    This game is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. It's that kind of game that makes you feel eager to arrive home from work as soon as possible and play as much as you can. The story is superb, keeps you interested from start to finish, and the gameplay is simply addicting. If you have a PS4, buy this game NOW!

    An absolute masterpiece. A fitting and emotional experience. It’s a part 2 of the whole story. And shows the consequences to people’s actions. Everyone is a bad guy.

I avoided all spoilers but had a good idea Joel was gonna die because of the uproar on the internet, though when I started playing as Abby I couldn't stand her at first, I was actually throwing myself off the top of buildings at first to get my revenge for Joel. First time I've purposely killed myself in a game! Ha. But I gotta hand it too naughty dog, by the end I actually liked her and felt for her, I thought the ending was sick and it was better revenge than killing her for Ellie as she killed everyone close to her and left her alive with the guilt that they all died because of her revenge on Joel.

    Sin duda uno de los juegos de la generación. Como era de esperarse a nivel sonido, ambientación y gameplay es uno de los mejores juegos de PS4. Mención aparte para el apartado gráfico / técnico donde ND hace magía y nos da las mejores visuales que un juego puede tener en 2020 y todo corriendo en una consola que tiene ya 7 años. Realmente increíble.
    La historia es super interesante,    Sin duda uno de los juegos de la generación. Como era de esperarse a nivel sonido, ambientación y gameplay es uno de los mejores juegos de PS4. Mención aparte para el apartado gráfico / técnico donde ND hace magía y nos da las mejores visuales que un juego puede tener en 2020 y todo corriendo en una consola que tiene ya 7 años. Realmente increíble.
    La historia es super interesante, intensa y contada de una manera bastante original. Claramente no será del agrado de todos, ya que se aleja muchísimo del fan service y de los lugares seguros (En mi caso agradezco que así sea)
    El único punto flojo del juego es que dentro de las 30 horas que dura, en algunos momentos (muy pocos igualmente) pierde ritmo cuando hace que el personaje vaya de un punto A a un punto B. Esto se podría haber resumido en una cinemática (como hacía TLOU1) Sin embargo, suma por el lado de sentir que la historia día a día está ocurriendo en tiempo real.
    Es un juego que recomiendo no perderse ya que cierra la generación actual con un nivel altísimo.
    Evitar dejarse llevar por la gran cantidad de reseñas falsas / spam que hay en esta pagina, alcanza con solamente leer un buen par de las que tienen como nota de 0 a 4 y ver que son de personas que jamás probaron el juego. Sino que siguen repitiendo cosas de los falsos leaks de meses atrás. (historias subidas a reddit y otros foros)    … Expand

    The Last Of Us Part II is an absolutely stellar game that has unfortunately been directly impacted upon release by the horrible people who leaked the spoilers months ago. People saw those, decided how they wanted to feel about it completely out of context, and suddenly it was cool to hate the game. Suddenly it was cool to label it as agenda pushing, political or whatever. It’s not. It just happens to be about real people who (shocker) arent always straight white dudes. The funniest thing is that people are still labeling Abby as trans . It wouldn’t matter if she was, but she isn’t. So by default, tons of people’s opinions aren’t valid.

    I thought this game was an improvement upon the original in each and every way. It even rectified my one and only complaint in the first game, which was the super clunky melee combat that resorted to mashing square and punching enemies in the face over and over with the same animation. Adding the dodge mechanic went a long way in the sequel.

    Seattle is the most well realized real world city that I’ve ever seen in a game. As someone who grew up in the area I had an absolute blast exploring every nook and cranny.

    The story is utterly compelling from start to finish. I was literally on the edge of my seat with completely undivided attention during every cutscene. I desperately wanted to keep coming back to the game because I just wanted to know what happened next. It’s an added bonus then, that the gameplay is so damn good.

    This is the smartest enemy AI I’ve ever encountered. It truly felt like I was hiding from real people at times. The moment I knew this was on another level was during the first encounter with Wolves. I ran into a classroom after being seen and ducked behind a desk, to which an enemy called out “she’s by the desk!”, to which I audibly said “what the ****

    I admired the choice of having Joel’s death be the catalyst for the story. I was disgusted and appalled by it, and immediately understood why they did it. I now shared the same anger as Ellie. Ellie, who had just seen her “father” get viscerally murdered. And me, who had just seen the protagonist I just spent 14 hours connecting with getting murdered. That was powerful. Now the player shares the motivation completely with Ellie and is like “yep, let’s go kick the **** out of this woman.” And what an utter, shocking surprise it was later when Naughty Dog managed to make me love Abby.

