For me to get into why this game is so divisive, I would have to spoil it, so I will not do that here. The short of it is that the game hurts to play sometimes; it makes you do things you don't want to do. But that's the point, and I actually think it works to tremendous effect.

For me to get into why this game is so divisive, I would have to spoil it, so I will not do that here. The short of it is that the game hurts to play sometimes; it makes you do things you don't want to do. But that's the point, and I actually think it works to tremendous effect.

Some people just wanted to play an extension of the first game. I get it, that game was a masterpiece. The thing is, I think the choices they made make this game a masterpiece too. If there is one critique I have, it's that, even though it is a 10/10 for me, it is so dark and emotionally challenging (even more than the first game) that it loses some replay value. But it is still a masterpiece that I will be thinking about for years to come. Naughty Dog is truly pushing the limits of gaming.

The people who don't like this game certainly are not taking issue with the gameplay, graphics, music, and level design. In every way except potentially one, this game is far superior to Last of Us Part 1. The level design in particular is far less linear than the first game, and in that sense the replay value is actually much greater. The music somehow takes a step up from the first game too. While the emotional guitar themes are still present, this game adds a Hans Zimmer style soundtrack for those truly epic moments. Not to mention the graphics are truly top notch.

But that leaves the one way in which Last of Us 1 could arguably be better. What people really loved about Last of Us 1 was the story and the complex characters. This game will live or die by what you think of the story and the characters (which I have combined into one thing here because the story is really about the characters).

For me, the characters are every bit as good as in the original. There are some truly emotional moments on par with Ellie's speech to Joel in the original (you know the one). There are moments where you can't help but smile, moments where you may cry, and moments where you will certainly gasp. Few games can inspire these reactions like Last of Us 1 and 2. The story is dark, but it puts most Hollywood movies to shame. It will leave you thinking about it for weeks, maybe years.

If you're on the fence about this game, give it a try. You'll either hate it or think it is a masterpiece, like I do. I applaud Naughty Dog for challenging the conventions of gaming, and not just to be different. I truly believe they challenge conventions here because the first game challenged conventions with its dark tone and conflicted ending. This game is bold because it decides to be different when they could have played it safe and cashed checks for years to come. But the spirit of the first game is still present in this one. If every fan got exactly what they wanted, I'm not sure the spirit of the first game would be there. I'm glad Naughty Dog took this chance, and I hope they are not deterred from doing so again.

The gameplay was amazing, the graphics were out of this world, the environment and setting were very appropriate and did an amazing job of pulling me in and making me feel what the character should be feeling also. Anyone who thinks the visuals, gameplay, loading times, etc. deserve anything less than a 5 is, in my opinion, letting their anger about the game's story direction cloud their judgement.
One aspect of the game I especially appreciated was the small open-world section that NaughtyDog put into the game when Dina and Ellie first arrive in Seattle. It was fun to have a map with different areas marked and optional areas for me to explore and loot, it was a refreshing addition to games that are traditionally more linear from this studio.
The environment and interactions with the infected were genuinely terrifying at times. Crawling slowly through the dark and straining to catch even a glimpse of the stalkers as they silently snuck up on you, doubling back through the hospital to find doors that used to be closed now smashed open and knowing something terrible is waiting for you in the dark, crawling through the grass in a dark park and seeing people stalking closer and closer, all these scenes gave me a serious thrill and I thoroughly enjoyed playing through the game.
Lastly, the story. To qualify my score and my feelings, I played The Last of Us for the first time maybe a month ago, so I don't have 7 years of replays and discussions and game awards and history with the first game to have built up an attachment to these characters. I'm a newcomer to the series, fwiw.
That said, I really did like the story. I think the game did drag on for way too long and there were plenty of places I felt it could have skipped and the game would have been long enough still. Joel dying was of course upsetting and all the way through Ellie's first 1/3 of the game I genuinely wanted to find and kill Abby for what she did. Playing as Abby for as long as I had to was unexpected and by the end, I was able to understand her pain better and even if I still didn't like her, I didn't have the same hatred towards her. I think that was a big part of the point: seeing things from your own one-sided perspective only serves to dehumanize your enemy and keeps you from truly understanding and makes it easier to hurt and kill them. The game continuously made me understand and begin to sympathize with different groups until by the end, I didn't hate anyone and didn't want to kill anyone (aside from the Rattlers, they can go to hell) even if I didn't agree with what they were doing or why. In the end, both Abby and Ellie held onto anger and hatred for so long that they lost the people they loved, they were reduced to depraved acts of violence, they had to watch the people they loved die, and they barely survived themselves. Neither is the hero in this story, this is a story without heroes. Instead, it's a story about people and how we can let emotions and trauma take such a hold in our lives that it makes us toxic and we end up ruining everything around us. The story wasn't executed perfectly and there were some genuinely bad parts of it (the sex scene was really, really bad), but I found the game to be really enjoyable and a story worth experiencing.

