    Truly happy to see eventually somebody’s brave enough to tell a story like this. The game’s an absolute perfection in any aspect of its creation & the narrative which has become very divisive now, is challenging as it was intended to be. Loved it!

    I managed to avoid all spoilers and reviews but was aware of some bad reviews for this game. I am happy I did as you only get to experience things for the first time once. I finished it yesterday so thought i'd check out reviews on YouTube and Reddit etc and was genuinely surprised at the hate thrown at this game. I'm just a bloke from West Yorkshire so what do i know, but I loved it. TheI managed to avoid all spoilers and reviews but was aware of some bad reviews for this game. I am happy I did as you only get to experience things for the first time once. I finished it yesterday so thought i'd check out reviews on YouTube and Reddit etc and was genuinely surprised at the hate thrown at this game. I'm just a bloke from West Yorkshire so what do i know, but I loved it. The atmosphere created by the music and environment was tense, scary and beautiful. I was moved and hurt by the story. I empathised with most of the character, feared Ellie, was gut wrenched many times even though I knew I the reason for the heart ache were actions I had carried out hours before. Yes it is a bit long in parts, there were times that i could only play for about an hour before taking a break, sometimes this was due to the stress, other times it was because I wanted to savor it.

    As a piece of media there is no way this is a 0-5 game. If you play games to get lost in a world, forget about your job, or to waste some time then you cannot go wrong with it. Thoroughly enjoyable and I can honestly say I feel a bit empty now I am no longer playing it.    … Expand

It's such a journey mixed of sarcasm, hatred, vengeance and forgiveness. It tells that the story doesnt just revolve in the central characters. It tells you that everybody has their cause and that nakes the story so complicated yet epic. Thank you Naughty Dog, I'm so thrilled on whats next for Ellie's realistic journey.… Expand

I find it interesting that most people who scored the game 0/10 pretty much had nothing to say except for that they hate women with muscles, that Ellie happens to like another woman, or that there is no character development at all. Makes me wonder if they actually played the game from start to finish or if they just jumped up on the hate train. Here is my take as a person who absolutely loved the first game and have been waiting patiently for the second part. And boy do they start with a kick to your gut. I read that the story is a lot darker than the last one, and it sure is.

    People talk about character development as if it's supposed to go from one extreme to the other, but only from bad to good, from immature to experienced, from follower to leader. And for parts of TLOU2, that is true. Abby, first introduced as the person we're supposed to hate, who killed Joel, goes from a cold, rational, revenge seeking woman to some who starts to emphasize with people who are supposed to be her enemies. Her story with Lev is one of my favourite parts, and really shows how she went from killing enemy kids to doing everything she can to protect 2 strangers.

    Ellie on the other hand goes from having it all, friends, a "father", a safe home and even a blossoming relationship to slowly descending into the madness of revenge, willing to give up her happiness and future in the pursuit of what she perceives as salvation. Whether people like it or not, that too is character development. In a way, they switched places over the course of the story. Did my alignment change as well? I can't say. All I can say though is that the last fight **** broke my heart, in the best way possible that a game could achieve. What else is there to say? I loved the story, the fighting is awesome (same concepts as the last one but adding in the option to play zombies and enemies against each other is amazing, the music really manages to capture the feel and the graphics, well, it's Naught Dog. Was I annoyed at the fact that I suddenly had to play as my enemy after the first act? Sure. But that didn't deter me from finishing the game, and I sure am glad I didn't.

    Overall I can say that this game tugged my heartstrings just like the first one did, and it greatly saddens me that people can't get over their own bigotry and enjoy the game for what it is. But if you're gonna be upset at women with big muscles, sure, skip this one. But if you do decide to play it, I promise it will be worth it.    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece and a must-play! Even better than the first one. It's a game that's heartwrenching, brutal and scary, but also deeply about love in all its different ways. Pure brilliance in a game and a story!

