    Not only Naughty Dog's best game yet, but also the best game Sony has ever realised. It's been days since I finished it and it is still stuck on my head. Masterpiece is a understatement for what this game is. Congrats, PLEASE keep making games like this. This is the closest a game has ever been to a movie.

    This game I found to be very enjoyable, the graphics and movements were top-tier quality and the story was balanced with just enough down time/happy moments to balance out the intense action. The characters felt natural and well written.     Honestly, ignore the negative reviews on this. They're either from racists/homophobes/transphobes or people who can't enjoy a well done story that doesn't just do what fans beg. Even if you disagree with the story every other element is improved upon the first game. Incredible story and experience. Get it now!

    The AI from this game is unrecognizable from the first. Insane improvements. I also enjoyed the story more than the first. The people complaining about "agenda pushing" have the thinnest skin I've ever seen.

Personally I didn’t really like playing as Abby, because after her scene with Joel I saw her as a villain. Especially I didn’t like it when I had to fight as her against Ellie, but seeing her perspective was definitely something new and interesting. Still the game was awesome.     Don’t believe the **** post reviews. This game is sad, but that only adds to the believability of the story. The fact that this story doesn’t make you feel good, shouldnt detract from how we interpret the quality of this game overall. This **** is good. Buy it and enjoy the hell out of it

    On my second play through on survivor+ and TLOU2 continues to shine. This game takes narrative risks but ultimately adds new layers to the story unveiled during The Last of Us. Naughty Dog has delivered masterfully with its latest achievement. Salutations all round to cast and crew.

    Great game, amazing graphics and game play. The story is great but it is not designed to please fans, it makes you feel vulnerable and in a real feeling of danger like if any of the characters can die any moment.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I dived into this game with caution after reading some general comments on social media. I took my time to play it and enjoy it and I am glad that I did it with an open mind. This is one of the best narratives I've seen in a videogame,

    Calling this a "revenge story" is diminishing what this game tries to portray, those gamers hating the game because they make you play as Abby are exactly what the developers wanted. To feel the anger of pain of losing a father, but then understanding the path to forgiveness and acceptance.

    If you got mad at Joel's death, felt Anger towards Abby, wanted her to die as much as Ellie did, the the game suceeded and deserves all the praise in the world. However, if at the end of the game you got mad because the plot of revenge never came to an end, then you might have beaten the game, but failed at what the story was trying to portray.

    The only reason why this game is not a 10 IMO is because the gameplay loop is a little bit boring (just as the first one) and because I really didn't enjoy the setting of the last chapter.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part 2 has a different proposal from the first one, it excenletly potrays the violence and the hate cycle in a destroyed world. It is one of the best games I have ever played

    The best part of this game is the introduction of what will undoubtedly be a classic video game character: Abby...whatever her last name turned out to be. She's the most accurate depiction of a video game heroine that I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of her, and I'm hoping to see more of her in the future.

    Esta es una historia para todo tipo de personas, por supuesto que muchas personas lo odian y respeto eso. Pero sin duda es una continuación más que digna y justificada de la anterior, donde profundizamos la relación con Ellie y Joel.
    No quiero dar spoilers, pero si realmente entiendes de filosofía y literatura, el final con el que nos deja es un claro ejemplo de como llevar una historia a su límite. El final es una simbologia total de la relación que Ellie no pudo arreglar a tiempo con Joel, hasta que al final, por fin puede perdonarse a si misma, esa es la razón por la qué no mata a Abby.

