    Outstanding game. First off, ignore the fake reviews on here, theres a lot. You can tell as the date on them is the same day the game released. The game took me just under a week to finish (29hrs) then I went back for the platinum (extra 20 hrs). Had an amazing time with this game. The graphics and gameplay are phenomenal. If you aren't fan of one or the other, you can literally skip it one way or another. For example, most of the combat encounters can be skipped by stealthily crossing and escaping through a door. Should you go guns blazing, it can get very brutal, some of the most over the top but realistic gore I have ever seen in a game. People are bashing this game because of the story not living up to their expectations, I new the leaks but never watched any clips. I was a little shocked at the direction, but not as upset as some fans of the original. I still went and pre ordered and was not disappointed. I didnt find the story or writing bad, maybe the way certain things played out could have been different, but they are what they are and I can live with that. If you're open minded about the story telling, you'll really enjoy this game.… Expand

    The best game EVER! Naughty Dog didn't give us what we expected at all and that is THE POINT! This is a refreshing new game, stunning mechanics and graphics, wonderful music, and such a brave STORY. Many people didn´t understand it but it is very complex and beautiful story. This is a masterpiece in every single aspects. MUST PLAY for sure. Be prepare for the most scary roller coaster everThe best game EVER! Tengo muchas cosas que decir del juego por que me a parecido una obra maestra inolvidable y cada vez que vuelvo a jugar disfruto cada centímetro del juego. Los personajes principales yEh esperado 5 años para este gran momento y jugar a una nueva obra maestra llamada The Last Of Us Parte 2 y solo debo decir que el juego a sobrepasado todas mis expectativas y la espera a valido a la pena. Tengo muchas cosas que decir del juego por que me a parecido una obra maestra inolvidable y cada vez que vuelvo a jugar disfruto cada centímetro del juego. Los personajes principales y secundarios están a la altura el universo del juego y losa peligros que conlleva son de 10, jugabilidad de 10, gráficos de 10, sonido de 10 y lo que mas me gusto fue la historia y es de 10.

    The Last of Us Parte 2 para mi es superior a la primera parte en todo y The Last Of Us Parte 2 lo considero una obra maestra y cuando finalice el juego lo primero que pensé es en aplaudir.

Мне жалко Джоэла, ведь еще в первой «The Last of Us» он теряет самое бесценное что у него есть - дочь Сару, но на протяжении игры он находит и видит в Элли свою вторую дочь и понимает, что это может быть его последней потерей. ИЯ прошел «The Last of Us Part II» и мне очень грустно и горько от той жалости, которую я испытываю ко всем действующим лицам этого непревзойденного произведения. Мне жалко Джоэла, ведь еще в первой «The Last of Us» он теряет самое бесценное что у него есть - дочь Сару, но на протяжении игры он находит и видит в Элли свою вторую дочь и понимает, что это может быть его последней потерей. И не взирая на то, что Элли возможно это ключ к спасению миллионов жизней, происходит то роковое событие в больнице Святой Марии, которое запустит цикл мести, которая всех погубит. К большому сожалению, правда, которая выходит наружу, оставляет Джоэла непрощённым и убитым. Эбби потеряла отца, а далее и друзей, ее мотив прост и понятен, а то, что она и ее группа оставили Томми и Элли в живых, говорит о ее моральных принципах, которые демонстрируются на протяжении игры. Прошу заметить, что в театре Эбби также оставляет в живых Элли и Дину. Лев играет очень важную роль в будущей жизни Эбби, так как забота о нем - это теперь ее смысл. Эбби, как человек, вызывает симпатию и после всего случившегося за нее переживаешь больше, чем за остальных. Мне нравится Эбби так же, как и Элли. Я прошел путь от абсолютной ненависти к ней до истинного понимания и отношения к ней, и все это заслуга искусного рассказывания историй.     It was a huge risk to take a step back from a standard ”path of the hero” story and created something, which has a huge resemblance with Game Of Thrones.     It’s easy to see why this has become such a fan favorite along with all the high praise from the critics. TLOU2 is without a doubt one of the strongest PS4 title ever released. Brutal, honest, unforgiving and beautiful. I’m enjoying all the details along with the characters and storyline.