    There are two sides to every story. Everybody is the villain in somebody else’s story. It’s such a shame that people saw Abby do what she did and then never chose to forgive her, never gave her a chance or even tried to see from her perspective. That’s so strange to me that people were so stubborn that they went through her half of the game and had their opinion completely unchanged. That means that YOU can’t forgive people. That means you might have a problem with putting yourself in other people’s shoes. I hope you can play this game again and maybe think about what that says about yourself.

    I’m still mulling over my experience with this game because I just finished it a few days ago. But for me I’d add it to my short list of what I consider perfect games, the other two being Uncharted 4 and Bioshock. Uncharted 4 is probably still my favorite Naughty Dog game, but I’m biased to that series I think cause it just means a whole lot to me.

    I will add that yes, the game is ridiculously dark, but I actually walked away from it a lot more hopeful than I thought it would be. It actually ended on a somewhat positive note for both Abby and Ellie. Yes, Ellie lost her family, but she’s become a better person, she’s moving on from Joel and she’s off (I think) to go reconcile with Dina. I interpret this way: Ellie realized that if she was able to forgive Joel, then maybe Dina could forgive her. And I think she will, cause Dina rules.

    I went on for a long while and I hope I wasn’t too harsh on the people who didn’t like it. If you played it and didn’t like it that’s perfectly fine. The people who don’t play it and shout around saying the game sucks need to be silenced though. (Not killed. Don’t kill them. Just, be louder than them about the true nature of this game. Because it’s incredible.)

    I just barely beat the game all the way through and the ending left me feeling hollow. I don't know if this deserves a full 10... I'd honestly give it a 9 - 9.5. However, I can see how this game isn't for everybody. It isn't a game that is about happy feelings. It is raw and real in a lot of ways.     The Last of Us crowned the PS3 era and defined the generation. I have no doubt that the Last of Us 2 has just done the same for the PS4. Brutal, beautiful, horrifying and moving, a classic.

    It is great game and naughty dog makes masterpiece again! The level design and gameplay and atmosphere is beyond the masterpiece. Some content in story is unnecessary but in the end this game is a art and valuable legacy form naughty dog for gamer.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    I feel like the game was still a worthy title to its predecessor. I found it fun and enjoyable. They took risks and some paided off. Others didn't. Still a great title.

    TLOU2 is really more than that, because it takes you on an extreme emotional journey of violence, hate and trauma and you as a player will suffer through it. It’s nothing I would recommend someone with a mental health issue and I would actually like to see a trigger warning for the game. The reason why I’m almost disappointed by the very negative reviews is, that most of these people really don’t understand, what they are actually feeling. They do not understand, that this game made them feel so utterly furious and heartbroken, that they couldn’t cope with it. And instead of embracing a game so powerful, that it creates real world emotional pain, they try to marginalise it. I think it is even understandable, that people hate something, that is masterfully designed to make you feel so much sorrow and pain, but this is also, what makes it so exceptional.

    There is only once in a while a piece of art, that is as strong, bold and intense as TLOU2 and I don’t want people to miss it, because of immaturity.    … Expand

This Game will go down in history as the masterpiece that defined an entire generation. It has the best graphics seen today. its mindblowing this looks like the first midgen ps5 game.

    This is a story about rage, violence and revenge. Expect to survive this game with you heart in pieces.

    A very brave and ambitious game.

    Perfect Ten! Been loving this franchise since 2013, i hv a high hope on sequal but looking at all the harsh critics made me confused and worried at first, but after finished the game , i felt empty and completely blown away by the story.
    Seriously this game gonna get GOTY, naughty dog did it again.

    As for story, I think the death early in the game was tough but the goal was always to have Ellie take the lead role. It's a standard trope, sure,    This game is a technical masterpiece!     Absolutely superb game. Graphics are off the charts for this generation, the gameplay has improved a great deal and makes it even more fun to play, and the story is bleak, violent and moving, just as a The Last of Us story should be.
    PS: even if you don't like the story, scoring this game under 7 is appalling.

