Plenty of players will likely bounce off, but for those who find the right time to stop and smell the flowers, The Good Life is a more than worthwhile diversion.

It's an addicting action-adventure game with life-sim elements with engaging story and a lot of charm and soul. Even though the gameplay is quite simple and straightforward, there's a lot to do and see and simply put, I cannot put it down. Even though I like it a lot, it does feel a bit dated (which is not necessarily a bad thing for me) and this might put some people off. Full Review »

The Good Life is a nice SWERY game that is an adventure game in a living open English town (a little bit like Deadly Premonition, without the scary parts), mixed with some life sim mechanics, and amazing features like the possibility to turn into a dog or a cat.

It is really nice and quite relaxing, BUT you should avoid to play it on PS5 for the moment. PS4 version running with backward compatibility on PS5 suffers from a visual glitch that makes some elements (houses, trees, etc.) flickers.

It is of course annoying, but it is mostly dangerous for people with Epilepsy. I really hope this will be fixed with a patch ASAP. This issue does not seems to affect other platforms, including PS4.
