Censoring Cammy's entrance, R. Mika self-butt slap and the jiggle physics certainly was not a good idea! I didn't know there were puritans even at Capcom!

It started really.......really bad, just some nice designs here and there, but nothing awesome, but the game evolved pretty well during the years, to the point at i really wanted to playing after a hard day at work, it deserves a good score.

Easily the worst and most boring sf game in the entire series.
The graphics look so bad its like something out of a childs fairytale book.
The actual gameplay itself is soo weak boring and tedious as well, not even close to as good as sf4.
OH and lets not forget either the severe lack of stages fighters and gameplay mechanics for the first 3 years after the game launched disgusting.

Even for free on PSPlus this game is not worth it. The insanely long loading times (not just each time you start, but even on the character selection screen) are ridiculous and inexcusable.

They took a beloved franchise and threw it away. They combat is the slowest its ever been. The execution is garbage. I could flail the sick around and get a dragon punch. The combos are only like 5 hits at best and the DLC characters are just old characters that should have been in the game from the start. It's disappointing at best.

The game is very good, a lot of nice character, cool costume, and character design is still good looking and sexy. But EVERYTHING IS LOCKED BEHIND A PAYWALL.

*Single Player Only* The combat is deep with iconic characters and varied playing styles. The story modes are serviceable. A newbie will find the basic gameplay difficult. A veteran on the other hand could chain incredible combos. So the higher the skill, the more rewarding Street Fighter V is.

The only way to earn FM is playing online matches offline story or arcade doesn't earn you FM. I played two matches and earned 70 FM. So you spend all day grinding you might be able to earn enough FM to unlock one character this time next year. The sound, music and controls are all solid but that online grind or pay $25 to unlock everything is what holds this game back. Capcom y'all done screwed it up. Expand

Yes but I am really bad. Are there any similar fighting games? Its a Street Fighter game, it feels a lot like Third Strike which has a lot of people excited. Favorite character to use? I like Rashid, my one complaint is his V-Trigger, is slow so I would catch people jumping in on me but it would take so long to come out, I would get punished almost every time.

Street Fighter V is at the same time, a game that revolutionizes the franchise for the current trend (online) and a real disaster for the old guard of casual fans (offline). After the hype soon after its announcement, what was seen at the launch was a game with a full price ($60 USD) but unfinished, without content but online. This situation caused huge frustration to the fans who made SF the most important franchise of fighting games.

It is clear that the franchise could not fail to be part of the online gaming revolution that is happening (long time ago actually) but almost abandoning the offline mode for casual players brought terrible reception to the game that, except by the "nonsense" contentless, is a great game with an incredible gameplay (in my opinion better than SF IV but still so far for the best SF in terms of gameplay ever released, SF III).

As I said, its qualities are its competitive mode (when the server works, of course) and its gameplay. There are exciting new features, new skills and a drastic change in the style of classic characters, which caused some displeasure but brought new perspectives. However, its qualities end here.

Among its many weaknesses, there is the terrible choice of turning SF V into seasons. What initially seems like a good idea to keep the game always interesting, is a bad business for needing to buy season pass over the years. I'm not totally against games with season pass but if the idea was to do this, it's absurdly unfair to sell it a full price of the game at its launch. It'll be fair costs about $20 at the launch and the other $40 would come for at least the first two seasons (the others seasons could be a bonus additions). The justification for this is its second biggest weakness: the F*** 'fight money' (FM). Again, if we it were fair there would be no problems but Capcom's greed is something that always surprises negatively. Basically it is possible to buy all the additional content of the game using only the game money. The problem is that to make enough money you must be a PRO player (what 95% of players aren't) or you simply spend real money. This pathetic situation is identical to the online mode of GTA V. It makes you think that the company cares about the player giving him the opportunity to get everything "for free" but, in fact, it makes the game's content inaccessible to a huge part of fans forcing them to spend even more real money. Something that should be abominable by everybody is still defended by crazy fanboys, even if that most part of them can not even achieve enough FM to get the full content of the game.

Other negative aspects are technical aspects. Even the graphics being beautiful - which is an obligation with the capacity of the current generation -, the exaggerated cartoon style causes bizarre situations. It is not uncommon seeing hair or part of the fighter's costume to go through them bodies. The scenarios are very beautiful but they've to be bought as well (absurd). The alternative costumes are great and bad at the same time. Great because they offer good options like the classics (always the best) and terrible cause there are plenty of nonsense costumes with no relation with the characters (gangsta Ryu for example).

