    No brainer for survival horror fans. More accessible than the first one, for better or worse. Though I'd prefer it be more linear like the original and most games in the genre, the semi-open world worked really well. Go out and buy it because I want part 3!

    Another great survival horror game from Tango. I enjoyed it a lot.
    The open-worldish structure works fine, as it is a mix of tigther areas and some outside areas that you can explore a bit more yourself.
    Graphics are nice, story is good and characters are good and interesting as well. Its at its best in inside areas in my opinion, when you have to make your way through areas by    Another great survival horror game from Tango. I enjoyed it a lot.

    Esto es otra cosa.... es brutal. Es maravilloso este juego. Mundo abierto, terror y accion en justa medida. Jefes brutales y una primera escena que ya te dice que el argumento estará genial. Es mucho mejor que su predecesor... en 2019 si no lo tienes, compralo.

    I really enjoyed the 2nd series in the franchise. They have created a great sequel that pushes the franchise forward. Its not as scary as the 1st EW and the boss fights are not as good as the first but they are still fun. I enjoyed the story more in the 2nd and the graphics are improved. The semi open world was a cool addition, which added a much needed exploration aspect allowing you toI really enjoyed the 2nd series in the franchise. They have created a great sequel that pushes the franchise forward. Its not as scary as the 1st EW and the boss fights are not as good as the first but they are still fun. I enjoyed the story more in the 2nd and the graphics are improved. The semi open world was a cool addition, which added a much needed exploration aspect allowing you to find collectables and upgrades. The voice acting and sound effects are great and the animations were really well done. If you are a fan of the first game or a fan of survival horror franchises I suggest you try out any evil within games. Looking forward to the 3rd one.… Expand

    In the first part we had a scripted attraction. We have to get through the straight corridors. Now we have a semblance of an open world and we decide which way to go. With a few exceptions, it is you who decide on which street and in which direction to move, whether to bypass clusters of enemies or, conversely, to engage with them in battle. If you decide to take the fight, then what would it be? You can silently kill enemies with a knife or in the best Hollywood traditions to get firearms and start shooting groups of monsters. The level design is conducive to tactical operations. For example, you can lure enemies into a puddle of gasoline, and then set it on fire.

    I can only single out two minuses. Let's start with the fact that people play horror games for the sake of sensations. You feel helpless, afraid of every rustle, the constant lack of ammunition. Forget. Not here. Sebastian doesn't look like an alcoholic detective, he looks like a real Rambo. And the second minus. What happened to Joseph? You plainly said he was alive. For this I collected slides, but you have not explained what is with him and where he is? And still no DLC    … Expand

    Very good game. Reminds me hard on Resident Evil. Like the style and the atmosphere. Better than part 1. Hope we will get an third part in the near future.

    This is a really impressive game. The atmosphere and characters are great. The story was entertaining and the gameplay was pretty much what you'd expect from a 3rd person survival horror game. It could have done with a few more side quests but that's really the only negative I can think of.

    A worthy sequel. The first nine chapters are spectacular, the artist's levels and boss battle is well done. It meanders a little in the middle (with still some cool parts) and picks up again at the end (minus a few cliche moments). It has mechanics that are better than the first one, atmosphere points which are higher, but not as scary and less tension. A solid game, a series worthA worthy sequel.     After The Evil Within, I really didn't see myself playing the sequel, but seeing some of the actual game in videos made me give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I love the surreal setting this game plays with and wish more games would take note. Exploring the areas was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the main story and the way it unfolded. i even enjoyed the mini games.     but not 'fresh' as new, combine of well-known games
    just like a "last of us", "P.T", "Division" you will easily find other games system in this game

    The game about defines linear, almost as much as a certain other infamous game. If you enjoy jump scares and walking in a straight line, this game is perfect for you. If you have become numb to all that crap like I have, it's a pass.

    Fun side note: who the hell is pushing the wheelchair in the opening?

    The Evil Within 2 exceeds its predecessor in terms of visuals, however the semi-open world experience lacks meaningful activities and just make the sequel less interesting than the original engaging linear experience.

    I was a little bit disappointed with the gameplay of this game, I do not like that the character movement is very slow and clumsy. However, the graphics are very nice and the story is very good.