El viaje que tomará es introspectivo, pues conocerá fragmentos de su pasado que cambiaron la perspectiva de quienes la rodean. Se trata de un ejercicio narrativo efectivo ya que no se siente que se haya traicionado la esencia de los personajes principales. Para lograr lo anterior, las actuaciones de Troy Baker y Ashley Johnson son realmente encomiables porque aportan una enorme dosis de humanidad a lo que se ve en pantalla. Ashley es, sin duda, quien se roba el show gracias a una actuación estelar que refleja de forma humana los diferentes matices en cada faceta del personaje de Ellie. Baker, por su parte, retrata a un hombre agotado que carga con demasiado en la espalda y quien busca la redención en una de las personas que más estima en la vida y que, incluso, ama incondicionalmente.     Finished the game a few minutes ago. Wow... I like to take games nice and slow so I can soak up all the details and what’s going on in the story, so that’s why it took me so long since I pre-ordered it. First off, I understand why this game is getting so much hate. I really get it. I think the hate is wrong and misplaced, but I get it. Except for me, all the things that everyone hates soFinished the game a few minutes ago. Wow... I like to take games nice and slow so I can soak up all the details and what’s going on in the story, so that’s why it took me so long since I pre-ordered it. First off, I understand why this game is getting so much hate. I really get it. I think the hate is wrong and misplaced, but I get it. Except for me, all the things that everyone hates so much, I actually don’t mind. These things were necessary for the story. Especially when you have to do that thing halfway through the game for over 10 hours, I didn’t mind it and I thought it added a lot of humanity to the game and the characters. Towards the end, I hated both sides and didn’t want anyone to win because I thought everyone was wrong. And then in the final 3-4 hours, I loved both sides and was happy with the way it ended. The story of Joel and Ellie (and others) is a beautiful one and all in all, it’s a 10/10 for me. It’s not nearly as good as the first game, but it’s a 10/10 in its own way. Good job Naughty Dog. Proud of your team for going a direction not many people go. It’s a masterpiece whether people will admit or not. I think the reason people hate the game is because they wanted to play a game that they wanted. But you don’t get what you want. You support the developers and play their game. You’re not in charge of how a game comes out. So be the consumer and stop hating. If you’re hesitant to buy this game, I’d recommend it, but only if you go in with an open mind and ready to process all that’s thrown at you. It’s an emotional and intense game that has more twists than anyone could have guessed even outside the leaks. Play it. Just go for it.… Expand

    I could go on a long diatribe about this game. Truly I could go on-and-on about the the incredible gameplay, the expert storytelling, or the immaculate worldbuilding, but at the end of it all, it would mean just the same as this short summary: I was genuinely moved. This game affected my emotions in a way that games rarely do. It wasn’t always fun or easy, but it had me gripped the entire way.

I totally get it why people and especially media members reviewed Part 2 a 10/10, but I think that some little issues dragged down the whole experience (pacing, lenght of the game, companion's AI), but the story is really well crafted, the gameplay is non innovative but damnnnn it's really fun to play and technically is the peak of PS4. 9/10 and maybe even 9.5/10, I canFlawed masterpiece. Долго думал какую оценку эта игра заслуживает, как продолжение виликолепной первой части, 0-5 конечно нет, 10 скорее нет в игре есть недостатки особенно пред финальная локация за элли в санта-барбаре. ЛГБТ повестка не сильно бесит да элли лезбиянка, а лев это мальчик который является девочкой и это вся повестка которая обоснованна сюжетом и правилом созданного мира в игре ну а эбби это такая же как и элли у них одинаковая судьба и если вы ненавидете эбби то и элли вы тоже должны ненавидеть

    Amazing game! Nowadays it's rare to see games exploring topics like revenge, change, and redemption with such depth. The story is very interesting and immersive. Sad but realistic, showing us life is neither black nor white.That it's all a shade of gray. I found myself caring about a lot of the characters' fates. Visuals are awesome, gameplay, and music as well. A definite 10!

    Unique experience unlike any movie, book, or video game before it. The criticism is mostly hollow and offers no real insight on anything in the game, other than “I wanted something different to happen in the story”. Gameplay, graphics, voice acting, all 10/10

    I loved this game. The story was challenging, and all the hate the game is getting I believe is unwarranted, however I get if people don't like the story. Hating on the devs or actors for the story is just dumb. The story causes you to feel one way, but then works to give you a reason to reevaluate those feelings, which I think is utterly genius

    The Last Of Us parte 2 es un videojuego que cualquiera puede jugar, pero que muy pocos pueden entender. En gráficos, jugabilidad, trama y banda sonora es increíble, un juego perfecto (en lo personal)