More negatives are the arcade mode finals (which came as a free DLC a long time after the original release), which are just a frame with a simple art (and dubious taste). The story mode has very fast fights and, most of the time, put in the game only as a pretext to justify being a fighting game, including the poor script - which is not uncommon in the series that always has a simple-bad plot.

The game is a landmark in the franchise. It has the great initiative to introduce even more the franchise to the competitive (what I do not like but it is very very necessary in the present days) and brings great gameplay, making the game really addictive. At the same time, it is the worst SF ever released in terms of content and (lack of) characters available available to casual gamers since SF 1 (1987).

If you are an almost pro player, very competitive and a long-time fan of the franchise, it is mandatory. But if you are part of the vast majority of casual player, it is not recommended (unfortunately). Street Fighter V became a niche game (for pro and online players) inside a niche (fighting games) of industry.

I've been playing fighting games for most of my life. I keep up with every gens fighting games, whether it be watching or playing them myself. I can say with no real hyperbole that SFV is absolutely one of the worst fighting games ever made. There's so much wrong with it that I don't even know if I can accurately sum it all up.

This is a game designed with no care, love or heart at all. It was designed to make E-Sports money and that's about it. As a result, gameplay is severely dumbed down and simplistic, the only strategy employable being brain dead rush down. Even characters like Dhalsim and Guile, previously very strong zoners/keep away characters are reduced to rush down tactics simply because it's the only effective strategy. This wouldn't be so bad if characters had any real defensive options but all there is is V-Reversal which imo, isn't particularly effective nor worth spending half the time since your V-Trigger is a huge part of your kit.

V-Trigger is also a terrible mechanic. It's like they looked at X Factor from MVC3 and said "How can we make this wildly inconsistent?" Some people have incredibly strong v-Skills and others might as well not even have them period.

Normal strikes have incredibly stubby hitboxes as well as lacking in active frames. There is also a total lack of close normals and the neutral game just feels entirely random. This whole game feels entirely random and inconsistent.

Capcom has also taken the time to neuter every character and make them all feel incredibly boring. There's not a bit of freedom of in this game whatsoever. I've played First Person shooters with less linear gameplay. You basically guess on every knockdown. Do they throw? Do a meaty attack? Or do they throw bait? That's it.

Everything in SFV feels like its been tested extensively. No combos, meaties, pressure, resets or knockdowns that Capcom doesn't approve of. If this was Capcom years and years ago this might result in something good but unfortunately, not. This is the Capcom that thought DMC: DMC and Dead Rising 4 were acceptable games.

They also put a root kit in the PC version at a point. It was removed but I feel like this isn't something you can't just ignore. They willingly jeopardized your computers safety because they were stupid enough to put colors behind survival mode.

Colors being locked behind survival mode is also just assinine. To unlock colors for your characters, you have to slog through survival mode. 10, 30 and 50 matches a piece for every character and costume you want colors for. I guess now you can use Fight Money to unlock them but am I crazy in feeling like I should be able to earn them in some non idiotic way? Like, pushing a different button? Or by just playing a character in arc...Oh wait, Arcade isn't in this game. Still. For some reason. Don't worry though, plenty of SFV turbonerds will tell you that that's ok. You shouldn't have an utterly basic feature in your game. A feature that's been in existence since, oh, I don't know, Street FIghter 1?

Netcode is also still atrocious. A 5 Bar connection is not consistent at all. One fight it could be perfect, another you get a ton of roll back.

There's also artistic problems with this game. Some of the 2d art is absolutely terrible (See Lauras pinched torso in story mode or Pregnant NecallI) For alternate skins, Ibuki doesn't pull her mask down like she does in her default. Guile also combs his hat in his 30th anniversary skin and clipping is a constant. Even on the select menu. This typically isn't a problem for me but when its right in my face, I take issue with it.

S2 DLC characters are also a waste. Kolin, Ed and Abigail are incredibly boring and dull. Menat is exciting but if I'm being honest, it's just because she's fetish fuel. Costume distribution is also entirely out of whack. Birdie and Fang still only have their default 3. Guarantee Menat gets one before both of them.

This game is also a cancer that is slowly rotting the FGC from the inside out. Attendence at events is down across the board because of this game. It killed the Excellent Adventures of Gootecks and Mike Ross. Barely any YT channesl survived the transition from 4 to 5. That's how bad this game is. Its bringing everything down with it.

