    This game is 8.8/10 for me but i'm giving it a 10 to balance the score a little bit, because lots of people are here just for the meme and giving the game 0 or 1 (without even playing the game first) which this game is NOT!!!     I think it lacks humanity from it's predecessor, but I also think that was their goal with this one.
    Either way, anyone with no agenda in mind shouldn't be be disappointed with end results, because compared to some other AAA games this is still well above average. Some players are mad/sad that game didn't took the rout they were expecting and that's ok. But there is also large group of people who didn't even play the game and maybe didn't play the first one either but they are mad because story didn't fit their political narrative, which tells more about them as a persons rather than how great, good or bad this game is.
    Gameplay will be familiar to everyone who experienced ND games before. Only real problem that I had is, that I couldn't change L1 and R1 with L2 and R2 to aim and shoot. It was saying that i have one button unbound which, after I scroll all the buttons wasn't the case, so it didn't let me progress with that button layout. Still not sure is this a bug or I was doing something wrong. If it's a bug I hope they fix it before multiplayer launch.
    At the end of the day fact is that ND once again made a really good game and I hope some of you can enjoy your experience with it, regardless of background noise.    … Expand

This game is amazing to the sound to the graphics and gameplay but there is one thing I didn’t like it was playing Abby for the 2nd half of the game to me it didn’t fell like a last of us game it felt more like a days gone game to me and the end is pretty bad letting Abby live for no reason she went to Seattle To kill all of the people in that room Joel died in but she lets The person that killed Joel to live I hope they do a part 3 but you kill Abby and lev in the beginning then do whatever they make the game about… Expand

    I do think that game does not deserve this score, that it has. 90% of people never started the game. I'm playing the game, I'm enjoying it. It is not a masterpiece imo, but it is not 4.8

I haven't finished the game yet (precisely because I like to enjoy it gradually) but I already understand the impact that was caused to me and the mark that will be left, not only on me but also in the world of games, taking into account that the first game is one of my favorites and one of the best I've ever experienced in my life, and against all false criticism and trolling reviews, I can say for certain that in relation to The Last of Us 2 it WILL NOT BE different. In the technical aspect, Naughty Dog managed to overcome itself again, reusing and improving the same mechanics of the first game, which by themselves were already considered incredible even after the remastering. Regarding the plot, I believe it is not surprising that the game takes a totally different direction compared to the first, since it was a love story, and that now it takes a revenge approach, and that approval or disapproval is essentially subjective, but no degree of dissatisfaction would justify so much hatred, prejudice and boycotting the merits of the game, which ironically will only contribute to The Last of Us 2 being a milestone in the history of games (for better or for worse). In protest of the bombing "reviews", I will personally hope that the game wins GOTY.… Expand

    Only 3 months ago I played bought the last of us part 1,i blown away with the story graphics which was made 7 years back may be 10 years. I love to play part 2 as I already playing it, as far it is good & am loving it.

    Después de varias horas, varios días, logré terminar un juego que esperé años y generó expectativas altísimas, no tan solo para mí, sino que, más bien, para todos. Hoy, puedo decir orgullosa y feliz, dentro de lo rota que estoy, que estoy satisfecha con el resultado, con la historia y gran trabajo que nos entregaron, que, a mi parecer, perfectamente se podría calificar como obra maestra.Después de varias horas, varios días, logré terminar un juego que esperé años y generó expectativas altísimas, no tan solo para mí, sino que, más bien, para todos. Hoy, puedo decir orgullosa y feliz, dentro de lo rota que estoy, que estoy satisfecha con el resultado, con la historia y gran trabajo que nos entregaron, que, a mi parecer, perfectamente se podría calificar como obra maestra. He leído atenta todas las críticas que surgieron desde las primeras horas del juego y, claramente los personajes y la historia, el final por supuesto, es lo más odiado. Creo que cuando te tomas el tiempo de realmente jugar The Last of Us II, y hago hincapié en el hecho de tomarse el tiempo para hacerlo, porque la experiencia y todo el juego en sí está diseñado para que te sumerjas en el mundo de los personajes, para que los comprendas, para que pienses en sus motivaciones y acciones, se te hace imposible el hecho de no poder quedar destrozado con el final, no en el mal sentido, sino que, terminas cuestionando todo, tratando de comprender todo, emocionado probablemente hasta las lágrimas. En síntesis, en mi opinión, la historia fue bestial, consecuente, porque después de todo, nosotros y nuestras motivaciones suelen ser inconsecuentes, y creo que, aquí es donde se marca una brecha gigante con la primera entrega, donde teníamos una historia que si, nos tocaba, pero por la singuralidad de la situación, porque eran cosas que tan solo le estaban pasando a los protagonistas, y creo que, el cambio que se produjo en el enfoque de la segunda es lo que me pareció tan doloroso, tan conmovedor, porque nos enfrenta a sentimientos con los que nos podemos identificar, amplificando el sentimiento de inmersión. En cuanto a toda la mecánica tras el juego, se mantiene la esencia absoluta de The Last of Us, la supervivencia, la escasez de recursos, el temor por ser detectado, todo, pero, con características mejoradas, a gran detalle y que resultan brutales para toda la experiencia. Juro que enfrentarse a alguien en combate cuerpo a cuerpo es una experiencia que te deja los pelos de punta. Aún así, mantiene ciertas carencias que vienen desde el primer TLOU, como por ejemplo, lo poco realista del uso de suplementos para adquirir ciertas habilidades, pero, fuera de eso, el avance es maravilloso,es arte puro.     Noch etwas zu dem stupiden Review-Bombing sogannter "Gamer" hier: ich gehe stark davon aus, dass die Masse an den Leuten das Spiel nicht einmal gespielt hat und sich von unwahren/halbgaren Leaks (wieso lest ihr das überhaupt? selbst Schuld!) beeinflussen ließen, die einfach dem Spiel nicht gerecht werden...und dabei rede ich noch nicht einmal von den "harten" Fällen von homophoben und rechten Gedankengut, was hier verbreitet wird. Das zeigt, dass in der Gesellschaft viele tief verwurzelte Probleme stecken voller Intoleranz, Rassismus und vorallem Unwissenheit. Sehr traurig.