The Last of Us Part II es la experiencia mas fuerte y dura que pueda uno sentir en un videojuego pued logra muy bien el objetivo de mostrarte que en un mundo caotico, cruel y vil no existe alguien bueno o malo ya que te llega a poner en contra de la misma protagonista del juego, esto lo consigue dandote una montaña rusa de sentimientos que van del odio a la tristeza desde el principio del juego con la presentacion de un personaje nuevo, Abby quien entra de la manera mas fuerte posible, acabando con la vida del protagonista del anterior juego Joel en este punto embarcas una aventura impulsada por el deseo de venganza, en esta cruzada Ellie no estara sola pues ira acompañada de personajes como Jessie, Tommy y Dina siendo esta la que mas resalta de los 3 al ser la pareja de Ellie y su apoyo incondicional y sincero durante la aventura deja un vinculo muy fuerte con el jugador, el juego resalta en su jugabilidad y detalles que hacen cada vez mas inmersiva la experiencia de estar en ese mundo siendo entretenido explorarlo ya que en cada esquina puede como tambien no haber algo interesante. Llegara el punto en que empezaras a jugar con Abby y con ella pasaras al rededor de un 40% del juego, y este punto es totalmente nesesario para la historia ya que busca provarte el punto del juego dandote el pasado y los motivos de Abby mostrandotr que es un personaje que sufre y que tiene sus problemas y ademas que demuestra como el acto de amor del anterior juego de salvar a Ellie dejo fuertes repercuciones en Abby, y logra muy bien el echo de hacerte entender el personaje y hasta conectar con el, este juego te seguira llevando por diferentes momentos hasta el punto en que estaras en desacuerdo con el personaje de Ellie mostrandote como la venganza la consume h la lleva por un camino que le dejara fuertes cicatrices, ya que terminara con su redencion pero en un punto en que ya paga las consecuencias por tener el deseo de vengar a quien alguna vez fue lo mas parecido a un padre que pudo tener, por esto y mucho mas que solo se puede experimentar jugando esta obra de arte es que para mi es un 100/10 y vale mucho la pena jugarlo… Expand

    This game is a masterpiece, it brought teachings to life. For every situation in the game, there was a motivation. Revenge was the main one, but in the end it only took the loss on all sides. The teaching: No revenge is worth so much.

    This game is one of the best I have ever played. It is unrelenting and makes you stop and ask yourself what you have just done. Brutal! I have never felt so emotionally invested in a game which may be why people are having a hard time accepting it but they need to realize it is a story. Told in a linear way and was done amazingly.

Honestly really loved this game, thought it was less bleak than people made out (even the ending), loved the the relationship between Ellie and Dina, my only real criticism is Manny, who was...really badly written as a walking latinx stereotype :/

    As a trans person, I appreciated and liked the trans rep with Lev, very cute character and his relationship with Abby was reminiscent of Ellie and Joel in the first game

    I felt Joel's death makes sense, I always assumed he'd die and him going out in a blaze of glory would make no sense, and considering most "revenge" stories focus on a white dude's love ones (usually a wife and/or kid) getting fridged, this was a pretty refreshing take IMO

    This game exceeded my expectations...The story is better and more complex, the graphics, atmosphere are on par if not better than the first, and there is a lot more Joel than I was expecting. The only complaint I have is that because the animators made the characters so fluid - it somethings makes the controls a little cumbersome - but other than that - I think this is an amazing game.

    after finishing this game twice, the story is a lot deeper than i first thought. the ending wasn't overly satisfying but i struggle to see how it could have been too different. story isn't perfect but i enjoyed my journey and the several points that made me stop and think about life in general.

Und das auch nur weil ich mich nicht auf das einlassen wollte,was mir ND zeigen bzw. aufdrücken wollte. Ich war frustriert und wollte nicht zulassen was meine Sicht auf die Dinge angeht. Und ein großer Teil der Wut,entstand bei mir ,da mir klar, dass trotz aller meiner Bemühung, es ND am Ende doch irgendwie schaffen. Jeder der es bewertet, sollte Teil 1 und Teil 2 gespielt haben. Und dann 1 bis 2 Tage warten. Und nicht auf irgendwelche pews hören. Die eh ur mit einem halben Auge spielen und hauptsächlich den Chat unterhalten.     Story- One of the best I’ve ever experienced in a game. Acting and writing is on another level.
    Gameplay-Incredible, fun, creative, and immersive. Very well done.
    Visuals-Unreal. Even on PS4 slim, it looks so good.

