Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Thank you Neil Druckmanm thanks you Santaolalla, thank you ND.

I'm not going to lie, but at the point where you fight Ellie as Abby, I was in a rage against ND, I couldn't understand how you crush a character like that... Why you make me play with the killer of Joel for so frecking long... I was absolutely furious how Ellie was "done with that" on the house living with Dina and the baby... That's, not Ellie I thought, Ellie won't leave Abby live... we need to **** kill her...

I only forced to keep playing the game with the only intention to kill Abby... then it hit me like a goddam train, and it hurt and it hurt a lot...

    Allow me to explain myself...

If Ellie killed Abby, the cycle must continue, someone has to kill Ellie. But Ellie broke it, revenge won't help her, he needed closure, not revenge. And that's what she got, and no, I don't buy the "she killed everybody just to pardon Abby? YES, **** yes, and that's why Neil and the ND is a **** genius, because at the last scene when Ellie realized she couldn't play the guitar, it let her understand that letting Abby go, letting the guitar there, helped her letting Joel go...

It's not what everybody expected, I get that, we all wanted all the game to be like the museum memory... Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you guys. It´s not...

I cried for a frecking hour when Ellie started to play and left...

This game has a brilliant story and I think it hit me sooo frecking hard because I was soo in the Ellie ship... but this world, this game isn't about "the good ones" and the "bad guys" this is about the actions of Joel's life and how Ellie in his absolute depression couldn't see anything but revenge, but that's not her, the true Ellie is the museum one, the "I wanna see what all the fuss is about" Ellie, the one who makes dumb joked with her first real friend.

We need to understand what Ellie´s been through guys. Why you think we don’t see any "car with Joel scenes... any pun jokes book with Dina... because her relationship with Joel is fractured, and she lost the opportunity to repair it... She lost her first true love... and know when she finally started to trust someone, she lied at her face and have to "carry" a baby that forever remained her that his dad is dead because of her... She can’t live a life like that... That’s truly not her...

That’s why she needed to go with Abby, and yes, it was melodramatic to "save her at the last second" but that’s what she needed, and the fingers... well... yeah, I thought, at first, that it was only on the gore side, to show that your actions have consequences, even if you don’t "end them". BUT, it was crucial, I’ll explain:

In the last scene, when Ellie tries to play the guitar and lives, I thought that it remembered too much to Joel and she couldn’t do it, not that fresh... but not, she fiscally couldn’t play. (Maybe if there is a 3rd one shell just plays with the other hand... I don now lol.) But what I got from that, is that she needed that, she needed to leave Joel behind (figuratively with the guitar) and move on... And that’s what she does... she moved on.

That’s why, also, Tommy broke up with Maria, because Tommy didn’t move on... He probably kept complaining and **** why he didn’t kill her... why he didn’t do that... or do the other... (You know? Like all of us when we **** up something, of think of great response on an argument 5 hours after it ended...) He didn’t have closure, or he didn’t accept what happened, and that deeply depressed him to the point he lost what he loves more... his wife.

That’s what Ellie "got right" yes, she’s greatly affected, of **** course... for her, his whole life was circling around giving her life for the cure... and Joel took that from her.

But know, with Joel, with Abby with Jesse, and Tommy behind, she can truly move on and be that curious badass girl, who claimed dinosaurs and make silly pun jokes with her best friend... Because, there’s nothing in her past, hunting her...

That’s why I think it hit me so hard… because upon all the “second” half of the game, I was in rage, I didn’t want to play Abby… I didn’t care about their life’s, friends…, how many of them where… I only wanted to kill Abby… Joel can’t go unavenged. Until I wasn’t, until I saw Ellie walking away from Joel’s guitar, that I realized… Abby is Joel…
And it was so frecking obvious, Ellie never put up stairs, Ellie never sees a flamethrower, Joel never wanted Ellie to become what she was becoming. That’s why he choked on the last memory when Ellie tells him that she may never forgive him… but she may try…

It seems that people forgot the ending and monumental repercussions that would arise out of the first beloved game - if you go into this experience with a conceited, entitled attitude of what you want the story to be then of course you will dislike the outcome. Opening your heart and allowing the game to tell its story will leave you with a breathtaking experience and a message you would be sure to remember for the rest of your life.