While part II didnt manage to surpass part I in narrative quality, it certianly presents one of the most emotional and gut wrenching experiences you can get from a video game. It is a bold move to put the player in the shoes of the killer of a beloved character, but by the time the story comes to an end it becomes apparent what a brilliant and powerful move this was. If you gave this game the chance it deserved (which most negative reviewers definately did not, especially not the ones who somehow managed to put out a review on the same day the game was released, meaning they probably didnt play it at all), you will undoubtedly experience a brave, heartfelt and thoughful roller-coaster ride. The story coupled with good gameplay and amazing worldbuilding makes this one of the best games I've ever played. For players unsure if they should play this game or not: I couldn't recommend that you ignore the negativity surrounding it and for you to play it for youreslf and make your own opinon of it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a massive fan of the first game, I will admit that the plot elements are challenging at first. Spoiler alert, losing major characters is a tough experience. However when you look at the grand scheme of things, I think the game is a magnificent experience when analyzing grief, loss, rage, and the toxic nature of revenge. I don’t penalize or judge a game based on the sexuality, gender, racial or ethnic makeup of characters. I don’t glorify either if it has a diversity of them. I simply look at a game and try to assess, from beginning to end, it’s quality as an experience, a character study, and as a overall story. In terms of gameplay, Part 2 has made drastic improvements compared to its predecessor. While some of the mechanics are not perfect, they still serve to improve upon the previous entry. I will level with you: the story is incredibly grim and to be honest, I would need to take a break every hour or so because I felt that the game’s events are pretty jolting, especially during the Ellie portion. I know a lot of users don’t like the shift in the game from its first and second part in terms of who the protagonist is. I actually find that to be pretty innovative and I think through that section of the game you understand it’s over arching theme as well as the political and human environment you play in. I would definitely give this game a try and form your own opinion. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last Of Us Part 2 was an emotional game for me, that took me on one hell of a journey full of tragic events, and moments that made me feel a little reluctant and uneasy. The fact that the game is so divisive makes the game much more unique and better in my opinion. Naughty Dog took some really bold decisions when it came to the story, and I for one enjoyed those decisions, and never did I think that I would play a game so personal, or would end up loving a character that I despised at the start of a game. The character development of Abby was one of the best things about the game, and this is where the game either makes or breaks for people playing it. If you are able to understand the character of Abby, then you are going to love the game and the choices it makes. But if you keep the death of Joel in your head, and refuse to let go the idea of revenge, then you are not going to enjoy this game. I think that the quote ‘There are no heroes in the world of Last of Us’ perfectly describes this game for me. It’s all about perspective, and the way you interpret the story is what makes all the difference. Yes Joel was a beloved character, and yes his death was painful, but the game needed his death, and I don’t think, Naughty Dog could’ve come up with a better story to justify the sequel. The Last of Us Part 2 is different from its predecessor, and is much more divisive and makes a lot of questionable and bold decisions, and these decisions are what make the game so appealing and unique to me. The same reason might lead you to hate the game, and that is completely fine. Art is meant to evoke feelings out of you, and just like every other good piece of art, it is polarizing. This is what makes The Last of Us Part 2 a masterpiece in my eyes. Naughty Dog have really outdone themselves and created a game that is so powerful and emotional that the story will stay with you long after the credits roll. The Ps4 has seen many great games during its life cycle, but I think that The Last of Us Part 2 will be forever remembered as a Masterpiece that did not shy away from doing things differently. Expand

