    By far a clear favourite of mine for 2019 and not because I'm a massive star war fan, actually quite the contrary. Watched the films, there alright and I suppose the game might be a little more enjoyable if you are a star wars fan but either way I found the game to be brilliant. Great story line, looks and feels great and the character development works really well. One of the best of 2019.

    Its my first PS4 game i played on a PS5 with this much frame rate drops and bugs. And this is also my first "souls-like" or (so they say). After playing it in normal difficulty, it is not as difficult as compare to other single player game i completed. Overall, its a "must play" it is the most immersive yet in a movie-based or inspired from a historic franchise. It does have its flaws its not perfect but it sure does worth a 60 dollar game. Im a huge star wars fan so i guess its a big factor. The map is so tedious for someone who wants to get the PLATINUM TROPHY like i doesn't have teleporting system. Overall its a solid game.

    Rate: 8.8 = Excellent game, great details with the movies, awesome enviroments. Great story (which i consider it may be canon). Has a few bugs, but they dont harm the game experience at all. I wish the game has a teleport-back thing when u are re-exploring an already visited are.

    It's quite an awesome game! I never enjoyed much the medieval themes in Dark Souls games, but this one is totally compelling for me. The world building is awesome with all the codex and different animals, enemies, plants...
    The combat is great, easy enough to be honest for a noob in souls-like games. I am playing in hard mode and I am enjoying it.

It has been a while since I played a really enjoyable Star Wars game and with EAs Track Record, I was very apprehensive of getting this one. While there are some flaws in the game, it is overall super enjoyable. Now let's go into some positive parts of the game:

    - All fights feel good and while most aren't very hard, all story critical fights were decently hard
    - Fighting Trilla felt like the endboss fight, that it should feel like
    - Darth Vader showing up after the endboss fight and seeing how utterly weak you are compared to him, felt right
    - The story was good, but ended in the way I thought it would
    - Finding all the lore all around the world was nice
    - No microtransactions
    - Lots of Lightsaber cosmetics to make your lightsaber feel like yours

    Now for the negative points:

    - Default generic male protagonist - having a custom character creator would have been nice
    - Sliding is the most annoying part in the game. It controls weird
    - Bugs, especially when jumping to another platform and then glitching through the world and falling to your death is really annoying
    - Only Ponchos that look pretty weird, some more cosmetic customizables would have been nice

    All in all, this still is a really good, and while it is not perfect it is definitely a step in the right direction. If you enjoy Action RPGs and Star Wars, I believe you'll enjoy this game    … Expand

    The game draws players into a dark episode of the Star Wars timeline. You play as Cal Kestis, a fugitive is thrust from a life of seclusion into a galaxy-wide quest. The story and characters are very believable within the context of the Star Wars galaxy.     The controls are simple and intuitive, with movement and 3D platforming that will feel familiar. The Force adds a unique element here that gives more options for moving around.

    There is plenty of room for exploration and time to explore the new mechanics that the game gradually introduces.

    A well-made holomap makes sure you don't spend hours getting lost or running around without purpose.

    The different worlds you go to are all beautifully crafted and the NPC's inhabiting them make them come more alive.

    The game isn't just about hacking and slashing. Apart from the 3D-platforming, there are some interesting puzzles to solve where once again The Force is your greatest ally.

    The combat is fluid, cinematic and exciting, with plenty of different enemy types and tactics to use.

    There's definitely a challenge to be found here, but the game can be enjoyed casually too.

    The story grabs your attention right unto the end, where it has a somewhat mediocre conclusion, but not a game-ruining one.

    The side characters are all very interesting, but sadly don't get explored in much detail.

    Some optimization issues may arise but these can be solved by following the steps in some simple Youtube guides.

    The rewards for exploration could be a little better. They're worthwhile looking for but not really for going back to, meaning it doesn't help with the replay value.

    Cal unlocks a nice amount of cool moves, but there's no real choices or customization of your character when it comes to how you level him up.

    All in all this game is very enjoyable and will leave you eager for a DLC or a sequel, which, depending on how they expand on what they already have in place, could be Game Of The Year material.    … Expand

    This game kind of reminds of Tomb Raider with Star Wars theme.I loved every part of this game,it's a bit challenging unlike most SW's games but reward is worth it ,graphic's is amazing.

