Symphony of the Machine is a great VR experience that offers a wonderful sense of immersion as long you use the right equipment and get off the couch. The game itself gets less interesting over time despite the cool factor of the complexity of later trials. With Symphony, it became the kind of game I want to play just to help fill the time. What it needs is to give you a reason to stick around, to show that the time spent growing various plants is worth the time and effort. It doesn’t do that very well and were this a standard, non-VR game, I would have quickly moved on. The VR nature of Symphony of the Machine is definitely where it’s at and should be picked up, preferably at some discount, solely for that portion of the software.

Some minor annoyances and bugs aside, Symphony of the Machine takes a simple puzzle mechanic of light redirection, and makes it a little challenging – while also surrounding you with a beautiful world waiting for your to manipulate the weather.

This is a game that I would recommend to people who were stumped by Portal, thought it was way too long, and don't want a story. It doesn't venture into the exploring the space technology of VR and motion tracking at all. It's polished, and relaxing, but that's really about it. I had no real motivation to make the world grow, it was just the only thing there was to do. I hope there's a lot more content coming, including a story and more than a very, very short amount of gameplay. If this were early access I might grant it an 8. Full Review »

With your companion bot he will help you give the supplies you need to save the land and make it beautiful again. This game was fun and the puzzles were decent, but not challenging. length of the game was very short even though you have a free mode after. The music was relaxing and helpful when trying to figure out the puzzle. the sound of the weather change felt real. the price of $20 is not the price you should not buy this game for. and they are some hic up that needs to be fix when tracking happens. its still a game to try, but wait for a price drop.
