    There are VERY few games that make you feel strong emotional responses to their story and gameplay, good or bad. And The Last of Us 2 is the pinnacle of the current generation of games. If you want an indepth review, there are plenty you can look up. But what i'll tell you is that those are review bombing this game due to the sexual orientation of characters and the twists.... they are out of their minds, and likely have not completed this 24 - 40 hour game. The game isn't entirely perfect, and no game truly is. However this does not detract from the absolutely stunning experience.

    I enjoyed every aspect of The Last of Us Part 2.
    Gameplay and graphics are top notch, Naughty Dog at peak performance. The story is a brutal and unforgiving journey, splintering the relationships and people we meet and the people we loved from Part 1. After finishing Part 1, I did not need a Part 2. After finishing Part 2, I desperately want a Part 3.

    Naughty Dog took big risks, but it pays off. I loved everything about this game. The gameplay is way better than the first game and combat really feels brutal, gore, visceral, the world is beautiful and a lot bigger, level design is great and make each encounter feel different on a second playthrough. Sound design is perfect, just as the acting, definitely the best I’ve seen in a videoNaughty Dog took big risks, but it pays off. I loved everything about this game.     TLOU2 is nothing more then a true masterpiece that transcends the gaming mainstream and is able to elevate the whole medium to new heights. This doesn't mean that this game is always enjoyable. It is a gruesome and realistic story that plays with the gamers emotions and his stereotypical ideals, while teaching important lessons. For some people this artisticly handcrafted and complexTLOU2 is nothing more then a true masterpiece that transcends the gaming mainstream and is able to elevate the whole medium to new heights. This doesn't mean that this game is always enjoyable. It is a gruesome and realistic story that plays with the gamers emotions and his stereotypical ideals, while teaching important lessons. For some people this artisticly handcrafted and complex story could be too much to handle, for others the way Naughty Dog tells this story is too complex and not spoon-fed. For the open minded and thinking player this will be a perfect fit, as the daring breaking with conventions allows for a long lasting impression.     Well worth the wait. Great game. Had a lot of fun. Played it twice. Playing for a third time now. Probably going back to Part 1 and then coming back for round 4 when I finish.

    Truly is an amazing game. Everything from the music, gameplay, and yes story is simply masterful. Every little detail successfuly transports the player to the game and helps maintain immersion. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to be told a wonderful and deeply emotional story.

    Sound and Visuals: 10

    This is probably the one part of the game that everyone can universally agree was nailed. The environments were phenomenal, amazing looking flora with great graphical fidelity. Lush forests, verdant cities, dark and impending tunnels, honestly you could spend so much of the game just looking at the environments and not get tired. The use of lighting was incredible, especially in those darker environments. The visual brutality of combat was stunning in how visceral it was. The game even offers character models you can unlock so you can truly marvel at every facet of the infected, and just how much detail was put into the characters. Sound wise everything sounded fantastic, it was more of the same from the first but that’a far from a negative. Every sound really added some extra depth to the brutality of each swing. Gameplay: 7

    So this one has to be broken up and examined for each aspect. Survival/Horror aspects, Combat, and Traversal/Puzzles.

    It’s very much a more refined The Last of Us gameplay. If you didn’t like that you won’t like this. The addition of being able to go prone and dodge help open up new ways to approach your combat. The survival aspect and that feeling of terror when it came to the infected was pretty much stripped away in this one. Infected became more of an obstacle to overcome than a fear inducing enemy. The game constantly forces you to ditch efforts at stealth which kind of takes away your freedom of gameplay. However the world is much more open than the previous one. In addition the locations provided various ways to approach a combat scenario, which helps keep the fights from feeling to stagnant. Traversal was pretty decent with some decent semi-open world areas, but exploring outside of these areas rarely felt rewarding. In addition I felt there was just too much ammo available to ever really worry about, same with parts for craftable items. Puzzles were pretty minor and were neither a positive or a negative for the game. The controls are still rather clunky like the first one. (Sorry had to cut a lot of detail to make the word count)

