    The game delivers a stunning spin to TLOU franchise and displays an amazing graphical step-up from the last game as well as new releases, providing an almost picture realistic quality (truly one of the things that blew my mind while playing the game). It really attempts to immerse you into a real life scenario and make you fell as if you are present at that location. Gameplay wise, the mechanics are quite similar to it's predecessing game and offers an improved aspect to it's game quality, providing an initial similarity to how the game mechanics work. I'm my opinion this was an adequate measure to make it a more gamer friendly system. In terms of the story, this review would have gotten a 10/10 if some elements of the story weren't so choppy, messy or rushed. In the first half of the game, I found it to be quite good honestly apart from earlier events that shaped the basis of this 'John wick' story concept of getting revenge and personally, I quite enjoyed this. It was still ok during the second half to me although it caused a somewhat controversial perspective to the game but it was only during the end of the game that I thought the game was becoming a bit too choppy and rushed. Other then this mishap, I personally found the game to be quite good!… Expand

    Ótimo jogo, história muito bem construída com construções ótimas de personagens.
    Pecou em apenas 1 momento marcante para mim (que sim, era muito marcante para a história de TLOU) , mas acabei relevando pela ótima experiência.

    La verdad la pase muy bien jugandolo, todo lo que tiene que ver con el apartado técnico es un trabajo surrealista, solamente por eso no le pondré una nota negativa, pero la historia si que deja mucho que desear, Neil druckman te quedo grande tu propio proyecto, una lastima!

    Brave Story telling, incredible graphics and really fun game mechanics. Good value for money also with first play through taking around 25 hours and i will definitely be going back in for more on higher difficulty and finding all the collectables

    The Last of Us was arguably the best game of the previous generation. So it's no wonder the reaction to this game has been so strong. The first game was a tough act to follow, but i personally believe that this is a strong follow-up and not the disaster that it has been made out to be.

    The Last of Us part 2 is a gruelling game. It throws you through the emotional ringer time after time,    The Last of Us was arguably the best game of the previous generation. So it's no wonder the reaction to this game has been so strong. The first game was a tough act to follow, but i personally believe that this is a strong follow-up and not the disaster that it has been made out to be.

    The Last of Us part 2 is a gruelling game. It throws you through the emotional ringer time after time, and can at time be a little exhausting. It's perhaps a little overlong. But overall, i think the messages within are justified. The story is well-written. A simple revenge tale told well. I won't reveal it's multiple twists and turns (although i'm pretty sure the entire world knows them by now) but by and large it's a compelling experience. The graphics are what you expect from a Naughty Dog release and are incredible, easily the best of the generation. My only issue with the visuals are more often than not you're forced into dark spaces where it can be difficult to navigate. I had to adjust my settings away from the recommended brightness just to navigate a couple of sequences.

    Overall i think the narrative beats are welcome, and although i loved both games i hope this is the last foray in the world of the last of us, as i don't think the world will ever be ready for a continuation on Ellie's journey. Great game which, i will no doubt play again at some point in the future! Highly recomended!    … Expand

Если после первой части игры, я концовку перепроходил несколько раз и меня каждый раз вызывало это эмоции вновь и вновь, то здесь не так. Она просто есть, будто 5 серия какого сериала закончилась и ждите продолжение на следующий недели. А это финал 25 часов игры в которой только и потеешь и сопереживаешь.     If you want a sequel to be like the previous (admittably amazing) installment, play Uncharted. If you want the same game but new, play Halo or Call of Duty. But if you're looking for a new experience, a different take on your usual story, then much like the first The Last Of Us, this is the game for you.

    Don't expect to love it like you did the first one, it's a different game. The former is a simple story. Yes it was amazingly written, directed and visualised but it didn't require much thought.

    This one, however, isn't simple. It has a simple premise (get revenge) but there's many more layers to this that you have to understand; you should be putting your thinking glasses on.

