Remarkable landmark on Video Games History.
Great achievement on technic and a complex story with tons of subtexts and avoiding judgments.
An excellent portrait of humanity on its best and worse.
Masterpiece, that will remembered for the rest of Video Games History.
NOT FOR CHILDREN, in age or spirit.

This game is a gem and a worthy second part to the now legendary The Last of Us. I understand some people would have wanted a "better" story, but I found it realistic and very well put together. There were some twists that I didn't expect which I loved.
    It's definitely worth playing!

The greatest game of 2020 (at the moment). The Last of Us: Part II is a game about anger, hate, vengeance, but, above all, forgiveness. As The Last of Us (2013) was, this game is a turning point in story driven games, and only can only hope that every game from now on will continue to have this much attention to detail and cinematographic moments.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

A gente é forçado a odiar a Abby logo no começo do jogo. E somos obrigados a refletir.

The Last of Us Part II é uma obra de arte.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is surely a technical top end of this generation. There are a lot of complains about the story, but I don't agree with that. There is so much more behind the story, I loved Abbys storyline. My only problem is that it is maybe 5 hours longer than it needs to be and chapters would serve the story better in another order. Naughty Dog doesn't owe anyone a story that's expected. They took a bold direction that mirrors a huge issue happening in America right now, hate, division, and a lack of empathy for the other side. Without experience, divisiveness is easy. There is no light without darkness though. Just because the writing goes in a different direction than expected, does not mean it isn't great. Some of the best dialogue in any video game ever can be found here. The writing and acting is incredibly nuanced. There is subtlety and depth that you can't find in other games to this level of professionalism. The themes are dark, but there are beautiful glimpses of hope, joy, and perseverance.

Even if for some reason you just can't stomach the story, there is no denying that the gameplay and the graphics are amazing. I have a fairly high end PC , and no game touches these graphics even on the relatively weak ps4 pro. RDR2 comes very close, but this has set the standard. There is a level of photo realism that blew me away. At 30fps I never noticed. Naughty Dog are wizards at optimization. Movement is weighted in realism, yet buttery smooth. Zero bugs on my playthrough.

The level design is top tier. The environments create an immersive experience that is hard to match without VR. Stealth creates tension, and when all hell breaks loose, the chaos of running through fixed yet open areas creates a uniqueness to everyone's playthrough. The survival element is visceral.

One of the greatest games of all time.

This is one of the best games I ever played. Go into this game with no expectations and you'll be pleased. I barely played the first last of us and immediately after I played the last of us 2. I feel like the only reason this game got so much flak was because the expectations people hyped up over 7 years. I played them back to back and thought the second part was better.

If the story beats were less disjointed or cut entirely this would have been a 10/10 game. But the game loses focus, characters act against previously established mindframes and some areas of the game seem to be there just to add additional playtime. Over all 7.5.

There comes a moment in this game where it sets up a pretty good ending, but then for some reason, it keeps going, and leaves Ellie with absolutely nothing, and left a lot to be deisred. But besides that, the game is very good. The gameplay is amazing and the scenery is truly stunning. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved this game! Why? First of all, the graphics, environments, sounds and animations are really good and creating an awesome atmosphere. But only a few people would deny this.
The story is the controversial subject. If you want a simple action adventure story like the other millions out there (Uncharted, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider) with some twists and an ‘the hero saves the day’ ending/atmosphere you will be heavily disappointed.
If you don’t have a problem with some bad feelings and a crown-up story, then could this something for you. Sure, not every little part of the story is perfect but the game (the story tellers) had the guts to show consequences if someone kills another, the beginning and ending of a spiral of violence, traumatized persons and Ellie who lost almost everything cause she devote herself to vengeance.
In the end it is nice to see that video games beginning to fulfill their role as cultural property.

The game is a true experience. Through both narrative and gameplay, it purposefully utilises the player's emotions. It is a gritty, dark and bleak story with very little room to breathe and a true horror game. Some parts do drag a little, especially when there are several open areas one after another, but it doesn't take anything away from the feelings it brings.

Abby goes from hardcore no questions ask killer, to befriending a would be enemy, rediscovering her humanity, all completely independent of Ellie & her story.