I absolutely love this game to bits, it has an amazing story and an amazing group of characters, I’d have to say the best part of the game was at the end and how you have to book it away from Darth Vader as he starts destroying your path. My only real nitpick is how I think there should be more to the maps or more planets period, other than that I think this game is phenomenal, I love how you can also turn your lightsaber from a single bladed to a double bladed later in the game, one other thing I wish they had was the ability to dual wield your blade whenever you want but that’s masking for too much, this game is fine without dual wielding as another combat system.… Expand

    Игра, вообще, очень похожа на последний God of War, и это здорово.
    Графон понравился на PS4 практически нет лагов. Так же в игре нет подгрузок (Кроме Кашеика, там они, почему-то постоянно возникают, как будто не успели эту планету доработать до релиза).
    В игре много секретов, есть скрытые боссы. Одного я отыскал уже после окончания сюжета. Кстати, в игру можно продолжать играть и после прохождения сюжета, набивать очивки и т. д.
    Сюжет тоже, я думаю, не подкачал. Не противоречит основной канве вселенной Star Wars, и нормально вплетается в нее. К тому же может спокойно иметь продолжение.
    В общем, игра обязательная для поклонников серии, так же всем игрокам советую!

Es un nuevo juego de star wars que ha sabido coger algunas mecánicas de dark souls y reconvertirlas para que queden bien en la temática, así como la creación de unos escenarios increíbles y una exploración que acompaña a los mismos, pero con un mapa que dificuta demasiado dicha exploración, y con unos 3 primeros capítulos que no hacen justicia a los 3 últimos a nivel de calidad, narración, historia, etc. Le iba a poner un 8, hasta que llegué a un determinado punto del capitulo 5, donde se produce la traición de los clones y la orden 66 y nosotros debemos escapar como padawan, no solo el juego me hizo sentir que era parte de él, que el padawan era yo y que fui yo mismo quien vivió ese acontecimiento, sino que al acompañarlo en su banda sonora con la misma que la de La venganza de los sith con las canciones "Anakin´s betrayal" y "Anakin Dark deeds" me recordó lo mucho que disfruté y sufrí con la película cuando era pequeño. Sólo por eso le pongo un 9, no llega al 10 porque el combate tiene muchas imperfeccciones, se alarga de manera artificial porque te pasas explorando mas de l que deberias por el mapa, etc.… Expand

    This game does a great job of balancing time spent solving puzzles with time spent in combat. So many Star Wars games have had very basic combat but this game makes every fight feel significant without becoming a grind. Amazing game!

    Brilliant game with its story, combat and a must buy no matter if you like star wars or not. Only problems is that it sometimes lags and you should be able to save whenever. Really enjoying my experience though and just an amazing game!

    A really fun game, combat is challenging, the bosses can be really hard and I was playing on normal difficulty (Jedi Master), the story is interesting and exploring the planet is really fun. Visually it not the impressive, in cutscene some of the character pop up out of nowhere and the environment didn't render properly. Is a really good game, I recommended

    However, there are some issues I do have with the game. The bosses tend to feel like brick walls that attack you. When you attack while the said boss is not in its stance, they can easily slap you in the face with there lightsaber as if they weren't hit at all. I do struggle with the bosses but that might just me being complete and utter garbage at the game. I have at certain moments sad down to reevaluate my life choices for 30 minutes thinking why the final boss is so hard. It certainly has sent me into utter rage plentiful of times.

    The design encourages players to explore the world and find hidden secrets within small corners of the map. They do feel like a maze and overwhelm the player when looking for a way to the objective and can almost seem like a chore to return back to the mantis. collectibles throughout the map are quite common but sometimes new a little puzzle to solve. Same for missions, you will always run into a puzzle every now and then that takes you away from the combat for a few minutes to test your wits which adds a nice change to the pacing of the game.

    Most of all the combat using the lightsaber is phenomenal. You can't fight through every battle without having consequences for reckless tactics to kill the enemy. To be successful you must think of what to do and study each enemy's attacks and blocks to get the kill. This goes for the bosses as well.

    Anyone who is into an adventure game in space with fun characters and a deep story should pick this up. And if your not into these types of games then you should buy it anyway.

