    No había querido calificar el juego porque me esperaba un terrible final como la mayoría de los borreguitos andaba diciendo y oh sorpresa, el final hizo que se me enchinara la piel y hasta sentimiento me dio.. gente, no se claven con temas ni controversias, el juego es una obra maestra y ahora si que no cualquier idiota lo va a comprender.

    Naugthy dog did not disappoint. Part 2 feels like a large extension of part 1. This game should be played with as little previous knowledge as possible. Sit back and enjoy the story unfold before you. This is one of the best storytelling games produced so far. I hope that everyone involved at Naugthy dog can take a well deserved vacation now that the game finally released.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us II had impossible standards to meet. By 2013, Naughty Dog already established themselves as capable of producing some of the most engaging and boundary-pushing studios in all of gaming with classics like Crash and Uncharted 2, but the Last of Us cemented them in the video game hall of fame for all time. While the game had its flaws, it told a gripping and memorable story which inspired countless great games for years to come. They had peaked, no question. But then, Uncharted 4. *EXPLOSIONS*. The presentation in this game is off the charts. The graphics are gorgeous, and the incredible performances by every actor, especially Nolan North and Emily Rose sold me at every moment. Uncharted 4 tells a roller coaster of a story which kept me glued to the screen the whole time. Truly, it is one of the highlights of storytelling in video games to this day. The game was also pretty fun to back that up. So, is it even possible to top the storytelling of Uncharted 4? For me, no, but I do still think the Last of Us II is an enthralling experience. The visuals are fluid and stunning. Everything is easy to navigate and nothing takes you out of the experience just like in the first game. The combat is smooth, but it is also absolutely brutal. I understand now why this game is about hate. Every act of violence feels personal, raw, and real. People will beg for their lives, they’ll scream, they’ll cry, and the performances absolutely sucked me into the experience and sold me on what an absolute cold-blooded killer Ellie is becoming. Some of these gunfights can go on for a long time and by the time I finally gained the upper hand, I felt like Ellie. I was going to make these bastards suffer. The levels themselves are also bigger, more open, and more made to explore and experiment with than in either Last of Us 1 or Uncharted 4. The story, while not as clean or as elegant as the first game’s, is still outstanding in its own right. I thought Abby served as a clever parallel to Joel from the first game and a mirror to Ellie in this game. I originally thought that there was no way I would ever come around, but eventually I did, and that made the whole rest of the story all the more enthralling. I don’t really understand why people are mad. Joel's death of course is painful and makes the player angry, but that is sort of why it's such a brilliant start for a revenge story. Furthermore, the way that the game evolves after his death makes it feel sufficiently weighty and meaningful, and it is only 1 of many, many painful instances in this game. Characters you care about during the game will make choices that you don't agree with and at the end of the day it is up to you to attempt to understand and empathize with them. At the end, all I could do was simply hope that they would make it to the other side. I haven’t been this invested in a game’s story since Red Dead 2, so I give Last of Us II an 8 out of 10.… Expand

    Seeing a lot of hate for the story, yes it may not have been to everyones taste but, I thought it was good. However, i dont think it was perfect or close to it for that matter but, i dont think it is as bad as people make out. I do think it couldve been polished more (story wise). The ending was not satisfying for me, lacked any closure, perhaps thats what they wanted, who knows.     Nevertheless, story aside, the gameplay was amazing and captivating. The graphics are outstanding. The sounds and music are brilliant. Finally, the animation and the acting are amazing for a game, felt like watching a movie. Everything else 10/10

    The last of us 2 makes huge improvements over the first games repetitive and sometimes dull gameplay, whilst having an incredibly well written and phenomenally acted story. Its narrative isn't as air tight as the original and some minor character interactions feel off at times, but this tale of revenge and forgiveness is not one fans should miss, nor one that they will forget anytime soon.

    I give this game a perfect score.
    I enjoyed my whole playthrough and I think the writers took real risks with the story, a choice they should be celebrated for.
    Thoroughly enjoyed this game, I recommend it highly. Congrats to everybody who helped to make such a beautiful game.