    Story: 6

    Now, i’m not going to go too indepth in the story, as to not spoil anything, but to put it very simply: It was a 25hour long story that should have been 13hours long. At least 8 hours should have been removed and summarized into a 2 hour long segment AT MOST, (the rest could have been worked into a DLC that would be optional and released after launch) and the last two hours of the game shouldn’t have been included at all. They could have rewrote one segment only slightly, and the last two hours wouldn’t have even needed to take place. The game strives to tell a story of revenge, but drags the story in an attempt to expose you to both sides. The story is not dark, it doesn’t tackle dark and horrific themes, it’s just bleak. The game even teases a happy ending which shocks you due to the fact that it’s so bleak, just to rip it away from you for no real reason. To be fair, there are also TONS of moments where the character chemistry was so good that I couldn’t help but smile. Some really wonderful interactions between the characters and adorable moments. ESPECIALLY in the flashbacks. I understand what Naughty Dog was trying to do, and can appreciated the story for what it is, but it’s execution was far from good. The first half of the game I couldn’t put it down because i wanted to know what would happen next, but the second half I couldn’t put it down because I just wanted to get to the ending. I wholeheartedly believe that if they changed a large portion of the second half, and released it as future DLC, and fixed the ending, the game’s story would be an 8-8.5/10 alone and the game would have been around a 9 overall. It would have been a much more concise story without 3-4 pointless and unnecessary subplots. I will say that I have NO issues with how they decided to go about the game. No issues with how they handled characters, and found them and their paths to be a very natural progression of the story. A lot of the complaints are from fans that are mad about this, and they were unfounded. The characters were enjoyable So yeah, overall I sit at about a 7.6/10 for the game. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it certainly could have been done better.    … Expand

    Thoroughly enjoyed the game, an emotional roller coaster highlighting human decisions and the questionable morality that follows. The relationship between Ellie and Joel can be understood the more you play and with the surroundings. It may not be the follow on we expected, but it surpassed my expectations and would play again.

    After the twist early on that hits like a gut punch I was worried that this wasn’t the story that I wanted from a follow up to the last of us. As the story continued however I was won over. By the end I loved the journey that part 2 takes the characters on.

    Es un juego que sinceramente no necesitaba continuación o bien si merecía una tuvieron que pulir demasiado la historia ya que en jugabilidad, calidad de cinemáticas etc esta muy bien el juego pero sinceramente este juego aun que hubiese tenido unos gráficos pésimos y una historia digna de la continuación del primero sería un éxito ya que esta saga su fuerte fue su historia

    This story will make player feel a lot of things, you will feel happy, sad, anger .. and scared.

    this game delivers an unforgettable experience in this dead and confusing world of the last of us, this game is Just perfect, giving the player more than a character perspective, the story is not your typical Hero and Villain story, it's really deep.

    The graphics are just phenomenon and photorealistic, and the gameplay is so perfect, sometimes is scary not just from infected, but people.

    Honestly my only problem with the game that they inforce the idea about LGBT, though it doesn't suit many players including me, that's why its 9/10.

    Just finished the game. Why I can understand why some wouldn't like the story, rating it this low is lunacy. I for one was gripped the whole time. Had moments of tears, smiles, and nervous shaking(none more than that last night in Seattle.) Give the game a chance. It's quite the ride.

    For anyone who wants the happy, magic, dancing with fairies and rainbow princesses storyline that most games give us, then perhaps a story that happens during an apocalypse isn't the game for you?
    I think I've made it clear that I think the story was brilliant, I'm not saying people that don't like it are wrong, everyones entitled to their own opinion. But saying the game has been written poorly is definitley out of order.

    But aside from that, the other aspects of the game are fantastic! The visuals blow my mind, there is one scene where the characters and backdrop actually look real. I just wonder how the PS5 will elevate this game once it's remastered! (Which it surely will be right?)
    The gameplay is much like the first, but improved. Everything feels more fluid and the way you can move around the obstacles and terrain, which goes hand in hand with the more open spaces we are given, especially compared to the first game, make it much more realistic. Even small touches like leaning over a ledge before dropping down makes the game feel real.
    I think, even if you disliked the story, everyone can agree that the gameplay is next level.

    If you're new to TLOU and are on the edge about buying it, I'd wait a little while for a sale maybe? But if, like me, you've waited 7 years for this game to come then you need to buy it NOW!
    If you love it or hate it, it's an experience none the less and what NaughtyDog has achieved with this game is unreal.

