Skyrim is a pretty fun game for it's time, being a 2011 game, there's a lot to do here. It was one of the first games I played on Playstation, played for 211 hours in total. The combat is okay, the main appeal I believe is the amount of ways to approach combat in the game, you can spam shouts on people until they die, or optimize your stats as a stealth build and snipe enemies to death, but I combat is not the main appeal of this game anyways.

The worst part of this game really is any quest that isn't a main questlines, side quests, or repetitive quests can be really boring and tedious. If you love to be a completionist and get every achievement, you will have to slow grind a bunch of boring quests to do so. I attempted to 100% this game because I loved it so much but the conditions to 100% it feature A LOT of boring quests. Specifically the "return the thieves guild to it's former glory" achievement, that particularly achievement has a bunch of repetitive and boring quests in it. That alone made me drop the idea of 100%ing this game.
However, this game was the closest to 100% I ever got with any game I've played so far with an 84% achievement completion in the base game.

Overall I think Skyrim is a great experience for its time. I'd give it an 8/10

one of the most overrated game of all time, the combat system is one of the worst I have ever seen, the a.i is complete **** the movement are clunky, and the story is litteraly "generic fantasy plot" and the worst part bout this game is that Bethesda didn't resolved any of the issues with the 2939 edition of this game.

Before diving into my review, I wanted to say that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was my favorite game for a long time; almost thousands of hours were spent in this game back then, but since I played it on my PS4 now, I wanted to review this version.
The plot isn't anything special but the rich lore really makes up for a decent story overall.
The gameplay is still good! The combat system

The plot isn't anything special but the rich lore really makes up for a decent story overall.
The gameplay is still good! The combat system hasn't aged well but the game is very addictive even to this day thanks to its depth, variety and unparalleled open world design.
The RPG elements are awesome, the world is very big, there are so many side-quests to do and there is so much hidden lore.
The graphics don't look as nice as they did back then but the world is still quite gorgeous.
The expansions (Dawnguard & Dragonborn) are great; they add 2 of the best quest-lines in the game + some very cool additions into the game.
Also, if there is one thing in this game that will never age, it's the music; Skyrim's music is a masterpiece!
Unfortunately though, a part of the game that aged like milk is the dungeon design; many dungeons are similar to each other and they get repetitive after a while.
Lastly, a personal issue I have with this version of the game is that after playing the original version for years, I felt like I was just doing a new playthrough. My experience with this version was not as exciting as it was with the original version back then.
The game is still very addictive though and that makes up for most of it's flaws.

    Pros:
    + Rich lore
    + Fun gameplay
    + Excellent world design
    + Amazing RPG elements
+ Huge world filled with of content + DLCs
    + Godlike soundtrack

    Cons:
    - Repetitive dungeon design

    - Amazing -
It's been nearly a decade since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's first release and this game still manages to offer a solid RPG experience that holds a very special place in my heart.

    Do I recommend it?:
Yes, it'll always be a must-play in my opinion.

Great exploration, everything else is pretty bad. Doesn´t help that exploration usually results in combat, which is quite bad. Since exploring is interesting, I had decent fun for a while, but it´s not something that everyone would like, too many rough edges.

To this day, Skyrim is still one of the most compelling and open-ended video games a person can play. While the lack of proper mod support on PS4 hurts, the experience on the system is still a very fun one (though it is hard to recommend the PS4 version over the Xbox one for that reason alone).

While far more streamlined than Oblivion, Skyrim still represents the pinnacle of open-world action role-playing video games. Despite its only average combat, it is ubiquitous and present on almost every modern system for good reason. There is no reason, in today's day and age, why anyone who enjoys video games should not have at least tried Skyrim. It is worthy of anyone's time, and deserves its status.

The game itself is very open world and it’s hard to finish every single mission there is, especially after the updates. The world building is beautiful and the different environments is breathtaking. Considering it is an older game that only gets updated now, the character creation is a little outdated and iffy but still much better than most character customization games in its time. It also has hacks in the game that you can preform even offline that are useful. I never get bored and am always surprised by the game no matter how many times I play it. The leveling system for this game is one of my absolute favorites and earning exp is rather consistent. The only negative I would have to say is that all the story lines are rather the same, there aren’t enough missions where your choices really matter or change what people think about you or what happens. Maybe a few like the war, the dark brother hood, and the companions but that’s about it. However, again, for its time I love this game and it’s in my top three favorite games of all time. Expand

When I heard that there was dragons in the game I expected an awesome fight, but as it turns out dueto the game's horrible combat it just makes the experience feel like the combat was made by a cookie clicker developer. The game STILL has game-breaking buga after 9 whole **** YEARS. Which leaves the modding community to do Bethesda's dirty work. Even with mods, the game still plays like garbage. If only Bugthesda can actually make a decent combat system along with bug patches I would've been playing this game 24/7. Most overrated game on planet **** earth. I've never thought shouting would such a power. The amount of unique shouts you can have is large and I love it. Skyrim has also made me appreciate how cool dragons are. I'm definitely a huge fan of dragons now. The only negative thing I can say about skyrim is the annoying bugs from time to time and some disappointing quests you can take. Combat can be pretty expansive and intricate, also with the addition of certain MODS on the PS4 version it'll give you an unforgettable experience.

This is the game of my dreams, my second home in which I've spent thousands of hours into and I still can't say goodbye to it, I always come back because there's always something to take care of.

When I first played it as a very young kid, it absolutely blew me away, my experience with the game was unreal, everything about it was out of this world. One of the most gorgeous and breathtaking worlds in a videogame, and to this day it still manages to surprise me.

I love the Scandinavian Medieval setting, with the dragons and the diverse amount of creatures and people, it's a huge game where you create your own story.

The gameplay is mostly basic with a decent variety of weapons and spells, nothing groundbreaking but it serves its purpose. Where the game feels outdated and tedious is the dungeon design, most dungeons look the same and some puzzles can be frustrating, that being said this doesn't necessarily ruin the experience.

The scenery, the music, the aurora borealis... it's very nostalgic and makes me teary-eyed, I mourn the days when I didn't know anything about this game, and I wish I could experience it for the first time again.
    A Timeless Masterpiece.

    Final Rating: "Masterpiece" ~ 10/10.
