    Battlefront is a fun game but it gets pretty boring pretty fast. The gameplay itself is fun but it gets repetitive as there are only a few maps and to get anymore you would have to buy their DLCs. The game further disappoints with a very barebones offline experience and a lack of any the main characters in Star Wars. In the base game you have only 6 heros/villans to play as, there are moreBattlefront is a fun game but it gets pretty boring pretty fast. There are also a lack of vehicles that you can play as so this also adds to the boredom. Graphics wise the game still holds up to even todays standards so no complaints there.     That not it, even with the dlc there is a big lack of hero and map of the prequels. No campaign is also a disappointment.

    This game is not bad but not great either there are limited options in offline mode which is my preferred way of playing games and it feels short or missing content but for a shooter is rather fun to play once in a while.

I was unable to enjoy this game for more than 10 minutes, and found almost nothing compelling in it beyond solid graphics and adequate sound design. The PC predecessors from about 2 decades earlier trump this in terms of enjoyment.     Great game, they really poured their souls into this one. Only could use more aliens, maps, heroes, conquest mode, etc, the type of game you wish still had live-service updates!

    I wanted to play this game for years. It looks good. Using vehicles is interesting. The game is overly complex with various modes, weapons, and costumes. There is no single player mode to go through a story. The gameplay is strange. The fighting mechanism are rather limited and it is weird to run around collecting icons too. It is cool to run around as Luke or Vadar but I am glad that II wanted to play this game for years. It looks good. Using vehicles is interesting. The game is overly complex with various modes, weapons, and costumes. There is no single player mode to go through a story. The gameplay is strange.     The gunplay and graphics are great. That is it for compliments honestly. Map variety is terrible. No campaign. Hardly any game modes. Not enough good content as well. Unfinished game

    Funny to say I loved this game. Yes it was not much - only few good game modes only a bunch of maps. But I probably spent hundrets of hours with it, for me it was the first shooter I liked. I am not a 80h a week player so I am never good enough to get all the good updates and dominate the matches. I think Battlefront was really good balanced - even a total noob can enjoy the matches youFunny to say I loved this game. Yes it was not much - only few good game modes only a bunch of maps.     Played Star Wars Battlefront very excellent game also great graphics and voice work also easy controls really enjoy how if you play skirmish mode which can you play either Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron on various worlds of the Star Wars Universe which include Tatooine, Hoth,Endor, Sullust and Jakku you are thrown into a war in the of The Star Wars An Improved Game Thanks to DLC Skirmish Mode

    On the firsthand, the UI is so hard to navigate through to find what you want. Once you jump through those hoops, the arcade mode is really fun. Me and my friends had fun with it. As to let you know, I'm not a hardcore Battlefront person because I mostly play for multiplayer. So if my review doesn't go with all the bad ones, it's because I don't do campaign and co-op.

    Star Wars Battlefront is a good game (not if you only love single player). The visual are stunning and the controls are ok. The weapon variety is good and the map design accommodates the flow of the match. The starfighter combat may not please some hardcore fans but it accessible and easy to learn and I can not say enough how satisfying is it to kill someone in a dogfight.     This game was one of the first games that I logged 500+ hours in. IMO, this game is the definitive Star Wars game, even though I can see all the arguments against it. You can tell at launch it was very rushed, as there were only about 8 game modes (of which only 3 were good), about 4 unique maps and no single player story. The heroes and villains and the starships are the most unique parts of these games, and they do not disappoint (except the fact that you have to run around the map looking for a pickup). If you get the chance to experience this game and it's DLC, the Bespin and Death Star maps are my favourite level designs, maybe ever. I might be biased cause I love Star Wars, but this game is just that good after 5 years.… Expand

    5/10 - No sé si habrá sido que no entendí la forma de avanzar en el juego o qué, pero como friki de Star Wars el juego no me atrapó. Gráficamente está muy bien logrado pero la mecánica no logró funcionar conmigo. Ni si quiera me lo pasé, sólo lo empecé.

    Call of Battlefield: Star Wars Edition. This game is nothing like the original series, it took Battlefield, and replaced all the guns with blasters instead. Very mediocre considering it's supposed to be Battlefront. Still worth the purchase if you can find it on sale like I did.

    No microtransactions :-). But nothing like the 2005 battlefront everyone loved. No content. No campaign. Vehicles require a boring uncreative token system. Great graphics and environment textures. Best gun play in the series. Very disapointing. Go play the 2005 or 2017 battlefront.

The enemy team can get behind your spawn and just snipe you. Not to mention the jetpack which allow players on top of the map with unlimited sniper shots.     Les jeux vidéo ne son pas mon fort mes je peut dire que ce jeux la est un très bon jeux. Les graphisme de ce jeux sont éblouissent. Les maps son très bien reproduite. Tous les objectif du jeux son très bien pansé. Les scènorios de bataille on toute l’aire réaile.