The last off us parte 2 é um jogasso , a Sony acertou em cheio tanto em enredo quanto em gameplay e jogabilidade . Esqueci de fala mas os gráficos estão divinos até o momento esse game foi oque mais representou as expressões faciais dos personagens tão bem . Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played the first chapter in 2015. I bought this one on day 1. The game is truly unique in gameplay, graphics, lightning and story, and it's a pinnacle of this generation of consoles. I was waiting for this game A LOT and my expectations were very high (I bought the PS3 because of the original The Last of Us). Nonetheless, the game met my expectations. The only major problem that the game has is, in my opinion, HOW the story is told, and I mean the order and the pacing through which the game and the story present themselves. Sometimes, the tension and the pacing just drop down, interrupting a climax (for example when we switch from Ellie's point of view to Abby's). Moreover, I think that presenting both Abby's and Ellie's story chronologically by alternating and rotating between their points of views on a daily basis would have brought a greater experience and a deeper attachments to Abby's friends. Instead, in the way the game is presented, it's really hard to get attached to characters like Owen, for example, because we already know that Ellie is going to kill him in a few days. Apart from the pacing and the order the game is told, the game is a masterpiece and went for something completely different from the previous chapter, something that didn't please many users. I won't say what this game excels in, because we all already know. Oh, and I played the game twice and playing through Ellie's part the second time makes you understand better a lot of things, like for example, when WLF members are talking about searching for someone who escaped (which we know is Abby only after switching to Abby's part), or when WLF members talk about a sniper killing all their men (we know that sniper is Tommy only when we switch to Abby's part). This is another outcome of their narrative choice of telling first Ellie's point and view and THEN Abby's one. Expand

This is a game which you cannot watch on a Youtube/twitch stream, it needs to be played. I recently played through all 4 uncharted games, and replayed the last of us Part 1, to refresh my memory. I can honestly say Naughty dog has outdone themselves. I am sad to see the toxic culture of the gaming community base the quality of the game, on their beliefs on what is acceptable in society.

I did not rush through this game, it took me about 10 days to play, so after each session of playing I could actually digest what the hell had just happened, there remains alot to question in terms of the story line, but the biggest questions are answered, why, what when and who. I myself would love to see a third, heck even a fourth.

All in all, I recommend this game to those who seek to play it, and those who are familiar with story driven games.

Its been a long, long time since any piece of entertainment made me think about my own feelings in the way TLOU2 has. I can't say that I'll ever forgive Abby completely for what she did. But I can say that I understand her, and that I wished for her to overcome her pain. I think this story will grow on people over time as they come to terms with Joel's death. Like Ellie, we may not ever forgive those who have wronged us, but we can find a way to escape our own anger.

