Oct 11, 2020And yet another lackluster Tennis game. A lot of stars are playable, but the presentation is stiff and the mechanics are almost like the players are on rails.

Sep 24, 2020Tennis World Tour 2 offers some changes and improvements to the original game, as well as a bunch of licenses for pro players. However, the gameplay core is still rooted in the original game and fails to offer a satisfying experience. Tennis World Tour completes the double fault initiated in 2018.

Sep 22, 2020A highly unsatisfying and directionless tennis game, with an abysmal character creator and career mode. Steer well clear and buy AO Tennis 2, bizarrely made by the exact same team responsible for this monstrosity.

Sep 22, 2020As it stands Tennis World Tour 2 has a chance to wear you out more than an actual game of tennis.

Sep 22, 2020Tennis World Tour 2 is a great example of how not to make a tennis game. Virtua Tennis on a Dreamcast VMU gives a more satisfying experience. It fails wholesale to learn the lessons of the game it's a sequel to and isn't much fun to play. At least there's no microtransactions.

Nov 12, 2020Tennis World Tour 2 is a game that could have been something special but holds itself back with its gameplay. In contrast, I was impressed with the menu's overall layout, the music that played as I got ready, and the speedy load times; all of that went away as soon as I had to start actually playing the game. One can hope that future tennis games will find the perfect balance between capturing the essence of the sport and providing fun gameplay to the consumer at home, but Tennis World Tour 2 could not do either.

Sep 24, 2020Tennis World Tour 2 tries to copy the look and feel of other sports titles but ends up feeling lazy. There is no reason for its character creator, or the career mode, to be as shallow as they are. It also doesn't make sense to lock players into a single control scheme that causes problems, and the ball being hard to see in a game that is all about hitting it back and forth with accuracy is a huge misstep. This game could have been so much more, but Tennis World Tour 2 ends up being a disappointment, first and foremost.