    Co-op: This is actually the better part of the game, offering races on shooting motorbikes, letting you fight waves of stormtroopers, big ass robots and aircrafts. I enjoyed playing this with my friends.

    If this game had been 30 euros, i would have understand the lack of content. But for 60 euros, and a 50 euro season pass? **** you EA, this is just a scam.

    Gioco piacevole per chi è soprattutto amante della saga , buona la grafica , personaggi e ambientazioni fatti molto bene però penalizzato dalla mancanza di una modalità campagna . Gioco che però è stato lanciato come capolavoro che però non è stato gradito da tutti ( vedendo dalla media da quasi nessuno )

The shading, lighting, coloring, and literally everything else graphically is perfection. However as i have stated the game is lacking. Game play wise is okay. Hero's are so much fun but the fact you have to pick up a token to play as one is stupid and creates camping in those spawning areas. Progression and unlocks happen far too slow. But the worst part of this game is the lack of content. Almost no single player content except for tutorial missions which is so sad. The missions are all pretty basic so if you want to play offline alone there isn't much for you. There are literally 4 launch maps for the standard edition which is outrageous. There is only a handful of good multiplayer modes as well. The amount of content for the base game is so disappointing and after a while you feel like you experienced everything that can happen and it makes the game feel shallow.     Star Wars, no merece que una saga tan ASOMBROSA sea tratada de esta forma, despreciada asi, que EA (La peor compañia de todas) trate asi a Star Wars.
    Fui asi como muchos engañado, pensando que este iba a ser un reboot despues de aquella maravilla de Battlefront para PS2, y PC, no señores, fue un timo, por parte de EA, un juego unicamente multijugador, desbalanceado, poco contenido, bueno    Star Wars, no merece que una saga tan ASOMBROSA sea tratada de esta forma, despreciada asi, que EA (La peor compañia de todas) trate asi a Star Wars.

    How is it possible to create a star wars game with no single player at all? Very disappointing and laziness from EA. This game could've been amazing if it had a single player campaign. The graphics and shooting is nice but besides those 2 everything else is a disappointment
    This game is just pure multiplayer and nothing else.

    Overall, quite a disappointment considering the pre-release hype. The biggest drawback was the lack of a story mode, opting instead for a handful of pretty straightforward 'missions'. The online gameplay however is just what you would expect from the team behind the Battlefield series - being both huge & beautiful (if not fairly repetitive).

    EA's Star Wars: Battlefront is NOT a great game but it isn't an abomination either. This game has really great graphics and the gameplay is wonderful. The flight controls however do suck.     The gameplay consisted of your standard shoot the other guy/capture points/blow up things then move on game styles you see in nearly every multiplayer game, with the only major addiction being walker assault that is in all honesty just a reversed version of rush from Battlefield.

    There isn't any single player campaign, and what single player content there is consists of tutorials and boring survival horde mode style games, and point collection. Later a skirmish mode was added, but the lack of something like "Galactic Conquest" is inexcusable.

    The other thing is that the game was just unfinished. It was obviously rushed, and content was also taken out, only to be added as dlc for an extra, at the very least, $50 dollars because of the season pass system that the game has. This lack of maps and variety makes the multiplayer, the thing the entire game is designed around, incredibly boring after only a short time playing it.

    The only praise I can give the game is that it is Beautiful. The Graphics look nearly photo realistic and it feels like you are in the famous locations of star wars. The Sound design is also amazing. But these are minor things in a game.

    Overall, this game is bad. It lacks content, gets boring quickly, and has nothing that will make you comeback to it after a long period of time.

The game is unpolished, with a number of animation glitches happening within the first few hours of the game. The heroes, while fun to play as, feel stupidly overpowered while playing with bots, and as a result the biggest thing Star Wars: Battlefront had going for it added thirty minutes of playtime, only ten of which were refreshing. I can guess that the heroes are more fun to play as in the online mode, but I've read that people will just hang back and steal the hero tokens so nobody except a few people will every play as heroes. The other single-player modes are fine, but there is so little substance here that they all feel stale, boring, and repetitive. There's nothing of interest on these linear, barren maps, so no match feels distinct, not to mention the fact that everything in this game is so limited in terms of substance. There are no open-ended systems to use to your advantage, and no clever physics. This game is so limited, and I think that is the root of all the problems here. Yes the aesthetics have been nailed, and everything looks and sounds authentic to the Star Wars universe, but nothing about the gameplay actually reinforces the visuals, and as a result Star Wars: Battlefront lacks any sort of depth or interest. There is so little that appeals to me in Star Wars: Battlefront, that I could not excuse myself for giving this game anything more than a 2 out of 10.… Expand

    Game is gorgeous. Let's get that out of the way. The graphics are out of this world, the sound design is one of the best ever in a game. But the blatant lack of content and the extremely expensive season pass leave consumers feeling betrayed and wanting more. The game will fail to hold your attention and fade away.

