The Golf Club 2019 is a very good golf game, which shines in particular by its game system that is both realistic and rewarding. It does not hustle the codes, but offers an infinite renewal, thanks to its system of procedural generation in addition to the official courses of the PGA Tour. The loading times also benefit from a particular optimization and are non-existent during play, which favors concentration.

From your first tee to your umpteenth hole, The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour really nails that heart-in-mouth feeling of swinging your club like a pro.

The title’s gameplay is more than just a band-aid. It's fulfilling in its own way – one which is as temperamental as the sport itself – and it’s the fundamental piece of a title whose benefits are more subtle than overt.

The Golf Club is back with a game whose main addition is the PGA license. It still is a very good game, but it needs to provide something more meaningful than that or put it to a better use.

Despite the arrival of the PGA license, we feel that it is still very untapped.

The Golf Club strikes back, and this time it has the official PGA Tour licence. PGA Tour isn’t just a cosmetic feature, it adds a whole new level to the Carreer mode, making it even more interesting.

The Golf Club 2019 isn’t a perfect game, as it has it’s issues here and there, but it’s fun once you have the hang of the gameplay, especially when you play with friends. With 2K now producing the game series, it has great potential to become even better over the coming years,. Hopefully we’ll see some updates on the game’s visual issues, a slightly easier gameplay this game will be more inviting to everyone.

Without question, The Golf Club 2019 has received a large credibility injection thanks to the involvement of the PGA Tour. Sadly, this feels like a half-implemented crossover that doesn’t utilize the license to anywhere near its full potential.

The fundamental golf experience is still aptly covered in The Golf Club 2019. The new courses and licensing give the game an authenticity welcome to the series. Veterans might want more from the core elements as physics, swing mechanics and the tools at your disposal remain too similar to previous titles. That said, the new career mode and character customisation might be enough to keep players coming back. Newcomers will probably find this a more acceptable starting point as the series starts to take on a more complete shape.

The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour’s foundations are built upon a rock-solid simulation, with tight swinging and tough greens making for a stern challenge that’s difficult but fair. The addition of licensed courses means that this year’s game has a much better campaign, but it doesn’t feel like HB Studios has had quite enough time to capture the sense of occasion that real TPC events can have. As such, with 2K Sports now also on board as publisher, we reckon it’s the next instalment that’s really going to impress. The building blocks are all in place, though, and if you’re in need of a serious golf game on your PS4 right now, then this edition very much finds the green.

The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA Tour is far from what the official series was delivering when it was between the hands of EA. Today, it feels more like an indie game with a very limited budget that has an official sticker on its box.

Disclosure: I have only played around 15 18-hole rounds so far and I haven't poured more than 2 hours into the designer.

With that out of the way, I really like this game.
Coming from a Tiger Woods PGA Tour (and Rory's) background I found the game more true to life and absolutely more challenging.
That is to be expected since TGC2019 is more of a simulation than EA sports golf title ever was intended to be.

I'm just gonna list some pros and cons rather than writing a review.

    ** PROS
    - Probably the best simulation of golf on PS4
    - Course designer
    - Challenging and rewarding experience

    ** CONS
    - Graphics, well rather some of the animations are a little iffy
    - Presentation, commentary is really boring

All in all, I am enjoying this game and I can't wait to dive into societies online and the course designer

I have never really liked the series before but this one feels like a legitimate PGA tour game. The graphics and performance of the game are great (xbox one x) which I was worried about given the previous games. I feel like the gameplay is much improved as well. In the prior games I felt like it was very difficult to gauge shots, (especially putting) but this one feels perfect and fair. My only gripe with the game is the commentary which is fine but it would be nice to have the guys from PGA broadcasts calling the shots. This feels like a natural evolution of the Tiger Woods series and that was exactly what I have been waiting for. Full Review »

Overall I am very impressed with the game and expect I will find it very challenging for many months to come. If you enjoy watching or playing golf then you will enjoy what is in essence this golf simulation.

What the previous owners of the PGA Tour license did with their games was a disgrace, making arcade golf game time after time, similar to how they treat other modern sports. Hopefully the new license can be expanded to further courses in the future but having paid the full value for the initial game I will not be spending on any future possible add ons. I will enjoy what I have. A solid golf game with endless playability.