    A really really amazing game. Great story with decent plot twists. Although the gameplay can be clunky, the weapon crafting and leveling up make up for it in the long run.

    The Evil Within 2 is a much better game than the first one, the gameplay has been improved, it isn't as linear as the first game was. The story is a lot more personal to Sebastian in this game and as a result is a lot more interesting. The characters in this game are more realized and grounded than before. This game is a huge improvement over the first one. Definitely worth your money and time.

You always find yourself barley surviving. I miss fire a lot, I just don't want those creepy idiots to get near me. lol I like the upgrade system where u have to earn it, I like the story, I like the open world. Before I bought the game I read reviews about its an open world survival horror and I was like how is that going to make sense, but I said ok, let me see. The truth is its not a typical open world just partial and I love it just like that.

    I played the first one, it was good and I enjoyed it, it was more creepy though, but hey this is also creepy and u can play it in FPS or THIRD after u update it. The best moments was towards the end. It was so emotional that I felt so sorry for Sebastian.

    Its a great game. If you like resident evil or horror games, u should play this. Don't play easy, play it on normal at least, and don't enable auto aim. Its better than Resident evil 7.    … Expand

With this second game The Evil Within series proved it was now the king of this category of games. It blends Resident Evil, Silent Hill and its own unique touch.     This is much better than the first game. I actually felt that they tried to creat new ways to scare us and didn't use clichés all over like the first one. The gameplay is pretty good this time around and there some interesting enemies as well. The story is good enough, not a masterpiece because it's kind of convoluted but i was engaged by it.

    Um jogo de terror incrível, os inimigos e chefes muito bem trabalhados. O mundo aberto funcionou bem, historia muito foda tbm, além de momentos que te deixam cm vontade de fugir da sua própria casa kkkkkk, tem um dificuldade bem daora tbm, acho q so perde pro resident evil 2 remake.

    Muito mais ambicioso que o 1° titulo, trouxe um mundo Sandbox totalmente exploravel, com história imersiva que traz personagens carismáticos em um universo obscuro. Simplesmente soberbo!

    This game is a great improvement over the first Evil Within.

    Even though the horror element is practically gone, everything else got better. The crafting is well balanced and fun. The skills tree has some skills that really add to the game experience and as soon as the "stealth kill from a corner" is unlocked the game becomes a lot more enjoyable.     Вот вышла вторая часть и я не испытывал особого интузиазма. Но разработчики учли все замечания первой части.

Evil Within 2 стала играться намного удобнее, камера стала послушней. Стрелять из оружия стало в разы приятнее. Но самое главное на мой взгляд, в игре появился хороший стелс. Да он был и в оригинале, но пользоваться им было сущее мучение.
    Прокачка вроде тоже не изменилась, однако она стала более интуитивной, что ли.
    Появились новые враги, боссы.
    Картинка, на мой взгляд, не сильно поменялась, но это игру ни как не портит.
    Ещё большой плюс, сделали полное дублирование на русском языке.
    Сюжет стал понятнее. С одной стороны это хорошо, а с другой как то поуменьшилось той ужасной атмосферы первой части. Игра стала больше шутером чем хорором.
    Что касается самой игровой атмосферы она тут очень затягивающая. Но желательно пройти оригинал, что бы погрузиться в эту атмосферу на все 100%.
    Вообще в The Evil Within 2 очень приятно играть, наверное как в RE 2 Remake по сравнению с RE 2 1998.
    Советую всем поклонникам Resident Evil. Очень жду продолжения или спиноффа, не знаю уж!    … Expand

    The game start slow but in the last few chapters the game become more fun i like the game everything is perfect for me the only problem i had in the game sometime i feel there a problem with bullet hit detection.

    Shinji Mikami’s philosophy is to focus on making the game’s good aspects shine even brighter instead of trying to eradicate its flaws. His latest work both benefits and suffers from that approach. The Evil Within 2 offers great exploration, but its story is laughable. It’s a thrilling shooter, but a mediocre stealth game. At the end of the day I find Mikami to be right – a game’s best moments count the most and make us turn a blind eye to its flaws. TEW2 fails to reach the level of my beloved Resident Evil 4, but in today’s circumstances a triple AAA survival horror without online components and intrusive microtransactions is a gem. [13/2017, p.72]