I hope if you read this review, you'll sincerely consider playing literally any other fighting game. Play Tekken. Play Injustice. Play Guilty Gear or Blazblue. Play Arikas new fighting game. Play DBZF. Play Dong Dong Never Die. Play near anything else instead of SFV. Don't make the same mistake I did and think this game was going to be good. It's not and no Super Update will save it.

It was **** day 1 and it's still **** now. Don't buy or play this game. It's utter fetid garbage. Play anything else.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is an atrocity to the legendary name of Street Fighter. No Arcade mode, no working online mode, only 16 playable characters and you just know, they will sell you the rest of the game through DLC parasite packs to slowly drain a fool of their money in small increments. A full middle finger to the entire fighting game community and the worst Street Fighter release imaginable. Honestly, Street Fighter IV is one of my favorite games, HOW DID CAPCOM ROYALLY SCREW UP THIS BADLY?!?!?

The gameplay is still in the vein of classic Street Fighter, but Capcom's unrepentant consumer greed and shameless DLC plugging ruin any potential this game could have had. All the characters should have been unlocked from the start because the online mode is such a laggy bore fest, you won't even give a **** about playing it. Also, arcade mode is a shameful disgrace; it's so short and pointless you will want to throw your controller against the wall within an hour. **** this game!

Truth be told – it is now clear that the original complaints focusing on how the game was 'betrayed by filthy casuals who just wanted to play single player modes' were nothing but damage control by players who couldn't believe how lackluster this game actually is. Patches were made, characters were added, and still the game feels mediocre at best, whether you're a casual player, or a professional street fighter.
CAPCOM's disrespectful and cupid business model is still at large, and the whole 'support the scene' excuse they've been so disingenuously hiding behind only goes to show how they want to exploit the competitive scene rather than appreciate and help it – going as far as to use them as scapegoats for their notorious business practices.
They successfully created an environment where the only thing that matters is winning at any cost, whether you worked for it or not, regardless of skill, dedication or improvement – and any person that has a problem with that is 'a salty scrub who can't play fighting games'.
The new single player modes can't do anything significant to save this game's credibility, for the single player (or lack thereof) – though it was insulting – was never the main problem with this game. The 8 frame lag, in combination with internet lag (which is always bad, even if you set the search engine filter to 'only the best connections'), and the overall game design and balance choices made by the developers created a game where learning offense routines by heart, auto-piloting and going for punctual YOLO aggression is more rewarding than any other form of play-style. The problem is not that SFV is a guessing game – you can learn to be a good guesser and be smart about it – but rather that the whole risk-reward aspect of the game feels completely out of balance. You can play immaculate for the whole course of a match and get destroyed in less than 15 seconds if your opponent gets ONE opening. By the time you get knockdown and your enemy starts pulling off his setups, you're already playing with your luck. In the end, winning doesn't feel like a legitimate victory, and losing feels worse than ever. If you have some experience with fighting games, you'll spend most of your time wondering how much more can you take before you throw your stick out of the window. How many mindless yolo-scrub approaches will you be able to punish before they get you with one gimmick and completely change the momentum of the match. It doesn't matter how consistent and passionate about fighting games you are, this game will constantly test your limits in the worst way possible : by showing how little the core skills and mindset you built over the years matter in your progression. The only real virtue at stake here will be your patience.
Making this game more aggressive, fast-passed (even with the deliberately built-in 8-frame input lag) and accessible could have been a nice change of pace and a legitimately good direction for the series, but the necessary adjustments to make it worthwhile were not implemented. Some old mechanics were brought back with no modifications, which leads to disastrous results : getting stunned can happen even to players that aren't playing excessively defensive. Between the block strings, frame traps and extended pressure, one can get stunned in a moment's notice without a chance to respond to the aggression. There were no accommodations made in the frame-data and general mechanics in order to make the 8-frame input lag and the internet lag less of a problem to deal with – which is lazy and goes to show how blindly they believed in the whole mindless aggression play-style of this game. The result is clear : by making this game 'better to watch' they made it a pain to play. While clumsily trying to cater to fighting-game outsiders, they created a game that only feels good for those who don't care about the genre – people who don't want to learn anything, and just want a nice 'rank icon' next to their name so they can feel good about themselves for a while – or people whose next paycheck relies on them pretending to have fun with it.