In the beginning of the game, Ellie has a fractured relationship with Joel & a burgeoning relationship with a pregnant Dina. After witnessing Joel's tortuous murder, Ellie's vow to kill Abby would have even made the God's quake for a second, But Owen, the future scar sympathizer, the man that wants to hope again w/ The Fireflies & Santa Barbara. Rather than being a pawn in the senseless violent war between The Seraphites & The WLF stands between Ellie, sparing her life.

Ellie has come to Seattle to ***k **i* up & kill Abby, & she can't find Abby. As each day passes, Ellie ventures down a darker path, killing Jordan, torturing Nora, culminating in day 3, killing Owen & a pregnant Mel. For a moment Ellie realizes that her revenge led to greater pain, greater trauma and decides to return home...but then Abby appears having Tommy on the ground, shooting Jesse as he barges in... Eventually, Ellie is unable to defeat Abby, having her arm broken, Dina pierced with an arrow as Abby smashes Dina's head to the ground, she grabs her knife about to deal the killing blow to a pregnant woman as Ellie did to Mel. But Lev came to to the rescue. Lev a boy exiled from his group because of his identity built a kinship with Abby, who a week ago would have been his enemy & Abby spares them...again.

Abby goes from hardcore no questions ask killer, to befriending a would be enemy, rediscovering her humanity, completely independent of Ellie & her story. Abby starts her story as an infantryman going to the FOB. Upon meeting Isaac, she then wants to find out the truth about Owen & Danny. On her way she is caught by Scars, as she's a kick of a barrel away from being hanged, Yara has her "wings" clipped for sympathizing with an apostate (her brother). Lev kills a scar, Abby saves Yara, the kindness is the returned as Yara tells Lev to cut Abby down. They work together to stay alive for how ever brief. Abby helps set Yara's arm & finds the truth about Owen & then bang.

Day 2 is pretty simple, Abby feels compelled to seek out Yara & Lev, leading Abby to bring Yara to the aquarium. Yara's arm need to be cut off, so Abby & Lev journey to the hospital. They bond a bit, in their fear, while also speaking of their respective factions’ "truths". But Day 3 is when everything is turned to an 11. Lev goes to the island because he still hopes his mom would break from her ways coming with him (sorry Lev) to Santa Barbara. Abby & Manny have a tussle with some sniper guy (RIP Manny), luckily, Yara intervenes in the scuffle & they're able to find a boat eventually reaching Lev, On their way out of the Island, Abby unfortunately comes face to face with Isaac. Isaac about to pull the trigger on Abby to kill a scar kid, is killed by Yara. In these few seconds, Abby escapes with Lev eventually leading back to the aquarium where Abby awaits, Owen, Mel & Alice to have the boat ready for Santa Barbara. Only to find Alice dead, Owen shot & Mel stabbed.

18 months later, we see Ellie (still plagued by Joel's death) in a farmhouse with Dina & JJ. When an opportunity to resolve this trauma comes by a disgruntled Tommy, Ellie has to take it... but wait you have Dina & JJ, Abby let you live not once but twice, but you're still going for revenge. (I guess Ellie really does not appreciate what she has until it's gone). After reaching Santa Barbara, acquiring a very nice silencer rifle. She finally finds Abby (a husk of her former self, both literal & figurative), cuts her down but Abby doesn't care about Ellie, she cuts down Lev, carries him to the boats & hopefully reach the fireflies once again. But Ellie, having gone through hell for this moment, musters up the want for revenge. It's unsatisfying, this isn't the Abby that killed Joel, or the Abby in the theater, once a lingering memory of Joel comes to Ellie, she chooses to spar Abby. Revenge was Ellie's driving force, what changed... it's not going to honor Joel or help with Ellie's trauma. It will only continue the cycle of revenge & senseless violence (sounds like the whole WLF & Seraphite story line playing as the backdrop to the exact same drama between Ellie & Abby).

If anything, The Last of Us 2 is about finding a purpose. Ellie & the prospect of the cure, later adopted by Tess, Joel "saved" Ellie who filled a Sara sized hole in his heart, Owen had the hope of the Fireflies & Santa Barbara with Mel, Yara, Lev & Abby adopting that dream. Dina had Ellie & JJ. But what did Ellie and Tommy have, after Joel's death… revenge. It consumed them to that point of self-destruction. But Ellie, letting Abby live, goes on to find her purpose (Dina & JJ).