    @Metacritic: auch für sogenannter "User" sollten nachweisliche Bestätigungen vorliegen, dass der Reviewer das Spiel auch gespielt hat. Dieses Review-Bombing muss enden!    … Expand

    Simplemente es un juego que vas a disfrutar es mucha la diferencia de verlo y jugarlo, en el juego podrás pasar horas jugando y ni te darías cuenta, los gráficos simplemente son geniales, es lo máximo ya es el techo de la ps4, historia a pesar del virus es lo más realista posible.     El juego te mantiene en suspenso en cada momento y teniendo en cuenta que es un juego muy largo tiene gran mérito y su apartado técnico es sublime lo más impresionante que hay en ps4 en general el juego brilla en cada uno de sus aspectos y cada persona tendrá una opinión diferente pero para mi es de 10 un juego excepcional

    For me Joel would never die in another circumstances. He sacrificed ENOUGH in previous part to make his death another drama. Its hard but realistic.

    Me sorprende mucho todo el trabajo hecho por ND cada detalle incluso en cosas que no eran ni necesarias, la gente se queja de cosas absurdas primero que nada han jugado al juego has prestado atención a su historia, se quejan de que no tiene nada que ver con el original pero al contrario a lo largo verás en flashbacks como la relación de ellie y Joel se mantiene aunque ya no es la misma, teMe sorprende mucho todo el trabajo hecho por ND cada detalle incluso en cosas que no eran ni necesarias, la gente se queja de cosas absurdas primero que nada han jugado al juego has prestado atención a su historia, se quejan de que no tiene nada que ver con el original pero al contrario a lo largo verás en flashbacks como la relación de ellie y Joel se mantiene aunque ya no es la misma, te demuestran como ellie ve las consecuencias de los actos de Joel desde su punto de vista y de como lo ve Abby desde su punto de vista ya que a diferencia del primero esto no es viaje donde te narra la historia de como se vuelven padre e hija si no de como es la desesperación de ellie por por vengar a Joel a pesar de sus acciones pasadas… Expand

El juego en lo personal, me encantó, los gráficos, la sangre y heridas de los personajes, la nieve, etc. Su jugabilidad, el poder contraatacar o esquivar los golpes de los enemigos e incluso el poder usar a dos personajes como es el caso de Abby y Ellie y poder ver los diferentes puntos de vista que tenían las dos en esta historia, la historia me parecio buena e incluso algo interesante porque se asemeja más a la realidad y nos trata de dar a entender los diferentes puntos de vista de las personas en un apocalipsis, el perder un familiar, el tener que matar a personas por solo sobrevivir y sobre todo el hecho de que los protagonistas o al menos las personas en los juegos no son inmortales, cada personaje tiene que tener un fin en las historias ya sea trajica o no su muerte, en fin, el final del juego me dejó varias incógnitas, no niego que el juego si me disgusto un poco en el final pero aún así creo que es el final adecuado para esta entrega.… Expand

Seguir manteniendo el mismo punch con la historia era complicado, y es cierto que la historia no llega a tener tanta fuerza, pero aun así sigue siendo una obra de arte. La IA de los enemigos no es del todo lo que me esperaba y veo demasiados parecidos con el último Uncharted, como el hecho de ir con un acompañanteObra maestra, criticarla es no saber apreciar este tipo de videojuegos. Seguir manteniendo el mismo punch con la historia era complicado, y es cierto que la historia no llega a tener tanta fuerza, pero aun así sigue siendo una obra de arte. La IA de los enemigos no es del todo lo que me esperaba y veo demasiados parecidos con el último Uncharted, como el hecho de ir con un acompañante continuamente y que no sea detectable ante los enemigos, lo que provoca situaciones ridículas. Además el hecho de ir acompañado continuamente generan diálogos absurdos y vacíos que lo único que consiguen es desvirtuar la trama, desvirtuar a Ellie y desvirtuar esa ardua venganza.