In order to unlock characters, you'll have to buy them as DLC or grind online where it takes ages to find a game and when you do, it's so laggy that it is damn near impossible to win. Also some character designs look awkward such as Cammy who looks like an alien or R Mika because well, just take a look at her. In terms of replay value, this game is not very good. After I bought it last year, I played it frequently for about two days then I'd only play it at parties or get together's I'd give this game a 68/100. Expand

On the brighter side of things, Capcom has fully embraced the Udon Comics universe with the games. (SFIV did, but it seems that the expanded universe is what they are going off of now) Personally, I LOVED the comics and it was a welcome sight to see what little story was given to be showcased. Hopefully more will be given in due time.

As for the gameplay, it's sharp as always...the low rating mainly because Capcom gives us a rough stone and expects us to cut it into a diamond. Sorry dude, we are the consumers and your audience; want to keep us onboard, stop screwing us.

A year later... and unfortunately the score has gradually dropped with each few months for me. The enjoyment never lasts, even when the temptation to come back via a new update or character reveal is made by Capcom. Balance issues were rarely fixed, lag and server problems are never ending and have wrecked any will to take the game online, leaving just a story mode and survival mode that feels below par compared to SFV's predecessors. Heck, if they keep this up with lack of communication as well, Street Fighter 2010 may become the least stressful out of the two!

If you haven't got it yet, avoid and go for Tekken 7 or Injustice 2 for a more fulfilling experience. If you own it but were turned away or haven't played it in a few months, there is no reason to come back. I've heard the phrase 'never left beta' thrown about and I have to agree with this one. Never reached its true potential. A real shame for the franchise.

My biggest complaint with this game is the servers. I have fast internet, yet gameplay on the servers can be somewhat laggy and it seems they are constantly going through maintenance. I personally think user reviews on this site are overly critical. Capcom appears to be constantly making improvements to this game by expanding character costumes, stages, the roster of fighters, as well as adjustments to balance out strengths and weaknesses of the various characters.

There is a reason why this game has won multiple awards for "Fighting Game of the Year" and why people throughout the world play this game constantly - playing for fun and competing to be the best!

The game was released with an incredibly small roster, incredibly small stage selection, no story mode, and still no arcade mode an entire year later. I bought this game earlier this year for $15 on ebay and still felt incredibly ripped off despite what had been added by then. I can't imagine how angry I would've been if I had paid full price on release day.

While I definitely am one to prefer quality over quantity, the low quantity lacks any quality as well. Street Fighter V does nothing to grow the fighting game genre which is already having plenty of trouble on its own. The greediness of Capcom will be the death of them soon if they keep this up. Even if you're a massive fan of fighting games, I recommend skipping this one.

This game was made for the middle tier and high tier players of fighting games, not for those that wanted a big story mode, MKX filled that market niche.

With seasonal balances, old fightstick compatibility, and lots of options for training, the game is a solid fighter to add to the stable of Street Fighter. If that's not what your looking for then there are plenty of other games out there.

As long as the animations are smooth, as long as the animation transitions in character motion is consistent with the moves that they're performing and are going to perform is 'believable' enough I'm already almost sold.

Then I only need some decent music, good enough balance that one medium punch won't drain like 30% HP, some simple-enough combos to execute... and of course if the core fighting mechanics allow for the occasional button-mashing efficiency for the new comers then it's nearly perfect for me at that point. I'm a simple man... if I have fun in a game and if there's obvious quality versus quantity then I can appreciate that.

I agree that when the game came out it was severely lacking in content. That's because Capcom rushed it out of the door ASAP for the game to be officially available for eSports / tournaments. It was "fine" for that specifically when it came out, but unfortunately that strategy came back on Capcom hard to bite their arse. The thing is that in video gaming you won't have a big window of opportunity to redeem your game if it "fails" at release. The First Impressions, the First-Hand journalistic Reviews, the first Previews... it's all that stuff that counts probably more than the opinions from the actual buyers when the game finally comes out. Initial impressions is what can sell a game, not what you MIGHT add to it one or two years down the line when people already moved on to something else.

The thing now is that Street Fighter 5 really IS a VERY good fighting game in and of itself. However, people remember it, but for the wrong reasons. Meaning that when we talk about SFV to video gamers in general whom have the slightest knowledge about this franchise they'll probably say something like "Oh yeah... that game, I remember when it came out with basically nothing in it". They won't say something like "Oh yeah! SFV! Dude that game was awesome even if it took a full year to evolve into something good".

