdr2 best game of this generation. Mature, brutal and consistent story, jawdropping graphics and animation. It's not ideal but no game is (pace sometimes could be better, some characters motives are debatable) but still it's far above typical aaa game. Masterpiece.

    When I finished the game I wasn't sure how I felt, I didn't agree with a lot about the story and it didn't go the way I wanted. I felt like something had happened to me in real life, bothering me.     One of the best games ever made, a roller coaster of feelings and technically flawless! Haters gonna hate, 99% of them not even played, most of the players who played it, loved it! A real masterpiece, for me this is the second best game i've played in my life, just getting behind Red Dead Redemption 2...

I was connected to Joel from The Last of Us Part 1 and I in many ways agreed with everything he did. Questionable and unquestionable. When the game subverted my expectations and had me thinking that Joel would be okay, I was hit like a truck when he wasn’t. I love this game.     Отличная игра, определённо игра года в плане сюжета, проработки мира и геймплея! Многих фанатов первой части расстроит сюжет или повестка но те кто ценит искусство поймут замысел сценариста и оценят его на высший бал.
    P.S. Люблю первую часть, считаю ее лучшей игрой прошлого десятилетия и это не помешало мне оценить вторую часть так как она этого заслуживает.     This game is a triumph in production, emotion, and character development.
    The story is not "by-the-book" and will leave you wondering, guessing, and thinking for hours after each time you play and Indefinitely after you finish.

    i was very sceptical of the direction they were pushing this sequel in. However once again naughty dog have pulled off the impossible and made their most emotionally engaging, and technically impressive and biggest game to date. A lot of people came onto here to express how they hate all the "left wing propaganda" but honestly grow up and review the game for what it is. The gameplay is enhanced significantly with many things that felt missing from the first game like the ability to go prone and have more jumping sections. This game has many deep themes with i'm not sure most players have picked up on. I see a lot of people say that the story makes absolutely no sense and that they don't understand why Ellie would not kill Abby in the ending, These people OBVIOUSLY didn't play and finish the game because it was quite obvious as to why she did what she did. The WHOLE GAME was building to that point. The message is that everyone is the same and everyone has different experiences. There is no justice in the apocalypse. There is no right and wrong. That one is especially important as that is what Ellie has to come to terms with and learn throughout the 30 hour experience. She comes to understand that Ellie and Abby are the same, both attempting to get justice and revenge in an unfeeling, cruel world where neither exist. Alongside the story of Ellie coming to forgive Abby, she comes to forgive Joel. Throughout the game she has flashbacks to her time with Joel, the good and the bad. And she comes to understand why he did what he did. At the same time she is trying to understand what kind of person could do that to Joel and as she finally comes to terms with Joel's decision she realises that she is the exact same as Abby. She understands that killing Abby will no longer achieve anything because what she really wanted was not revenge, but acceptance. Since Ellie has finally accepted her past with Joel and what her life means, she knows that killing Abby will only continue the cycle of revenge and death and not achieve anything. THE WHOLE GAME HAS BEEN BUILDING TO THIS POINT OF SEEING ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE. The game is literally built for this purpose. We have 50% Ellie, 50% Abby. Two women who desperately want to kill the other. We play as BOTH and, at least I did, feel for both characters. I was genuinly invested in the characters of Owen, Mel, Abby and Lev in the second half and when I came to one of the later missions where I find the corpses of both characters alongside the corpse of the lovable dog you've been playing with the whole game I felt huge remorse and sadness because I know that I KILLED THEM only a few hours ago. Not only this between the two leads, but between the main characters and every other enemy in the game. Any time you kill someone in a group in front of someone else, another enemy will shout "NOOO SARAH" or something similar, indicating that Wolf or Seraphite that you just killed had a name, friends, family and relationships with those around them and you just ended that in a push of a button. This happens throughout the entire game. As well as this, you find notes from the enemy sides either when your playing as Abby and killing Seraphites or when you play as Ellie and killing Wolves. You find notes from them detailing experiences and lives they had. The entire game is building towards the final moments where Ellie finally realises why other people made certain decisions.… Expand

    Every bit about this game is superb. And the narrative gives you a lasting effect, and make you mind think about it for while, unlike shiny trendy stuff of these days, it doesn't fear being sad and harsh.

After finishing it though, I can safely say I haven't felt this way about a game since last of us 1.

    The gameplay improvements at first seem rather small but each new addition builds on the last games mechanics in surprising and fun ways. Probably the biggest improvement over the first game is the level design, levels are much bigger with multiple ways to clear most areas and so much thought and detail had been put into the environment. The graphics and sound design are astounding.

    The story isn't quite as good as the first games (near perfect) story, but it is still such an amazing, rich, beautiful character driven story, and the fact that people are calling this game sad and depressing is genuinely shocking to me. Yes this game is dark at times but the struggle between the light and dark within both it's characters and plot is what makes this game so compelling.    … Expand

The story is thought provoking in a way that made me uncomfortable - it threw context at all that violence, made me witness the consequences of my actions, ushered in the feels like never before. The story is thought provoking in a way that made me uncomfortable - it threw context at all that violence, made me witness the consequences of my actions, ushered in the feels like never before. It's pretty obvious why a lot of people are upset, they were expecting a video game and Naughty Dog gave them 40 hour lesson about growing up. This might seem a bit extreme to some but I liked Abby, she was a flawed, vulnerable, hard hitting (literally and figuratively), masterstroke of a character, just like Ellie - two sides of the same coin. I'd go as far as to say Abby seemed to be a better crafted character than Ellie. Enough of the character dissection - a video game has me thinking about characters and their personalities - Naughty Dog, you guys are awesome!

