This also includes a highly anticipated Morrowind expansion. This expansion is good. It's not a good of a remake of Morrowind's environments as Bethesda could make, but it's still great and refines the areas of that game very faithfully and creatively. But the quests in the expansion are pretty boring, and the characters are mostly lackluster too. Tamriel Unlimited wasn't a worthy successor to Skyrim to begin with, and the Morrowind expansion doesn't really improve ESO:TU much either, unless you count visuals, which I don't. Expand

Hmm, I really wanted nothing more than for this to be an incredible and enjoyable nostalgia trip, and while I am enjoying it, I am disappointed. Of course this isn't Bethesda's game, it is Zenimax, but I for some reason expected some of the the feel from the cities, characters, and just some overall vibes from the original game to carry over. Of course this isn't Bethesda's game, it is Zenimax, but I for some reason expected some of the the feel from the cities, characters, and just some overall vibes from the original game to carry over. The cities are cool, but just lack feeling. The buildings are closed for the most part, and there is not much to do aside from the usual shops and the NPCs involved with my active quests. In Morrowind, just about every destination and persona had huge amounts of character. It just feels to me like they skimmed a little bit of morrowind off the top and sprinkled it on to their MMO. I appreciate this gesture to appease long term fans, but you CAN'T SKIMP THE DETAILS when trying to compare to an incredible classic RPG like Morrowind.

Disappointment aside, I really like the storylines, dialogues, and MAIN characters. Some locations are very detailed, but overuse of props doesn't make up for the lack of meaningful accessible locations and interesting characters. I also think that for an expansion or "Chapter" that costs two thirds as much as a newly released PS4 games should have content quality and quantity that justifies the price. I DO enjoy the new class addition. Only a small handful of new armor sets and weapons were introduced, and the mounts and pets do not really seem to be relevant to the content at all. Also at the moment, there are SO many people playing on PS4, you can pretty much waltz through most of Vvardenfell because the loads of other players have cleared out the enemies already. Maybe my opinion will start to change as I get farther through the content, who knows.

Just started playing with a new character.

ESO is not TES if you keep in mind this thing you might appreciate this game, and you appreciate it even more if is long time you don't play ESO. Now the game is well balanced ad people that have less time ( and lower level ) can play with their friends that has higher level: it works well the game is fun for all the player of the group.

BEWARE ! If you choose the digital upgrade, like me, you must know that the upgrade is linked to the account not to the console : I brought the upgrade with the account of my wife ( to get a discount with P.Plus ) and I cannot access Morrowind with my account.

Ok so idk where to start. I've been playing ESO since it hit consoles and enjoyed it but I have a lot of complaints about how they released Morrowind so let me go ahead and say those things.

I love the new zone they brought in but I feel they focused so much on the zone and pretty much said who cares about the rest of the content. I've played many MMO's in my time and I can't remember a game that introduced a new class and didn't provide a free character slot especially after its taken so long to introduce a new class.
Like we need more classes Like where is a Necromancer class hell even a support class like a Bard would be AMAZING.

So another thing they introduced with this update Paid for crafting training? Umm P2W? When it takes 2+ months to research your final traits it's tedious so they added a payment option to complete the research faster. Every single way they can mooch off the consumer they do it... That brings me to Housing yes some of it is pretty cool but it is strictly cosmetic and most items are payed for aka the homes least the good ones which run around 25-50$ which is OUTRAGEOUS. They hide all the good things through a Pay wall with the monthly subscription that provides a craft bag and double bank space. Which is again awful because to get the full experience of the game your gonna need a lot of bag space so it tempts you to buy it.

One of the things they brought to this update should have been there when it was ported to the console yes I speaking about Buff and debuff timers. Something so simple shouldn't have taken so long to put out.

Zenimax doesn't care about the game as you can see there is literally 0 end game content Especially if you beaten everything and are bored of pvp cause its literally the only thing to do... Stop supporting a terrible game/company for putting out half ass content this content is so bad they could have released it two months earlier...

I know some people will be pissed about what I'm saying but if your paying 15$ a month your wasting your money go play Final Fantasy 14.

One of the biggest disappointments from a game ever. There is basically no interaction with any other online players and even completing missions is pointless as there are other users charging around. The progression system is awful and the enemies level up as you do. This had the potential to be one of the best games of all time, and they ruined every single aspect of it. Veterans should vacay here. New players from Skyrim will still get hit with the culture shock of lots of grinding over emergent exploration and nuanced combat. [September 2017, p74]

A beautiful restoration of a classic setting, but clumsy combat and a more constrained style make us with even harder for a mainline return to Vvardenfell. [Aug 2017, p.90]

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind excels in its poetic moments — its dialogue is beautifully written, its quests are labyrinthine. But, it falters in its moments of war, and often leaves the player swinging their swords at impervious foes, wondering if they’re making any difference at all.