    Having just played Part 1 before finishing Part 2, I would have to say they are both equally amazing. It would seem people are romanticizing Part 1 so much they never gave Part 2 a chance.

    Part 2 was clearly a segue to Part 3. People need to relax for a minute before they write such angry reviews in mass that Part 3 is never made based on a false notion from Internet trolls.

    A lot of issues I've noticed are centred around the story. Whether you love or hate this game depends really on if you get on board with the narrative direction the story takes the player.

    Naughty Dog make some extremely bold choices and I have to say I understand why people take issue with the story.

    For me though it was perfect...

    No matter how hard they try to **** this game, it's immersive, it's rich, and it's huge. The details are amazing, artistic design, encounters and animations are smooth and have lots of hard work. Narrative choices are brave and the characters are living the world. The feeling of bitterness and also love follows you till you finish it. Then it lefts you there alone. Despite all the mithicalNo matter how hard they try to **** this game, it's immersive, it's rich, and it's huge. The details are amazing, artistic design, encounters and animations are smooth and have lots of hard work. Narrative choices are brave and the characters are living the world. The feeling of bitterness and also love follows you till you finish it. Then it lefts you there alone. Despite all the mithical atmosphere you play in, all the good fight mechanics and swiftness of animations, all the risky yet brave plot, all the effort to bring the answers we all asked after playing the first game; there were some weaknesses. Some of the highly impactful and effective characters we see in the story are incomplete and wasted of their potential. The world emerges and expands much much bigger than the first game but it causes to lose the strands that ties the story at some parts. The acting is unshakably strong and polished thanks to the brilliant developers, the precious Ashley Johnson, Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, all the executives and the director and co-writer of the game; Neil Druckmann and all the team made this possible working at Naughty Dog. There are space to criticise and sincere thanks for everyone who is considerate and open hearted. I wish you keep making great games further.… Expand

    This game does a great job of making you see things from other perspectives. Everyone hates Abby for killing Joel but what Joel did at the end of the first Last of Us was worse. Abby killed the man who destroyed the best chance of getting a vaccine. Abby isn't perfect and there was no reason for her to torture Joel and she did some bad things in hers past as well but she is not the bad guy.    … Expand

    There are many faults as well as positives. Great graphics, weapons, writing (to do something different in a video game needs to be praised for that effort alone) replay quality is top notch. Not gonna lie, the ending could have been summed up in a bow. Monsters should have tripled in the overall game. Wasn't impressed by the Rat King, but is growing on me.I hope they make DLC of Tommy'sThere are many faults as well as positives. This game was good for me- i agree some story choices made couldve been better handled- but overall i gave it a 8.5 which you cant give here- i played it as i loved the first one being my favourite game eever and i want to day that eventhough certain things didnt do it for me most of the game was satisfying and im glad i played it- loved it but not as much as the first one! I think that the game does what it said- divide people and therefore i respects everyone views so please respect each other too!

    If you are an adult human being, you might be able to see the true magic, the boldness and the art within this masterpiece. It is the most hurtful game adventure of my whole life - worth every second of it.

    And the graphics close the generation with a bang. What a visual experience!

    In certain games I understand the bulk of the criticism, but most of the ones here are almost always oriented to choices that say much more about the moralist or conservative view of the critic than about the game itself.

    This game had be scared, worried, devastated, happy, emotional, sympathetic, guilty and completely broken and many other feeling i cant put into words. I hated some part i loved some parts but the way the story is being told and how well its written is mind blowing. I see a lot of people hate on this game and honestly while playing i was one of them, but the way they break you and then give you closure is something on a whole another level.

    Game play is absolutely mind blowing, they did a very good job of improving from the previous game. Some old mechanics are also improved and overall the game feel more dynamic on how you can do thing and engage enemies.