This game will take you approximately 25 hrs to beat, so anyone who published a review on the day it released, is either someone who never played it, or speedran through it, ignoring the story beats. That said, I love this game. I thought the story was great, gameplay solid, music and graphics are outstanding. I never felt like everyone we knew, would survive a second go around, to think so would be unrealistic in this apocalyptic world. That said, deaths were poignant and impact full. Pacing can be off at times. little things like safe cracking without the codes, and a characters fear of heights and how is it portrayed are a wonderful touch. As for length, I feel like they could have double dipped on us. By that i mean they could have put most of the second have out as dlc at a later date, but they didnt. I think we got two games in one here, and i am very happy with it.… Expand

    Great Game! Yes, I was worried that Naughty Dog was gonna f the Dog on this one, even while playing it I worried all the way through, but the Game is solid! There are 2 or 3 moments when you feel like it might be straying, but fear not, it is extremely well done. Stop looking at leaks,( I avoided them on purpose ) and play the finished game. Definitely worth it!

If you're homophobic and sexist and refuse to play a game where the main character isn't a male and where most of the sex is non-heteronormative, you'll be unable to understand the plot of this game. If you are literally anyone else who actually paid attention to the story in part 1 and understand that Joel's actions were bound to have consequences and that Joel was a flawed human being, you'll be very interested in this game's storyline. The story is very innovative for this medium in that it makes the player think carefully about their character's actions and has you play as the villain almost as much as it has you play as the protagonist. At one point you play as the villain and defeat the protagonist. The game also draws comparisons between the villain and Joel and suggests that Joel is not so different from the woman who kills him. In fact, if Joel were in Abby's shoes, he undoubtedly would have done the same thing. Like Joel found Ellie, Abby finds Lev and grows as human being, finds a reason to live again. This is a game that really breaks new ground in storytelling. They found a way to tell a story that can only be done with a videogame. The exploration of how people deal with loss and the consequences is perfectly executed. It's also an intellectually, emotionally and morally challenging experience. Players who hate this game don't want a game that forces them to think critically.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I finished the first The Las of Us back in 2013, it left me with a bittersweet taste, I guess for everyone. We knew it wasn't a happy ending at all.The game calls Joel's morale into question, however he and Ellie gain our affection.

    This sequel plays more with morale and perspective on the situation, in theory, so that our opinion is broader and not just supportive of one character. However this is a dirty move, this tactic only creates a conflict within us.

    At the end of the campaign I feel mentally broken, sentimentally bad, with a desolate ending. Yes, I learned more about revenge and forgiveness, the consequences of decisions, and how the world is still a place where the strongest survive, where there seems to be no good or bad.

    Only a couple of moments didn't quite convince me, and the little weight of the music (compared to the first title) were the bad details to highlight. Must Play.    … Expand

    For me, this is the best action and combat that has ever existed for a third person game, in fact I would go as far to say it is the best gameplay of any game of all time. This game really stretches the limits of what a game can be. This is without a doubt a next gen game not a ps4 game. The graphics are spectacular.

    Naughty Dog have really set the bar with the level design as well, the level design is so complex and every encounter can be played out 5-6 different ways.

    Now the story. Without spoiling it. It just didn't resonant with me, it was so dark. Too dark. The story focuses on revenge but also redemption which I think a lot of people miss the mark about. However, the problem is, can some acts be redeemed? For me, no. Due to this, I think some of the characters remain unlikable due to their actions and I could not forgive them and I felt like Naughty Dog were trying to force you to like certain characters due to their struggles but I could not forgive. That is just me though. Everyone will experience the story differently. This game really made me question my morality or what is right and wrong. I think everyone will interpret this game differently which is another strength of the story. However my final closing thought of the story is, not only did I not really enjoy it and it didn't win me over, the concepts the game and how it tries to test you with are actually not that deep and I do not think anything the story does could be classed as 'new' or 'ground breaking'.