For the people who didn't like the game's story, I understand and respect your opinion. HOWEVER, there are people who refuse to play the game and came here to give it a 0 anyway. I really want to warn against that, not because TLoU2 deserves a good score or anything, but rather it completely ruins any merit of future User Reviews. User Reviews are important because it gives the general consensus of the average person's experience, but because some of the negative reviews didn't even play the game, let alone experience it in its entirety, it doesn't do the true score justice.

As I said before, it's understandable why people HATED this game. The prologue is incredibly rough, especially for those who had emotional attachments to the first one. But through the inciting incident, the story earns your (the player's) anger and hatred towards the antagonists. While the narrative certainly has some bumps here and there, particularly with pacing, it overall tells a poignant and bleak tale of revenge, hate, and dehumanization. I truly believe TLoU2 pushes the boundaries of storytelling and makes use of player interaction, in which it asks the audience to try and empathize with every character involved. I don't agree with some of the reviews claiming there are plot holes or felt that it was all pointless. There is a moral lesson to be had by the end, and it reveals what happens when we let hate and anger cloud our judgment.

The gameplay is a vast improvement from the first one. I didn't necessarily "enjoy" the first Last of Us, although it did have great moments. Part II has a more fluid and cinematic feel, making use of the PS4's technology and turning every combat encounter into a harrowing and stressful experience. Throughout the game I've had a stealth section turn into an intense firefight, and a firefight turn into a health-draining escape. Character development occurs through the action and really unravels who they are. The only thing I'm not a fan of are the QTE's.