    The story is something that a lot of people are hating specially last of us fans. But in order to feel more than hate you have to connect to the characters in a deeper level. I also hate some characters because of the story but particularly connecting to Ellie is the goal, if you want to understand the beauty of the game. Spoiler: I cried before Ellie started crying at a point and i am not the kind of guy that cries at anything, that is how beautiful the story is written, Also the games story has a big impact from the previous game so definitely recommend refreshing that before playing this.

    Characters were a mix for me. The original characters were written very well especially Ellie and Joel, but other characters had some poor energy with the game.But the development of the characters were pretty good if i am being honest. its just the characters without development were just a bit off. Also the story for Abby was not very strong unless you understand a few things about her. Her story was a bit weak but the development makes up for that. Also her motivation was not that appealing to me.

    All in all this game is master piece and i can't hate it, even though i want to very much. Just a heads up i didn't get a good night sleep after some traumas in the game. Its not for the weak hearted and definitely do not recommend for people suffering from depression. But its a beauty that need praise.    … Expand

But the main big question was: "What The Story Wanted To Tell Us?" We had nice experience in part 1 because perfect stroy telling and things happend between Joel and Ellie... part part 2 didn't had mauch in story. The only thing you can get from the game, was: "Revenge, Make u Paralyzed" By the way, if there gonna be a part 3 there is a fine point in it...… Expand

    I do not understand the toxic trolling here. This is about as much fun as I can have playing a video game. The story is great but it’s the gameplay - a total masterpiece of gameplay. I thought I had completed it at one point and when what I thought was the falling action kept going into another act, I was like - sweet! More!

    Gran juego. Naughty dog arriesgo mucho en esta obra, por eso puede entenderse ciertas criticas negativas. Por otro lado, los apartados técnicos, de diseño, sonido etc están al tope de la generación. La historia tiene partes criticables pero no hacen a la interrupción del disfrute de esta obra.

    I really enjoyed my multiple playthroughs of this game. This was the dark and emotional story that I was expecting ND to deliver. The game is beautiful and the story is so well written. It feels like a natural sequel to the first game by giving us the chance to know the characters in ways that we never did in the first game. I have found answers to every 'plot hole' I read on the internet by just paying close attention to the game. I hope with time people will understand that there's so much more here storywise than the eye meets at first glance, and that great stories are sometimes great sad stories. In my opinion, Naughty Dog approaches the end of this console generation with it's most triumphant title so far, just like they did with part 1 in 2013.… Expand

Вдумайтесь,есть люди которые дропнули Её на смерти Джоэла ,да не спорю момент неожиданный и трогательный,но это не вся игра,это не конец.Моё мне мнение может и не изменит оценку,но я выскажусь.
    1.Сюжет 10/10. Настолько ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНОЙ истории я давно не видел,даже не смотря на то ,что нас заставляют играть за убийцу Джоэла ,но с такой классной подачей и мотивацией ,это что то с чем-то. Самая лучшая часть сюжета, это всё таки за Элли. Также самый лучший момент ,это концовка,она тут Лучше и трогательней чем в Первой части.
    2.Графика 10/10. Ну что тут говорить,графика в этой игре это настоящий прорыв в игровой индустрии. Из старушки PS4 Выдавили все соки
    3.Атмосфера 10/10. О да! Как же великолепно выполнена атмосфера Пост-Апокалипсиса,когда даже самый слабый противник(Бегун) Тут предастовляет опасность(На максимальной ложности если что) Когда ты дорожишь каждым патроном в обойме-Это Классно!
    4.Геймплей 10/10. Геймплей по сравнению с первой частью сильно не поменялся,но есть и свои отличия 1.Это Уклонения на L1, теперь стало значительно удобней сражаться с противниками. 2. Это то что можно ползать ,Это довольно удобно в стелсе.

After finally finishing the story of the game, to me it was clear: this game was not made for fans! That is why many players were disappointed: although the story is complex and awesome, it may not have ended in an expected way for most of us. Here is my opinion about the game: 1. NARRATIVE Very different from what happened in the Last of Us 1, the second game is more focused on “the limits of humans sanity at an apocalypse”. And they definitely made it!