    The TLOU in my opinion was never really about the characters or the story it was more like about ideas and morals. The focus of the first game was on selfishness while the sequel shows how revenge can be a vicious never ending cycle which can claim your soul. The other point was why someone’s revenge can be justified whilst other’s can’t.The only reason why they could not make the point is because of the leaks people already hated the second half not even giving it a chance. If you think the game is garbage just because the story unfolds as it does or because what happens to some characters than you missed the whole point of the game and yes whether some people like it or not this game does require some intelligence and a certain age. Not because of the brutality mostly because you can only understand what you see in this game if you have experience in life. You are also required to recognize foreshadowing and metphors to understand what the game tries to tell you. Also some other reviews say that their problem was the large amount of violence made them numb to it. Well that was one point that the game tried to do only they did not realized it. There are so many other heavy topics discussed such as redemption and forgiveness. TLOU 2 is a 25-30 hours soul torturing and it feels awsome. The game is not perfect there are few characters that are kind of one dimensional but I think we seen worse. The game looks stunning and the gameplay is much more enjoyable than the first one. I would describe this as more of an experiance rather than a game and I would strongly recommend it for those who are not judgemental and for those who can look past the thigs that are in front of them.… Expand

First of all i gotta say that naughty dog did a really great job by making the visuals and the gameplay as good as possible, because the gameplay of the first part it wasnt really terrefing and in part 2 you can get a bit more of tension and being afraid of zombies coming after you because they can kill you really fast (you can get a better look at playing in survival) but i think they dont quite get it on the story part, it would be much better to start with abby story to see how she felt with the things joel have done and why she wanted so bad to kill him, apart from that the flashback were soo un organised from my point o view, because we dont know how ellie finds out what joel did on the hospital or how their relantionship was at the time joel died (talking about their last conversation, it would have a bigger impact to know that ellie couldnt say "i forgive you" to joel), another thing is that i dont know why they deciddd to make ellie the most inmature mother ever, i know joel was really important for her but it was really necessary to went to hunt abby when you have to raise a child with your twin soul?? In one part of the game ellie said that she wanted to have a farm and blah blah, but then she makes the biggest wrong choice and didnt complete his mission that was killing abby amd by the time she went back home she lost everything, dina, jj, the farm and the ability to play the guitar that joel gave to her, at least it gives you the message that revenge its not a good thing (abby learned that and had a better ending for her story) (by the way im team abby now)… Expand

    On suit le personnage principal, on partage (ou pas) ses sentiments mais on n'est jamais neutre et on ressent des sensations rares dans un jeu video.

    Joel killed a lot of people in the first game and it is normal for other people to take justice. But let's remember that both Ellie and Joel killed people in the past and that does not make them better people than fireflies, wolves or seraphites.
    The fireflies wanted a cure for humanity and Joel out of selfishness preferred to save Ellie by killing people who only wanted a cure. Joel saved Ellie without asking her opinion.

    The fights are the best Naughty Dog has produced, light years from the first game. The animations are shocking, literally. The best in the industry.

    For me the story was perfect. It's so interesting that in the first game they established joel and ellie as sympathetic characters, but not necessarily loveable. joel is made apathetic by grief and ellie's naive and a bit awkward; regardless, we grow to love them for all their complexities. in the end, joel makes a terrible decision that's the right one for him, and the audience may notFor me the story was perfect.     In this game, they took loveable characters and said yes, they're sympathetic, but they're not the heroes and you're not going to forget it. and honestly? that's incredible writing, because it /hurts/. it would've been so easy to tell a similar story with characters we don't know so it doesn't 'ruin' ellie and joel, but that's the point- we feel it because they matter to us, this whole game is so personal to gamers because of the successes of the first game. we're invested, we care, we want them to live and we want them to be happy and that's not what this story is. they're complex, they're traumatised, they make bad choices. but they love each other. we love them.
    No one has to like this game, but no one can say they don't feel anything while playing it.