It's unfortunate that the legacy of TLoU2 will be its controversy more so than the quality. I really think this game deserves a chance since it's mostly based on player experience. As someone who was spoiled by a major event in the story before the game came out, the emotional beats still landed and by the end, I felt exactly what the game intended. Again, if you didn't like the game after playing it, I completely understand, but for the ones who simply want to leave comments like "I hate gay people" in their review, you are ruining future User Scores.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Okay so I will say this, I feel like most people are just **** talking this game because of what they know, have seen, or heard, without even playing it. Playing and experiencing the game for yourself gives you the right to your own opinion, you are entitled to that as long as you've played it. I actually really liked the game. Do I disagree with some of the events in the story, yes, but it doesn't deserve a low average rating of 4.4 like that's ridiculous.
In the context that we are given, things in the game makes sense, it is clear what they were going for. But if you are bias to what you've seen or heard or have already played, and you let that bias become a block, then you are not going to have the experience you want with the game, because your bias going to blind you and hinder you from being able to analyze the themes and symbolism as they are meant to be analyzed.
The point of playing as Abby is not to tease us, haha look we're making you play as Joel's murderer, no. No one even said you have to LIKE her. The point of playing as Abby is to put us in her shoes, to try and understand at the very least why she does what she does.
Every single new character has a meaning some less or more than others but their stories are there. Dina and Jesse are Ellie's friends, they have history, but if you don't analyze the hints the game gives you, you won't see that Joel used to think Jesse had a crush on Ellie, Ellie actually has feeling for Dina, and vice versa. You'll miss who these people are to Ellie if you don't play attention.
Manny, Mel, and Owen are Abby's friends, this is the games way of showing us who and what Abby has to lose. Owen is her love interest.
Abby begins her revenge story from the moment Joel decides to save Ellie, killing all the doctors at the hospital in the first game. Following up in the second game keep in my that Abby gets her revenge, she kills Joel. I heard people saying that Abby had no remorse for killing Joel but you can see that she does, i actually believe it's the reason she needs a good deed, which leads her to Lev and Yara. Lev asks her why did she go back for them, that she didn't owe them anything, to which Abby replies "Guilt.... I just needed to lighten the load a bit."
okay so now Ellie, my baby begins her revenge story when Abby kills Joel, this haunts her throughout the game and it's apparent. She wants revenge for what Abby did to Joel. She goes to Seattle with the intent of helping and looking for Tommy aswell as looking for Abby. There is a shift in Ellie's priorities near the end of Seattle Day 2, Jesse goes to support Tommy and Ellie follows the path of revenge pursuing Abby.
They finally encounter each other at the theater but remember by that time Abby already completed her Revenge story, what did she lose? Her Dad. What did it cost her to pursue it? Mel, Manny, Owen, even Nora.
My baby Ellie was on the brink of extinction and my wife Dina almost got her throat slit, I was on the edge of my chair. When Ellie reveals to Abby that Dina is pregnant, she replies "good," why? because her pregnant friend Mel was killed by Ellie, so why not, right? it makes sense anger, rage, and vengeance are motives for both Ellie and Abby, but Lev representing light and innocence of good tells Abby to step down and she does.
One year later Ellie is living a somewhat good life but is still clearly haunted by Joel's brutal death, suffering from PTSD. One Day Tommy's headass guilt trips Ellie into pursing the path of vengeance once more. But let's see, what did Ellie lose to drive her revenge story? Joel. What has she lost so far as a result of that? Jesse is dead and Tommy is very damaged. I kinda wanted to note that by this time in the game, Ellie knows this is not what she wants but she has to try because this PTSD seems like it's never gonna end, hence the "I don't sleep, I don't eat." it shows on her face when Dina begs her not to go, Ellie feels nothing so she pursues it in order to try.
All in all, I really enjoyed the game, it sucks that everyone is so divided. Ellie chose to let Abby go because that is not who Ellie is, I mean look at Abby who actually completed her revenge story, but literally lost everything even her people, the WLF and was LUCKY to have Lev. I will never forgive Abby for what she did to Joel, but she is still a respectable person/character. Ellie in the end made the wrong choice to pursue vengeance again and it cost her, herself and her connection with Joel through her ability to play the guitar. I just want Ellie to be happy, she is very talented and skilled I hope to see her pick up the guitar again and reconcile with her family, whom she is LUCKY to have. Honestly, it feels like you have to pull apart the story piece by piece for everyone to see it for what it is... ability to analyze the truths, themes, and symbolism of this game for what they are, i think are the best part about playing it.

The game is a masterpiece! It builds on the first game with larger environments, updated mechanics, new items to craft, new enemies, and a dark complex narrative about losing one's humanity in a brutal quest for revenge. It's the perfect foil to the first game which built it's narrative on regaining Joel's humanity and finding hope.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's so interesting to me to see the backlash of how people are upset in the lack of control they have over the story in The Last of Us 2, when that was literally the climax of the first game. The game is great, it has some pacing issues, there are points where I just want to skip the travel and go to the next main plot point. Since Uncharted 2, Naughty Dog have been pushing the line between how much "down time" they can put between action set pieces before it becomes a bit of a drag. To me, both Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 lean too heavily into these areas. The Last of Us 2 at least has the advantage of giving you the chance to use these downtime segments to search for items if you are running low or like to make sure you are properly stocked up. This isn't a huge issue, but it does make the Last of Us 2 hard to sit down and play in large bursts.

The story also drags on a bit long. While I think the story for the game is fine, and I'd argue I enjoyed it better than the last two Uncharted games, there's no doubt that it is bloated. There are a ton of characters, there are a lot of plot threads that have to be resolved that it can be a bit overwhelming.