    NaughtyDogs has created a game that makes you question yourself all the time: what would you do if you were that character and why does that character act that way? It makes you wear their shoes and experience the consequences of their actions during the story. You never know which is the right side, until you realize there is no right side in an apocalypse!

    It is a complex story of revenge, and how hard it is to deal with ourselves and the others at an apocalypse. It plays with our emotions and thoughts in a fascinating way! The characters are very well constructed and that makes an enormous difference during the narrative. 2. GRAPHICS

    About the graphics, it is just unimaginable! It brings an impressive variety of details, with a great color selection and very realistic characters. About that, nobody can disagree. 3. GAMEPLAY The gameplay is even better than at the first one! TLOU 2 brings wider spaces for exploration, more realistic actions and antagonists, new weapons and infected levels, and much more. 4. CHARACTERS When it comes to the characterization, I’m honestly very satisfied! They’ve constructed very expressive and complex characters, fact that has everything to do with how the story is built and how it ends. So that’s it! Можно снять баллы только за то, что иногда перестрелок было так много, что они надоедали и хотелось уже посмотреть сюжет и за то, что сюжет слегка затянули, можно было заканчивать уже в театре и все. Игру прошла на одном дыхании и после прохождения было ощущение будто бы посмотрела сериал. Теперь это она из моих самых любимых игр на ps4.… Expand

    Almost as good as the original, which I rate as my favorite of all time. A really depressing game that came out during COVID - but a must play when you’re in the right mood. Is it as happy as the first one, no. Is it a story worth telling, absolutely.

    At many points while playing I was relieved a situation was over, only to be followed by a more emotional difficult situation ahead and this could be perceived throughout the game.
    If you do something your Character doesn't like, you will notice changes in the body language of the character. This attention to detail makes the game a masterpiece in every aspect.
    I could relate a lot to all the characters and situations.
    This journey will accompany and haunt me for many years. And I cannot thank enough the developers of the game for doing their thing.

I think what would really please the current community is making a part where Joel and Ellie are the main characters, because that's all everybody wants, a Joel and Ellie adventure. Its timeline should be right before Ellie learns how to play guitar, When Joel plays the Future Days song and tells her that; I believe, I believe cause I can see, Our future days, Days of you and me. That's why this part should be called Future Days and it should start from there and end at the death of Joel, And maybe they should jump to the fight scene between Ellie and Aby (the one at the end). And maybe they should give an option to kill Aby this time and see which players will choose revenge for Joel, And which will forgive Aby and let her go just like she did with them. Anyways its just a thought, I hope Naughty Dog sees this and considers at least thinking about a part called Future Days.

Rn im doing my third playthrough, getting ready for permadeath and grounded rounds too. This game ruined and saved me at the same time. It is a masterpiece and i really really hope we will get third part thats gonna be equally amazingAmazing. Yes. It is supposed to be. Because writers thought so. They didn’t want to create Diva channel Christmas story with magical happy endings and la la las. It is a rough world. Crazy world. Everything has fallen apart. People have gone mad. Have done crazy **** in order to survive. And in the middle of all that craziness there is a beautiful love story between father and adopted daughter. But, what about love story between Abby and her caring and loving dad? Did he deserve to die? What was Abby, some time ago a innocent little girl, supposed to to? To forgive?

    This story explores people’s everyday bias. Is it ok to kill one human being in order to save all humanity? Is it ok to go on a killing spree as Joel and Ellie but not as others? Why is everything revolving around us ok but not for others? Should Abbys father kill his own child in order for humanity to survive. This game makes us look both sides of the same coin. Same destiny. Ask thousands of questions. At first I hated Abby. Of course I did. Story made me. I was so immersed in Joel and Ellie. But, after a while I started to understand her. Her motives. Her desires. Her revenge. Her life. She was not a bad guy. In this not-normal world.