The gameplay is top notch and you get a long game for your money’s worth. Don’t buy into all the hate, this is a great game with good plot twists.     Finished the game in 45 hours and i couldn't get enough of it i am playing now on the survivor mode and its a blast, its simply one of the best games of all time, i adore the story the animations the graphics the gameplay the sound design and Abby.

    The plot of Tlou 2 is very mature which requires a lot of patience and understanding and I think that is why the rating is like that.

    I think that I've never experienced emotions as I experienced with this game, this game made me express every kind of emotion there is but Anger and sadness was the main emotions for me

    The mechanics were amazing, the sneaking and the mele combat absolutely crazy.

    There is no need to talk about the visuals who was outstanding.

    As a con, I would say that the game was a little bit to long and quite frustrating during the end, could end 2-3 hours before the actual ending.

    But with that said it is still a masterpiece, and I'm very glad I had the chance to play it, great job Naughty Dog for this Piece of art , can't wait to play your next game.    … Expand

    Simply extraordinary, deep story, interesting characters, groundbraking graphics and great combat. It's almost a perfect improvement over it's predecessor, some people may hate, but I assure, nobody is ready for this experience, that's until now, for me, the strongest competitor for GOTY, just saying.

    definitely a 10/10. i dont see what the fuss about joel death to others, but the this story demands it. loved both abby and elle story. stories like this only naughty dog can make. i hope i see last of us part 3.

    Naughty Dog creates stories with video games like no other studio. They proved this with Uncharted, The Last of Us Part I and now with The Last of Us Part II. This video game challenges you as a player, it causes a wide range of emotions. Naughty Dog dared to make unpopular decisions and it paid off. I never played a game like this and I look forward to Naughty Dog's future projects.

    This game left me speechless by the end credits. It made me laugh, made me cry and made me angry all in the span of a few minutes. A real rollercoaster ride of emotion that I have not felt since the first iteration but I feel this is even more so.     The gameplay is both fluid and brutal and is a huge step up from the first title. Graphically speaking it is without peer and the level of detail is out of this world amazing.

    As a game about love, hate and loss and the consequences from ones actions combined with all the technical flourishes makes this game a flawless experience. I spent 41 hours with it almost reaching Platinum and now into new game plus, so I know the game inside and out and it was just an incredible experience for me.

    I would highly recommend this if you are into brutal arthouse or grindhouse films/games. It was marketed as mainstream but it really isn't, I equate to films like 8mm or Ichi the Killer, brutal but brilliant at the same time.    … Expand

    Completed my first playthrough recently and I’ve gotta say that the emotional turmoil it put me through was unlike any game I have ever played. I am so glad I gave it a chance despite the leaks and the negativity it has accumulated online

    I give this game a perfect score.
    I enjoyed my whole playthrough and I think the writers took real risks with the story, a choice they should be celebrated for.
    Thoroughly enjoyed this game, I recommend it highly. Congrats to everybody who helped to make such a beautiful game.

    A game not really about revenge, but guilt, the cycles of violence, and forgiveness. It not only challenges your preconceived notions of what is true or not, but more or less tests your capabilities for empathy. There is no game like it and even a week after completing the game, it’s emotional toll on me is still present. Plainly put: a masterpiece.

I've just finished it and I am in awe of what it must have taken to make this game. The visuals are stunning, the level design is detailed and interesting. The story is excellent and the pacing is perfect. If you liked the first game you will love this one either more.

This part is about revenge, where things go ugly and the people who suffer the most are always innocent. Ellie and Abby are so similar yet so different. The game shows you that this revenge path is a circle, which will unavoidably lead to more suffering and pain. People who did not like this game just did not try to understand it. I see so many reviews about how they will not complete the game, how they are not willing to sympathise with Abby and listen to her part of the story. This game is not about LGBT, muscular woman, pregnant woman or transgenders. If you just try to listen to whatever this game is trying to teach you, wait for a bit and carry on playing till the very end, you will see that the details of the lgbt and all of that does not matter. Lev and Yara are amazing characters no matter what.
    Do not ruin your game experience with limiting your emotion spectrum to the level of a tea bag. Listen first to what game is trying to teach you and then write your review.
    The reason why I liked this game is very simple yet it took me to realise that. This game is deep. It tells you so much yet leaves the analytical part to yourself. This is why many people thought that the game is wrong. They just never gave it a second thought. And this game needs more than just one extra thought. I read many comments and saw enough reviews to understand that many people just treated it as a game, not the story that you analyse and understand, just another game. I see that many people did not understand what the first part was all about and they carried this misunderstandings to the second part and therefore understood nothing and ended up hating the game and ruining one of the best playing experiences you can ever have just playing a game.
    If you are ready to listen, to learn about what the game is trying to tell you, if you have patience to learn then you should definitely give this game a go. I would recommend it to anyone, except for kids, this game has way to many violence and is too deep for kids to play, they will not understand **** about this game and end up writing a negative review.