The game is designed to make you think and feel emotions on both sides of the story. The game wants you to know that your actions have consequences. It truly does make you wander if revenge and the actions needed to exact it are truly worth the costs involved. Both Abby and Ellie were completely justified in what they did and this is often the most difficult idea to come to terms with because we ourselves want revenge for the loss of Joel but begin to realise that if the first game was from Abby's perspective, we would have felt the exact same way for her and the loss of her father by Joel's hands. This is top notch storytelling. There is also so much to explore and discover and be absolutely amazed by in this game. The world is immaculately designed and takes what we have loved from the first game and expands on it in ways that allow us to appreciate the world we have been thrown into and the work that went behind everything we get to experience. This includes the smooth combat mechanics and even something as simple as the collectibles layered throughout the game and weapon crafting. Altogether, the game offers a brilliantly constructed story that achieves what the developers set out to do and gameplay that revolutionises the idea of what you can do within a game.     The game is the best. Nothing to add, a lot of anger around the "propaganda" of LGBT people and the fem movement. Personally, this did not hurt me at all, not a bit affected the plot.

    Третья проблема так это, то что игра слишком сильно затянута, ее можно бвло бы сделать немного короче, но возможно для кого-нибудь это будет плюсом.
    А насчет ЛГБТ повестки могу сказать, что ее в игре практически нету, все что есть лесбийские отношения элли и ее подруги дины(что в принуипе нормально и я не вижу в этом никакую рропоганду, тем более это было еще в первой части) ,и один трансгендер, и его проблеме в игре уделили отсилы пару минут и это не критично(но мне кажется, что это быдо неуместно, так как в постапокалипсисе и во время войны с другой группировкой ей должно быть не до этого), поэтому могу сказать, что лгбт повестки в этой игре практически нет.
    В остальном игра просто отличная и я ставлю этой игре 8 баллов из 10, минус балл за сюжет, так как он слабоват и минус балл за недоработанных персонажей и затянутость. Эту игру хейтят незаслуженно и да библейских отсылок тут достаточно    … Expand

    It was rushed at the beginning, I wish they had developed it better. But the journey was fantastic! And the end... I wish it had multiple ends. I saw myself hesitating a lot of times... doing things I personally didn't want to do. So be ready to see your emotions being played or you will be angry and disappointed. It was amazing.

    Without spoiling anything, the fight comes down to one simple thing; Naughty Dog thinks of their games as movies, and in this particular case they made a decision about how to deliver the story to players that mirrors narrative structure from the Tarantino novels-as-films school of thought. Meaning, Tarantino regularly plays out long scenes - long being defined as 10-20 minutes in the context of a film - before revealing to you what’s going on.

    Neil Druckman is clearly a fan of that. And so am I, frankly. It’s a beautiful thing when executed properly.

    But here’s the problem. Games aren’t films. If you’re going to play out a scene for 10-20 minutes in a film, you can trust that the director is going to pay you off relatively soon and hang in there for the angsty in-between time. In a game, that in between time could be hours rather than minutes. And in the case of TLOU2, it is many, many hours.

    That’s too long. The trope dies, and you wind up resenting the people you’re supposed to be coming to love. And hating every new encounter while you wait to find out what happens. It takes too long.

    If Tarantino held a scene for hours, rather than 10-20 minutes, I would hate that, too. The scene in the farm house at the beginning of Inglorious Basterds where you don’t know that the Jewish family is under the floorboards until 20 minutes in? Incredible. Masterful. One of the best scenes in cinematic history. On the other hand, The Hateful Eight taking upwards of three hours to reveal who the hell all the players are and what their motivations are? Too long, he lost me, and statistically, most moviegoers.

    Naughty Dog commits that same narrative sin here, except in this case it takes roughly three times longer than the sin in The Hateful Eight. That’s a *long* time. As a writer and a game, novel and film lover, even I found it painful to get through the second half of this game. I could see that Neil wanted me to love the characters involved. And I was with him, begrudgingly, for the first couple hours, but eventually I grew to resent the whole endeavor. I threw up my hands and said, **** it, kill them, or kill someone else, or kill everyone, I don’t care, just do *something*”. It was exhausting. And I don’t relish that assertion. It’s just a fact.

    Games shouldn’t use this narrative trope. It doesn’t work.