    I finished the game and I didn't love it at first: though I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a lot of fun playing it, it took me some time to fully grow to love it as I do now and this seems to be the case with most ppl. After reflecting on it, you can come to like it, if not love it (the story and it's characters).    … Expand

Todo el Drama por este juego, el caos, la crítica absurda me dio miedo al momento de iniciar, los primeros minutos son duros, en cuanto a la historia, matar al personaje principal no es cosa fácil (personalmente) hubiera preferido buna muerte más digna pero va de acuerdo a la Historia, las únicas partes que en verdad no me gustaron son cuando controlas a Abby, que conoces su parte de la historia (yo se que es para demostrar los errores al matar a personas) se vuelve tediosa y al final no te termina importando, se vuelve tedioso, la escena de la isla con todo en llamas es de un shooter genérico en 3era persona, y la pelea con Ellie controlando a Abby, obviamente no quiero lastimar a Ellie, pero te obligan, la muerte de Jesse sin sentimiento repentina, pero es un final admirable, que te deja una moraleja, lo disfruté y lo seguiré jugando, Gracias Naughty Dog, un excelente juego… Expand

As someone who didnt read up on or see the leaks, I may have played the game with a more objective outlook than many others. I actually thought that Joels death, though brutal and depressing, made a lot of sense story-wise, and obviously drove the narrative of the game. I thought the graphics were strong, the gameplay was suitable, and the story, though not as good as the first, was still engaging/emotional. This game, like all, has its flaws. I dont consider it "near perfect" like most of the reviewers did, but it is ridiculous that the game has gotten so many 0,1,2,3/10 ratings. Either way, it is a solid game that has been dragged through the mud by a LARGE group of Haters with a BS agenda.… Expand

Графика лучшая что сможет вытянуть пс 4, лвл дизайн на вышем уровне, все интуитивно понятно, я проходил ее 29 часов и 36 минут и на предмаксимальной сложности, мне не было лень лишний раз проверить уголок в надежде получить какой нибудь ресурс или карточку, она меня оставила под диким впечетлением, всем советую ееИгра огонь, здесь хорошо почти все, а над финалом я до сих пор раздумываю.     A beautiful and infinitely more ambitious sequel. Gameplay is fine tuned and satisfying, whereas the story is expanded and taking a lot more risks - but thankfully they stick the landing beautifully.

In the first game joel waking up because of bad dream in this game the first scene with abby is she is waking up of bad dream then after she killed joel she keeps getting nightmare but at one point she gets a bad dream of lev and yara hanging so she thinks i can save them its not like my father I couldn’t save him after she saves them she is having a peaceful dream opening the door seeing his dad healthy and not dead on the ground and the she wakes up peacefully not scared and in the end Ellie keeps getting STD… Expand

    I loved the first one, part one is one of my all time favorite games and the second one did not disappoint. Despite what other critics might say the game is honesty better then the first one in every way i can think of, from gun customization to opening locked rooms and obviously most importantly combat as well but above all of that it had a great story from start to finish. Despite what many people say, the game in fact does intricatly create a relationship with Abby that helps us feel for her just as much, if not more in some cases, as Ellie. Perspective is an easy thing to forget in the game and in real life, and this game shows that nobody is a cut and dry "bad guy", nor are they a good one.     First I was a little concerned about all this **** storm around this game, but at the end I can say that it was just a bull****. The game is good, the narrative is brilliant.

    It is a new level for the games to talk to the players, so it possible takes some time to people to start listening.

    Great action , very grounded and focused, the story is great even though I don't respect some of the things they condone but is uncomfortable and unsettling to play through but at the same time being fun. Not many games can do that .

    A game like this able to split that much the audience, it's not so common in gaming indutry(the last one i think was Death Stranding, but not for the same reasons).

    However, even if i can understand why some people don't like it, it's exactly what the game is looking for with the topic of his story.     It does'nt change that the overall quality of the game is very good, not perfect, but this is a game where you feel all the effort and time put into details, a good level design, a classic but efficient gameplay, and gorgeous graphics.