    To anyone reading this review - Support the developer, we need more games like this! The attention to detail, the soundtrack, the storytelling and the gameplay! oh my god we need more games like this! Buy this game and play the whole thing - you will not regret it. Even if you don't like the story go ahead and treat yourself to the gameplay, the graphics, and the soundtrack - its a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Game on my friends! Game on!

    The gameplay...OMG THE GAMEPLAY!!!! While part one is somewhat limited in terms of this, part two improves on this significantly. I have never played a game where the combat feels to grounded and raw. Violent, yes; but an integral part of the story that it is trying to tell.
    I could write an entire essay about this masterpiece, but I want to go and play again on new game plus; survivor. What I will say is this: this game will not be for everyone. What don I recommend? Go into this game with an open mind. Rid yourself of all expectations. PLAY IN A DARK ROOM (for horror purposes).

Which I completely understand but to give it a zero rating is madness, it may not be for you but rating this as zero is either being salty or a review bomb. The games music, graphics and voice acting are second to none. The tone it sets is one of suspense and shocking awe. The environmental story telling elements are done with care and enhance the experience. The gameplay is similar to the first game but updated slightly. There is something so satisfying and visceral about the stealth take downs.

    I haven’t gone into story spoilers as going into this game having not seen the leaks meant the big moments hit like a freight train. I am not a particularly big last of us fan but this is a masterpiece and much like another favourite game of mine death stranding it’s not for everyone but it’s for me. It will boil down to how you like the story presented and for me I loved it.    … Expand

If it were so, we would not talk about sexual orientation and incorrect character representation in the user rating.     Normally i would score this game a 8, but because of al the 0's given, i give it a 10. The game isn't perfect, the story isn't perfect, but the gameplay en the emotions that come with it are impressive. Some people are dissapointed and i get it, but the **** this game is getting is ridiculous.

    Одна из лучших игр поколения. Глубокая, шокирующая, взрослая. Оставляет после себя массу эмоций и пищу для размышлений. Смелый проэкт Дракмана достойный уважения. Убрать бы всю ЛГБТ повестку цены бы ей не было.

Беспощадное убийство любимого персонажа оригинала лишает дала речи и пропитывает тебя ненавистью также,как и Элли, но в ходе прохождения, узнавай обратную сторону медали, игра стирает прежнее восприятие и ты уже не хочешь искать виноватых, потому что виноваты все, это грустно, но очень похоже на реальность. Именно этим пронизана вся история и это прекрасно. Технически игра выполнена на высочайшем уровне, геймплейно игра мало чем отличается от первой части, но то, что было сделано, разработчики довели до идеала. Графика в игре поражает и внимание к мельчайшим деталям. Каждое здание или квартира - это маленькая история прошлого , где люди жили, общались, гуляли. Об этой игре будут говорить, ее будут превозносить и отвергать, но именно так происходит, когда на свет рождается отличное произведение. В игре есть недостатки, некоторые моменты игры затянуты и становится скучно, Дина не успевает раскрыться на фоне других героев истории. Naughty Dog delivers a much more emotional game that can be hardly even called a game, it is a story, an experience... While everyone congratulates the technical and visual aspects of the game, there is no doubts they are at the highest level out there, and will be for some time. However that is not the only beautiful aspect of the game, the level design is astonishing and makes the player feel fully immersed in the story as well as sound and light, while the game lacks some character development and ,story that didn’t turn out as great, I still enjoyed most of it.

    The ending... ahhh, it is still hard to talk about it, as I said the game is not for everyone, and our life’s differ from one another, so the experience will be different of the game, I don’t see the game being fun, and I don’t mean enjoyable, those are two different things, the game is very much enjoyable, only in some parts it is not. This game wants us to understand, learn and experience something, this is a new level of video games that don’t deliver fun, but an emotion. The ending gave me understanding, relaxation, and compassion for Ellie, while I was battered, shattered, and lonely, same as her. The game delivered something for me that none other could, make me feel in the shoes of the main character, it touched the deepest parts of my soul, it made me feel reckless and mad, to being shattered and beat up inside, just like Ellie was. I hope people understand the choices that Ellie made and they would agree upon them. This game is much more than just a fun night to spend, it is an emotion that will touch you so deep inside, that you will change, look at yourself from afar, being afraid, scared, lost, but that is a luxury not all can experience.

    I am defending The Last Of Us 2 as a game that excels in almost every aspect, providing a new experience, and entering a new era of video games, it even hard to call it a video game. While it had its flaws, it is definitely one that will shape you for a lifetime.    … Expand

Couse think about it, if u where born in an apocalyptic infected world, killing people would be basic so she doesn't feel anything when killing. And she doesn't feel couse shes used to it in that **** up world. The story is very good and poetic in my opinion, I hope more people like the game and story couse its extremely good and realistic, if the real world would be like the last of us (infected and survival of the fittest) well you would kill because of your survival instinct and you wouldn't think about it cause it would be life or death .     Wow, just finished the game at around 33 hours and I'm left breathless. The raw unapologetic story telling and visceral characters is next to none. I was sceptical about the whole Abby and SJW aspect to it, and it is prominent but doesn't detract from this absolute masterpiece. 11/10

    - I want Ellie to be in Joel's house where Tommy will take her.
    - system of selection in key points, to implement variability of passage.
    - transport, that would player could manage them.
    - helicopter! To fix it and use it in a story.
    - a fraction of military scientists who would grow fungus in laboratory conditions to understand this phenomenon.
    - neutral factions of NPS with which could be agreed, and not kill each other when sorting for resources.
    - infected wild animals.
    - random events on locations between NPS that would affect the atmosphere. (Red dead redemption 2)
    - the Horde of the infected.
    - I want to scale, drama and light beam at the end of the tunnel.

The story is challenging and emotionally complex, and the lack of a Hollywood ending is a creative choice, not a flaw.