This title was trully beautiful for me, never in my life I've felt so many emotions and cuestioned my feelings by a videogame's story and events. Most of the experiences i got like everyone else where sad/depressing/angering but this is when it shines the brightest in a world of like 95% happy endings, the freshness of its crudeness, the audacity for not being afraid to dissapoint millions so it can show its world hasn't change in the sligtest, and its the same hellhole as the first one. Joel was my favorite character like most of the people i know and still is, but the events on the character where for my taste a perfect driving point to set the story in motion, and gived the weight on all those flashbacks and motivations to the protagonist. The things people say to give it a awful scores so far are only based on ridiculous tantrums for the sake of things being the way they want, and how the game hurt their feelings and made them fell guilty and sad. Gender, Politics, etc. If All those things play an important role to what you expect from a game, please don't t play games like this, stick to games like Kirby or Pokemon so you dont get emotionally wounded,, amd keep your feelings Ok :) Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No doubt, TLOU2 will be lorded as something special and will at least be nominated for GOTY and will likely win. To be fair though it's got very little competition because 2020 as far as years go is just awful. We started the year with China swinging it's cock around and stomping all over the rights of Hong Kong, so there goes freedom for one of the biggest economic centres of the world. We spent the next 5 months of it in isolation because of this pandemic; (and if you're in the UK, you're still in lockdown... because the bastard Virus won't go away here). We've had Antifa terrorist **** smashing up and setting fire to major cities across USA and now its spreading to other countries like a virus of idiot thuggery, (no I don't care what you have to say and will block anyone who posts pro-BLM responses, take that as a preemptive **** you" to any terrorist sympathising scum who want to justify the mobs who are smashing up my city, attacking my police officers, destroying my monuments, and doing this all while there's a ****ING PANDEMIC happening. I don't want to hear your **** Got it!). The rest of the year isn't going to get any better. Most economies are in the gutter right now and honestly gaming isn't a priority. Manufacturing is at a standstill, food production is right down so countries like India, Bangladesh, China etc. are going to really feel that as food shortages become a very real crisis. The OPEC trade fallout is utterly destroying the oil prices which is basically bankrupting Russia, Canada, Norway, and the Middle-East; the true extent of this is yet to be realised and my god it's going to be bad. The stock market crash resulting from all this is going to drive us into a depression worse than even the 1929 Great Depression so expect homelessness and unemployment to sky-rocket... and all of this is happening in a USA Election Year, so when the SJWs lose to Trump again they'll almost certainly riot like the petulant children they are; rioting because they live in a country with free open elections... it's disgusting but mark my words it'll happen. (And yeah, Trump is an idiot, but Biden has the personality of old dishwater, and genuinely looks like a confused pensioner half the time. I seriously doubt he had a realistic chance of the presidency). Given all of the above, and to go back to games... what the hell does TLOU2 have as realistic competition right now. Even political outrage is unlikely to dampen it as there's far bigger things to be outraged about politically as shown above. There's almost nothing that can challenge it.

    Final Fantasy VII Remake
    Marvel's Avengers
    Cyberpunk 2077

That's literally it... that's all that's coming this year. FF7 Remake was a bait and switch that left people genuinely angry and with a sense of gaming blue-balls because it was only 1/3rd of the finished game, and it's not really a remake. It will get a few nominations at most out of auteur ego stroking necessity. Avengers looks painfully generic and will be unlikely to challenge anything for awards unless it's unusually good, like Marvel's Spiderman levels of good but moreso. That leaves Cyberpunk 2077 as the ONLY real competition, and honestly, it's just not going to have enough wide appeal to bring people in. As much as we may like it, large sprawling single player RPGs in a cyberpunk world are an extremely niche market.

Maybe there's a few that could be outside challengers. Halo Infinite, Watch_Dogs Legion, Ghost Of Tsushima; all could MAYBE get high acclaim if they actually come out this year. Doom Eternal and Resident Evil 3 MIGHT get some acknowledgement but they were generally considered let downs. Let's be honest here. TLOU2 was likely to win regardless of other games out this year. Only a Breath Of The Wild sequel would dethrone it. It could be a literal dog turd in a bag, and it'd still stand a good chance of winning, even in a good year because the system is pretty much rigged... in the uncontested **** of a year that is 2020, where most games are delayed or cancelled; it'll be almost guaranteed to win.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

The score and sound-design are on point. And the story....yeah I understand that people could not like it. But I think most of the people forget that this game is still a survival horror game. That something happens in the beginning, was hard for me to understand. But this moment showed me that this game has no plot armor. And this was very refreshing, cause no one was safe the whole further story. The only thing is that the side characters and one other important character, I couldn´t get very invested in. And that´s why for me part 2 could also be 2-3 hours shorter. But all this criticism is still on a very high level.
Naughty Dog created a very special game that is different and on a high quality budged.
For me one of the best games on this gen. Cause weeks after I´ve played it, I must still think about it, and this is something that not many games did with me.

