    Breakthrought storytelling. Every detail matters. The most ambitious game of this generation. I understand it's definitely not a typical sequel anyone can imaging. but it worth everything it takes.

    These user "review" scores for this game are just pathetic. At the time of this post, the game hasn't even been out for 20 hours and it has a rating of 3.5. It takes close to 30 hours to beat the game. Meaning people are rating the game without playing it. People are being biased and rating it based off emotion.     This was for me the game of this generation.
    What a masterpiece!
    There are so many **** and plot twists that i really enjoyed. Gameplay wise its also truly 200%! Graphics, sound, combat, environments, animations, no game does it better. Thanks Naughty Dog, cant wait for Pt3.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I had to submit my review as the user score is completely unjust. Majority of the negativity stems from the rather brutal killing of Joel, first part of the game. It was a shock to see, but it had such an emotional impact I was totally engrossed in its story and how Ellie would avenge his death. After the events of the first game and the decision that Joel made that subsequently doomed mankind of all hope, did people really think he'd be able to continue without any enemies, completely unscathed? It's impossible. As much as I love Joel as a character, the way the story plays out makes sense and has such weight to it, I never felt hard done by in anyway. Abby, the character who killed Joel is actually a great character and her reasons are justified. Ellie is no saint, even more so further into the game.

    Overall I think they knocked it out of the park with this. It's just a shame a lot of people that have reviewed negatively aren't mature enough to understand the games direction.    … Expand

    This game is not for the squeamish or the faint of heart. This is a ultra violent revenge story. The first game was about the love between two characters. This sequel is the counter of that. This story is about hate. TLoU2 feels a lot like Jee-woon Kim's I Saw the Devil. For me, it's easily one of the beste story driven games ever.

    The attention to detail and atmosphere in this game is some of the best I've seen. Gameplay is fun, same mechanics as the first game with small improvements here and there. The enemy A.I in particular is noticeably better. Graphics are what you'd expect from an AAA game, stunning environments and the character models are impressive.

Objectively speaking the game earns 10 out of 10. And even if we consider the fact that the first part of this game was an unrepeatable masterpiece and a Magnum Opus from ingenious Neil Druckman, the Last of Us part 2 comes insanely close to this border. The game is huge and enhanced at least 3 time in comparison with the first part. It affected both story and locations. When first time you enter the Center of Seattle you are amazed by such a huge sizes of map. Your first thousghts accompanied by extraordinary amazement and euphoria, "wait this should be the main location where story takes place". With an excitement you look for resources, cards and other stuff because game wants tyou to do. Game is not easy and casual and you have to do your best to adequtely spend resources. Each shot is done by risk. Each bullet costs. SO you enjoy searching for loot. Locations are not easy and usually are accompanied by enemies like uneasy zombies, people and even dogs. Each type of enemy requires you to choose different style of playing. And this is plus. By the walkthrough you would visit the most of the places of the entire Seattle and this is not all. Game is insanely big and wide. It is not just a corridor shooter, but a really interesting stells action. In terms of mechanics game offers interesting amount of ways to play. You can crawl under cars, under grass. You can break windows and other stuff. And in terms of level design it is also interesting. Story telling and musical accompanement are one of uppermost important features in the game. Story is not too fast and not to hectic. It takes you from the beginning and scurpulously opens its cards. The philosophical idea that lies below the game is interesting. And narrative directors did a really good job. Many times you would think that the game is going to end. But it has more to show you. Sometimes you might get bored but accident plot twist will not allow you to get so. In terms of sounds and musical accompaniement, Gustavo is genious of music. All of the music in the are clearly in phase with the hard and uneasy story. The game will make you cry in some scenes. And the sound of guitar which represents the heaviness of the plot will blow up your emotions. And finally I don`t understand people yelling about this game. I really can`t see minuses except of some minor issues. But at all I can`t see the game by their eyes. Before the game I haven`t entered metacritic to not to destroy my expectations. So my opnion is fully objective. 10/10 magnum opus, great job Naughty dog, I think to repeat such an achievement would be hard.… Expand

    Absolutely fantastic, I’m about 15 hours in in two days. Fantastic story and game play. Playing on PS4 Pro and Qled 4K. Graphically it’s the best I’ve ever seen. Well done Naughty Dog!!