The population numbers tell me that I'm not the only one. My son and I had some co-op fun running off-line missions, and it's clear that this game badly needed an off-line campaign. It's no surprise to see this title selling for less $10 new. It is perhaps the worst game purchase I have ever made.

    The multi-player itself is standard Battlefield: shoot, die, repeat. There are some goals to reach but without any coordination the results seem random. The standout modes are dogfights and walker assault. The vehicle combat is well done, and my only complaint is the lack of a rebel land vehicle. The Snow Speeder is nice enough, but moves too fast to take down ground troops. The dogfights are marred only by the way too powerful Millenium Falcon and Slave 1. Their health bars are ridiculous.

    The negative reaction to this game is understandable. The player stats also show a middling player population. By the end of 2016, I expect the game will have to drop most of the playlists to keep the populations viable. I don't see how DLC playlists will ever have viable populations. My recommendation is to avoid the DLC altogether until EA figures out how to make this game more popular.

    The leveling system is as frustrating for new players as any. This bar to entry is another knock against the anemic player population. Hopefully developers will realize the value of playlists with equal starts. At least the dog fighting game has old and new players at an equal level.

    Though there is no campaign, the game does support split screen. Couch co-op is great fun and I believe this is the only game this generation with couch co-op. nonsensically, there is no proper party system for bringing friends into a match. The best you can do is have one friend guaranteed to be on you side while your other friends may randomly end up on the enemy's side. This should be the developer's no.1 focus right now and the most immediate cure to the population problems.    … Expand

    The gameplay isn't bad but it is inferior to the other Battlefront games that I have played. I don't know why anyone who choose this game over dozens of other FPS games aside from the graphics and the fact that it is a Star Wars game. There are very few weapon options and most of them are pretty generic. They added character customization but the options are extremely limited. There are only a few battle scenarios.

    There is no storyline or campaign mode at all. Even fighting games put in a basic campaign. There is really no excuse for this.

    Obviously the visuals are great, however, there is very little creativity. I can't think of any past Star Wars games that looked this good but almost all of the past Star Wars games that I have played, such as Jedi Knight or Shadow of the Empire, include unique designs that added to the Star Wars world. Battlefront does a good job of presenting what we already know but doesn't give us anything new design wise.

    Sound Design is basically the same situation as the visuals. Everything sounds great but it is basically just the same sounds that you get in the movies, there are no memorable original songs. Basically EA got what they paid for, recorded it in game form and sold it to consumers at a markup. It sounds good so I give it some props for that but in a world where even indie games are starting to have amazing original tracks I expect more from a massive franchise from a massive company.

    Considering that the game is purely focused on multiplayer I would have expected a lot of maps to choose from but there are hardly any and while they all look great they are all pretty small and not that complex. Just like everything else in this game, they just don't seem to be very inspired.

    While Battlefront is far from the worst game and the production values are mostly excellent, that is not good enough of a reason to buy it. There are far better Star Wars games and far better FPS games. Wait a few years and all the Star Wars games will look and sound this good. Even if you are a huge Star Wars fan I would recommend that you save your money.

    I am a huge fan of Star Wars. I was excited to see DICE take on this game like many others, but what we got what a good game with little content. No campaign, few heroes and maps. The game was not a $60 game. It still was a hell of a lot of fun though. Just wish there was more there.

Then to my chagrin, their is little single player experience. Also, forget the single player, there isn't much there except a tutorial to the MP.

    DICE and a lot of other companies NEED to see the writing on the wall. YOUR COMMUNITIES ARE NOT BUYING THE DLC!!! Simply look at the map browser, tell me how many games are being played on a DLC map. Yeah. (Sorry about the rant)

    Considering you can get this relatively cheap now, you won't feel as cheated as I was.

    For 20 bucks, ITS WORTH IT! But be ready to shell out cash for the DLC if you see a lacking product.    … Expand

    And the online is boring too, this fanbase is annoying and since the gameplay sucks, the online isn't enjoyable to me..

    It's sad that there isn't much to talk about because there isn't a lot to this game, the little amont of content is laughable, the gameplay is like call of duty so if you enjoy call of duty, maybe you will enjoy this. For me, this game looks incredible and sounds just like star wars but the game itself isn't good.    … Expand

    The graphics and visuals on this game are perfect. Literally one of the best looking games I have played. Terribly disapointed and wish I would have got a physical copy on pre-ordering instead. I would have gave the original games 2/10, because the gameplay is literally nothing like the original star wars battlefronts. Dice / EA left out the biggest mode from the originals Conquest.     Lazy and incomplete. Typical EA cash grab. It looks gorgeous and sounds amazing, but at the end of the day, they knew that with all that fanservice a butt load of Star Wars fans (myself included) would jump right on board. Don't. It's a typical EA "pay $100+ for a season pass and game" to even get something that resembles a solid amount of content.

