    I'm surprised with the wave of low users scores for this game! Battlefront is an incridible detailed game for the new and the old fan of SW. My advice: don't be influenced for beta gamers and fanboys and play this game. I don't have anything else to say because graphics and sound are perfect, the game has a great replay value and will be a lot of my time as my daily option after work.I'm surprised with the wave of low users scores for this game!     Don't listen to the people saying there is no offline stuff. There are 4 offline modes and about 10 unique missions, such as a jet speeder race/battle through Endor. Aerial Dogfights and more. There is a bunch of offline content and tons of unlockables. The game is focused on MP though, and it is amazing. Just don't listen to the people who are rating this low.     I am absolutely in love with Star Wars Battlefront. People keep complaining that this isn't offering what Battlefront 2 did but they need to realize that this is a reboot. This is the first game of a series and is not a sequel but a reboot.

    This game is for sure a 10/10 and for many reasons: *Tons of game modes *Good training options *Co-op *Single player offline play *Superb graphics    I am absolutely in love with Star Wars Battlefront. People keep complaining that this isn't offering what Battlefront 2 did but they need to realize that this is a reboot. This is the first game of a series and is not a sequel but a reboot.

    This game is for sure a 10/10 and for many reasons: *Tons of game modes *Good training options *Co-op *Single player offline play *Superb graphics *Smooth & lag free gameplay *Great vehicle controls *Balanced vehicles/heroes (most everybody gets a turn if they look for tokens).

    With all the game modes game modes there are so many different ways to play. Single player, co-op, multi player.

    I had a ton of fun playing Hero Battles to hone my skills using the 6 heroes currently available (Darth Vader, Emperor, boba fett, Luke Skywalker, Leia & Solo). After having a blast mowing down troops I moved to the multiplayer Hero Hunt which was incredible fun. In this mode there is a single hero and whoever kills him gets to be the next hero, whoever ends up with the most kills wins. It's a fast and fun game mode and it's very exciting to be a hero taking on a bunch of troops.

    Fighter Squadron is a very well done game mode and is one of my favorites. Flying around in a fur ball of fighters with really great explosions going on all around you really put you right in the game.

    Heroes VS Villains is another amazing game mode I feel doesn't get enough credit. 3 VS 3 heroes/villains with troop support. This is the best game mode for facing off the heroes.

    The Endor race is the absolute best I've seen in any Star Wars game.

    Star Wars Battlefront is the type of go to game for epic online battles on a huge scale in a beautiful and detailed environment. The game is very well made and there are very few bugs or online issues at launch. I myself have experienced no issues at all.    … Expand

    Solid (easy) gameplay, stunning graphics and tons of atmosphere make this game a must buy for every Star Wars fan! Free and paying DLC is on the way so there will be enough content when it's all there!

    I think the game is awesome. It looks amazing on my television and some of the modes are so chaotic it gives quite an adrenaline rush. I wish you could couch co-op with your buddies though in online mode.

    Likely the most amazing game I've ever seen visually.

So this means a lot of action in a minute in big scale map. So don't think silent moves changes game in this game like BF.
    You can't feel the fear in any game when you see Darth Vader runs on you in    it's really fantastic game for all Star Wars fans who like to play FPS.     I have been playing battlefront for months and I am at level 65: If you like Star Wars and multi-player shooter, BUY this game! You might pay $25-$75 after inflation.

    Does exactly what I wanted. An accessible, fun, online Star Wars shooter with staggering visuals, amazing attention to detail and enough modes to keep me occupied for months. It may lack the depth of Battlefield or the immediacy of Call Of Duty, but it's not meant to be either. Accept it for what it is, and what it wants to be, and it's just brilliant.

    This is one of those little gems of a shooter I have been waiting for. It looks, plays and sounds absolutely awesome. The amount of detail put into this really is an astonishing feat. The level of content in the game I believe to be good there, is a variety of maps to play around on with more on they way.

    Thank you Dice for creating this wonderful atmosphere.

    Have to say this doesn't have a campaign. But the awesome multiplayer gameplay the ultra realistic graphics of this game and the stunning environments made me rate it 10/10 . Good job DICE !!!!!!!!!!!