    Apart from that *one* nagging issue, let’s be clear, this game is immaculate. One of the greatest pieces of any type of media ever created. The gameplay is every bit as great as MGSV and RDR2. The graphics are absolutely insane on a very old console on its last gasp. It runs extremely well and I encountered exactly zero glitches or frame rate issues in more than 30 hours of gameplay. The delivery of the story is unbelievably seamless and the pacing is great from that perspective.

    This game is 9 parts perfect, 1 part broken. Anybody who says it’s a 0 is an incurious, unfair, self-righteous baby. And in most cases I’m quite sure they haven’t beaten or in many cases even played/purchased the game. On the other hand, I strongly disagree with anybody who says this is a perfect 10.

    My problem is not with what happens to beloved characters. That’s fine. It is the creator’s prerogative to do what they feel is right and narratively compelling. The problem is the way they do it that ensures a long, hateful gameplay slog for the real-life experiencer through more than half of the game. By the end, I was rushing through and no longer exploring because I was that exhausted. I *never* do that, especially with a game from Naughty Dog, which is my favorite creator in all media by a factor of 10.    … Expand

В игре улучшали и так очень крепкий и интересный костяк геймплея, сделав его более вертикальным, проработав локации так, что ты всегда можешь на полную проявить свою креативность в его ее прохождении. Выдали все такой же простой сюжет, как в первой части, но засечь атмосферы, постановки и переосмыслений некоторых мыслей, сюжет выглядит интересным и интригующим до самого конца. И скажу, что как и спервоначалу частью концовку будут обсуждать многие, то насколько она противоречива, то как должны была поступить героиня итд. В этом плане игра держат планку, заданную 7 лет назад. И по сути правда, ведь всё гениальное — просто. The Last of Us Part II — это комплексное произведение, которое затрагивает много спорных тем и лишь пытается найти в них истину, а то как вы отнесетесь к ней, зависит только от вас.

    В свое время я поставил первой части 9,5/10, что я хотел сделать и со второй, но все же я не могу этого сделать так как все же среди новых героев The Last of Us Part II, на протяжении всего прохождения, я не смог выделить симпатичного мне персонажа. От катарсиса, который захватывает тебя в какой-то момент, практически ничего не остаётся к финалу. Закончилась бы эта история на несколько часов ранее, и такой усталости бы не возникло.

    Если первую часть истории Элли и Джоэла вы могли советовать кому угодно, взахлёб рассказывая почему это приключение запомнилось вам надолго, то в случае со второй частью вы тысячу раз подумаете, как эта история резонировала с вами и сможет ли она вызвать какой-то отклик в душе у другого человека. Но лично у меня она смогла это сделать, поэтому моя оценка игре 9/10, если вам нравилась первая игра, то я прошу дать шанс и второй, так как она действительно это заслуживает, игроки не знакомые с серией, лучше пройдите в начале первую часть и только потом решайте нужно ли вам оно. Повторюсь, что я буду защищать эту игру, ибо она почти Шедевральна и не заслуживает той клеветы, которую геймеры обрушили на неё из-за сливов, которые не передают всей полноты картины.    … Expand

    This game is not some LGBTQ+ propaganda. Yes Ellie is gay, and her love interest is a significant character, but her being gay has no importance to the story. The game would not be any different if she was straight and Dina was a guy. Ellie is the main character on an incredible adventure, that just happens to be gay. There's not a leftist agenda being pushed on Ellie's sexuality, just a character trait. Second, Abby's arms are huge. If you had lost your dad and spent the next four years tracking his murder down to seek revenge, my guess is you'd be hitting the gym hard. Abby is a brute character and provides a very fun gameplay difference from what we're used to.