    This game give us a profound intro in human soul. And deserves 10 stars. And people out there, I have a message for you: if you hate this game so much, start asking yourselves why?

For those expecting me to talk trash about this game and what happened to Joel, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to disappoint y'all because I really do see The Last of Us Part 2 as a masterpiece and dare I say better than the first. Right off the bat, I can start off by saying even if I never played this game and don't know how to defend it, the way how people decided to talk trash about it and sending death threats to Neil Druckmann and Laura Bailey is honestly all I need since at that rate, you're just being just like Abby and will just be ignored. But I can understand y'all don't like the game but that's what I want to go over
    1. Joel's death: So people nowadays say Joel was disrespected since there's no way he'd reveal his name to a bunch of strangers and lower his guard to allow himself to die so easily and quickly. So right off the bat, Abby was always going to kill him even if no one else in that room knew since Tommy already spilled out both of their names earlier so it didn't matter Joel said his name again. Secondly, I would argue he WASN'T killed off so cheaply when he lowered his guard like that since that's exactly what happens when a man has lived 4 years with everything he ever wanted, a girl he considered his daughter, a home full of security, a place where he's seen as a hero for crying out loud, or even the fact he's trusted strangers before like Henry and Sam. Plus, there's even how he doesn't scream or beg for mercy, he knows what's about to happen and never regrets it to the end and he's all around the game, just not the priority.
    2. The games characters: people say that you could replace these characters for someone else and it wouldn't make a difference, so right off the bat, I can agree with that statement ONLY for Manny, Owen, Jesse, Yara, and Mel; everyone else I would argue are on par with Part 1's amazing cast. Like I found Lev relatable and I was glad he stayed with Abby to be the Joel and Ellie we missed in the first game, Dina was surprisingly good at her role since I actually prefer her relationship arc over Ridley's when she supports Ellie and then decides to leave her since all what she saw in her at the time was a druggie who couldn't quit, Tommy failing to accept "enough was enough", and while I didn't care Owen and Mel died since their characters weren't fleshed out enough for me to, I was shocked to see them call out on Abby and telling the truth to her face revealing they couldn't take it when she decided vengeance is the key way to make things right just like Jesse and Dina (kinda) did to Ellie.
    3: Claiming the game was sponsering SJW and the LGBTQ+ community: right off the bat, people who put this arguement don't even know what they're saying since the reason Abby is this muscular is because she chose to workout constantly for the pursuit of Joel over Owen and her friends
    4:Pacing is terrible: right off the bat, I'm not arguing with that since the story was absolutely all over the place and something I actually pointed out in my "The Last of Us Remastered" review but there's also how this drags on a little too long but that honestly never bothered me since at least it wasn't as bad as Days Gone and I wanted to see how it could come to a proper end
    5: Terrible ending: So I can understand what people mean by this when Ellie spares Abby but at the same time, those people weren't paying attention since throughout the entire game, Ellie feels like she had her purpose taken away from her when Joel saved her from that hospital and that her life is meaningless and that's what drives people to do horrible things like Ellie going after Abby one last time, but the real reason Joel saved her is because she believed her life has a purpose and he wants her to live to her best which is why he said he'd save her all over again if given another chance, and when Ellie was drowning Abby, she saw Joel not beaten up, but with their last conversation meaning she realizes that Joel wouldn't want her to throw away that life by some pointless vengeance and by sparing Abby, that's how she truly honors Joel.
    So that's all the "negatives on this game" but there is an overwhelming amount of positives here like the improved shooting and gameplay allowing gameplay and combat to be way more satisfying than the first game and when I died, it felt fair and not cheated, next gen visuals even for a base PS4 (like no joke, this game looks genuinely incredible), excellent actor performances (especially props to Troy Baker and Laura Bailey), and immersive soundtrack. Overall, while I don't know if you will enjoy this game based off of what happened, I can definitely I strongly recommend it if you can ignore the pacing issues.    … Expand

Many of these negative reviews where put up within hours of the game being released when it should have taken well over a day (without food or pee breaks) to even complete the game, let alone contemplate it enough to write a review. Don't let yourself be fooled. I'm not joking or lying when I say this game is a masterpiece, and if you're still concerned, most of the people who have actually played this game have positive things to say about it, too.