As expected from Naughty Dog, the game is a technical, artistic and audible masterpiece. Even though the PS5 is coming to us very soon, I expect that the bar set in this game will take a long time to raise.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would like to say it's almost been 2 weeks since I completed The Last of Us Part II. This is one of those games that you can't get out of your head and I have to say it truly stays there. This is Naughty Dogs post ambitious game ever and you can tell by the story decisions that are implemented into the game. I heard of one of the leaks beforehand and was so disgusted by what I saw, I almost didn't buy the game but I'm glad I gave it chance because it's not as bad as the leaks show it. Now for the big dead elephant in the room, Joel. When I saw Joel's death in the leaks I was so heartbroken and literally couldn't handle the truth of my second favorite game characters dying like that (first being Arthur Morgan). When I played the game I felt the hate go through my body and wanted Abby to die so badly. i understand this is controversial but I loved Ellie's arch in this game becoming into this killer. It showed how when Joel is removed in her life, she isn't the same person and the way the arch was implemented was pretty interesting in my opinion. I gotta admit when the middle happened, I was ready to kill Abby right there and then but then we switch to Abby's side. We get to see Abby's arch as the clock rewinds and we learn her side of the story plus why she had ambitions of killing Joel. Then as soon as you play more with her, you start to feel bad for her and kinda understand where she comes from. I have to say it's bold to make us play as the villain but that isn't true, there are no villains in The Last of Us universe because everyone is just trying to survive this world. It felt like Ellie's arch was Uncharted 4 has she has a goal and is trying to pursue it then Abby's is The Last of Us as Abby and Lev kinda like Joel and Ellie in the first game (gotta admit wasn't as strong as the iconic duo of Joel and Ellie). Then when it reaches the point of both characters trying to kill each other, I had a hard time trying to beat up Ellie but you saw Abby humanize sparing Ellie. As Ellie lives a better life after that with her lover, Dina you see she hasn't humanized and still has that killer inside of her as she can't fill the hole Abby created by taking away Joel. So Ellie goes to kill Abby and then the ultimate climax happens when both characters try to kill each other. I have to admit I wanted the pain of these two characters to stop and I have to admit in my opinion the ending was good as Ellie spares Abby by seeing a memory of herself forgiving Joel. The story was never about revenge, it was forgiveness and what it means to be human. That's when Ellie humanized. As Ellie goes back to her house she saw Dina had disappeared with her child with everything except Ellie's things. Then Ellie tries to play the guitar but has trouble playing it as she lost her fingers in the battle against Abby. Then you get that memory of her forgiving Joel and how that was stolen from her life, it almost gave me tears seeing that. Then it switches back to Ellie's normal life and sets the guitar then leaving the house seeing what happens in her journey. She ended up alone as that was her biggest fear. This game is bold and I didn't talk about everything because the game is so long. The Ellie and Joel flashbacks were one of the best parts of the game, those itself would be considered 10/10 for me. Overall the story was a 9/10 for me, it did have flaws but when I was open-minded I saw the game was truly something unique I've never seen before and I have to give them credit for that. Onto other things, the gameplay is excellent, it's super fun playing as both characters and trying to do amazing stunts with human factions plus infected. The graphics are by far one of the best a console can push, it is truly amazing looking at this game. The cinematography in this game is so breathtaking as you soak in everything this world has to offer, even though it wasn't open world, it looked massive. The music in this game I wonder consider to be better than the first. As actions kicks in the music set the tone and you actually feel like your there. Another thing not getting credit is the sound. My god, the sound is amazing, when you're on a boat hearing the water makes it feel like your really there. Everything in this game sounds amazing. All in all, I would give this game an 9/10. The narrative is thing that pushes the game and I enjoyed it more than other people. Everyone has their own opinion about this game and that should be respected. If you like or hate the game, don't bash others for that opinion. That is all I got and thank you for reading this! P.S I really recommend everyone to watch Girlfriend reviews and Nathan Zed's videos regarding The Last of Us Part II. Expand

I mean graphics and psychics. All details, even the smallest worked out perfectly. Ok, let’s speak about plot and storyline. I don’t understand, why so many people think the story is boring and stupid. Perhaps because they didn’t understand all morality and meaning that Neil Druckmann wanted to convey to them. Game has a very deep morality. It wanted to show us, what revenge can do. Ellie lost her fat mily: Joel, Dina, Tommi and AJ. And that revenge Beersheba more revenge. That’s allbreeds more revenge. Every single thing the developers set out to do with the story affected me in the way they had intended. Joel deserves the fate he was given, he was never a good guy. He had murdered and killed innocent people in the past and finally paid the price for his wrongdoings. I disliked playing as Abby at first, but once her reasonings were explained, I started to empathise with her, and by the ending I didn’t know who I wanted to die, I was probably leaning towards Abby killing Ellie, actually. I enjoyed the ending despite popular opinion. Ellie deserved to be alone after all the pain she caused everyone, seeking needless revenge for an act that was justified 10x over. even after murdering all of abbys friends, she still wasn’t satisfied. The last shot of her being unable to play guitar and realising that her last bit of connection with Joel was severed was heartbreaking and a good way to show her realising that seeking revenge caused her to lose everything. We don’t need a happy feel good ending all the time, and it seems like too many people struggle with empathy and things not turning out the way that they’d like. Phenomenal job in every single aspect of video game creation. I can’t stand scary games, but I couldn’t put this down because I was so obsessed. Music was incredible, combat was brutal, smooth and enjoyable. The graphics are the best I’ve ever seen and the attention to detail is unmatched. For anyone to give this anything under an 7 after experiencing the gameplay even with their moaning about the story is laughable. Expand