The choice to switch to Abby for a huge chunk of the game was infuriating at first, but as I played it, I calmed down and took time to put some rational thought into it, and overall it was a great inclusion. Abby is not a great character, she's not horrible and there are some little hints as to who she is as a person sprinkled in if you look into her reactions to some of the documents you find, but there were definitely a lot more opportunities that they missed out on in regards to developing her more.

Overall though, the story is fine. Killing Joel is fine. The Fireflies had focused so much into making the cure, it makes sense that they'd want to send a small army after the man who killed one of the last medical professionals on the planet. Joel trusting Abby also makes sense. Joel has changed, just like he changed throughout the course of the game. People forget that between the moment where he didn't trust the "injured" hunter, he manages to become trustful of Sam and his brother, at the end of that same chapter. Living in a safe community, where hunters aren't nearly as prevalent, it would make sense that finding a seemingly peaceful human in a moment of intense stress, that he would trust them. He isn't out roaming the world constantly fighting humans anymore.

The story isn't revolutionary by any means, but it does create a commentary on the absurdity of protagionists in main games killing literally everyone they come across. It admittedly doesn't handle this topic with the greatest amount of sensitivity, and would have been better served developing Abby as a foil to this mindset, but it does its job. In this universe, everyone is willing to kill everyone on a moment's notice, regardless of who they are or what their past is.

Beyond the story, the game looks great, the actual graphics themselves aren't anything super exceptional, but in typical Naughty Dog style, they have pushed the graphics to their most extreme limit in terms of designing the game around looking great with what they are using.

Sound design is pretty solid, I won't say it's the most exceptional game in this regard, but the guns sound nice, the character dialogue sounds good.

The gameplay is similar to the original game. There have been some notable changes, some of which are a bit of a step backward (or in the wrong direction, I guess), and some of them are pretty great. The gunplay feels awesome, pulling off chains of kills feels even better than the first game. The upgrade system (for both your character and guns) is fun and lets you lean into whatever strategies tend to line up with what you enjoy doing, and all of them seemed viable from my experiences. The variety of enemies is far superior to the original game, though due to this game's length, it doesn't feel like a huge difference because this game is a good bit longer than the original, so those enemy types still appear a lot. Infected + human sections are a nice change of pace, it's fun to see how they will interact with each other in cool ways.

The puzzles are more varied than the first game, though admittedly still nothing to write home about.

Realistically, I think this game is about a 9/10, however, due to review bombing from children who haven't played the game, I'm going to give it that extra point to try to make the review score more indicative of what the score should be for people who have actually PLAYED THE GAME.

People criticize the flashback format but I believe it was perfect at revealing information when it had the biggest impact. The violence in this game is very self aware and Naughty Dog did an amazing job of conveying that every person you kill has their own lives. Abby became a hard person to like and care for, but I think Naughty Dog did really well with making me understand her side of the story, and had me sympathize more with her than our main protagonist Ellie. It was a great game. There are events I would never wanted it to happen but that’s life you know. The theme of ‘Revenge’ was carefully put together in a LOU style. Even thought some part are heartbreaking , I learned to let go and be more emphatic. Be open minded when playing. I think that’s the point of the game and the way to enjoy it

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not the game the fans wanted at all. Naughty Dog took a huge risk with the story. First off, amazing graphics and gameplay. We had to watch our favorite characters be destroyed and taken to their lowest points. We had to attempt to empathize with the “villain” of the game. No one liked playing as Abby at first, but she is actually pretty like able by the end. The way the game shows the affects of actions and comes together full circle is amazing. Ellie not killing abby shows that she has a tiny bit of human left in her. It is heartbreaking but amazing at the same time. It’s not meant to be a happy ever after story or something that takes the easy route. We get a better view of the world and the harsh way that actions affect everyone. Naughty dog said that you have to go in with an open mind and that not everyone would like the game. At first I hated playing as Abby and hated the way the game was going but it changed my mind and questioned my morals. Expand