    Okay, this game is more like a 8/10, but because so many people are giving this a 0/10, I want to make it fair. After playing for a few hours, it is not that bad. I do not recommend it at $60, but if you got it at $40 like I did, I think that is fair.

    But it seems clear that many have forgotten how they had launched battlefield and campaign mode maps and more input and which served? if all you have this battlefront makes the multiplayer a unique experience and not have to walk denying to lag drop lows not to mention bugs, and now we must continue to complain because there's always something to do, even though we have a very well careful with the recreation of Endor as the queen of the house,
    Oh, and woe to those who thought this would be a skin of BF4, is undoubtedly disappoint laments different and is 100% star wars sound gets you into the movie and not a game.
    I enjoy this game does not speak of prices if they are expensive, everyone does what most pleases with its money, this is my jovi practically the only thing I invest for my hours of fun, maybe others would like throwing money in the casino, well I like to "throw here"

    What a wonderful game for online multiplayer lovers. There are many different game modes, so you can choose if you want to play close quarters ( blast), capture the flag(cargo), capture bases (supremecy) or one of the other 6 modes. the pace is right, non stop gameplay for domination. yes there is no single player campaign, but im in it for the online :) and oh ya, the graphics are insane

    I don't understand why people hate this game! There is so much hate! This game is great! The graphics are absolutely FANTASTIC! You get immersed in the fighting. The game sounds good too. The controls are simple and that is good because when you are on the "battlefront" (see what I did there?), you need to move around and shoot. All of the game modes are fun and really exciting (Heroes vs.I don't understand why people hate this game! There is so much hate! This game is great! The graphics are absolutely FANTASTIC! The worlds that you can fight on are really cool and have so many cool areas to go to. Also, people say that the flying parts of the game are terrible, I have to admit, they are not fantastic but they are good. The developers focused on the ground fighting and the ground fighting is fantastic. This game is overall an AMAZING game that should delight any Star Wars fan.     The game gives fans of Star Wars exactly what it needs and that's playing the role of iconic character in the world that is Star Wars. The controls are simple and clean. The graphics are amazing and the environments looks luxurious. Definitely recommend for any Star Wars fan looking to live out there dream of living in the Star Wars world.

    Extremely casual, thats fine to me. Who says the guns have no recoil & variety... its utter bs. The feel, sound, recoil, speed, damage every single hit is different. Pick your apple as theres so much to choose from.

    it is the best star wars game of all time 14 maps but in the season pass will be 16 more maps so 30 maps is enought and 10 heroes and villans and 13 modes plus singleplayer missions plus lot of weapons star cards

    Es ist genau wie's sein soll. Es ist nicht zu kompliziert, macht Spaß und ist für jede Altersgruppe geeignet. Außerdem sieht es wunderschön aus und hat eine gute Star Wars-Atmosphäre!

    It's exactly what it should be. It's not too complicated, makes fun and is suitable for every age. It's also very beautiful and has a very good Star Wars atmosphere!

    This game is a solid 10. I don't mind the all online. I love the fluid controls, beautiful worlds, hectic online battles. I love everything about this game. If you had fun playing Battlefield 4, there is no way you won't like this game.

I use to play Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 1/2, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 and all the other great games in my opinion back in the day. I understand the lack of campaign bothers people but the MP portion is amazing and innovative with the game modes. Droid Run is a mobile domination style game where instead of a fixed flag you have mobile droids to capture and hold. Fighter SquadronConfused by the low scores.     Supremacy is a ton of fun, a tug of war Rush type game with the ability to take and re-take control points. Very fluid game style and unlike any I've played before. Blast (TDM), Drop Zone and anyone who played the beta is familiar with Walker assault. Although Walker assault on Endor is ridiculously fun.
    Any Star Wars fan will love this game, the musical score is immersive and you feel like you are in the SW universe. The Maps are incredibly detailed and wide open. Speeder bikes on Endor, AT-ST's, AT-ATs, A-Wings, Slave 1, the list goes on.
    I don't understand the lack of content gripe either, so many game modes, and while there may be only 4 planets the maps on each planet cover a wide area. Destiny only launched with 4 planets and all of their game modes occurred on the same section of that map.
    I have been waiting for a long time for this game and to me it did not disappoint.    … Expand

    This game is amazingly beautiful in its visuals, sound and overall gameplay. The immersion into the Star Wars universe was exactly what I was looking for and I am hoping to spend hours upon hours playing out some of my Star Wars fantasies. If you are a fan of Star Wars or want a shooter that you can have fun in, this game is for you.