Si el juego nos plateara primero jugar con Abby, sin conocer los sucesos de Jackson, y después usar a Ellie, la tensión y la historia sería mucho mejor. Gameplay was quite the same as the first game, and in my opinion I'm glad they didn't change much to it. It feels like you're continuing on from the first game which is great! The story will definitely divide players as some people expect a different ending for Joel and Ellie's adventure. I seriously recommend not having any expectations at all and instead look for life-changing symbolism throughout your playthrough. From the start, the story is gripping and has a far more complex, engaging structure than its predecessor. The game flashes backwards frequently to provide the context for decisions Ellie (and others) just made. The result is a very well-developed universe where genuine character development is possible. I won't spoil anything, of course, but TLOU2 is a treat from the first to the last minute. Some reviews on here and elsewhere are hard on the game for its social justice, LGBTQ themes (again no spoilers from me). Such bad press is unwarranted and unfortunate considering the genuine quality on display by the team at Naughty Dog. I'm pretty sure that some gay/transgender people would survive the apocalypse, and the population left around to deal with the infected would harbour some of the prejudices and presuppositions our society faces today. The game does a good job of demonstrating how existing issues survive the outbreak. Anyways...story is top-notch, and the performance by Ashley Johnson as Ellie is even better than before. TLOU2 will go down as one hell of a final hurrah for the PS4. I do hope there's a Part 3 on PS5, if, however, they can find a story as compelling as Part 2. If not, then Part 2 will be the finale of a terrific, very memorable series. Expand

    WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
    ***********

Many people dislike the fact that Joel dies and the way he does. Of course I do, too. But if you were expecting a fairytale where everyone lives happily ever after, then you didn't even understand the ending of the first game.

I think the main point people who dislike the game are missing is the parallel between Joel and Ellie's story and Abby's story.
Don't get me wrong, I HATED Abby, but at least I understand the motives behind her actions. I think the game makes a great job putting things into perspective. She isn't just a mindless evil villain, who enjoys killing. She is also a daughter, a friend, a PERSON.
Imagine she, her friends and her father were the protagonists of the first game. Then we would be rooting for them instead.
It seems that people missed the similarities between Abby/Lev and Joel/Ellie, too... but I want to keep this review short, so find them yourself ;)

Speaking of Joel and Ellie, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to develop their relationship after the ending of the first game. Those flashback-scenes are truly amazingly crafted tear-jerkers: beautiful, heartwarming and bittersweet.

It was brutal playing as Ellie in that fight on the beach. I kept just backing away, as I felt that Ellie should realise that they both have lost people that they love, that they are both the same inside, and that all this retaliation is pointless. I guess she did in the end but it should have been before that fight when they were both on their knees. I know Ellie wants that final revenge that Abbey got with Joel, but Ellie forgave Joel (or at least tried to understand him) for stopping the Fireflies from killing her, did Ellie finally also resonate with Abbey's hurt, when it was almost too late? It's all so tough and heartbreaking for them all. I now want to follow Abbey and Lev after they leave on the boat. I'm sad that Abbey can't go and visit Owen in the Aquarium.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would give this game an 8 out of 10. My reason behind this is that the gameplay was outstanding. The soundtrack was outstanding. The story not so much. First, I think that the way Joel died was not an honorable death for a character we were all so attached to. He deserved to die of old age or a natural cause rather than being beaten to death. Second, Abby. I find the idea for being able to play as the antagonist interesting but not a lot of people dig playing as the character who murdered a character we loved. When playing as her I felt that maybe it was only there to prolong game time. I think maybe little cutscenes from time to time would have been better. Third, the ending. Personally I was okay with Ellie not killing Abby. Only because it was supposed to show that Ellie still had a good side to her. The part of her she had when Joel was around. Although it did make me feel like that last few hours of the game were pointless. I think they should have just ended it at the point where Ellie had a home and family. I also hated the fact that when she returned home, everything and everyone she loved left her. Anyways that was my opinion on the game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the best games released this generation. The slow paced start of the game works well, and getting a glimpse of the life Ellie and Joel have had over the last five years in Jackson is great. When the game gets really going you see all the different game mechanics work together well, and the emotional beats of the story work really well.

Ashley Johnson delivers again with her portrayal of Ellie, giving a nuanced, emotional, and layered performance throughout the game which really makes you connect with the character. The story works well on the whole, hitting plenty of emotional beats and memorable moments, with only a minor criticism relating to the mid game perspective shift. The Abby character, well played by Laura Bailey, works well enough, but the real strength of the game for me is the journey Ellie goes on in her quest for revenge. The other new characters of Dina and Jesse work really well, and are great additions to the series, and their interactions with Ellie give you a new perspective on Ellie, Lev though feels more of a narrative device to show you Abbys redemptive side. The cutscenes are all expertly done, and the last scene of Ellie and Joel being one that will live long in my memory.