What I like about this video game is that when you control ellie you kill people and dogs without thinking for example, there is a part that explains it well, in the hospital you kill a woman who was playing ps vita, and then (optionally) you kill a dog, when you're with ellie you don't care, but then when you're with abby it changes the thing because you have killed someone without thinking if they have family children.
That the last of us 2 has done very well because what he wants to convey is that killing is something that in video games you do not stop to think about and that what I like about the last of us 2 that what he does to you is in reflect on what you have done

This game is getting a lot of hate and it doesn't come from a good place. I read the leaks and it was heavily slanted towards making you hate the decisions taken with the plot. There is no political agenda with this game. This is one of the bad places the hate of the game is coming from and it's absolutely unfounded.

This game is getting a lot of hate and it doesn't come from a good place. I read the leaks and it was heavily slanted towards making you hate the decisions taken with the plot. There is no political agenda with this game. This is one of the bad places the hate of the game is coming from and it's absolutely unfounded.

    Graphics

There is a huge improvement upon the Naughty Dog Engine from Uncharted: The Lost Chapter. Much of the open world element from the latest Uncharted game is present here in this one. Parts of Seattle are huge environments with no set path. You must figure out where you are going and need to go for yourself.

The attention to detail in the character models both in-game and in cut scenes is amazing. The shift from cut scene to gameplay is practically seamless. Textures and animations are fantastic. A lot of work has gone into the facial animations for the characters (even the infected) to the point where these people are no longer "voice actors" as their emotion is passed through the animations.

    Audio

This game has full 7.1 support and the same fantastic audio tweaking we found in Uncharted 4 and The Lost Chapter. With lots of presets available and the ability to tweak the balance on each channel and even configure for distance. I personally have been playing this game with headphones.

As with the graphical detail, audio has not been overlooked. The sound effects in game are hugely realistic. The fidelity uncompromising. There are enemies that use whistles to communicate and the directional audio engine works well with this feature, allowing you to often pinpoint the location of an enemy given by the direction the sound came in. This is not groundbreaking, but it's been masterfully put together.

The soundtrack is fantastic as well. The same composer as the first game has returned to write some tracks for this game too. It has the same moody feel and undertones. In the more tense sections of the game the soundtrack puts you on the edge of your seat and sets the scene wonderfully.

    Accessibility

This game was made to be played and enjoyed by everyone. The range of options available here is going to have something for everyone. The game also does not punish you or deprive you of any sort of trophy for adjusting the difficulty. If a section is too tough for you, you can decrease the difficulty to get by.

    Story
Ah, this bit. I don't want to include spoilers, so I wont.

I read the leaked information about this game and the way it was presented was very slanted towards hate. I, personally, do not get easily led by creative writing in this way. I took the facts without the pathetic bias and formed my own opinion.

This isn't to say that everyone who does not enjoy the story is incapable of forming their own opinions or that everyone will enjoy everything; they won't and don't. But the fact is a hell of a lot of the reviews on this page probably haven't played the game and are on the hate train. That's fine. Just, caveat emptor.

I, for one, enjoyed the story thoroughly. We're introduced to a new set of characters in this game who are written well and played by their actors wonderfully. There are huge ups and downs with this game. One moment you'll feel warm and fuzzy the next you'll think "what the hell just happened?!".

There are things that happen in the story that, depending on how much you actually understood from the first game (I.E. not attributing things to a certain character that were entirely in your own mind. Making out like one certain character was an infallible badass that no-one can touch) happen and you're powerless to prevent it.

I went into this with an open mind and not a childish mentality and I ended up enjoying the game and story hugely.

    Overall

Overall this game gets some entirely unnecessary hate from sections of the gaming community that are not nice. The hate doesn't come from a good place. It comes from a place of bigotry. Those who dislike the story and will dislike that last sentence because they feel attacked need to realise that that's where the bias in the leaks came from. The leaked information was heavily slanted and was heavily put in a position where it made you feel a certain way.