The story has got some very strong parts but I've got a problem with the lack of choice you're being offered as a gamer. At all key moments in the story the only way to move forward is Naughty Dog's way. This makes the story completely linear. You can clearly tell some of the people making the narrative decisions have an overly strong Politically Correct/ Woke view on life and society. With other media like film it's easier to accept or just reject a certain point of view, especially if you don't appreciate the quality, style or story. I would never watch the all-female Ocean's or Ghostbuster **** shows. Mostly because the quality just isn't there.

TLOU2 is different. The story in my opinion is both hit and miss. If gamers were given choices at key moments, this game would have been a masterpiece. Despite the fact Naughty Dog has eliminated the option to choose completely the game is still very good and at times great. The very best developers like Rockstar and CD Projekt Red understand that simple yet important aspect. I think the people at Naughty Dog could have made a Masterpiece with as little as two moments where the gamer is given an essential narrative choice. Because they have failed to understand this or were to stubborn to offer the option TLOU2 has become more controversial instead of their greatest hit.

It had to muster a thought provoking emotional story that rivaled the previous game, needed graphical quality that reflected the current generation, and gameplay that built upon the already flawless crafting and gunplay that we saw before. Yes, this game has its neigh-sayers, ridiculing the writing of the story-board designers because of the murder of a beloved character, but just because your favorite character was killed, doesn't mean the game isn't good, or you can't appreciate how they were able to build on the lore of the world, create new characters that you can relate to and mourn in their passing, and excel at moving beyond this departure of the supposed glue holding the previous game together.
The LoU2 improves on it's predecessor in nearly every facet, notice I say nearly because I do want think Naughty Dog could've chopped up the story a little to make it less lengthy, but, that isn't enough for the game to receive zero's from fans on sites everywhere.
The story was amazing, playing with your emotions from the the time you pressed play to the scrawling of the credits at its conclusion. From the immense satisfaction of being back in the LoU2's world, the moments of utter dread and sadness that came at the loss of our most beloved characters, and the anger that seethed within us, as well as Ellie and Abby as they embarked on their quests for revenge. You couldn't revel for five minutes within this decaying world without feeling on edge and having the sneaking suspicion that one of your allies would bite the dust at a moments notice.
The passing of the protagonal torch from Ellie to Abby tinkers with emotions even further. You think as Ellie that you are in the right. You just trekked across the western part of the United States to seek your revenge on this mercenary party that butchered your beloved father figure, successfully perform said task, only to then change hands, see a new perspective, and realize that this world is not what it seems.
You see that the world Abby inhabited wasn't too different from Ellie's. She had friends and family that she adored, a father who was lost, and a decision fueled by revenge that she believed would "make things right". But if there is anything that this game is trying to emphasize is that revenge isn't entirely a course of action worth pursuing, and that human beings aren't as reliable as we initially think. The story blurs the line between who is truly good and evil, and emphasizes that humans are incredibly prone to mistakes and acting rashly due to fits of rage and emotionally driven agendas.
When I assumed the role of Abby I was disturbed by the fact that the characters I had killed were not mere evil-doers who deserved to get axed, but people who were a part of a loving and cohesive society just trying to live in this outbreak-stricken world. They had families, lovers, companions, just like anyone who was back in Jackson, or even Ellie herself, but due to our lack of knowledge we found ourselves rooting for someone who is clearly not on the correct side of the moral compass.
This is what I love about the LoU2. This dichotomy presented between Abby and Ellie is not drastically different as we once thought and I love that the game forces us to consider who is the faction we should showing allegiance to.
But I think there is another underlying message; that we are supposed to be combating the scourge of infected that inhabit our world rather than one another. Unify, instead of oppose one another creating bloodshed.
This point is what I think a lot of people are missing and I think its poignant that we are reintroduced to that fact at the conclusion of the game when we discover that the Fireflies are not an extinct organization like we thought. There is still a chance to beat this virus and save humanity. But I guess we'll have to wait and see for when the sequel rolls around.
Moving on from the topic of the story, the game is visually stunning and, debatably the most visually appealing game to come out this generation! The characters models are incredibly life-like, the textures and light exposure mirror reality, and dilapidated world that you are wading through is lush, green, and forgotten, adding to the magic of The Last of Us.
The combat is is crisp and fluid, every encounter with an enemy is full of grit and viscera, and you teeter between feeling like an action-movie star to a mere mortal fighting for your life. To make this combat possible you have to craft weapons, survival gear and anything else that will help you best the fungal beasts and the gun-wielding barbarians. It improves on what was in place before and then some.
To rap it up, The Last of Us Part 2 is near perfect. The story could've been tinkered to provide a swifter conclusion, but it is a worthy candidate for GOTY.