    However, some part of the game seemed for me too long without being very interesting. The is more a problem of rythm. The game is very long, but to be fair the biggest part is ok.

    And yes you can find some "feminism or lgbt stuff" in background, but honestly it does'nt feel like propaganda you should not even pay attention to it because this is not what the story is about anyway, and it just melt in this world naturally, so there is nothing shocking with that choice.

    I have played Lost of Us 1 a long time ago, i never became a fan of the game despite i liked it, so maybe my reaction will be more moderate than someone that is passionate about the characters.

    Anyway, LOTU part II is still for me a very good game, with very good storytelling, and taking some risk. Of course some people will not like some choice, they will hate some characters, and it's part of what the writters are looking for. And everything, if it's not perfect, is well crafted to serve a purpose..    … Expand

No, you don't always have a choice to save everyone and do the right thing. You have to enter fights you are hating, but it shows you the side of antagonist and protagonists. If you can accept Joel's death and open yourself to the direction this game goes with its story, then you will find a genuinely incredible story. If you cannot forgive Abby for killing Joel and want nothing but to see this great new character suffer. Without caring about her very valid reasons for doing everything that she does, and want nothing but a simple revenge story in which person A kills someone close to person B. Person B then hunts person A and kills her and gets revenge, The End. Then i'm afraid you will not find that here. I am someone who was perfectly open to whatever the game threw at me, and i was surprised to find a hugely compelling story, with great characters both old and new, great atmosphere, incredible world design. etc. Overall i do not think this game is a masterpiece. then again i do NOT think that the first game is a masterpiece either. i personally believe after playing both games back to back. that the second game felt like such a natural continuation, and so for that reason i think that this game The Last of Us part 2 is easily as good as the first game, which i would also give a 9. Both games played back to back make for one fantastic continuous story.… Expand

Joel’s death in the first 2 HOURS of gameplay was a ridiculously poor choice on naughty dogs end but I think it ultimately strengthens Ellie’s character much more ( btw she is a great character on her own ). Actual gameplay and visuals were absolutely phenomenal as well as the scenery, the only downside for me is the characters/character development. I think the whole switching to abby half way through the game is a very clever idea and it would help us sympathize with her more if her and her friends were interesting. I don’t get how we’re supposed to agree with a girl who just killed one of the most beloved characters in history whom which we’ve played an entire game with, all because we played 10 minutes with her and her dad. Maybe naughty dog didn’t want us to sympathize with abby but just understand where she’s coming from in which I do but her and her dads story do not hold a candle to Ellie and Joel’s. Also this is undoubtedly a trilogy, the ending sets us perfectly up for a 3rd game so let’s hope naughty dog gets their **** together.… Expand

I think that it was a powerful and grounded game. It delves into consequences of actions, and sometimes the smallest decision can have the worst consequence. This is a world with no laws or rules to hold people accountable. Justice can be sought out by anyone, but justice also varies based on the perspective. And that is what this game shows.
    I loved getting to see how Abby and Ellie's paths affected each other. I thought it was heartbreaking when I knew Abby was seeing one of her friends for the last time, and that really made me think about how willing I was to hit the square button while playing as Ellie. When I began playing as Abby, I didn't like her, I didn't like what she did, and they make really you take over at a very tense moment. But the longer I played as her, the more I felt bad for her. Although, I still didn't enjoy fighting Ellie as Abby, and it was a hard fight too (proud of Ellie for that).
    The attention to detail in this game was absolutely amazing. You can really see the time and effort that was put into it. The gameplay was fun, and using stealth and the tools on hand to take out large groups of enemies was a rush. The dodge button and the jump button were so useful as there were countless times I found myself using them even when it wasn't necessary because they were such a great addition to the gameplay.
    While I still don't know how I feel about the ending, I have to admit, this was a beautifully done game with a powerful story.    … Expand

    Although there are minor issues, nobody can ignore the achievements of this game and its effects on the video games industry. From a technical perspective, The Last of Us Part II is breathtaking.