The only thing I hope to see Capcom doing for the inevitable Street Fighter 6 one day is to see them take their time to work on it, polish it, heavily test it internally with veterans of the series and actual tournament participants that should be invited at regular intervals to the studio as the game is being developed to help the devs better understand what needs to be done. We're probably a solid 4 to 5 years away from the next SF game, but it WILL happen. I just hope that Capcom won't rush that one out too just because of eSports and tournaments.

But all in all, SF5's biggest positive points for me are:

+ Superb Animations (to me it's extremely important in a fighting game)
+ Great music (also very important to me)
+ Great characters selection (including DLC characters of course), I only want Q to make it.
+ Core fighting mechanics are great, very responsive

+ Great fighting pace. The fighting doesn't feel too slow, or too fast of a fighting game; I have time to think, and more importantly I have time to actually see and anticipate what my opponent is going to do or what he's trying to do. In other words the pace is just right for a "Mind Game" between two human opponents.

+ There's now enough basic content, there could be more, but what's there now is appreciable. You have the usual Training Mode, online play (casual and ranked), Versus and Story modes (very short character-specific or a lengthier general story mode). This point would have been a negative at release and even for months to follow, but right now as I type this in April 2017 the game's content is just alright, I wouldn't need more per se; what's there is fine.

Let's just say that at release I would have probably rated this game something like 4 or 5 out of 10. But now I really, REALLY like it. It's one of the best fighting games I've played in the past 10 years. But I'll conclude by saying (and sort of repeating myself in doing so) that Capcom absolutely has to learn from SFV's initial release state. If they want this franchise to continue doing well (or better than it does right now) then they will have to work on the next one for a lot longer before they decide to release it.

The big gist of this for developers is: Stop. Rushing. Games. Out.

    Thanks.

This game is an example of why ALL games needs good, decent bots and Ai to play against, regardless if its multiplayer or not or there might not be enough people to play against OR you might never get a game when YOU want one, instead of waiting. OR you might want to go offline and play and tons of other reasons.

Neither of my USB arcade sticks work in legacy controller mode - on both the buttons work but not the joystick.

Dont believe capcom when they claim SF5 is compatible with PS3 arcade sticks.

I really, really regret that I've pre-ordered this game. It's been 1 year and I still feel like this game is not finished yet. The story mode DLC is so stupid - who confirmed this story?? what a way to waste man-power and budget. An arcade mode is what we need Capcom. Thank you SF5, I don't pre-order games anymore.

Then this happened? take out some nice parts of 4, add new ones that are so so ( meh ), then make it almost exclusively online.
    um, why?
Servers need to be spot on for this to be effective, and they never are, even now.

The biggest insult is the mortal kombat inspired single player, that came as DLC.
its utterly crap. Un fluidic and so badly scripted, cut scene after cut scene leading to a 1 round match, and then repeat. with loading. and loading, and ugh.

Its a great looking game, fights can be intense, and i find the only decent and challenging part of the entire game is the survival 10, 30 50 or 100 rounds, with booosts in between. That i do like, but it cant save the game.
New charactors were nicely done, but this game needed some things to stay the same as it was.
Feels as let down for the single player as Soulcalibur 5 was, and hoping rest.of the game keeps us going, but like Soul Cal'

Im scoring low because even though the game looks pretty, has same Street fighter vibe, its los tout by online only and awful single player DLC to try top boost it.

    Original Review:

I love Street Fighter, but it's so sad to see one time and another time and another time how Capcom is ruining it. They just launched an incomplete game. 16 characteres ??? like 6 scenarios ??? No Arcade Mode ? No Adventure Mode ??? Just compare this mediocre game with Mortal Kombat X. In fact, Street Fighter Alpha 3 have a lot more content than this. This is just a shame. I think the only way of fixing all this would be sending the half of money or giving for free at least 12 characteres and 20 scenarios and all missing modes. I cannot believe they ask 60 USD for this BETA.

    ===

    Editado:

Street Fighter V is an insult to the series; making long time fans of the game franchise and hardcore players take a backseat in the development and continued "improvement" of the game as it attempts to win over new players by rewarding beginners with a very entry-level game with a minimal learning curve and an empty cast of characters. Capcom's seasonal release DLC characters/stages/costumes/colours/everything **** else is yet another money grab from publishers to sap as much as they possibly can without any give or support to the player or community (excluding the capcom pro tour).