    The gameplay doesn't change up a whole lot from what already worked in the original game, but it still adds some welcome new mechanics that give the player more freedom and choices. In addition, Naughty Dog has included a plethora of accessibility options so that pretty much anyone can enjoy the game. Did I mention that Naughty Dog has also put a complete technical marvel on display here? From the graphical fidelity, the incredible motion capture, the animation, the acting, the riveting musical score, those hilariously realistic rope physics, and the terrific sound mixing. TLOU 2 does it all better than any game Naughty Dog has ever released and better than any game I've ever played. Not to mention it does it all at a very consistent 30 fps at 1080p or 1440p depending on your console.

    The sense of atmosphere is also an incredible achievement. In fact, there are many moments where the sense of dread and anxiety may be too overwhelming for some who are not used to such intense games. TLOU 2 mostly takes place in a harsh cordycep-infested Seattle, where most of the residents have only survived as long as they have by being ruthless and cruel, and for you to survive, this game will require you to be the same. The people here have formed societies in this city and, sure, not everyone within is as ruthless and cruel, but the ones that are often have more than enough determination to carry out their revenge, regardless of the consequences, and many times at the expense of those around them.

    With all that being said, the main source of all the vitriol and controversy, is of course the story. In my opinion, the story here is vastly superior to the already excellent story of the original TLOU. It has more emotional depth, the characters (villains included) have more depth, and the stakes are much higher and more personal. TLOU 2 is a revenge story and it's a revenge story on more fronts than one. TLOU 2 also explores more complicated themes such as the cost of revenge and the main characters' obsession with it. Revenge becomes the drug that drives our characters and it will drive them to some seriously dark and disturbing depths. Unfortunately for everybody, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

    The pacing and editing here is also master-class. For instance, there are a number of flashback sequences this game has to juggle, and each sequence involves different perspectives, characters, and years. Yet, somehow, each one arrives at the exact right emotional moment in the story and allows for new context to be added. Suddenly, a new layer will open up and certain story beats may now make more sense or have new depth added to them. Decisions you thought were right now may no longer be so clear-cut. Suffice it to say, the story will have you actively engaged and you will find yourself pushing yourself forward, eager to learn more.

    Well, for most of you anyways, and that's the true tragedy of all this. There is a very real toxicity out there and this game is releasing in one of the most divisive and toxic times in recent history. TLOU 2 includes powerful female leads and LGBTQ+ characters in its story and for some bigots that may be unacceptable. The most generous and forgiving explanation I have to explain the rest of the backlash is that the story simply wasn't what some people wanted. However, to say this game has a "bad story" is simply wrong. Objectively, the story of TLOU 2 is quite brilliant! Naughty Dog took much bigger risks here and they clearly had their minds made up on what kind of story they wanted to tell. And they delivered. And this game delivers! The story broke my heart, made me cry, and upset me. To be honest, I couldn't tell you the last time a game affected me so. Sure, the story may not be to everyone's liking, and it may not be to yours, but after finishing it, you cannot say it was told poorly. I loved The Last of Us and I loved its sequel. If you played the first game and loved it, as long as you approach the sequel with an open mind, I'm sure you'll love it too.    … Expand