    I was a bit nervous given all the controversy and drama surrounding the game. I really liked the original title, and was looking forward to this one. Well, it is amazing. It's not a flawless game, but no game is and this is definitely one of the best games ever made. I cannot believe that so many are review bombing this. They have not even played the game. Grow up. Joyle's death at the beginning of the game ... did they merge the character? Don't forget that the characters live in a dangerous world, as Tess said from the first part, " Luck can't last forever!» Forget the expression leaked character, this does not apply to TLoU2… You could have made a different story, you can, but the writers did this… This game can be put 9 out of 10, but because of the most biased ratings = 0 well, this....     I don't often review but I must protest the review-bombing going on as the game is GREAT on many levels. There are a lot of babies crying that a character they liked was killed off, well suck it up as it's a Last of Us game, things like that are going to happen in a brutal world like the one NaughtyDog are writing. Aside from the plot, the gameplay and graphics are fantastic and putting aI don't often review but I must protest the review-bombing going on as the game is GREAT on many levels. I don't think some players are mature enough for something different, thought provoking, gritty and brutally real.

    No point in comparing this to any expectations or the prequel. On its own TLOU2 is an experience all on its own and while the story might have its critics - to not experience it to judge for yourself would be an absolute travesty.

    The reason many people straight up end up hating on the game is due to the fact Joel dies in the first act itself but as we (ellie) continues our pursuit of vengeance the further we go the more it hurts us and everybody around us. By the time we reach aquarium and kill pregnant mel thats when we-the character really start to question our actions.
    Then the clock resets to Seattle day 1 and we play as the character which seems the antagonist to us from the beginning act but as we deep dive into her story we realise she got her revenge but that didn't stop her from having nightmares and in the process she loses everyone close to her. In the end it's lev who stops her from killing Dina ending the cycle of violence.
    In the end Ellie finally realises that revenge is just not worth it but her pursuit of it throughout the events of the story has a cost. The cost being she ends up alone, her worst fear comes to life but she is finally at peace with herself and Joel.    … Expand

    But now to the most important part: the game's very courageous storyline. It's an absolute roller-coaster of feelings. Nope, it won't go the old-fashioned "good versus evil" way with tough guys and weak women, it's a very modern story, even with same-sex feelings. If you're "too tough" for standing that, just leave it; it'll just make you angry. But if you're open-minded, the game will make you laugh, love, hate and everything in between.

    Also, and that's why it's modern and very brave for an expensive triple-A title, it sheds light to "the bad side" too, by switching perpectives. Like many outstanding movies that make you ponder (21 Grams, L.A. Crash, BABEL, The Thin Red Line, ...), the game shows that your enemies have their own issues, reasonable motives and feelings, too. Just like enemies (=people) in real-life would.

    Usually, this is not a topic for games as its easier to write a one-sided story and simpler to digest for the consuments. But it also won't make you THINK about it. Now we have some **** storms and (stupid) petitions, so ND did something right. ;) PS: TLOU2 is also not a game for children, it is VERY (because realistically) brutal and contains some sex scenes, too. To not spoil anything this game is not about survival. I didn't love the game in the first 5 hours, but the next 23 it took me to complete it easily made up for it.

    Game is 10/10 to be honest. They showed a lot of cruelty and overall that revenge is bad option for both sides. Every person losing something important cause of that. Really hard story to understand but if you feel it so deeply and if you are focus enough you're able to face this amazing masterpiece in a good way.