    I don't actually know why so many people say that the game hasn't enough content... It has i think around 10 modes, AND ALL OF THEM ARE INTERESTING! There's enough possibility to play as the heroes, I think. I think it will be even better with the Season pass, but it's too much to pay 50 dollars for a DLC.

    I was thinking between bo3, bf4 and Destiny. I have never regretted about buying this game    … Expand

    Screw the haters, this is a true masterpiece! The graphics are stunning, sound effects are spectacular and the whole experience is very smooth and polished. The maps, the weapons and the character models are all made with an amazing attention to detail. The hero voices are pretty bad, but other than that DICE has really nailed it.

So lasers are flying everywhere,all the time, hitting stuff. Those lasers aren't just from small arms off course. AT AT's, AT ST's, Laser turrets and Aircraft are also blasting away. Not to mention the orbital strike, and if you look up you might even see a battle going on in space. It is epic and it is Star Wars. If you like Star Wars, you need to play this game. Period.

    PS: People are complaining about a lack of content. What you get is an online shooter with 13 maps(4 of which are massive), several cool game modes and single player missions. That isn't bad at all.    … Expand

    Awesome! Is all about FUN, FUN and FUN! Great Graphics, sound and fluid networking! I have always waited for a game like this one. Walker assault, Supremacy, Aerial Combat, Heroes battle and a lot more.

    Gameplay feels awesome, hero combat is surprisingly well thought out and fun. Visuals and sound are incredible. Epic and thematic, feels like your in the movies. Super authentic.

    I find it a great game but lacked what all battlefront is the originality of the first two and I wish they at least had a history as its predecessors , but it did me good online game , I expect to see DLC height for play

    I would have given this game an 8 had it not been for the graphics. The game is a lot of fun, but it's definitely not like the older ones. With a lot of improvements in some areas. It's lacking in others such as the campaign, the weapon list, space battles, and some other items.     This games is spot on! The season pass is good too! Great shooting game with great game modes and many Easter eggs for the die-hard fans! I play this game heavily and spent much time seeing how I can do batter. Also, they have added more single player modes and have added more maps. This game has been a blast for me!

    By far, this game has enough content to compare it with Battlefront II.
    The graphics at it's best, the gameplay as it's best, the servers are great. This game will give you at least 50 hours of gameplay before starts to be boring. People are hating this game because they don't want to afford over $100 on the game + extra content. It's a masterpiece.

    One of the most unfairly maligned games for PS4. Simple FPS third person combat, beautiful settings, brilliant game modes, great progression systems, and just an all around fun game that stands the test of time.

    Lack of content? Sure. But that's why we have Battlefront 2! Can't wait.

Now new COD is out and I didnt even get to the prestige mode yet and I just got completely sucked in by Battlefront.     If this game had a little more content at launch, and not much more, some more storm trooper skins and one more planet, which would give 6 planets after the upcoming free DLC, I'd give it the perfect 10.

    While we're on content, I know a lot of people are complaining about the Season Pass but to be fair after how DICE handled Battlefield 4 I'm okay with it. The amount and quality of content that was released for BF4 was easily worth the $50, it really kept the game fresh.

    People are constantly giving Fighter Squadron a hard time saying it's terrible... From what I've seen in gameplay, a lot of people don't know you can hold down LT (Left Trigger) and it helps you aim.. Seriously a lot of people aren't picking this up. Fighter Squadron, for me personally, is my favourite part of the game. I love the space battles as they look and feel so much like star wars, (in third person) while fighting in an x-wing over tatooine and destroying a tie fighter, I felt like I was in Star Wars episode 7. That shot where the X-Wing destroys the Tie-Fighter in that trailer, looks so much like this game. I love it.