    Creo que la historia podía haber sido mucho más, pero lo estoy disfrutando como nunca. Juegos así exiten 3-4 en cada generación de consolas y es lo que hay que valorar. Larga vida a LOU y larga vida a Joel.    … Expand

    This game is a true masterpiece. Plot is really hard and it makes you empty inside in a final. How many emotions I got in this game, just a WOW. I wanna say "thank you" to the ND. And sure, no discussion about gameplay and graphics. Just a 12/10.

    The Last of Us 2 is without a doubt one of, if not, the greatest games of all time. I’ve taken time to read some of the negative reviews posted on this platform and not to discredit anyone else’s opinion as it is entirely their own - however many of the comments are nonsensical.

    The game plays beautifully, with improved mechanics from the predecessor and some obviously well thought out    The Last of Us 2 is without a doubt one of, if not, the greatest games of all time. I’ve taken time to read some of the negative reviews posted on this platform and not to discredit anyone else’s opinion as it is entirely their own - however many of the comments are nonsensical.

    The game plays beautifully, with improved mechanics from the predecessor and some obviously well thought out new ideas added to the mix as well. In the moments where it feels as though you are repeating a sequence from the first game, I saw these as developer nods to long time fans. From the 30+ hour play through I was never once bored or felt as though I was in a repetitive loop.

    Now on to the story...

    No game, film, tv series or any media on any medium has taken me on an emotional roller coaster like this game does. From heart wrenching devastation, to uplifting humour all the way to eager excitement that kept me up to 2am on more than one occasion. Those looking for a colour by numbers story where good and evil are clearly defined and you’re told who to support should look elsewhere. This game above anything else is about the human experience, what trauma does to shape us, how perspective changes perception and so many more themes I could write more on. What’s worth mentioning though is the theme of cost. What all of our actions cost us and cost others is a huge theme of this game and I promise these moments will reverberate through you as you play.

    If you haven’t bought this game because you’re unsure of what to expect based on negative user reviews, do yourself a favour and get it, play it and make your own mind up.

Probably the most beautifull game i ever looked at in my entire life of playing video games also the AI of the game was really really smart i have not played a game that ist AI is smarter than the last of us 2 and trust me i have played a lof of games.And seeing people rate this game 0 1 2 3 and even 4 is very disrespectful to me for all the years of work they put on this game. I didn't like all the new characters but Abby Lev and Dina where amazing and the very last cutsene where Ellie walks away from the farm it made me burst into tears.This game was a **** masterpiece i could rate it 100/10 if i could.     First off everyone is review bombing this game. There is a lot of anger out there and we all know why.

    I admit I was one of those angry people. I saw the leaks and I was upset. I was made that a game I loved so much with characters I had grown so attached to was taken in the direction it was taken in. I wasn't gonna play it- I was 100% out. I work for a review company and I had the chance to be part of the review team and bowed out. Then suddenly thanks to a last-minute change I found myself playing this game.

    I went into it wanting to hate it. I wanted to hate the choice they made. But after beating it- I don't. It is a good game. While I still don't like some of the decisions and while I will always dislike many of the characters I still think this is a really solid game.

    1. I know you're upset over what happened. It works though- it works well enough. It does not make the game worse and it honestly works fine
    2. Even after knowing the leaks I was surprised A LOT. There is a lot packed in here and its great
    3. The story is risky. I think that it's far to dour. I love dark games, I love anything gritty. Real-life is not a nice place and I love media that reflects that. This game is WAY over the top. It's far darker than it should be and its far darker than our reality- or a Zombie reality would ever be. It reflects more on what Naughty Dog thinks of us than on reality itself.
    4. The combat is great. It is ultra-intense, in your face, and violent. You feel every punch and shot and it is jarring and engrossing. It similar to TLOU1 but far more visceral and intense. It really is a strong point here
    5. Graphically it is by far and away the best-looking game of this generation. Even RDR2 is outdone by this masterpiece of graphical design.
    6. There are many features and additions that make traversal and movement better. TLOU1 felt like a game- with very strict constraints. TLOU2 feels more lose and free, and it all feels more natural.
    7. Its engorssing and it's fun. It hooked me and kept me glued in for the entire run time.