Also the Last of us was never some love story it's about tragedy.     I think the game is great, there are some decistions that had to be made to create a true experience. I love the new game play, faster and really engaging. Nunca senti tantas emoções em um unico jogo. Para todos que trabalharão nesse jogo, tem o meu todo respeito, esse jogo definitivamente mudou minha vida. Queria falar mais dessa obra prima, mas estou tão emocionado que nem tenho mais forças, vou dormir para botar meus pensamentos em ordem. E para finalizar obrigado Naughty Dog e principalmente aos envolvidos. Depois desse jogo, tenho certeza que nunca mais vou achar outro jogo dessa magnitude. Até agora não entendo essa nota tão baixa. li alguns comentarios negativos e pelo que parece eles não aguentarão a pressão do jogo, e tambem tem uns que eu não quero nem falar, meu QI caiu -2748.     I love the last of us part II It was amazing. The last 3 chapters i was a mess everything was so intense and real touching. I'm already waiting for the part 3 please Neil and everyone on ND make it real!

    Mejor juego de la generación. Historia profunda con mensaje poderoso. A nivel técnico y jugable, perfecto. Se necesita mucha madurez para digerir la historia y aceptar el plot, si bien se pone demasiado anticlimático un par de veces.

FIRST PARAGRAPH HAS SPOILERS This game is the game of the year for sure, it has a great story even making the player sympathize with Joel’s killer and if you don’t, you surely sympathize with Lev and consequently you don’t want Abby to die. You end this game completely destroyed because you don’t know if you want Ellie to win or Abby to win and you feel what the characters are dealing with for example when you see Abby getting to the surgery room and seeing her dad dead, you feel bad for her, when Ellie is in Santa Barbara, you see that she is broken, you see that she doesn’t care about anything anymore and she even has things written on her book saying that she regrets going to Santa Barbara and wanted to turn back.

    The gameplay is better then the previous one, because the new features that were added (crouching and dodging) work perfectly and makes the gameplay look real and with very human movements, when you play it you actually say “that’s what I would do” Gameplay 10/10 The graphics, facial expressions and the ambience are the best ever made
    10/10 The story is great and it has a meaning, which is something the first one didn’t have, because although it is also a great story, it’s a very well made genetical adventure story, TLOU2 in may opinion has a story that is slightly better then the previous one because of that, this sequel is a lot darker then the first one and I think that was a great change since it reflects what goes on in both protagonist’s minds, but the only problem of the story was that. It was a really well written story and it’s only not a 10/10 because of what I’m going to say on the next paragraph Story 9/10 Actually I would give this game a 9.7 because there are some minimal details that were unnecessary such as Mel being pregnant, I thought that was only to shock the player since her not being pregnant wouldn’t change nothing in the story and also the fact that they had to make Joel kinda stupid to

    Before I state why I liked the game, I would like to implore that everyone play the game before making their own opinions based off of other reviews and leaks. As a gaming community, we should be striving to make better efforts to lift each other up, not tear each other down.

    In my own opinion, everything about this game was an experience. From the opening scene with Joel explaining his past decisions to Tommy to the last few moments of the game, it took me on a journey most would find very difficult to watch. This is a game about violence, revenge, anger and malice, and how all these things can take tremendous tolls on a life. We get to see something terrible happen to a character we adore, and how this act drives other characters we love to do terrible, inhumane things. this game was not created just to please anyone who can move a joystick and press buttons. Its goal is to take the gamer on a journey in which they are able to see things in a new perspective. For me, The Last of Us Part II is not only a wonderful game, but an experience that taught me many lessons that I will cherish forever.

    There's so much more I would love to talk about, but I sadly have to stay within the guidelines of length for the review. With that being said, I hope that everyone goes and picks up this, in my opinion, masterclass of a game and allow yourself the right to your OWN opinion.    … Expand

    É simplesmente incrível o que ND consegue fazer com o ps4, o jogo em toda sua performance expande e supera de forma brutal Unsharted 4. Como grande fã do primeiro game me senti muito triste ao início, mas ao perceber como o enrredo foi desenvolvido, e que não é apenas uma sequência e sim uma part II, eu vi que é exatamente o que eu queria sentir. Even while the credits were rolling, I was waiting for some after-credit scene that would explain the slew of negative user reviews: nothing. That is when I decided to write this.