    Overall I love the combat, an area i felt kind of lacking was the heroes and villains. They're fun to be sometimes but there are some modes I wont be playing, e.g. hero hunt and Heroes VS Villains, I don't really enjoy being a hero fighting villains, I would rather just be a hero slashing up other people, that's why I detract from Heroes VS Villains and I don't like Hero Hunt as I become a hero/villain so much it gets kind of boring. However I really like the other game modes, the ones I play most of are: Supremacy, Blast, Walker Assault, Cargo and Fighter Squadron, as they are the ones I really like. The other 2, Droid Run and Drop Zone, are okay I guess, not my favourite but still pretty good.

    Overall Battlefront is fantastic, sure there are a few things i dislike, the fact that there's a few weak game modes, I would like a story mode, despite the reason I don't play it for battlefront and I dislike the season pass BS. overall I think it's a great game, solid fun and I've had a great time on it overall.    … Expand

    If you want frantic battles that you can play with friends and just have fun. Look here. Intimidated by online shooters? Afraid you will go 2-20 in a game and have some 13 year old nerd rage at you. Don't worry chat is limited to party chat. Not good at shooters? You can still have fun. Just when you are at the point where you are getting slaughtered an AT ST power comes to save you and you can lets some steam lose by blasting that Rebel Scum to bits.

    A rant about something I have seen in other reviews---
    My favorite complaint is about the lack of recoil on the weapons..... LOLOLOL. People obviously don't understand physics. The reason a weapon has recoil is because it is projecting mass one direction which causes the launch mechanism to absorb the energy created in the opposite direction.

    LASERS DONT HAVE MASS. Well they due I guess technically but not enough to cause a noticeable recoil effect. Any movement of a laser based weapon would be caused by the internal mechanism that create the laser itself. It could vibrate, be unstable in some ways but there would be no recoil... whats next are people going to complain that flashlights don't have recoil?? anyways rant over. -----

    Recommendation- If you like Star Wars and want a fun game, buy it.

    I am surprised at how divisive this game appears to be. For me, at least, it is just straight up fun. The shooter mechanics are a blast, though certainly not as complicated as a game like Battlefield 4. I like the star card system, as it allows plenty of customization for what you bring in to each match. The graphics and sound are unbelievably good.

    It is not a game for people who are looking for a single-player experience. If that's what you want, then I think you are going to find the offerings a bit thin. There are quite a few single player/co-op missions, but I don't find them all that engrossing.

    The multiplayer is great, though. The maps for Supremacy and Walker Assault are generally really well designed, though Supremacy still needs a little spawn tweaking on certain maps. Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, and Droid Run are all a blast as well. Blast (team deathmatch) does not interest me in this, or any other, shooter. Unique playmodes like Heroes v. Villains and Hero Hunt are also available and fun, but not quite as engrossing to me.

    It would be a nice, I suppose, if there were more maps for Walker Assault and Supremacy, though the free Jakku DLC will likely add another to each. But I am really pleased with the maps that are available. They are quite large and it will take me a while to really learn them.

    More importantly, I am really pleased with the gameplay, which is some of the most fun I've had in a first-person shooter ever. For me, this game was worth every penny.    … Expand

When it was released, it sold well (because of the marketing) but the game itself was in many people's opinions (including mine) more of a flop. A year later however, more people bought the expansion to the game (than when the game was first released) because the game's developers literally redefined the game, almost improving on every aspect. My hope is that the same will be for Battlefront also. And you can't say Dice did not put effort and hard work into this game. Just by looking at the graphics and listening to the sound effects, you can tell that they loved Star Wars and they loved working with it. I read most of the professional critic reviews and most of the flaws in the game (according to them) were: the story (you can watch the freaking movies, it's STAR WARS for crying out loud), the soundtrack (Uh, they could have not HAD a soundtrack??? Plus, you can just mute it if you don't like it - the sound effects are good enough alone), and pointless game modes that are too similar to Battlefield and other shooters. That statement is highly opinionated and is sad to hear pro critics saying things like this. Besides, did you know that Battlefront started off as a Battlefield mod? Yes, in Battlefield 1942 there was a Star Wars mod and that's where game developers got the idea for Battlefront. If you don't believe me, you can do some research. Yes, a FEW disappointments here and there (soundtrack, modes that are "pointless," and no story), but overall, Battlefront is an amazing game fully deserving of a nine out ten rating an that is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.… Expand