He still had no chance against vader and had to run, so happy they didn't plaster vader over footage and all that. Such an amazing game, the story, the exploration. Reminds me of dark souls… Expand

    Forget about Battlefront loot box mania. This is a great metroidvania game with a Sekiro spin on the combat mecanics. Great music, good visuals and Respawn savoir faire on gameplay. Zero microtransactions. Yes, in an EA game. This is the right path for the Star Wars games, please vote with your wallet. This is an awesome old school experience and a big surprise.     A true single Star Wars game we all been waiting for albeit having some technical issues which can be dealt with, with a few patches but characters are well developed, every character is unique and story is solid. Truly beautiful. Well done respawn.

The Vader scene was amazing, excellent combat, fine history but the game really got me on the exploration side, I love that the game isn't as easy as most of games now days (I played on Jedi Master mode), the only problem for me were the bugs and frame drops, but I'm pretty sure they'll fix it in the future, great game, I recommend for any star wars fans out there to try it… Expand

The end result is a game that feel like a souls games for more casual player. It’s not as punishing as those games and allows for more exploration without the worry of death at every turn.

    Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is a fairly good game. Combat is fairly fast paced as one would expect from Respawn. It is fairly easy to get the hang of and gets easier as you unlock more abilities. The Story is good, contiguous and doesn't go against any canon lore. I give it 9/10.
    Reasons:
    Story, while very good, is fairly short and there were quite a few missed opportunities on the side of Respawn.
    On playtime, I explored and collected almost everything, and minus the time I spent bashing my head against bosses refusing to lower the difficulty my playtime is around 23 hours. If you B-Line straight for the ending without exploring, collecting etc youre possibly done in under 10 hours.

    That being said. I do not regret my purchase whatsoever, and hope there will be some sort of follow-up. While interactions with your "Teammates" are few and far between, they were solid and I got attached to the people in the game (desired effect). I hope the game will have a sequel, or at the very very least a book series on it. Given that Fallen Order takes place in 14BBY, 5 years after Order 66, there should still be a decent amount of wiggle room for followup stories.    … Expand

I caught myself on countless occasions to diverge from my main objective without even realizing it. And when I finally did realize it, I was always hearing this voice in my head, "five more minutes and then I'll return to my mission".

    The game requires of you, first and foremost, to take your time. Relax, don't rush into things. Let the Force flow through you. Be patient.

    This, also, goes for the combat. If you try and muscle your way through this game, if you expect that you can eliminate a group of enemies -hell, even one enemy!- with mindless button mashing, if you think that you are this overpowered jedi who can crush anyone and anything (plot twist - YOU ARE NOT) without carefully plan first, you are about to enter a world of pain. Each encounter with enemies is like a puzzle on its own (especially in higher difficulties). You need to think before you act. Take. Your. Time.

    Regarding the story, I found it good enough, darker than your usual SW story, a fact which I really appreciated. It had some problems with the pacing and the ending is indeed a bit underwhelming, but to be honest it didn't bother me much.

    The one major complain I have with this game is its excessive platforming elements (sometimes it broke the immersion for me) combined with its clunky controls (this doesn't concern the combat, only the traversing). I think they should have toned that down a bit.

    Other than that, it had some technical issues which will be resolved in time I suppose. Moreover, there were a few areas which were under-cooked. In general, the game probably needed 3-4 extra months to be polished I think.

    All in all, I wouldn't regard Fallen Order as a masterpiece, I would however regard it as one of the better SW games out there, and certainly one of the best games of this year. It is not what I wanted (full scale, open world RPG), but in the end I am pleased with what I got. And I really hope we'll get more in the future.    … Expand

    Pretty amazing game, if you’re a Star Wars fan.
    Blending together a ton of different game styles.
    Could be less repetitive at times.
    A ton of bugs and glitches that will hopefully get patched out.
    Could have used some more time for fine tuning and bug fixes but overall is a great Star Wars game.