    Gameplay: 9/10 - It's really fun and the animations are top-of-industry.     Gameplay: 9/10 - It's really fun and the animations are top-of-industry. Amazing technical achievement

    Music: 9/10 - Fantastic music, every moment was appropriately scored, and boy did it evoke some feelings
    Voice acting (not counted toward final score): 10/10 - Absolutely top notch. I was blown away by all performances in this regard. Well done, ND.
    Pacing: 6/10 - I was not happy with how brutally long some moments were, and it did feel unnecessary many times.
    Story: 8/10 - A believable tale about the consequences of Joel's actions and what PTSD can do to someone. Could have been better, but still great.

    Final score: 8.4/10 - an enjoyable game in almost every aspect.

    Because I believe in justice, to offset all the absoiutely ridiculous 0/10 scores, I will be scoring this a 10/10 here. There is no universe where this game is a 0/10, so we can confidently say those are all nonsense. However, there are arguments to be made that it is a 10/10, so I will once again say, my score is 8.4, but I am putting 10/10 here anyway.    … Expand

    Experience abslutely worthy of your time. It would be a shame to skip on it based on the hate it Is getting from some vocal people. It will bring you feelings you maybe do not like, but that is the reason you should play. Think about characters and try to put yourselve in tjeir shoes.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Incredible, beautiful, emotionally exhausting, epic game. Do not play it if you have not played the first, and if it's been more than a year since you played the first, I suggest playing it again prior to this one.
    When I say 'epic', I'm talking Godfather 1 and 2, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and more.
    I want to play it again but my heart is wrung out.

    TLOU Part II quebrou um paradigma e tirou muita gente da zona de conforto ao que quanto mais você joga, mais você perde. No final, você perde tudo, se sente vazio. E não é a Ellie que se sente vazia, é você, jogador. É você que sente o peso de tudo o que aconteceu. Por isso é tão doloroso.

    É um sentimento que muitos não vão gostar, e vão preferir voltar aos jogos que te premiam por destruir tudo e matar todo mundo. Mas ninguém pode dizer que TLOU Part II é um jogo ruim.

    Ele prometeu realismo. Ele entregou.

    A bit darker than the first game. Really heavy stuff but one of the best games I have ever played. Most movies and games get a sequel because the creators know the fans want more. Naughty dog had more to say and it's definitely worth your time.

The way the narrative rises and falls in a cyclical motion mirroring the cycles of hate and more importantly forgiveness present with its characters.     You are supposed to hate certain characters and certain moments and the beauty of the game is that it tests your ability to forgive in those situations. The game itself is almost a social experiment, testing how far you would go and wether or not you can learn to empathize with others despite possible wrongdoings.

    Not to mention this game's combat mechanics are top notch, and the graphics may be the best I've seen to date. Every character here feels realized wether they spend much time with you or not. The level designs are varied and interesting, and the new weapon customizations are awesome.

    If you have been paying attention to these scores for users they have gone up from a 3 to a 5 now that more people have actually beaten the game and seen the story play out. It's not an easy game to get through, it's emotionally draining at times. But for those who can handle the intense violence and complex themes the world of The Last of Us has to offer, this game is a MUST play. Game of the year 2020 right here.    … Expand

    this is my first ever review. the story is amazing, graphics are the most realistic in any game ive ever played. combat is intense and hard. bottom line, if you are a bigot and a homophobe you will hate this game, everyone else will absolutely love it.

    Well, I don't know why so many people over here crying about the plot, it's great - maybe little cheese at times. But game is a master peace and not many developers do this says what NaughtyDog can. Every game is always a huge step forward. Not another : Assassin, Call of duty , gears gears , halo etc.
    Graphics / gameplay / story is great

    Think about it. Definitely 10/10

    The game has some disadvantages of course, such as limitation of level exploring (Ellie blocks the way behind all the time, in order to free system resources but it often prevent you from looting some supplies which were left behind), motion matching animation sometimes works buggy, to but still it is so very much better that most of the similar games of this genre.     What game were they playing? This is nothing short of a masterpiece. If you played the first game and fell in love with the characters then you will find no shortage of tear jerker moments. The action is great, the characters as strong as ever and the story is engaging as hell. Screw your 4 star ratings. Actually play the damn thing and stop being biased.

The game is good over all, I have actually really enjoyed it, and the parts people are pissed about really isn’t that bad.
