Simply in complete, online is trash, and character back story mode is a joke. Looks decent as a fighting game but without the ability to hone your skills on a 1-10 level comp opponent, the only way to really get better is online... oh wait its choppy and takes ages to find a challenger. Wait a year when a full product is around and cheaper!!

As much as I want to like this, I can't. Servers down all day, so you only get to play boring and reiterative survival. No arcade, no complete story mode, no trials/individual tutorials.

    Just one word: SCAM.

A lot can be said on how this is pretty much a bad release with the least content of all the series and feels slower but i'm gonna go ahead and be the first and say that it was dumb to keep in the breast physics.

Astonishing that they would release such an incomplete game. Whatever you do, do NOT buy this yet. Wait until April/may to buy when it has all of the features it really should have. It's a very worrying progression. For the past few years games have been buggy as hell and routinely come with DayOne patches but supplying a clearly unfinished and incomplete game is utterly ridiculous. Vote with your feet people, don't buy this until the full features are ready!

I don't see how anyone can give this game 10, do they work for capcom (seriously though do they)?! It's a joke you are buying a promise that the rest of the game is coming. My 0 can at least offset one of those 10s.

As for the other complaints: lobbies (which aid in nothing but causing problems with jerks seeking easy wins, and rude comments), arcade mode (strange, but also hardly played by most of the community), and a way to observe other matches (I imagine it was barely used since this was available in SFIV). Everybody just needs to chill. Features will be added. It is pretty clear they got it out in time for the competitive community to use, with other functionality on a reasonable timeline. Online play is stellar, the graphics beautiful, the characters deep and balanced, and the cast diverse. If you are a fan of SF and enjoy the online component (like most), you will be extremely happy. Sloppy mess of a game. Missing many parts as many others ahve stated. I will add: poor pixelated graphics. Story mode is just --- I mean why bother. The one winner his is Sony because since PS4 requires Playstaiton Plus membership to play online, thousands who have for now gone without needing it will opt to buy Playstation Plus just to play online.

I'm die-hard SF fan since the very beginning and always supported all the games so far no matter what but i never imagined that i will consider a SF game as utter trash one day. It seems they did nothing during the "beta" progress., all they offer is "Training + paid online MP" and oh yeah an empty disc which is worth for 60$

For gameplay, this game is clearly designed for casual players. Damage ratio is ridiculous, combos and targets are so easy to perform. Even "brand new" mechanics cannot save the game from being noob-friendly core gameplay, how shame. At this point, the game isn't offer anything that pro players will satisfied with it. Not only lack of offline game modes, but weak core gameplay as well.

And lastly, did i mentioned upcoming DLCs are already confirmed as "paid" ?? Well this is Capcom game after all, deal with it. *lol*

Many great fighting games out there which has better online mode such as: Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear..But SF has the most broken online mode atm.

This is the most bare bones (and worst) SF game I've ever seen ask for full price. The game not even has "vs. CPU" mode, can't believe it. Even the alternate costumes that they recently showed off aren't usable until March, when the in-game store is opened.

This is a rushed, budget title unfortunately, not like the previous one (SF IV). It's just developed because of Sony's greedy demands. Don't waste your hard earned 60 bucks for this garbage game, try other fighting games which is give you more contents and fun. Play on..

Game is completely barebones, missing essential modes and utilities that you expect from such an established franchise, the server is schizophrenic. Definite waste of money. Being a huge Street Fighter fan this game was a major let down. For starters there was a day one patch that weighed in just under 6GB. This was supposedly to add new modes. Well im not sure what they added because there's so little content to begin with. No arcade more, a tacked on story mode which consist of a few boring still-shot intermissions and about 3 fights. Each character has one, but each won't take you more then 5-6 minutes to beat. Even then you'll spend more time watching the intermissions then anything. Then next we have a tacked on survival mode, and your standard training mode.

So I figure i'd try the game online in hopes that its better, but wait, I can't. the game gives me a tough time connecting to servers to begin with and refuses to even connect to any matches. So I go back to the Story mode and decide to test a few characters. After each fight the game gave me a message saying I was disconnected from the server and I couldn't earn some kind of points or experience or whatever.

About the only thing positive I can say about this game are that the graphics are really nice. However Capcom even managed to screw these up. Although its not too noticeable in screenshots, the game has some rather ugly shadowing on the characters. If you've ever played an old Sega Saturn back in the mid 90s you may remember the screen-door transparencies. Well Capcom seems to be a fan of these since they used them here too. While they do look a lot smoother then anything off the Saturn, it still looks downright ugly for a PS4 game and takes away from the rest of the graphics.

