Stellaris is an aesthetically beautiful and rich in storytelling, and I'm fully enamoured to it. It plays beautifully on console, and it's the kind of game that's impossible to put down once you start playing.

Stellaris is a great 4X strategy games that adapts to console brilliantly. Its story, events and gameplay mechanics will offers you a lot of funny and epic moments.

The only offering of its ilk on PS4, Stellaris: Console Edition squeezes a galaxy of emergent strategy, discovery and story onto Sony's home console with very little compromise. Stellaris is certainly the biggest, if not one of the best pure strategy titles you can get on PS4 right now.

Almost five years after its initial release, Paradox's sci-fi epic graces Sony's console and finally brings the fully fledged experience and thrill of managing every aspect of a galactic empire, from sociopolitical decisions to starship designs. Tantalus' port successfully translates the PC controls, enabling players to boldly go where no other Strategy game has gone before on consoles, and it's a journey worth making.

Stellaris: Console Edition is a mighty impressive game in and of itself. It also did the impossible: make a fairly complex and grand strategy title enjoyable on a console. That should stand as its own achievement. If you have access to Stellaris on a powerful PC, the console edition isn't for you. Even though it is a great title, the console version still feels somewhat restrained and pared down, but that may change with future updates. Regardless, if you're a fan of the genre and only game on a console at home, this is as close as you can get to a great strategy title running in its full glory on a TV.

While it's more than a little weird to play such an outdated version of the game, Stellaris is always an interesting and deep, not to mention surprising, 4X game to pick up. In addition to that, it doesn't have much of a competition on consoles.

Stellaris is a beautiful, busy space adventure that rewards you as much for careful, considered strategy as it does for building a 40-ship fleet as early as possible and going ham on anything with more than one pair of eyes.

If you’ve been burned by console strategy games in the past, Stellaris: Console Edition will wipe away all of your fears. It’s both innovative and ambitious as a 4X, while also, at the same time, raises the bar for what’s possible with the genre on consoles. Thanks to a clever and surprisingly intuitive controller layout, the console edition of Stellaris stays true to the PC original without any compromises. It might not come with the latest version, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy one of the best and most accessible strategy games in recent years.

I will say that the Console Edition of Stellaris is bound to come out to some consternation. Merely because it’s based on a PC game released in 2016, you’re bound to have some complaints from computer players. The control scheme is an obvious one, but the lack of mods on consoles is another one. Still, I had a blast with the game and can easily see fans of the genre racking up hundreds of hours into it on their consoles, regardless. If 4X games are your thing and you’re looking for one to play on your console, Stellaris should be right up your alley!

This is the best 4x game to grace the current generation of consoles, possible the best 4x game to grace any generation of consoles; but that's kind of like winning a race when you were the only genuine competitor. It still suffers greatly from a frustrating mid-game but if you've got the itch to explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate on a console this will scratch it.

A solid port of what is easily Paradox Interactive's most accessible grand strategy game. While Stellaris has evolved and grown over the past three years on PC, the base game is still a good solid grand strategy title with some intriguing ideas for storytelling and managing an endgame, though without some of the depth of their other titles. More importantly, wrapped a controller and TV friendly interface around the game that puts control over even the grandest of empires well within your grasp.

It’s probably the best RTS available on consoles right now, and a great example of an expert port.

Stellaris: Console Edition is a good porting of one of the best strategy game from Paradox. Using a game controller to play with it is not like using the mouse and the keyboard, but the game is vast and incredibly deep, immensely detailed and highly enjoyable.

The challenge to map the complex controls for this engaging and vast galaxy conquest was enormous. And although it is not as comfortable as it is on PC it still delivers an entertaining experience.

If you want to play grand strategy on a console, Stellaris is a deep game you can play over and over again. Be warned though: this amazing game will stalk you with small text and a very slow pace.

Stellaris: Console Edition has a long way to go to catch up to the PC version, but its intuitive controls make it a compelling strategy game on consoles nonetheless.

Stellaris is an in-depth experience. It’s as addicting as any game I’ve played. You’ll be surprised how the hours just slip by while you’re engaged. It’s a black hole that sucks you in slowly, but relentlessly.

A deep and unique RTS that does a little bit of everything and is good at almost all of it. It can be a little bit too deep and dense for some, but that was the case on PC, with the console versions retaining its appeal... despite having less content by now... It will come in a later date.

Stellaris: Console Edition brings Paradox's grand 4X strategy to consoles remarkably effectively, but it's a few lightyears behind in important updates.

An already flawed game struggles with the limitations of joypad controls – but it’s a spirited effort and further proof that strategy titles do work on consoles.

Stellaris is a good 4X strategy game, but its port suffers from the basic differences between console and PC gaming. It would be unfair to blame Tantalus Media, as it’s hard to think how these mechanics could have been improved with the tools at hand. For patient and true lovers of the genre, being able to play Stellaris on their PS4 or Xbox One might be enough to please them, but for newcomers to the franchise or the genre, the clunky and cumbersome controls will prove to be a big turn-off.

And for what it is I am enjoying it a lot at the moment. Have not played pc version I know it is better but give it time. I'm sure this will be updated just as on pc has. It should get better once the dlc is released until then I will have fun with this game. I am picking it up fast for my first time, agreed it can go a little faster. But everything takes time and I think 75 is a fair rating at this time. For the first time on console I think it is a good porting to the controller also. You can't compare it to the pc version if you have already played on pc. I see this as an introduction to the genre for those of us who like to play on console, and I see it as a good game despite being my first time playing. Granted the battles could also be a little better but for what this game is it is very satisfying for me right now. Just hope it doesn't take a long time to improve on it and take forever for the dlc to come out. Full Review »

Graphics are good andThe game takes awhile to build up your fleets and research, but that just means you are getting your money's worth. Graphics are good and controls are easy enough to learn. You have to play Ironman to be able to get trophies so that adds a bit of difficulty to getting 28 trophies to platinum the game. Also enjoy customizing races and then adding them to the game to play against. This game is very addictive and I know it was a great buy. Full Review »