I'm 42 now, and i have been playing games since i was 14. This game has to be one of the games with the best story i have ever played. It made me think, it moved me, it managed to reach a height that few hollywood movies can match.

The tension in the game can be very high. At more than one occasion, i simply needed to take a break because my heart was racing.

This game also portrays death in a way that is never done before. Ellie clearly flinches when she cuts somebodies throat, and you actually sometimes feel sorry for your enemies. The enemies also reference each other with their name. All this adds to the grimness of the game.

Not only is the story that good, but the technical execution is simply perfect: moving from a platform to a ladder is without hassle, camera behavior will never bother you, the inventory menus are intuitive and even making some ammo in the heat of battle is a breeze.

All this combined with gorgeous graphics and sound design, and i cannot see why this game does not deserve a perfect 10.

I like this game. The graphics weren't really good, but the story is an amazing **** I play it for the second time to be able to judge everything from a different perspective and it is so difficult to play the game again. You have to kill nice people who ran into each other during the first game and it hurts .....

And what I can say is, The Last of Us 1 is a great game. Great. However, The Last of Us 2 is a game that is impossible to describe. It is a unique experience. Much better than 1 in every way. It is a brutal, credible game and brings us a reflection that I have never seen in any game, film or book. In short: this game is a masterpiece. It is the game that separates adults from children. It is a game that requires the player to have a more mature mindset. It is not a simple video game. The way the story was told is something unique. If you're reading this here and haven't played the game yet: play it, but be there and face it with an open mind and let yourself be allowed and be absolved by the narrative. I still can't get the game out of my head. It is without a doubt one of the best games I have ever played in my life. And the ending is impressive, I cried like a boy and I was bad, very bad. Best of all, it opens up infinite possibilities for The Last of Us 3. It's not just a game, it's an experience. And this is a game about "Revenge", in this game there is no justice, just like the 1, everything is a matter of perspective. Expand

I would score the game 9/10, however I have completely different view on the game. I think the strongest point of TLOU2 is the story, and ability to understand two sides of conflict. On another hand I did not like the graphic and repetitive stealth killing. Wazzup!

As a long time Naughty Dog fan I’m still blown away. This could very well be the best game I’ve ever experienced and it’s undoubtedly the best PS4 game as of yet and this is coming from someone that’s played games since the 80’s and well over 100 PS4 games to completion including all other AAA games that is considered the best of the bunch. This is a story heavy game and it’s playing with completely different questions and emotions to what you’ve normally come to expect from a game. You may not like it since it dare to challenge pretty much everything we’ve come to learn and feel up to this point in the story but it’s very difficult to question the quality of the story telling independent if you agree with the direction or not. Me personally understand and respect the choices they made and the gambling they obviously did. It’s much darker than the original The Last of Us with a lot of violence and gore but it’s also very fitting based on the revenge theme of this game. It’s not there for the sake of being there but to further explain the darkest sides of humanity. It plays and feel like a Naughty Dog game and if anything I would say it’s an improvement over last installments. The AI is the best I’ve witnessed in a video game and it’s also an excellent stealth game even judging by Metal Gear Solid standards. It’s challenging (>=Moderate) without being frustrating and I never felt I was punished by the game or suffered failures due to anything but my own mistakes. The length of the game is longer than any of the other ND games and even though I prefer shorter and tighter games I never felt that it overstayed it’s visit. I’ve read a lot of debates about pushing feminist agendas but other than that I kept away from any spoilers or in detail reviews about the game, purely to have my own experience. I don’t agree with the critique related to politics and pushing agendas and if your whole world collapses if you witness anything HBTQ related, then I just feel sorry for you and the people around your black cloud. The graphics may very well be the best that is possible to achieve with current PS hardware and the sound design and music is a triumph as well. Everything that’s created is there to support the mood they want to achieve and according to me it hit all the right strings. If possible for you, then I recommend to use headphones while playing the game. This is a pure masterpiece and it got me to review my first ever game on Metacritic. 10/10 from Sweden. Expand

