Absolutely do not buy this game unless it’s on a massive discount. It’s worth maybe $5. Do NOT purchase any of the DLC. It’s crazy how the game of life that was made in 1998 for PC is MILES better than this. This game is a bare minimum cash grab. Let me make some comparisons:

Absolutely do not buy this game unless it’s on a massive discount. It’s worth maybe $5. Do NOT purchase any of the DLC. It’s crazy how the game of life that was made in 1998 for PC is MILES better than this. This game is a bare minimum cash grab. Let me make some comparisons:

    - The board:
The game uses the same board for EVERY world. Any of the DLC worlds are just the same thing with very minimal appearance changes and different job titles. It’s also smaller than the 1998 board and nowhere near as interesting. The 1998 uses the same board but with different themes! (1980,90,00’s) although a bit cluttered it is so much more to enjoy.

    - the actions:
After about 3-4 plays you’ll probably see everything the board has to offer here! Same jobs, same action cards like buying a TV or everyone spins for a chance to win money. The 1998 version has so many different things you can run into and has tons of animations play out that are cheesy but funny! You can buy a house and get house insurance because there’s a chance your house gets hit by a tornado or lit on fire! Theres nothing like that in the newest version! There’s so much more replay value in the 1998 game… why?

Everything else: The only thing different about this game is you have more spin to decide choices and adopting a pet (from what I remember). In the 1998 version you can actually pick human characters instead of stick figures. It has actual good music themes that change based off what decade your in, the 2020 version has the same mind numbing hold music the entire time. In conclusion:
Why was this game made with such barebones effort? This is a game to entertain a couple times and never again. Please go back to the 1998 version and remaster it. You already have a great blueprint, stop looking for an easy cash grab and make quality games. There’s a reason this garbage has little to no reviews!

A classic and nostalgic board game, The Game of Life 2 is just like real life–it is short, sweet, and you might get paid decently but your taxes are insanely high. It’s a fun game to play with family and friends without having to purchase additional equipment. Plus, bonus points for being easy to understand. Sadly, I found it hard to buy a house. But as I said, this is just like real life.

The Game of Life 2 is a colorful, vibrant, and very competent adaptation of the traditional board title of the same name for the digital universe, with basic mechanics for any type of player to enjoy. However, because it relies heavily on the random factor - something it inherited from the original work - it can frustrate or bore the most experienced.