    Please remember we need to hear this kind of story, however, it is not impeccable, however, it is bitter.

You also shouldn't play it if you haven't played the first game.

    This is easily one of the best games I've ever played, if not the best. I've played many of the PS4 exclusives and is why I bought the console to begin with. I've played God of War twice through and played The Last of Us Remastered twice through as well. It's better than the first, builds on everything and all of the tension that was created in The Last of Us to a masterful and incredibly emotional story. I created an account just to write this because the game was an experience and was catharsis for me.

    There's human elements that it plays on throughout the game that are metaphoric about choice and what it means to take choices away from someone, the damage it does, and the chaos, heartbreak, love, violence, and domino effect things can have when it is done. The mental disturbance and lack of mental health that can be created when someone takes away your choice or your ability to decide things for yourself is ever present in Ellie and is shown in glimpses throughout the game all the way to the end.

    Abby's father took away Ellie's choice and made the decision to sacrifice her for the greater good of a supposed vaccine and science for the remaining human populace. Joel, who is no doubt her father figure, even though neither expressly state it out loud, was not given time to process the decision of doctors taking Ellie's life in hopes to benefit the greater good. So the ending of the first game unfolded the way that it did with Joel killing all of the FEDRA officers and doctors to break her out, then lying to Ellie because he loves her and cares for her deeply. That is clear through the acts in the first game and everything shown in the second. It's clear he sees her as the daughter he lost and that Ellie eventually does see him as a father. The emotional bond that is shown through these characters brought me to tears several times in this game.

    It was fairly obvious that Joel had killed somebody important to Abby but that doesn't take away from the story and it does help build it. Only later you find out that it was her father that Joel killed to get Ellie off the operating table. Abby's father was prepared to fight for Ellie's sacrifice, as shown in flashbacks when he grabs a scalpel and gets into a battle stance. The elephant in the room and the question not fully addressed, is why Abby's father didn't think there could possibly be more than 1 immune person out there. He is built up as this Firefly legend who is the only surgeon that could've created a vaccine against the virus. No one else could've done it, there is no other immune person out there, and once he was killed, the entire Firefly coalition dissolved and lost all hope for a cure. That's quite a stretch BUT it still worked. This was in the back of my mind but didn't ruin anything for me with the game.

    The story works, the game play is fantastic, the dual-play with Ellie, then Abby to go through the 3 days in Seattle is sublime and I wasn't expecting it. The flashbacks are also amazing and fun to watch/play. I had to take a breath and a break when I realized I would be placed in Abby's shoes for Day 1, 2, then 3. The empathy they created by doing this was an obvious ploy to your emotions as the game player BUT it still worked. I'll admit I didn't enjoy trying to kill Ellie in the theater and it felt weird but the game wasn't over at the point, there was still story and game play left, so who cares?

    A wrinkle in the game I thought they were going to drop was that Lev was immune and that when Abby was searching for a gas mask for him on Day 2 this was clever foreshadowing that it didn't matter to him. This never happened but discovering another immune person would create a fold of drama that resolved that lingering question in the back of my mind. But then that would swing too much empathy back toward Ellie. I digress.

    I've heard some people say this game ruined Ellie as a character for them because of her thirst for vengeance/revenge. To me, to say it's a basic revenge plot is too simple and the game and cinematics do not portray that. Ellie is very clearly suffering from mental health episodes, through her journal entries (if you read them), to her flashbacks, to her nightmare episode from simply knocking over a shovel toward the end of the game. It's very probable she has PTSD.