The customization in this game is awesome (for the lightsabers) after i beat some of the storyA surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.     Jedi: Fallen Order is a well crafted game in my opinion. Great combat mechanics, great visual design and interesting characters. I had a lot of fun with this game. You can tell the first hour of the game that this is a Star Wars game worthy of the name. It feels like this happend. It is believable. You are not a jedi master. You are barely a jedi knight, and it shows. Your chatacter CalJedi: Fallen Order is a well crafted game in my opinion. Great combat mechanics, great visual design and interesting characters.     With that said however, there are a few things that could have been better. Like the loot you'll find throughout the game in chests and what are known as "force echoes". You can craft and tinker with your own lightsaber, and these chests gives you various hilts, switches, and so on. Instead of purely cosmetic, I'd like them to have a more purpose to them. Like hilts that gives you faster swing speed, more initial damage, blocking costs less stamina or so on. Also I'd like to point out that the map feels uninspired and clunky. This is a nitpick from my part though. I finished the game on Jedi Master difficulty, and cleared the Platinum trophy on PS4. So when finding all secrets and chests, the map was of minimal use to me.
    The story is is decent, and better than any of the newer movies (in my opinion). All the characters I grew to love and care about. The only point that I took away was for the loot feeling "useless". But still fun to grind because of combat and puzzles. This is of course all just my opinion. I would strongly recommend this game to any Star Wars fans and casuals alike :).    … Expand

    This is the best star wars game ever made. The story is amazing and perfect length with great villain's and plot twists. Cal is a fun person to play and the combat is very good to. The only reason it's not a 10 is due to the post story game there just isn't much to do after the story. But it is perfect everywhere else

The quicker you understand the map the less treading over the same ground is necessary. You need to fully explore every inch of this game to get the most out of it, and the upgrades.     I've put over 8 hours into it, not finished yet, but I've explored more than 3 planets, and hit some awesome story beats. There are some minor bugs in the background environment, nothing that causes any issue with gameplay. And other than that, it is just amazing! It's beautiful, it's fun, and I can't wait to play more! And again on a more difficult setting.

The traversal and light platforming elements made me feel right at home in this game and I loved traversing throughout an unknown area figuring out where to go. It reminded me of older games where you would get lost in the world and you couldn't just fast travel to the last or next location, you have to coordinate your way throughout the map. The bosses were a ton of fun and I am happy they even included some mini-bosses that were optional to fight. The story was great and felt like it was paced in a great way. The only thing I wish we would have gotten was an arena with a unlimited amount of stormtroopers trying to destroy you. I beat the game and ultimately wanted more from the game and to destroy even more of those stormtroopers. Overall I would give this game a 9/10 for making a well made game with great Star Wars lore.     Star wars jedi fallen order is by far the best star wars game, a mix of sekiro,dark souls, uncharted, tomb raider. the level design is amazing apart from too much platforming without reason, the combat lightsaber mechanic brings pleasure, a nice story, one thing that i disliked was the backtracking and the absence of secondary missions, pretty much linear full time. definitely a must play game

They did the Star Wars franchise justice everything from order 66, clone wars , the republic taking over . It was amazing cal was such a great character he wasn’t cringy he had a great story to him . Every planet had a unique boss battle and thing you can find with a unique aspect of what happened during the war and after the war you will feel like you can play this for days or even months depending on what pace you decide to play really recommend it .… Expand

Y otro punto negativo pero no tanto, es la dificultad del juego. Si de verdad quieres una experiencia de verdad, deberías jugarlo en la máximia dificultad, ya que las demás son demasiado faciles al no haber gran cantidad de enemigos. En resumen, es un buen juego que nos ha devuelto la esperanza de la saga Star Wars dentro de los videojuegos, y esperemos que la última película supere el nivel del juego.… Expand

    I enjoy the lightsaber combat and story so far overall i think it’s great hoping they do more star wars games like this.Respawn Entertainment signaled its revival through this game. They managed to capture both Star Wars and Soul-like fans.

    I really enjoyed this game, the fighting and the puzzles were really fun. The enemies are strong enough that its a challenge.

    The only stopping me from giving this game a 10 for me is there is no fast travel, going back and trying to find loot is a tedious process.

    You know, EA has done one thing right eventually. That's a really good game. The story is really enjoyable if not great, but it absolutely delivers on the combat system and setting. It's interesting for the whole star wars lore (starkiller base). Hope there'll be a sequel

    I was really looking forward to this game knowing it was effectively a mixture of some of my favourite games and genres, and of course, this was another Platinum trophy pursuit for me.