If you can't recognise that, fine. If you transcended the hate and bias and you approached it like me and still didn't like aspects of the plot or story, then that's entirely respectable and a valid position to be in. You're also unlikely to be the sort of person saying this game is a 0/10 and will actually be giving your own objective review like me.

For me? This game is a 10/10 and I'll be replaying this for years to come.

I can't promise that everyone who plays The Last Of Us Part 2 will love it as the game has proved to be very divisive, however I have found the game to defy every expectation I held. The story is a truly bitter, despondent and horrifying revenge tale that builds engaging characters only to tear them apart and put them through utter hardship. Emotional trauma, grief, moral redemption, violence and vengeance are all themes encompassed by the nuisanced story.

Furthermore, the story is enhanced by gruesome, nasty gameplay that is weighty and down-to-earth. Each bullet feels powerful and destructive, and the brilliant display of gore with each headshot only accentuates the force behind each shot. The player can choose to sneak past enemies, pick them off with deadly precision or to rush headfirst into enemies and engage in gunfight. No matter which playstyle you prefer, each is made viable through the diverse range of weapons and trinkets at your disposal.

Wyoming, Seattle and the other locations which the player visits throughout the games 25 hour run-time are intricately animated. The breathtaking visuals are not only pure eycandy, but each location is also geographically accurate and mirrors its real life counterpart. It is awesome witnessing the decay of manmade infrastructure as nature restores itself throughout the city and pervades each building. However, there is a dramatic change in scenery with each level, giving each encounter it's own style and mood. For example, in one mission Ellie will be exploring the dank, and creepy, underground subway that is now host to deranged and grotesque Infected, however in the next level our heroine will be wading through the swampy marsh of what was once a freeway.

SUMMARY - The Last Of Us Part 2 is a fantastic game with a heartbreaking story, breathtaking visuals and horrifying gameplay. Naughty Dog have sustained their position as a top-tier video game developer with this installement in the TLOU franchise, and although there seems to be many games coming later this year from promising developers, I struggle to see how they could match the brilliance of this masterpiece.

Because what Naughty Dog did with this game was stepping up the show.

A movie's script can be well written, acting quality and actors may fit the part, characters can be well shaped and a movie can be philosophical, dark or may have a pleasing happy ending,
LoUII in my point of view is like a movie that intentionally doesn't want to have a positive conclusion and want you to feel uncomfortable on having a way of thinking that see the world in black and white.

In this sense i think that this game is not for everyone and can't be liked by everyone because expectations had to be adjusted on the story leitmotif and they couldn't, mostly given the popularity of the first game.

So for the people giving very low review i humbly ask them to consider that there are movies that fits a pizza with friends, movies that fits when you're with your loved ones and other that are best seen alone and in a reflective mood.
I think that Last of Us part II is the latter.

I think also that this game fits very well the Martin Scorsese discussion shared on the New York Times (https://nyti.ms/2CORqkR) about Marvel movies and the fact that is a pity that many artists "don't want" or are not in the best condition to take big risks on creativity and possibility to wander on how to make a piece of art, because video game like the one of the LoU are getting more and more like a movie.

I fear that giving so many bad reviews could in some way affect, going forward, companies like Naughty Dog to be more incline to not to take risks or bold choice in favor of the more safe path.

For this reason, in my opinion, even if you give the story 1 or zero this game is still a title that doesn't deserve to be bashed hard with a total rating of zero.