On the technical side of things this game is amazing. The graphics are the best on the system, with realistic character models and environments, and the animation is top drawer. The game environments and level design are some of the, if not the best when it comes to this type of game. The sound design and soundtrack is also another strength the game has, evoking emotional responses throughout the game. The gameplay and game mechanics are some of the best in a third person action adventure, with everything feeling intuitive, and the various weapons all feel great to use against the enemies. Improvements in npc AI also is a welcome addition, offering more challenging gameplay.

In closing I’d just say this is a great game worthy of the praise it has had, and though the death of Joel early on is a bone of contention for many who love that character, it is the driving force behind the game and why it’s easy to see Ellie’s motivations. At the games end I was left emotionally shattered by the trials and trauma Ellie had gone through, and was left hoping she was heading back to Jackson after leaving the abandoned farm.

Wow, well what can I say about this game. This game is intense, it is infuriating, it is ingenious, it is immoral, it is incredible. There's a lot of words there beginning with I. I did that, as I see a lot of negative reviews using I. "I wouldn't of done that". "I don't agree with that" etc. Now, I'm not discounting ALL the negative reviews, people are entitled to their opinions. However when you give a game a 5 out of 10 (hell less than a 7), because you say it's not what "you would have done". Sorry my dudes, but the game isn't about you.

An example of this that I'll give, and I won't refer to them by name. This reviewer said things like, they wouldn't have done that. They didn't understand or couldn't relate to, how the main character would do what they did, because of what happens to them. That they didn't like how part 2, forced them to play as if they killed a certain character at the end of part 1, and they're adamant they didn't. Things like that last part, are what you need to keep an eye out for. You have to kill that character at the end of part one, it's not a choice, part 1 forces you to do that. You can't complete the game if you don't. So straight away, you know this reviewer is full of it. Then the fact that they can't separate what they would do irl, from what a character would do in a video game. So to them, the narrative of the game is a mess, that doesn't make sense, so they give it a 5. You can't do that.

To me, the story of the last of us, is about the characters in the game, what decisions they would make, faults and all. Ultimately, it's about the story Naughty Dog wanted to tell, we're just along for the ride. Most of these negative reviews are attention seeking trolls, and review bombers, but not all.

The last of us part 2, took everything that was groundbreaking with the first game, and cranked it up. This game is one of the most technologically impressive games of the generation. It's level, sound and environmental design is exceptional, it's **** beautiful, to put it simply. Combat is fluid, and probably the best I've played this gen. Every encounter is harrowing. Each kill is brutal, and the fact that every enemy has a name, which the other npcs will call out when finding their body, just adds to horror. I won't even touch on the feels about the dogs. [Insert sad face]

The story, however divisive, is one of the best I've ever experienced. That being said, when I think about the story. Sometimes I loved it, and at times, I straight up hated it. Which just made me love it more, because it provoked such an emotional response from me. That's the point. They perfectly crafted the game to do that. They want you to feel every moment, love and hate. That's what makes some of the story beats hit so hard, and gameplay choices make sense, once you've completed the game.

That's the biggest thing. PLEASE complete the game, then make your decision. Multiple times even. You can't take the leaks at face value. Some are true, some are just straight out lies, but all are taken out of context. Once you've played through the game, with all the facts, what Naughty Dog did with the story, makes perfect sense. You can see everyone's side of the story, you can understand everyone's motivations, and why they do what they do, or don't in some cases.

Best game of 2020! Consecrates not only as one of the best stories ever told in a video game, but in all the media dedicated to narrative. With a strong and cohesive history, focused on one of humanity's darkest and most harmful feelings

    This game is true masterpiece.

I have not yet seen better graphics, animations, physics, sound design and art style in one place, at least for PS4 game. Gameplay is great, perfect mix between stealth and action game, but sure there is a room for some improvement. In regards to the story - I really don't get what's all the fuzz about. I enjoyed every second of it. It has unique

All those 0/10 reviews are completely irrelevant, even if someone disagrees with the story there is no excuse to review bomb it.

    Thank you Naughty Dog

The gameplay is fun, the scenes are beautiful, and the music just adds to it all. Playing it again currently! Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
