The Alto Collection whilst somewhat repetitive is a joy to play. It successfully captures an ethereal beauty, which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It combines being an addictive score chaser with accessibility, creating perhaps the best endless runner out there.

This mobile-to-console port is a resounding success as Snowman has been able to ensure The Alto Collection is successful in capturing the player and transporting them to varying worlds of simplistic beauty, as well as consistently presenting challenges that will keep the player guessing what's coming next. Through several obstacles, perilous chasms, and cleverly designed maps, each experience that this has to offer is guaranteed to be unique, fun, and a welcome addition to anyone's library.

The Alto Collection console release is more or less a straight port of the mobile titles made to work on a big screen with a controller. That’s not a bad thing at all, as the mobile releases were deservingly award-winning games, but it’s a missed opportunity to make some slight UI and gameplay optimizations that could have really polished the experience on console. Still, The Alto Collection is deserving of your attention, a peaceful mountain adventure that’s designed to be played in short spurts, but almost impossible to put down once you get going. “Just one more run,” never looked so beautiful or felt so zen.