The game offers the player very little in terms of any solo-play features; favoring multi-player in every possible way, even the character story mode and free DLC story really just accentuates the money grabbing repugnance of DLCs characters and the sheer lack abd idiocy of the base characters by making you play them very briefly in a headbangingly generic story filled with very little.. ANYTHING. The only thing that can making the pain in your forehead worse from bashing your head off the closest thing in sight is the lack of an Arcade Mode. Replaced with the utter atrocity that is Survival Mode - a mode so infuriating and boring that every character you do this with you end up hating more and more after every victory.

Even character exclusion and appeal to an newer community can be excused; however there is no way to justify paying 1/10th of game's value just for one character (without any of the alternative costumes; that if you would like to get, you either are forced to pay for it or forced to grind for hours just to get). Or even 1/3rd of the games base price just for one season's pass, meaning that with the release of every season you will need to buy another season pass topping the value that you are spending on this inadequacy of a game to ridiculous levels (and don't even get me started on alternative colours).

My aspirations for this game were cut short with the release of Season's Two Akuma and changes to Ryu as the multi-player feel that every second player has watched the same tutorial on how to play the game. If the sudden realisation that this is only going to get worse, haven't hit, the sour taste in your mouth after another 6 seasons of spending money on characters just to play a game that should have been available on day one release should.

Game started off ok, lots of issues but as time went on Capcom was able to fix a lot of the issues plaguing the issues by implementing a type of rage quit penalty, controller support for pc, story mode, more characters and stages and a balance update. The core gameplay is one of the funniest ever in a fighting game and I'm giving the score base on that specifically.

Once those would be implemented, this game is top notch in the fighting game genre now.....miles above what it was at initial release. At initial release I gave this around a 5-6 based on its fighting mechanics mainly, but now I give it a 9. After the season 2 characters and whatever else they improve in that time, I think it'd be smart to repackage and release a Super Street Fighter V or something so this game gets a fair shake for the public. Hopefully, Capcom will learn a lesson from this. Expand

    SF5 sucks. Here's why:
    + Nothing
+ They'll learn from this garbage of a game and make better SF6
    - Simple mechanics
    - Boring characters
    - Slow
    - Characters dont stand out
    - Too casual friendly, no skill required like USF4
    - Boring to watch and play
    - Some animations are too childish and cartoony
    - V-mechanics are so lame, nothing exciting about it

I"ll just point to the fact that Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on PlayStation Portable had more characters, super moves, and more modes back in 2006. Granted, it's not the first time that a five years or so later sequel has had less actual content than a previous game (Sims 4 having less content than Sims 3, Forza 5 having less content and more micro-transaction emphasis than Forza 4), butI"ll just point to the fact that Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on PlayStation Portable had more characters, super moves, and more modes back in 2006. While the content that SFV does have seems to be well executed (offline at least), the problem is that the same sort of content was executed just as well, if not better, and with more of it, over a whole heap of previous Capcom games on different consoles over the last 20 years or so. There are individual components of Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on PS2 that had more to it than SFV.

Basically, this is Capcom's laziest fighting game effort since Capcom Fighting Jam/Evolution.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Street Fighter 5 has great mechanics and adds a brand new look to the franchise. It’s clearly a evolution in terms of visuals compared to Ultra/Arcade/Super Street Fighter 4 but the game lacks in most of the basic aspects expected by any player who already knew the series.
What people been saying about a bare-boned release is true, the game had a full price at launch (when I bought cause i’m a fan) but the content was almost exactly like the beta test. So disappointing.
Capcom made the game intended for online playing and maybe that is the reason of it having almost nothing to do offline for six months besides a very hard survival mode that can let you down in a few minutes and a history intro for each character that you can finish quicker than finding an online match.
The net code doesn’t work properly as well, as it has been eight months since the launch and most of the players still have problems finding a good connection at the battle lounge and – at least for me – they insist in matching me in with far away opponents so the connection is never the best and when i fight someone from my country the connection is not good either (and believe, the problem is not my connection since other games works pretty fine).
The game could be very good in the future and I truly hope it turns out to be as such but for now Capcom didn’t repay all the frustration gamers had along the way of 8 months.

As for the whole missing modes on launch subject, one should understand that Capcom is trying to cash in into this tournaments which is good, Ill give them that , but they need to make sure next time to have at least some kind of incentive for the casual and lone gamer, not everyone here is looking to compete on a tournament.

If you're looking for something new and refreshing, then look elsewhere.
If you're a hardcore fan, which does not mind playing a semi-re-hashed-re-skinned version of SFIV then by all means...