    This game does not deserve the hate it has received, you can't dislike a story so much that you ignore all of the pros of this game. That is why you have to take user reviews with a pinch of salt, or in this case a truck load of salt.    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece in storytelling. A winning achievement for gaming, this is a story that couldn't be told as effectively any other medium. When i say masterpiece i don't imply that this isn't a game without faults, but in my experience, i'm yet to find a game that i can't find faults in. Even in games others consider masterpieces. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the game clouded an experience that had to be played without any sort of bias. The hate for the game dates back before any of the leaks had occurred. My theory regarding the reason for this i prefer not to discuss. The bottom line is that people were making dumb arguments before the game had come out, and soon the consensus became "bad game". It certainly didn't help that some people misremember/misinterpret the ending of the first one. They think that Joel is a good person that deserved nothing but the best, when the game makes it clear that Joel was a broken selfish man that admitted to murdering innocents for personal gain in the past. They try to justify his actions at the end, when Ellie herself condemns him for disrespecting her only dream in life. In short, it was never about Ellie, it was that he wasn't strong enough to make the right choice. People mistake the fact that he is an amazingly written likable character with him being a good person. This is all to say that, to me, and i think to any who understood the first game, his death was a logical event, justified by the story itself. If Ellie gets on the path of vengeance over the death of her parental figure, isn't it logical that there would be people wanting to kill Joel when he killed countless fathers? And not all of them were bad people. The main argument people will make is that his death was badly written or humiliating (well yes, sorry, this is a realistic setting, his death had meaning to his character and that's all that matters). This is incorrect, by any standard. But you've have probably heard it a million times, or experienced it yourself. Well this is the effect that bias has on people. I have written more than 6000 characters explaining why nothing about his death was badly written, or explaining any supposed "plot hole". I am yet to come across someone who can prove any plot hole. There's a 5000 character max for this review, so i can't post it. But just by watching the scene again i'm sure you can come to that same conclusion. "Joel gave his name like an idiot, he would never have done that" Wrong. Abby already knew his name. Tommy told her. Why? Well excuse Tommy for not thinking of a false name when being on the verge of being eaten by a horde with slim chances of survival. He just didn't imagine that he's talking to the daughter of a Firefly Joel murdered 4 years ago, and that she somehow knows where he lives, his name, but *not how he looks*. Other people will say that Joel wouldn't have trusted Abby. And i agree, until you watch the scene and realize there was literally no other choice. It was trusting her or dying. Literally. That was their best and only chance. That's what they say. Moving along, people say that it's stupid that Ellie doesn't kill Abby at the end. The context needed to explain this requires 25 hours of story that lead up to that moment. The reason is simple. Abby doesn't deserve to die because she has learned from her actions, feels guilt, and has paid a tremendous price (people often forget Ellie kills ALL of her friends and "boyfriend"). And then, she spared Ellie. For the second time. She proved merciful by not killing her at the start (because for her it was about justice, Joel deserved death, but let Ellie live, because she had nothing to do with it). And then she proved merciful once again, because she knows she doesn't win anything by killing her, it will just make things worse, even if Ellie killed everyone she cared about. And then you have Ellie's side, where she gradually realizes that she has become a monster, a torturer, no better than Abby herself, someone who would hurt her loved ones if it meant getting revenge. She says so herself, at some point, it stopped being about Joel. She knows she can't justify what she's doing, and so she spares Abby, because she knows it won't bring Joel back. If anything, it will kill whatever trace of humanity Joel left in her.
    And still, there's so much to say, so much to explain, justify, because people just can't get enough of hating the game. Some hate the game for external reasons, some hate it because they heard it's bad, some hate it because they played it but didn't give it a fair chance, some hate it because they didn't understand the first one, and some hate it because of justifiable reasons. I could make an equally long review all of the virtues of the game, and some criticisms that i have, but hey, who will even read it. I just wished they had given the game a fair chance.     This game is amazing. Emotionally draining but Amazing! It subverts expectations and improves the gameplay of the original and has some of the best combat and graphics im any modern game.