    The setting aside, the game plays wonderful. Controlling an infantry trooper or vehicle alike, the controls are fully responsive and feels natural at first, but in order to really shine, you must of course master everything. The game modes, although limited in numbers, will keep you playing this game for a long time. I've had a hard time trying to stop play Fighter Squadron and try out all the other modes, it really is that good. Controlling a tie fighter in the middle of a raging aerial combat really is a cool as I've always expected.
    Many of the reviews state that the lack of content should be rewarded with a close to 0 score. Well, if you are a hardcore Battlefield grinder and enjoy the confusion of hundreds of guns and gadgets, I get your point. Myself, I really like what Dice did here: kept it simple and understandable. Unlocking everything will keep you busy for a long time, and most importantly, every unlock MEANS something. In Battlefield, you get tons of stuff throughout the game which actually creates an inflation.
    There is off course flaws to this diamond as well, but the pros out-weight the cons in so many ways that I do not see any other way to finish this review than a big applause to Dice for delivering the game of the year.    … Expand

No single player can let some down, but you know this before purchasing it. Walker Assault is all out war w/ objectives and heros to match, easy to get lost within it because of its grand scale and for me, thatThis game bring the FUN back into gaming.     Still plays and looks ten times better than Fallout 4. This game is literally so much fun that I dropped FO4 and just play this.     To the point. Graphics are AMAZING - the game is so alive, gfx glitch free and detailed its unbelievable. All that with like NO FPS LAG what so ever.

    Sound FX is AMAZING - seriously I just bought home theater just for this game. Do you want to get into the battle? Here you are, just don't forget to come back.

    Gameplay? It is SO fun. So amazingly fun. Matches are dynamic, interesting and not that repetitive for a fps game.

The actual game modes were just so fun - especially fighter squadron, heroes vs villains, blast, walker assault and supremacy. I cant stress this enough: vehicles are great. The graphics are absolutely stunning, the score is so on point I'm actually shocked it wasn't scored by John Williams himself. The game play is fast paced and brutal, but not so crazy you couldn't sit down with your 9 year old son and blast some Troopers. ThereI'm really shocked I love this game as much as I do.     Very entertaining game with outstanding visuals and action. Cant get much closer to the feeling being in the galaxy far far away. 2 new maps and 1 free new game mode upcoming making this awesome blaster war even better. I reduced 1 point cause of the match making system that does not mix up the teams after matches.

I have play ed bf4 and bf3 and battlefront 2, all are similar to this but the fluidity, the gameplay, graphics everything is better and with jokku coming out the endless amount of content delivers.     This game is amazing , it packs loads of fun , the only downfall is that it hasn't got that much single player missions and there is no campaign , still doesn't make it a bad game .

    Main reason for this review is to counter the people who are reviewing this game for what it is not. It does not have a story mode. If you want a story mode do not get this game. If you do not like playing online shooter games, do not get this game. It's amazing in my opinion for what it is, but obviously it's going to suck for what it is not. There is a local game mode, but it's minimal. I've had a good time with a buddy on split screen with a couple of the scenarios, but mainly this game is built for online shooter fans.

    If you are a Star Wars fan. This game is fun. They did a good job of catering to the movies and creating the feel of the Star Wars world. There is something pretty awesome about walking out onto the battlefield as Darth Vader and using your light saber to deflect the enemy shots back at the enemies. Even for a short term novelty experience, I think this game is worth it.    … Expand

I love how you can play different characters, use different weapons, and recreate wars and battles from Star Wars. If you are a newbie, you need to work up the latter just like reality. When I played this with my boyfriend, for the first time, we fell asleep later that night and I startled him awake by yelling, " we need opposition forces NOW!!" Over and over. I never sleep talk, that is how much of an impact this game
    made on me. It helps when you are playing on a high HD tv with incredible surround sound too.    … Expand

    It's not the most complex shooter, but it's the ideal pick-up-and-play experience for Star Wars fans. Stunning environments, solid shooting and immersive sound design mask the shortcomings. [Jan 2016, p.82]

    With the new film of the space opera saga finally on the big screen and the release of Battlefront's new sequel, both after a decade overdue, it is definitely the best time to be a Star Wars fan. The game itself is a dream-come-true for fans, and the Star Wars spectacle is strong in this one. However, if it is depth and longevity you seek... this is not the game you are looking for.