    Overall- This is hands down one of the best modern games ever made. The critic reviews are spot on. Those review bombing have a obviously never played the game.

The gameplay has some minor polishes and some majorly fun new levels and one of the most horrifying bosses I've ever played, old and new characters well developed, and a story that challenges. I bsee why some didn't like it, but I think it was beautifully executed.

The big event at the beginning was spoiled for me, but I kept hope alive that it was out of context. As many others, I was sad, angry, and disappointed that it happened, but I understand that this is the world they live in. It’s not a happy ending type of world. The second half of the game was not spoiled for me, and so I was shocked to see the character who features. I felt weird playing as Abby, but I could understand her perspective. The game made me do things I did not want to which, in the moment, I did not like, but I understood why ND placed that on the player. The two confrontations presented me with so much internal turmoil, and I didn’t want to align with the characters. The open-ended ending makes me hopeful that a third installment will be on the way. There was so much to digest and I wanted to experience the game again. As of this post, I am on day 2 in Seattle with Ellie. I love the world and characters of TLOU.… Expand

Второй день я не могу отойти от концовки, такая она вышла эмоциональная, пробирающая до мурашек. Кто бы что ни говорил, эта история заслуживает внимания, и здесь важно переварить все произошедшее и взглянуть на события второй части под разными углами, не зацикливаясь на сами знаете чем, как бы тяжело это не было. With so much negativity and hate, I questioned whether or not I should even get it, and to be honest I was worried about the game. However, unlike most gamers I am very open minded and wasn't going to judge the game untill I got it and played it. I went in knowing one of the spoilers but I didn't let that discourage me. And I'm glad I did.The Last of Us Part 2 exceeds part 1 in every way possible. The graphics are breathtaking, the sound design perfect, the level of detail in every environment you walk through is beyond magnificent, combat is grounded and brutal. Ashley Johnson's performance of Ellie was the highlight of the whole game, she deserves an award for her performance! The Last of Us Part 2 was an emotional game to get through, by end of it I was wiping tears from my eyes. When the credits rolled I was left with the same awe and amazement after playing The Last of Us back in 2013. With The Last of Us Part 2 Naughty Dog has cemented why they are the BEST developer in the world, no other developer comes close to the talent and pedigree they achieve. Wokeness: I understand the curiosity and confusion that comes with encountering a non-gender conforming person. I know that most people will think that the inclusion of so many LGBT people in this game was done so that they could appear woke. However I think that critique comes from people who don’t have a lot of diversity in their own lives. There will eventually be a time where LGBT characters in main roles will be not controversial at all, maybe when our own lives are equally diverse. O

    2. The villain:I hated Abby from the moment that she killed Joel and when I had to play her I was annoyed. I kept on dying whenever I was forced To attack Elli. I didn’t believe that it was fair for Abby to get a redemptive art after she completed her revenge against Joel. I found it annoying and not believable whenever she all of a sudden took interest in taking care of two children. It felt forced But then at the end, she was given redemption by caring more about the life of that kid than her own. It wasn’t until the very end that I actually liked Abby and found myself trying to stop Ali from killing her. I don’t know if I wanna ever see her again but I’m glad I met her. 3. The Ending: The best part of the last game was the ethical dilemma at the end. I never thought that Joel should have killed all the fire flies and stop the creation of a cure so that Ellie could live. At the very end of this game, we realize that all we went through to kill Abby was for nothing. Right before Abby’s last breath Ellie suddenly sees a glimpse of a memory that saves Abby’s life. Later on we see the full memory. Ellie is mad at Joel because now Ali has to find meaning in her life. Before she knew her meeting, she was a cure . Now she has to be like the rest of us and find our own lives’ meaning. Ellie has to find a meaning for her life. At the very end we don’t know a lot about what Ellie wants her life‘s meaning to be, but we know that it doesn’t even involve more senseless death and that’s why Abby gets to live.    … Expand

    I'm not understanding the 1 ratings. Unless you hate abby as much as I do but still it's an amazing game!! I have a lot of love hate for it but it by no means should get a 1star. The game is well written and I don't understand the bad reviews.