    The graphics of this game are astonishing. It blows out of the water anything else I've seen this console generation. From the eerie rooms full of spores to the beautiful open fields and mountains, the detail put into every single environment makes it feel so damn real and the immersion is never broken. This is impossible to really put into words, it just needs to be experienced.

    The gameplay is in many ways better than the original. The core experience of "explore, loot, combat, cinematic" is there, but it’s been taken to the next level to create these mini arcs that, combined with the scenery and the storyline, become very memorable. I praise the addition of the Lock-On Aim feature, being primarily a PC player, this made my experience much more enjoyable. Also, their difficulty settings are one of the best I’ve seen in any game, period. They allowed me to fine tune the experience to my liking: lots of ammo and resources, but extremely deadly enemies. Having the ability to balance the game to your liking is a HUGE PLUS.

    The amount of environmental puzzles may seem lacking at first. But it’s because the best puzzles in the game are optional. Instead of an obvious ladder or bin that needs to be moved around, a good portion of the puzzles are hidden behind the placement of enemies and the layout of the levels. But don’t fret, they kept a few ladders and bins here and there, it’s the Last of Us after all. Safe boxes are not awfully hard to solve, but each one of them bring a small nugget of storytelling that always feels fresh.

    The story of this game is what EVERYONE is complaining about. By the way, even if the story was complete garbage, I’d still give this game 9/10 just based on what I’ve mentioned before. I understand that this story is not for everyone, and I respect that, but for me, it was absolutely masterful. Throughout the entire game I FELT what Ellie felt and I also FELT what her enemies felt. This game grabbed me by the hand and started running at light speed and it trusted I could run along with it. It took me to emotional places that NO OTHER MEDIA has ever been able to show me. I praise Naughty Dog for their commitment to their characters and their passion for showing the world their vision. The Last of Us Part 2 is a story about FORGIVENESS, not REVENGE like everyone says. But that’s just my take on it, I’m no expert.

    Just because I’ve heard other people talking about this. I never felt any SJW or political agenda being pushed. Avenger’s Endgame girl power shot was waaaaaay worse than anything you’ll see in this game.

    This is my first review and probably the last one I'll ever write. The fact that I'm even writing this review means that I care enough to take the time to go through this. This score reflects my honest opinion of the game, and it would be a 10/10 even if the average user score was 10.0. For those who are ready to have an open mind and forget about all the BS around it, give this game a chance, it's worth every penny.    … Expand

The story is different. It's a story of revenge and it gives you everything in a brutally violent way. Wouldn't it be boring to be like the previous one? Again, it's not easy to make a game like the first one. For those who were also did not like what happened and Ellie got angry, something important had to be done to make the game exist. So those of you who want to buy it keep in mind that the gameplay, although similar to the previous one, is very good, in terms of sound and graphics and the story and the whole theme of the game is a little darker so don't expect most moments to be happy. .

    Also (spoiler) if you think about it those who say that the end of the game does not make sense and that it cancels everything that Ellie did and in the first what happened? They intended to go to the Fireflies and hand over Ellie for treatment, but this did not happen.

    Also, those of you who ask about whether Multiplayer is worth it, you don't get the last of us for the multiplayer mode, but for the campaign.

I wish more video games and movies had the balls to have these kinds of twists! Naughty Dog has truly created something great and has expanded on everything from the first game, from the dark storyline to the fluid gameplay. The attention to detail isAbsolute masterpiece! Ignore the negative reviews from people who played the game for 2 hours and quit because of a bold storyline decision. I wish more video games and movies had the balls to have these kinds of twists!     Fantastic game, much better than the first, the second half while not as good as the first is still fantastic a must buy game! My only regret is that people on other consoles will not be able to experience this masterpiece!

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