    It's not perfect though.
    -I would have preferred you play as one character rather than more
    -I dislike the choices many of the characters make
    -There is no character growth or change... well there kinda is but its not great
    -The themes are basically "humans are violent and suck- and you all suck". I am not sure that is very interesting, deep, or necessary- its also wrong. We are living through tough times right now and people have shown they are capable of good as much as evil
    -The writing is far too dour. There are no smiles, no respites, no moments of joy. Its just a slog of nasty hatred

    The biggest flaw of this game is Naughty Dog themselves. I love their past games I am mad at myself for not giving them the benefit of the doubt considering they are batting close to 1000. But recently, or at least since Uncharted 4, they have taken a really "woke" political stance. They don't include female protagonists (only women- no men- for all of their series) because that makes the story better, they do it because they want to display their own virtue as a progressive company.

    I am 100% fine with a company taking a political stance. I am fine with an artistic company taking a political stance. I am not ok with a company putting their politics above making good art, and that happened here.

    The themes are basically "humans are evil and rotten" and they bash you over the head with that. Its more specifically "you are evil and rotten as a human". The characters make strange decisions and never learn anything. This is strange for Naughty Dog who are usually masterful storytellers than show growth and change in an organic and interesting way.

    The reason why this story is worse is because Naughty Dog was more worried about pushing their theme and narrative than making a good game. The top priority was cleary "send this message" and not "tell a good story".

    If the goal was a good story first and foremost than the game would be different.

    But it is not a bad game- it is a great game by any standard. But it is Naughty Dogs worse game and its because they allowed their own views of humanity and their own desire to lecture and chastise us come before making the best game they could.    … Expand

    Just finished the story and gotta sat that it totally wasn’t what I was expecting, but nevertheless one of the most emotional narrative I’ve ever experienced. Art direction, animation and especially sound design is top notch, on par with, if not better than RDR2.

And CPR would fail for the hype, so I cannot say anything from it... But this game was WOOOOW and I wish I could play with games like this every year. :)

    Excellent game. The story gripped me. Lots of gritty realism with no holds barred. The negative reviews are unfounded and the result of snowflakes who are unable to deal with death or mature themes.

    This game deserves all the perfect rating. Don't be fooled of haters who loves Cinderella stories. Just because they didn't like what they saw on the leak they spammed reviews without playing the game. The game is absolutely amazing. 10/10

    Its just an interesting game on my part, it let's you know in the world we living, even heroes die, just like in game of thrones. So however painful your favourite characters killed off are, you can use that to judge a game, but it is what it is. P.S: Majority of those posting up here haven't even played a quarter of the game before the posted on here. It's just sad.

But its obviously been downvoted by haters for two reasons: sjw themes and Joel's death. And its really sad and shiws how gamers are not yet ready for serious narrative and adult themes. You remember how the first game mafe you feel? It wasnt about having fun journey like Uncharted. It was about emotional weight. And now ev everybody acting like ND betrayed them by taking away Joel, not allowing them to once again witness another journey by Joel and Ellie, than same thing in tlou 3, then in tlou 4... All people want is another series of adventures , not the game that that will impact you deeply, not art... Oh, and many peoole still judging the game by leaks, even tho many if them created the wrong picture of what's really going on in the game. And even if you are so offended by the story (which is your problem, not developer's), the game is undeniably great in every other aspect: gameplay, graphics, design, sound, everything. The gameplay is excellent with engaging combat, stealth and downtime. The acting is superb, Troy Baker, Ashley Jonson And Laura Bailey are fantastic in their roles. The levels and environments are wonderfully designed and visually fantastic. Some story details aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and are a little sloppy/ lazy, however I think they are explained well once the game is played through and finished. Overall I’d rate the last of us part 2 a strong 8.5-9. I only wish that bratty gamers hadn’t got up in arms about the inclusion of diverse and realistic people, such as a trans character, or a muscular woman. In my opinion, the game does not pander you SJW as many suggest, but includes realistic looking characters and themes which don’t just go away because of the threat of zombies. If you want to play this game, and can look past the seemingly unacceptable inclusion of minority characters, then I would highly recommend. Those who are easily offended by people who aren’t straight white men or unrealistically rendered woman with boobs bigger than their brains then avoid it and try not to spoil it for others.… Expand

Just watched a few reviews on YouTube, saw the leaks a while back and decided, not for me and im gonna make sure this bombs. Sad really. The feeling of revenge that occurs in you, to later become shame is an unforgettable feeling, and reader, I ask you to give it an invariable attempt. At first I was dreading playing her for killing Joel but as I did so I fell for her as a character. Both Ellie and Abby have a problem of revenge as that is the main driving force for these two and really shows the downfall of suck beliefs in both of them.… Expand