    Anyway, this game is an interactive masterpiece and try not to rush through it. It's amazing and a shame that people came on here in droves to give it a 0 rating to try and cancel the game. Truly sad. 10/10    … Expand

After watching many critical reviews and over 130+ worth of gameplay I am confident to say this game deserves a solid 9. Many point out plot holes in the game that could justifly be proven wrong. Many would say Joel death was all for nothing and Ellie gain nothing... but I disagree. Ellie towards the end regain humanity by saving Abby and peace within herself by having closure with Joel. I love that. Only criticism I have of the game is the love triangle Naughty Dawg tried to push with both characters (Abby and Ellie). Besides that I truly did enjoy this game.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, as we all know, this tail starts with an emotionally devastating and more or less irreverent blow to our much beloved anti-hero, Joel. This was horrifically painful to experience and immediately filled me with a rage that I wasn’t aware I was capable of. I tore through Seattle, marveling at its scenery and incredible graphic dynamics, but sparing no one. Mercy was not an act I cared to Provide. Not to one single soul- even to the point of killing Mel- I thought, **** that baby, but good! **** deserves it!” The next thing we know things have taken a light turn, everyone is semi-jovial and we are returning to Jackson. But then Abby is there and she kills Jesse and my ears are ringing with rage again. And then, perhaps most jarring of all, we cut to abby’s story- how they are connected. How Joel murdered her father for Ellie. How hurt and alone she felt. I didn’t want it. I wanted to hate her. But her story, it felt familiar, see, as it unraveled, I realized, her story was a foil for the story of Ellie and Joel in the first game. She grew as a person you as her story unraveled, she started out hating scars, but learned to love some of the aspects of their beliefs and two of their apostates. She risks life and limb to save them, in what starts out essentially as a blood debt but later becomes caring. You see her struggle to save lev from himself. And then it culminates in a David-esque battle ala part 1, versus Ellie. And the entire time you’re torn, you’re certain no matter how this goes, you will be crying. Abby suddenly has Dina, ready to kill her, when lev stops her- she realizes the truth: violence begets violence- and lets them go. You cut to a scene, a surreal scene that was foreshadowed in early conversations between Dina and Ellie on day one of Seattle, that is so beautiful and idyllic, you can’t imagine anything better, but you also see Ellie struggling- she’s a shell of a person, recalling only the trauma she experienced with Joel’s demise. And she decides to risk it all to go after Abby again. You feel so conflicted through these battles, why are we even doing this? This is stupid, why are you risking everything, you’re both hurt, let it go! But it culminated in the most heart-stopping, pain inducing battle ever, you are literally fighting two parts of yourself. When Ellie stops herself from killing Abby, you are left feeling so relieved it’s hard to wrap your head around all your feelings. You see that she literally lost everything in her pursuit of “justice.” Was it worth it? This tale made me dig deeper than any tale before it, it made me really work through my us vs them mentality. And that made the difficulty all the more challenging. I cannot wait to see a sequel- I have to know what happens next. And if you failed to see the artistry in what was done with this game, perhaps you’re looking at the wrong source for your discontent with it- perhaps you should be looking at yourself. It’s not all roses and sunshine, I will acknowledge killing/facing the dogs was super rough, and the transition was incredibly jarring, but beyond that, I can’t not give this game top marks.… Expand

Após a segunda metade o jogo começa a mostrar outra visão sobre os personagens em um mundo pós apocalíptico. O diretor mostra perfeitamente esses dois lados.     Played the game from start to finish and I can say without a doubt that it was time and money well spent.
    The time and effort used to create this game is visible in each detail, the story is very well crafted and was bound to ruffle some feathers, after all, most gamers nowadays are used to the black and white, good vs evil storytelling and we are far from that in here.

    The graphics are superb and animation transitions were extremely real. During my playthrough I didn't experience any glitches or gaming breaking bugs, the only thing that bothered me were the checkpoints during encounters, the game creates a checkpoint after each enemy kill, probably for those who want to go on without challenges. Later in the game I found the option to restart the entire encounter which in my opinion should be displayed more prominently. The frame-rate is solid on the Playstation Pro, although I wish there was the option for 1080p60fps which would benefit the graphics by an immense amount.
    Even though there were roughly 25 hours of content, I wished for more.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