    This game is DARK, and does not have a happy ending. I was very mad at Joel's death, but I knew it had to happen. The point of this game was to show that all actions have consequences, and there are two sides to every story. It's easy for us to think that Joel made the right choice in part 1 saving Ellie, because we played the whole game as Joel. But he killed a lot of people, including Abby's father. It's great that we're mad at Abby in the beginning, because we buy into Ellie's revenge story. We cheer her on at every step and don't care about the lives she takes because to us, they're the bad guys that killed joel.
    Then the tables turn, we play as the murder. It's weird, I didn't like it. I found as many ways as possible to kill abby just hoping I could change joel's faith. Then we learn about her father, and start playing as her perspective. You start to care about her and her friends and want to explain it all to Ellie. All the sudden we feel bad about Owen and Mel, we want to do it all differently. This game makes you feel all sorts of crazy emotions. We hate Abby for killing joel, hate it. But understand the reason, because we played the same with Ellie. Both sides are avenging a father figure, and both sides are blinded by this.    … Expand

And I’d absolutely hate it if the game did this. But I just don’t see any indication of that. Game is great. However, at the midway point about 10-11 hours in, it started to lose me. There’s a cliffhanger and then you’re playing Abby’s side of the story for the next 8-10 hours which slowly began to kill it for me. 2 hours was okay, but then the story began to revolve around new characters you had to help for some reason, which annoyed me as at that point I just wanted the game to reach it’s end. I’d give the game 8/10, as it was still great, but for me around 8-10 hours to long which drags score down.… Expand

Скажу пару моментов (Спойлерить не буду ) Игра пройдется вам по нервам!(Обязательно сыграй(те) в первую часть ! ) Сюжет очень необычный и в некоторых моментах может показаться глупым , тупыми , банальным , но это лишь на первый взгляд. Он помогает понять , что испытывает каждый герой , чего он хочет и какую цену он за это отдаст. Его необходимо понять и обдумать. Лично я получил от просмотра данной игры следующие чувства : злость , уныние, непонимание , отрицание. Сюжет играет по вашим чувствам , как Элли играет на гитаре. Вывод. Я могу 4 тома написать о данной игре , но не буду. Игра понравилась. Стоит ли тебе её покупать ? Не знаю... Подумай. Сначала оценил данную игру в в диапазоне 6из10 , но прошло пару деньков , и игре я щедро накинул 2 балла . Скажу сразу это не шедевр из шедевром , какой была первая часть , но и неплохая игра , она наполнена смыслом (пусть и кажется , что глупым , это на первый взгляд ).     The game is not a masterpiece but a very good game. Gameplay mechanics in comparison with the first part seems more "alive". Well-written characters, interesting fights, large locations, as well as wonderful graphics give a storm of emotions. I recommend everyone to get acquainted with this game (of course, after passing the first part).

The overall gameplay was fantastic. I do agree that the story in the first one is better, but I don't understand why people hate this game so much. The voice acting and animation fantastic.     I feel this game is definitely masterpiece quality and an amazing game all in all I just am disappointed with the direction they took it because the last of us is my favorite game of all time and part 2 is disappointing to me but I still had fun and a great time playing probably won’t play again but still a great game

    Spoiler free review or the last of us part 2, firstly wow this game looks great, graphically it’s the best looking PS4 game out there. The story though gripping and emotional at time it wasn’t quite as good as the first game that being said TLOU2 is still a great game. The characters both new and old are great and the game play benefits from some subtle but much needed improvement.     Uno de los juegos que más he disfrutado jugar desde hace mucho tiempo, el juego te atrapa desde los primero minutos, creo que capacidad narrativa y su nivel de detalle son perfectos, hablando de la banda Sonora jel juegos cumple hasta a los más exigentes gustos, ya que tiene la facilidad de sumergirte en una atmósfera de miedo, de presiones, de estrés con sólo cambiar los sonidos.

    It was an amazing game for me. I looked at it with an open mind and was rewarded in doing so; a little more needed to be added to the story, but other than that, it was amazing. In the future, I believe this game will become a cult classic, even though it seems the general public doesn’t agree.

    Es un juego 10/10, banda Sonora muy buena, buena narrativa, excelente gameplay y de los mejores gráficos que he visto en un videojuego, realmente es un juego casi perfecto obviando el final, no siento que sea malo solo que es agridulce y sin duda no es algo que uno esperaría como jugador

    Altamente recomendado, con mecánicas de juego muy bien echas, el combate frenético está mejorado comparándolo con la anterior entrega de the Last of us.
    Puedes escalar, saltar, y escabullirte para superar algunos niveles.
    El juego recompensa la exploración de los distintos niveles otorgándole recursos con los que mejorar al personaje y sus armas.