    Performance on base PS4 highlighted some fps slow down on occasion. I'll put this down to the Unreal 4 engine, and lack of optimisation. That being said, it wasn't terrible, just noticeable on occasion.    I was really looking forward to this game knowing it was effectively a mixture of some of my favourite games and genres, and of course, this was another Platinum trophy pursuit for me.

    Optimisation aside, if you're a fan of Uncharted and basic combat, and single player story then I can't see who wouldn't like this, unless you're bored of those games. The graphics are mainly excellent, with the strange exception of some of the characters which oddly seem less polished than the environments, enemies, and Kal animations.

    As the dev's themselves have said, the game is Metroidvania inspired. Meaning you return to areas a few times to finish story, complete challenges or collectibles which become possible based on new force skills you pick up during the story. The game is all about exploring as much as the story. So if you're a gamer who likes to explore and 100% areas, and so forth, this game is a good time.

    The story was enjoyable, and I think the game deserves to be finished which for me means returning to areas to retrieve those collectibles, and finish off side bosses. Length-wise including 100% this was 25 to 30 hours overall. I have dropped a point owing to optimisation concerns on the base PS4, though I've heard the game is sub-optimal on other platforms inc PC as well.    … Expand

    И так что могу сказать про игру. Это очень интересное приключение, но вплане открытого мира эта игра не вывозит.Понравилось боевка и сами движения световым мечом.     Although it has its flaws, this is a great example of a single-player game, and I would love to see more companies pay attention to this. The graphics complement the gameplay and it can be quite immersive. The "Tomb Raider" and "Slide" moments did however start to feel overused and out of place. I would love to see this game expanded with DLC in the future.

    I've waited a long time for such cool star wars! A beautiful game, which with its narrative drew me for over thirty hours! A decent story, great spectacular fights and more orthodox use of the force than those we saw in TFU. Yes, the game is expensive but I think it is money well spent. Especially that in a few months I will play again. I think my little sister will get into it too.

    This game is truly amazing. Awesome graphics, excellent story line, cool charactars, authentic maps, a perfect diffuculty - just a perfection! There are some little bugs & glitches, but these are not relevant or disturb the gameplay. No DLCs or In-game purchases, just a pure video game. What also makes this game so awesome, is that is not only about fighting and intense combat. You    Wow!

    This game is truly amazing. Awesome graphics, excellent story line, cool charactars, authentic maps, a perfect diffuculty - just a perfection!

    There are some little bugs & glitches, but these are not relevant or disturb the gameplay.

    No DLCs or In-game purchases, just a pure video game. What also makes this game so awesome, is that is not only about fighting and intense combat. You can also explore these wonderful worlds and discover fascinating species. CONCLUSION:

    This is a much better game than EA have done since having the star wars license does have some rough edges but the story is great and late game will make your hairs stand on end. I wish it didn't finish when it did as would have been amazing ah well just have to wait till the next chapter in this series as it's set up well overall well worth a play

Questo gioco è stato uno tra i più coinvolgenti che io abbia mai giocato, dal momento che i personaggi; ben strutturati ( Tranne Merrin); sono riusciti a collegare le loro storie con quelle del protagonista tramite eventi o fatali combattimenti. L’unica cosa che mi ha dato fastidio è stato appunto il dialogo tra Cal (il protagonista) e la sorella della notte ( Merrin) che ( a parer mio) non è stati più di tanto implementato. Il resto è a dir poco spettacolare, anche grazie all’aggiunta della personalizzazione della spada laser, non presente nei precedenti capitoli. È un gioco che consiglio; adatto più o meno a tutte le fasce di età. Infine la parte conclusiva da al giocatore la speranza nell’uscita di un nuovo capitolo di questa saga.… Expand

    The best star wars game I've ever played! The mechanics make the game feel fluid and challenging yet still make the game feel endless and easy to progress through while still being challenging for advance gamers

    One of the best games i’ve played and i’ve played lots and lots of games in my life. The only downside is that it only takes like 20 h to finish the game. The game is pretty hard and the controls can be difficult in the beginning. I love a challenge and when you learn the controls the lightsaber fights feels like carving butter. This isn’t a lego game, it’s supposed to be hard.

    If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

    As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

    Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