    My rating:
    Sound 8/10
    Graphic 10/10 (https://bit.ly/2NyBCVq)
    Gameplay 9/10
    Replay value 8/10
    Story 9/10

    Total 9/10*

    Graphic 2
    Gameplay 3

First of all, I would like to address one issue. Many people calling it woke. Ellie was shown as a homosexual even in the first game, so idk why these people are complaining now. People happen to be gay or straight, and Ellie just happens to be gay, what’s wrong with that? Second of all, just like in real life, stories happen to people regardless of your sexual orientation. So what if Ellie is gay, as we can see from the plot of game, her sexual orientation wasn’t even the focus point of the game, her struggle with her emotion and inner conflict is. A lot of people felt like certain characters’ deaths were a little rushed. Well, that’s what death is like in real life, I’ve lost family members in my life and their deaths were just like Joel, Jesse or Owen’s. It comes when you are not expecting it, it comes suddenly and you will never be prepared for it. So in that sense, these people’s deaths are real, it’s hard to take, it’s emotional, and you never expected it. It only takes one things to kill someone and people tend to underestimate how vulnerable they actually are. Expand

This game is a masterpiece. Technically is absolutely fantastic. I can´t name a single game that comes close in quality terms. The graphics take the PS4 to another level, the ambience is superb and the gameplay (especially if you like the first game) is very good. All that remains is the story, the theme of all controversy.
To some will be great, to some is disappointment, it all depends

To some will be great, to some is disappointment, it all depends on how your feelings work. I started in one position view and I ended in another way different, that means the story did its purpose. I love all characters and some I thought I would hate forever. This is TLOU level of writing, hard, painful but in the end... human. A great, great game...

The problem with it doesn’t come with the story, but with the way it is told. This tale of revenge is told masterfuly during the first 15 hours of the game, letting you not only understand but feel the emotions that the characters go through. After that, you play as a different character of which not all of its story arc is relevant so the story begins to drag, however this is compensated by some of the most tense and memorable parts of the game happening on that second part of the game.

The graphics and sound design are superb along the whole experience and definitively set the bar higher for quality in videogames, definitively a must try for every playstation 4 owner

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Love this game. Beautiful atmosphere, very detailed Seattle, intensive and brutal gameplay. Everything is magnificent. People love Walking dead as one of the best post-apocalyptic franchize, I love it as well. Why people hate this game, and still say TWD’s best seasons are the 5th and 6th. Death of the main character is one of the moments people love in GOT or TWD. This game is much more deep and mature. Ať the beginning, you think Abby is absolutelly worst character in this story, she’s ugly and IT doesn’t make any sense to have this new playable character around. But after 20 hours of playing, you create a bound to her, and in a final fight against Ellie, you are devastated because you love both of them. This game is a great continuation of our beloved first TLOU game. I want to thank Naughty dog for making this art. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us II. Expand

The closest to human a game ever reached. Everything here is cruel, raw and evil, and it looks like what the world would turn into if society crumbled. I just want to remind my fellow gamers that the fact that you don't like the plot doesn't mean it is not good and if you don't know any of these characters, do you still hate the story?

+ Gameplay, much deeper stealth, perks and custmizetion for weapon
    + Exploring
+ Allote of different arens for fight
Now lets check what was "not great, not teriable"
+/- Story (i really liked it, but i can understand if somebody don't)
+/- Only few bosses (actually there are only 1 real bossfight)
+/- Only few big locations for deep, long exploring
+/- Game is really long ( id like it, but if you try to play 24/7 you will be tiered and lost interested)
Now what's bad in this game:
    - Some characters had not so much screentime
    - Encounters with infected is not so interested

    So i guess thats all.
My score is 8.5, but I really enjoyed it so 9.

If this is what people's idea of a bad game is, then I'm happy to say I have **** taste and I want more.

I am absolutely amazed by the game's graphic, sound, battle system, art style, map design, enemy AI. And also the new method of story telling that challenges what made the 1st game great, some people may hate the game for it, but to me it is actually the best part of the game.

While I love the game, i will admit it is not perfect. I did notice some elements through out the gameplay that I instantly knew will displease some players (myself included), but the amount of hate towards the game was not expected at all.
But again, some of the things that people disliked did not even occur to me during the gameplay.

Anyway, as someone who loved the first game and also managed to love this one, I really think it is a game that everyone should give it a go.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