    The narrative is just incredible. It's like a Roller coaster of emotions. This game brings a lot of questions about what means in life, and just deliver to us an amazing narrative with incredible and wonderful protagonists. It's the deserved conclusion for the first game, maybe being even better than this one.

Guess ps4's gpu can't handle it on the better level. -The main story is controversial, but I personally like it. It reminds me of Game of Thrones when anybody of the beloved characters can be killed    Well, it was quite a ride.

Были моменты в сюжете когда я сам готов был поставить игре около 6 и не больше, но пройдя её полностью я понимаю что это потрясающая игра. Она рвёт пуканы, что вполне может делать хороший сюжет. Он неоднозначный, он меняющийся, он заставляет вас смотреть на вещи которые вам неприятны под другим углом.
    Вообще моя    Прошёл игру на максимальной сложности, заняло около 40 часов... да, я долгий. Были моменты в сюжете когда я сам готов был поставить игре около 6 и не больше, но пройдя её полностью я понимаю что это потрясающая игра. Она рвёт пуканы, что вполне может делать хороший сюжет. Maybe it’s not the Joel and Ellie story some people were looking for, but that doesn’t mean that by default that it’s bad. The game is about the cycle of violence, it’s consequences, and the many different perspectives. There are no good guys or bad guys in this story. I expect this will be my game of the year and may even be second most memorable game of the generation behind RDR2. It did something no game has ever done, the character switch half way through made me so mad I thought I was going to quit. After not long I liked Abby and was back on board. This was not like MGS2 like many are comparing it to, Raiden played much differently. After the first fewer hours on the ship that game nver won me back.

    My only complaints are that I felt like some of the traveling in Seattle was dragged out for too long and the disconnection between Abby and the WLF felt rushed. I cannot understand these low user scores, there's no way they played this incredible game.    … Expand

    Gameplay,story,characters and etc.Everything is in high quality. Even though this game for some extend has political reference,it doesn't affect to the game and to storyline.It has great gameplay and i enjoyed it. My recommendation is to not play this game without finishing the first part.

    Saw all the mixed reviews and I usually follow the people's choice as I find them honest. This game ROCKS . The only part I didn't like was when it ended as all games do.. Yes the story is twisted and tears your heart apart but with a story like that I won't be forgetting it like most games ..

If you enjoyed the first one please do yourself a favor and don't listen to the review bombing (the game was doomed before it released) and play this game. It will move you.

Abby and Ellie both have great hearts, sadly Abby lost it, and after killing the certain character she was doing everything she could to make up for it.. when i saw her story, it was full of happiness,a bit of sadness and anger. It takes balls to do something like what happened in The last of us 2, and that is why the game is and always will be above 8/10 no matter how many negative reviews there will be.     Tem temas fortes e que incomoda aos mais céticos, muito provável por isso que vem sendo massacrado nas notas de usuários. Pra mim é um um dos melhores jogos que já joguei na vida e merece um 10.

But that is how this world works, it is brutal and really makes you realize a sense of loss. Something Ellie couldn't fully understand in the first game, but by the end of part 2, she realizes it.

    Unfortunate, that she took the path of anger, and no regard for human life to get there, its almost Walking Dead-ish in that sense with the introduction of Negan and how it affected characters we loved.

    All things said, with graphics, sound, animation, the world created, and just everything together its an 8 for me, but I will bump it to account for some of the ridiculous hateful scores.    … Expand

Es un juego muy cruel, que no teme quitarte soportes desde un inicio, te rompe el corazon y ves como esa ellie dulce que aparecia en el TLoU 1 va perdiendo la cabeza de a poco en sed de vengarse. No es un juego perfecto, pero si muy bien logrado en todos aspectos, mensaje, empatia con personajes, musica, graficos, etc. Le daria 9,5.