    The story is truly unique - Constantly overwhelming emotions replacing each other, you literally drown in them, it empties you, this is not just a game, it is a separate art form. An important factor is that the game does not divide the characters and their actions into good and bad, it shows the motivation and desire of each of the characters, and it is insanely cool and realistic. This has not happened in video games yet.
    Naughty dogs managed to magnificently optimize their creation for a generation of consoles that are already living out their last days, and how this game looks on this hardware is just fantastic, it is impossible to count how many great screenshots I took during this game.

    Now to the points that could push you away from the purchase:
    LGBT: is present in a small amount that does not affect this magnificent story.
    Leaked materials: For the most part, they do not meet the truth, and even if you stumble upon spoilers, this game will still not leave you indifferent and will take away all your emotions.

Maybe it’s not the Joel and Ellie story some people were looking for, but that doesn’t mean that by default that it’s bad. The game is about the cycle of violence, it’s consequences, and the many different perspectives. There are no good guys or bad guys in this story. Each character is shown in equal light, we get to understand their choices and the player isn’t supposed to agree with everything. This game isn’t a sequel about the characters from the first one, it is a continuation that uses those characters to show a larger story about hate, revenge, and the path that it all leads to.… Expand

    It's clearly obvious that there is an effort to tank the game by a certain group of people. A game with this much production value, careful detail and effort couldn't be further from the zeroes and ones that it is receiving. They most likely read the story and inferred from credible reviews to appear as if they know what the game is about.

    Don't be mislead and skip the game because of the fake reviews. You'll be missing out on a once in a generation game if you do.    … Expand

It was a very different game than the first and I'm happy the developers made the game they wanted to make, instead of regurgitating another TLOU1 that would be safe and easy to appease all the toxic little boys who keep trashing the game. I found it to be a superior game in every way. TLOU1 is great, if a bit generic. Things, overall, turned out how you wanted them to. TLOU2 was subversive when toxic man-children with YouTube channels wanted it to be a carbon copy. Poor angry YouTube mob. Maybe if you wanted to game to fail, you shouldn't have made it the fastest selling PS4 game of the entire generation. That was cute, though. Partial credit.… Expand

    What an emotional journey from start to finish, The graphics is awesome, the combat is amazing, and while the story isn't perfect especially the second half of the story, I can honestly say it one of the best games of 2020 weather you agree or not

    Oh my god. I can't stand all the garbage people are saying about the game. Everyone is pissed off because character development was not the way they wanted to be, or characters actions was not what they judge best, or because it looks too much political now, or because two girls are getting laid, or… come on people! Grow the ***** up! Stop complaining and just send you god damn curriculum to Naughty Dog and do something better than this. I’m kidding. Naughty Dog wouldn’t employee people like this.

    In my humble opinion, this is a masterpiece and the best 2020 game so far.

    Homossexual relationship, transgender and other stuff are topic in the game, but in a secondary way. And by the way, I don't see this as a problem. I could care less about what Ellie are into. If she is into girls, well good for her. If Abby is stronger the Rambo, well good for her too. I can't believe that this became something to judge in a game.

    The game give to us, again, a harsh reality. And that won't be necessarily a reality we wanted to. Well DEAL WITH IT! Sometimes people we care just die. Out of nothing! And here comes the shocking spoiler: This happens in real life too! If you can’t stand Joel’s death, imagine what Ellie felt. If you are too weak and can’t stand the feeling, stop playing and go find something more colorful to cheer you up. You probably won’t find any consolation in this game. Well I did. But it looks like people don’t think the way I do. It would be too easy for the world.

    I think Ellie is so confused about her feelings that some people say the whole revenge thing is not so convincing. That she turns into a crazy maniac killing people on her way and didn’t even finish what she started. Well that was the way she dealt with loss. In the end, she probably didn't even want that revenge. Maybe she was just so messed up, that killing people was the excuse for her to at least feel something different from regret. And not killing Abby in the end?! For me that was the masterpiece decision. She saw Abby as Joel and Lev as herself when she was young. For me that was the masterpiece. Forgiveness is a way better message for me than revenge. That made me admire her more than I already did.

    Best character ever. Best development ever. And yes, for me is much better than the first one.    … Expand