In the end this game was a waste of $60. If you don't own it already, invest in Ultra Street Fighter 4 on any other platform instead. You'll get far more content, deeper gameplay and an online that actually works. Of course the PS3 still has the slightly annoying input lag, but at least the game is playable in online and offline modes.

Capcom knowingly released an unfinished game for the sake of getting their eSports scene underway. "Stuff will be added over the coming months, we promise!" they said. But then why did they charge $60 for a game lacking so many basic features and polish? Right now SFV is worth $30 at most. It's like an early access game.

The entire user interface and transitions need redesigning, I feel like my time is constantly being wasted. No arcade mode, no trials/challenge, physics/clipping still isn't fixed. Story mode is an absolute joke even by fighting-game standards. The dialogue is really bad.
Most stage backgrounds have blurry textures and background characters animate at 15-20 fps. This isn't what I expected out of PS4 hardware, which is more than capable of running better-looking fighting games at 60fps.

I love Street Fighter but this game is a joke. No vs. CPU mode, despite there being CPU AI for training mode... no arcade mode, no world tour mode, and a simple, 5-minute, 3-match story mode with still illustrations (crap ones at that). Servers keep disconnecting, and oh, that story mode update in June? It's 1-2 hours TOTAL, not per character. What a joke

    This game is a disgrace.

Felt like signing up and talking a bit about the game. SFV at this point does not have a shop and a challenge mode. The challenge mode I find to be an issue for newer players. People who don't know how to go into training mode and work out combos for themselves are at a bit of a disadvantage. That sucks. The story mode is both what I wanted and not.

Story mode is essential you learning about the characters story and about what drives them and the people in their lives. I've never really cared about the fight hobo Ryu, but after playing the story I know know a little bit about why he spends all his time training in the mountains. New players and veterans can fall in love with the story of a character without beating an arcade mode.

On to arcade mode! It's gone! Now there is a survival mode, where players of varying skill levels can fight against the PC in a gauntlet. If you make it to the end you get rewarded with an alt color and if not then you have some work to do. I like that the colors are tied to a personal achievement as opposed to buying them with fight money like I previously believed. The survival mode is challenging, but has certain buffs that you can get to aid you in your climb to defeating 10, 30, 50 opponents.

When it comes to the online, it's cut out for me a few times today, but I've had a lot of great matches. I;m from the east coast of the U.S. and have had good matches with people from Puerto Rico, France, and Japan.

If your a Street Fighter fan, then you'll be happy with the story, survival, and online modes (when you can get matches). The issue is that anyone who is new will be slightly lost in discovering combos and understanding how to play. I believe that Survival mode is supposed to replace Arcade, but the issue is that no mode teaches a player how to play a character! Which is something that is ridiculous.

The gameplay is fun (i took part on the first two official Beta Tests) and there is much new to discover in the game mechanic. The look and animations are great. The backrounds are interesting and they have all little details which looks great. So, why do i complain? Seems all fine so far. Well, not quite._.

First, the lack of singleplayer content . There is a Story mode, with really easy three till four fights for each character. Before and after every fight, you can see only a drawn picture, which explains the story. Then we have the Survival mode, where you can fight opponent after opponent, until your live bar hits zero. Before the next fight starts, you can select one booster which helps you or increases the score (with a little drawback) for your next fight. That's all. Nothing more for Singleplayer at the current state of the game. There are plans for future content, but that will take a while, until then, you can only fight the dummy in training mode or a local friend.

Now the online part. At the moment, it is not possible to make quick matches. It takes up to three minutes between the matches (i've played 100 approximately so far), if you are one of the "choosen ones", from what i read so far you can't even join a match. Speaking of online part. In order to earn Fight money (which allows you to buy costumes, characters later this year, yes you read right, the shop is not aviable now), you have to be online. The problem is, you get a lot of dissconnets and don't earn anything during the time you are not connected.

My conclusion, buy the game in june or july, when most of the content is released, if you are willing to spend a lot of time grinding for fight money to buy everything for free. Let's be honest that's how it will be at the end. Capcom made a great job and washes down another franchise in the drain. Try to make as much money as possible with Street Fighter Capcom. You will need it later.