Bottom line this is a fun casual shooter with good variety. A Star Wars fan's heaven. It is not a technical strategic shooter like Killzone especially with the lack of non party communication and call outs would be difficult at best on these maps. It is more strategic than any COD game though. You can't just run around stabbing people and killing everyone with one or 2 shots. My biggest complaint would probably be the lack of mic communication with the whole team. I do like the partner system like the fireteams in Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Also people saying this is Battlefield with a Star Wars skin are out to lunch as well. It may get boring if you play it relentlessly hours a day for 6 months but what game wouldn't. I am still playing Killzone 2 years later and it had 17 maps in the end. This will end up with 25 if you get all the season pass stuff. Not happy about the $80 price for that in Canada but I will probably shell out for it because I think the fun to be had will justify that. Watch some streams and ask people you know who have actually played it but do not listen to MORONS rating this a zero. It would be like giving Wolfenstein: The New Order a zero because it lacked multiplayer. Solid 8/10… Expand

    Lets start off with the good stuff. It's beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. The character designs, sound effects, and level design all scream Star Wars. It will be an absolute delight for fans of the franchise to jump into and feel like they're part of the Galactic Civil War. Being able to play as a hero is even better, as you can turn the tide of the battle with the overwhelming power of fan favorites like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader - though personally, I find Boba Fett and Princess Leia to be even more overpowered.

    But that's as high as the game floats above water. The abundant lack of features, no single-player, and ESPECIALLY the additional content hidden behind DLC paywalls are holes that flood this otherwise elaborate looking ship. The positives of the game are barely keeping it afloat, and playthroughs tend to be short and get boring fast.

    It's not crap, but it's certainly far from great. For Star Wars fans, this is a relatively easy buy. For gamers, it's easily just as dismissible. Such a shame so much hype and graphical production got put into such a mediocre game.    … Expand

    Pros: - Absolutely stunning to look at. These worlds were brought to life with care and focus, feeling as though they were pulled straight from the films - Sound design is exceptional. Whether its the buzzing slash of a lightsaber or the high pitched squeal of a laser blaster, the    Star Wars Battlefront is a disappointingly shallow multiplayer FPS that made all the wrong decisions.

    Pros:
    - Absolutely stunning to look at. These worlds were brought to life with care and focus, feeling as though they were pulled straight from the films
    - Sound design is exceptional. Whether its the buzzing slash of a lightsaber or the high pitched squeal of a laser blaster, the sounds are accurate and perfectly placed. Battles sound just how you'd expect
    - Great music; tracks both new and old place the game directly in the Star Wars universe
    - Playing as the heroes and villains of the Star Wars universe never gets old

    Cons:
    - Incredibly long loading times; whether entering a map or simply waiting to go back to the title screen, you are looking at a minute or more of idling. It gets frustrating fast.
    - No single player
    - Poor progression favors veterans far too heavily. Too many helpful abilities and weapons are locked completely inaccessible to beginners. Newcomers are already at a disadvantage in terms of skill and familiarity, also giving them the worst of the weapons and no star cards makes this title incredibly difficult to get into
    - The most interesting game modes are locked behind DLC. Multi-tiered objective based modes are locked, with only basic game modes available to all.
    - Too much is locked behind DLC. I had most of my fun on DLC maps and game modes. The base game is painfully shallow
    - Team balancing is horrendous. I have entered matches to find myself alone on my team against 5 players on the opposite side. Even when numbers are even, skill levels are seemingly not considered. Far too often games feel completely one sided. Competitive matches are few and far between.
    - Shallow space combat

    Mixed:
    - Loose, spread heavy gunplay. Some people may like this, but I like my guns to be precise.
    - Game modes are a mixed bag; again this will have a lot to do with personal preference

    Star Wars Battlefront looks and feels like a Star Wars game should, but unfortunately while putting so much effort into the presentation, it seems the designers forgot to back it up with content. While there is fun to be had, the loose gunplay, unfair progression system, long loading times and terrible team balancing will turn most away before they can ever find it.    … Expand

But disliked that it was an online only for great quality gameplay,offline just has tutorials,survival and now skirmish (walker assault/fighter squadron). In honesty,If you want to play this online I would recommend playing with a party to enjoy the action. Miss the 2005 Lucasarts SWB II gameplay.     With the new film of the space opera saga finally on the big screen and the release of Battlefront's new sequel, both after a decade overdue, it is definitely the best time to be a Star Wars fan. The game itself is a dream-come-true for fans, and the Star Wars spectacle is strong in this one. However, if it is depth and longevity you seek... this is not the game you are looking for.