Juegazo.

It's a conflicting game, that forces the player into uncomfortable situations and brutal scenes. Let's start off by saying that this game looks incredible, with environments that almost look like real life and characters where you can see distinctive hair strains, which is insane! Even small touches, like grass blowing with the wind, or how the blood from enemies mixes with water puddles, elevates this game beyond its competition. Likewise, the artwork is magnificent, striking a balance of gruesome realism with bleek environments and horrifying infected, and beautiful landscapes of grass fields and oceans, much thanks to the astonishing lighting. If we're talking presentation, music has also improved immensely from the previous game, relaxing the player in somber moments and hitting harder in intense scenes. Gameplay has also improved, with bigger levels, more weapons, more choices. New mechanics include rope swinging, wall gaps and even a jump button (!). The previously mentioned bigger levels mixed with the new mechanics makes the gameplay more complex and fun, though it could've been improved even more to blow the player away. The game also throws in dogs, that can sniff your scent and forces the player to move around in new manner, though if you really like dogs, this might take a toll on you. We're the game starts to split one's appreciation of the game is in the story. The story takes some bold and adventurous turns, making the experience harrowing and frightening at some occasions. Right from the getko, the game let's you know that it will not be like the predecessor and takes some big risks. It asks morally ambiguous questions that can make the player divided about some choices they have to make. The ending leaves a lasting impression on the player, and the more you think about it, the deeper its meanings become. The actors too do an incredible job, with standouts being reprising actors Ashley Jonson as Ellie and Troy Baker as Joel, and also newcomer Laura Bailey stealing the show as Abby. The game also makes the characters perform questionable actions and make the player experience them. The game isn't as concerned about what the player wants to do, as it is about how the characters react and behave in those situations, which makes for more claustrophobic and uncomfortable moments that don't give the player any choice, which is in this game's advantage. Where the game faults is in its pacing. The game shifts time spans very often and sometimes it can feel like a mess. Certain scenarios or time jumps occur and you wonder why that didn't happen before/after. This isn't the case for some time cuts, but one storyline in particular has this issue. It makes the enjoyment and surprises less interesting in some places. At some points the game can feel drawn out and last way too long, most notable in the middle section after the intro. Some of the new characters also feel underdeveloped. Dina is interesting as a character, but you don't learn a whole lot about her dreams and aspirations. Same goes for Jesse, who is underused and could've had some better writing in his presence. The story isn't bad, it's actually really great sometimes, it just needed some more cooking in the oven. It's also sad too see the multiplayer not returning. As all assets and development moved over to singleplayer, the online playing field got scrapped. While I think it's more important to see development improve and focus on the singleplayer, it's still disappointing to not see multiplayer included. In conclusion, The Last of Us Part II is a conflicitng experience. A lot of improvements and tweeks have been added to make the experience better, especially in gameplay and artistry, but at the same time the story is a mixed bag, with some incredible bright spots and some other spots that fall flat, due to pacing issues. Still, this is a great game that I would recommend to most people, because the experience over all is still enjoyable and fun and the discussions that can come from people talking about this game will engage people maybe even more to this game. While not as good and engaging as the first game, it still provides a lot of fun and interesting choices that will make the player question what is going to happen next and their own morales. I commend Naughty Dog for trying something new and different, even though they didn't always stick the landing. Expand

The Last of Us Part II doesn't come close to its predecessor by far, but it is still a really good game. Gameplay and quality in general is very convincing. No game has ever reached this level and even next gen games will not do so for the time being.
Yeah, the story doesn't get to part one. Yeah, the story makes mistakes. But the story is still good, especially if you get more into it.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