    Muchos se quejas por la muerte de Joel diciendo que no fue heroica o trajica, pero no saben que todas las muertes son sin previo aviso o antiheroicas. Jesse muere en una cinematica como cualquier otra y en la misma cinematica nos dan a entender que Tommy tambien. No hay muertes valientes aca, es todo realista.
    La historia esta muy bien guionizada y escrita, sentis lastima y enojo por lo que sucede. Y el final es simplemente desolador, saber que Ellie renuncio a una vida de paz con Dina para matar a Abby cuando la habia dejado vivir 2 veces. Se quedo sin la daga que le dio su madre (que era lo unico que tenia ademas de la carta), sin 2 dedos que no dejan tocar la guitarra como antes y la unica cosa que le quedaba de Joel, pierde una oportunidad con Dina y se cumplio su mayor temor: estar sola.
    No solo eso, Tommy tambien lo perdio todo, Maria lo dejó, no puede usar una pierna, quedo ciego de un ojo y en lo ultimo que lo vimos, mando a Ellie a matarla a Abby.
    Lo unico que le agregaria es que Abby se de cuenta de las consecuencias que le trajo buscar venganza contra Joel, perdio todos sus amigos, inicio una guerra entre Scars y WLF por su culpa, (ya que Tommy mato unos Scars, y ellos pensaron que eran WLF), se convirtio en Joel mandando a todo su grupo a la mierda con tal de proteger a Lev y ni siquiera hay un dialogo de arrepentimiento o culpa o dandose cuenta que hizo lo que hizo Joel. Pero supongo que veremos eso si es que sacan un DLC o TLoU 3.
    En mi caso no empatice completamente con Abby pero si la entendí, y hasta senti que Ellie tenia que morir. Y Naughty Dog hizo bien su trabajo si dudaste aunque sea de que estaba pasando realmente y quien esta siendo mas humano y coherente.    … Expand

I loved almost every second of the game.. the way Ellie loses focus on what's important in exchange for her hateful feelings and also Abby's journey for revenge and ultimatly gaining someone to care, really care for. It kinda reminded me of Joel's journey in the first game of being a real **** to caring about someone again.. Abby goes thru the same thing actually, not as fleshed out as Joel story was but still..But the ending got botched because even tho I understand that Ellie goes out for a last chance to revenge Joel (even having settled, raising a child and having a life) she doesn’t sees it thru in the final second.. so that’s something I didn’t quite get behind. But overall a solid experience, lot’s of tearjerking moments, beautiful grafics and wonderful gameplay!!!… Expand

    Wow...I finished it this morning and I can't stop thinking about it.I've never been this invested and immersed in a game before, I can barely find my words.

    The visuals are out of this world and envoirments are huge with an insane attention to details.Every few minutes I had to stop and take the view in, not to mention how every place is packed with notes/items that tell stories of the people who once lived there.
    I was initially dissapointed with the story after reading all the leaks and the ending and even considered cancelling my preorder, but I couldn't because I pre-downloaded it, so I went into it expecting a great game with a terrible story.I was very, very wrong.Once I saw how everything unfolds I was blown away, the story is great, characters are extremly well written and even the ending, wich to me seemed irredeemable, turned out to be amazing.I'm never trusting leaks ever again, I can't believe I almost didn't play this.
    To me this is a masterpiece that surpasses the first game in every aspect, and it's without a shadow of a doubt my game of the generation.    … Expand

    As a person who has played The Last of Us (1) 7 times and generally avoids any sort of spoilers,I just gotta say that this game gave me a blast. I enjoyed every single hour of it. It really soaks me into the world of the Last of Us,which I really love once more.
    Just play it by yourself and dont get stuck in thish hate.

    For me it's 10/10 and nothing will ever change that, i love this game, this world and every breathtaking moment was amazing and scary at the same time and for that thank you Naughty Dog for this unique and wonderful story.