    Es un juegazo a mi ver, pues me dejo llena de muchas emociones, nos pone a reflexionar sobre la vida misma. Realismo auténtico en todos los apartados, tanto como en los gráficos, jugavilidad e historia. Una auténtica joya!, recomendadisimo!!!

    This game is profound and excellent. Maybe I'd give it a 9 normally because some of the travel feels grind-y, but screw the homophobe and bigot brigaders. No way in heck is this anything below an 8.

And definitely a worthy sequel. Excellent animations, soundtrack, acting, fun gameplay that’s greatly improved from the first. All in all, a solid 9 out of 10. (I understand ND’s intentions with the parallels between Abby and Ellie, however I just couldn’t enjoy Abby’s portion of the story. Personal opinion of course!)… Expand

    Support for Naughty Dog, LLC and rant for the so called fans who are whining about this AMAZING PIECE OF ART.

    I'll start by reminding everyone the old proverb that goes "Live by the sword, die by the sword". I really hope that most of the whiners have heard that proverb before, and if they haven't then that would explain the apalling lack of much needed reality checks.

    The reaction this game is causing in our society is a clear indicator of the sad existence of "eggshell skull heads" who wrongly believe that just because their psyches are weaker than most; then the entire world around them must adapt to their fragile needs and wants.

    A plain and simple "WTF?" Is what better describes bad reviews based on wanting to keep X character alive, or the fact that you have to kill "poor defenseless puppies" (yes that was sarcasm, that's a thing you know?) while the whole narrative of the game takes place in a post apocalyptic SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST type of crazy world, the type we all instinctively know would be super scary to live in because of those and many other uglier posibilities.

    Coming back to the proverb I mentioned: What else do you expect to have happened to Joel? The dude though a hardcore badass we could only aspire to be... had it coming for years now. Remember how he took any posibility for a cure away from humanity's grasp? I didn't hear anyone complaning then about how unjust, not caring about fellow humans and totally selfish move that was...

    Why did no one complaint then? Two things:

    1- Paraphrasing the philosophy behind Freud's "id" – We cannot 100% guarantee that we would have done any better in his shoes
    (even Tommy admitted to that) since we don't really know what would it take to turn us into a savage killer blinded by . Which is exactly what happened to Abby too.

    2- Back then we were not being bombarded with social justice crap that even thou nice on the surface, they wouldn't mean $h1+ and I yes I meant to say poop, in the world of #TheLastOfUs.
    Just think about it, no global warming would be taking place, no animal abuse for sure (plenty of flesh eating puppies runing loose), clearly most people accept LGBTQ communities in this world.
    Ain't that enough for yall snowflakes out there?

    Naughty Dog, LLC made an incredible BOLD and BRAVE move with this story. Something only people who trully know how the real world behaves would do. And to me and some great critics I've seen, such choices have made this game a #masterpiece yet again. Only constructive feedback I would give them is: next time do a better job with bugs that's it.

What I think they are trying to go for in this game is a lesson on perspective when you play as Abby you get to see her as a human and why she did it now whether u pity her or still hate her is up to you, personally I still hated her. I think the story in this game is a new kind of story that is interesting. Neil took a lot of risks with this game and most of it worked out. For the people who think that there is forced identity politics and forced LGBT ideas, there's not, Ellie has been known that she was lesbian since the DLC from the first game and honestly the fact that there are some LGBT aspects in this game makes it a little more interesting. Now I'm not some big LGBT supporter that thinks stuff like this should be shoved down peoples throats at all i dont think that's right but I think that the LGBT aspects in the game fit and really what does it matter, it makes some good story points too.


    This game is definitely one of the more realistic games, this had me on my feet for almost the entire game because I couldn't predict what would happen i loved the game play it felt fluid and the way you could move your character was awesome.

    Did it match up to the first game? Story wise? No, definitely not the first game is a masterpiece and I think pretty much everyone would agree. But I still think that this game is one of a kind and definitely worth playing.    … Expand

I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Neil Druckmann's genius writing itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

    And yes, by the way, i DO have a Abby sex scene tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid    … Expand

    Beautiful game with great mechanics, gameplay and sound. I really enjoyed the story. The game is such an emotional rollercoaster. I am really glad I didn't fall for basic hate and actually had given this game a chance.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