I forgot how little dialogue there actually is between Ellie and Joel and how much of the game is spent running around in silence. I have heard a lot of people saying they loved the first game but hated the second one; yet many of the flaws they passionately criticize in this new release are very much present in the original. Personally I thought part two was a very smart continuation of the story that answered many questions from the 1st game. It also provided ample fuel for speculation and discussion, similar to the ending of the original. Having played both games back to back, I can say that they actually match up well and are directly intertwined in fundamental ways that I found satisfying as a longtime fan of the original.

    I took my time with this game and it is a BIG game. The amount of content provided blows away almost all similarly priced games and delivers an exceptional amount of value for $60. Coming from someone who thought Uncharted 4 was a blast but ended too suddenly, the scope of the Last of us 2 allows you to fully immerse yourself in the world. The documents and collectibles available in the game are actually fun and engaging this time around, and seriously help to flesh out the story and add atmosphere. Collectibles were a major disappointment in the original and I was thrilled to see Naughty Dog put much more effort into them this time around. I enjoyed exploring every single zone to fully take in the visuals and discover hidden secrets, and it felt rewarding to do so.

    Speaking of visuals, this game is stunning from beginning to end. It is by far the best looking game of this generation and even people who hate the story can't help but praise how damn good this thing looks. The frame rate remains silky smooth even in the largest open spaces and during frantic combat. Not once did a technical glitch break my immersion and I always felt fully in control of my character. The variety of locations and color pallets will make you stare in awe, sometimes for minutes at a time.

    After replaying the original, it was clear to me that combat needed improvement. Part 2 improves upon the original's game play in almost every way. It is tense and brutal, but also carries with it a huge amount of variety and player choice. Your character has much more momentum and when your stealth plan breaks down, you can sprint and hide and ambush even in the heat of battle. The game also features an incredibly good checkpoint system that consistently updates your progress mid encounter, but that will also allow you to completely start over if you wish. Restarting from your checkpoint takes less than 2 seconds which allows you to easily rectify a missed headshot that alerts the whole camp. I found myself using this feature often so that I could play through each encounter in a way that felt tactical and satisfying. I never lost more than a minute of progress and load times were basically nonexistent. Although the combat is some of the most realistically portrayed violence in a game, it never felt too over the top or in bad taste. If you shoot someone in the head they die instantly; if you shoot someone in the neck it is also an instant kill but they sputter and choke for a few seconds before falling silent. It added a certain realism but never made me feel uncomfortable. I actually had fun much the same way adults enjoy a good R rated movie such as gladiator for realistically portraying violence.

    Finally to address the story. It is complicated, non-linear and gives the player many opportunities to draw their own conclusions and make their own judgments. I must mention that this ambiguity was openly praised in the original, and what made the original's ending so good is undeniably present in part 2. Personally I found the story mature, heartfelt, tragic, and believable. I didn't cry the way I did during parts of the original, but I very much enjoyed the expertly crafted tale. You will not end this game with a feeling of "OMG I have chills" such as I felt upon completing Bioshock Infinite or the original TLOU. Instead this story is very much a sum of its parts that leaves you pondering and recalling details long after completion. I felt a little let down by the end, but the longer I think about it, the more everything seems to tie together into a masterful work of art. It is not perfect, but is so carefully crafted that I don't feel in a position to point out a specific change or flaw, for doing so would potentially ruin the cohesive tale and emotional impact of the game.

    In conclusion, very few games match the high bar Naughty Dog has set. If you absolutely hate exploration, looting, 3rd person shooting and complicated stories I can understand a 8/10 review.

Very few bugs I have encountered and mostly visual, did not compromise gameplay, everything is very smooth and polished, I don’t think this is a surprise by ND. Story is a bad 4/10 or better a 3/10, and story is very important in this kind of games. I get the protesting with the zeroes and I think it is well deserved, especially after all the fake 10s the video games journalists have given. I can understand some people giving 10, but there should have been some 8s at least. I don’t know if journalists are paid by developers or if they don’t have the balls to say that a game’s story is bad and not interesting even if it is expected to be great. Or worse, are they scared to say that a story is bad even if it’s sprinkled with LGBTQ+ elements? By the way making a **** story does not make those important social problems a good service… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
