    this game is incredible, and connecting my generation to my sons and daughters. My kids have played it non-stop over thanksgiving break (my 2 adult and 7 and 8 year old kids all love it), the offline custom arcade is perfect and no one is locked in that mode. My son and I played through story together and it was great. I cannot comprehend why this game is being so badly attacked,this game is incredible, and connecting my generation to my sons and daughters.     I played Star Wars Battlefront on Origin Pc for 300 hours. I have been waiting for a year for this game and pre-ordered the Ps4 Battlefront 2 bundle. I watched all the negative press and even participated in the downvote of lootboxes on reddit. Now I am playing BF2 on Ps4 and I have to say this game is absolutely AMAZING!!! people should start playing now because you are missing out on anI played Star Wars Battlefront on Origin Pc for 300 hours.     game is pretty fun. While I understand the hate for loot boxes, I think there are games out there that are much more deserving of this hate. It just so happened that the sheep jumped on this bandwagon instead of another.

    A stunning visual achievement. Kudos to the artists who put their heart into it. A shame that most reviewers see fit to attack it for decisions made by management, not the creatives. Reminds me of a "0" score given for a good product that was shipped late or arrived damaged.

    The Game is excellent, if you love Star wars you will enjoy it, Ignore all the little kids and unemployed worried about the optional purchases (sorry kids but if you can't afford it don't buy it).

    Since every user review is only based on the loot boxes not the game here I go with my two cents. Microtransactions for loot boxes instead of having the previous iterations $50 season pass seems like a decent trade to me. I don't understand the number of people that disagree with me on that.     Ignore all these reviews giving the game a straight 0,this is honestly a good game that is affected by corporate greed,are the loot boxes a problem? Sure. Is the game pay to win? No. The Campaign is honestly fairly enjoyable but does leave a bit to be desired. However it is some good solid fun for a couple hours. The multiplayer in this game is absolutely spectacular.     I unlocked several of the heroes within the first few hours, the people complaining it takes 40 hours are straight lying.
    This is why user score should not be trusted, this is one of the best games of the year with corporate greed holding it back.    … Expand

    I preordered this game and dont regret a thing. Unlocking characters is easy and FREE!!!! If u dont want to pay money you dont have to. Honestly this game is so fun and it's great to shoot and kill hundreds of people as that is what i like to do in games. If u think you are too smart for this game why dont u play some awful indie or puzzle game, losers

    Really enjoying this game so far. Its a masterpiece from Dice to Star Wars fans. About the lootbox that ppl are Complaining, this is a good system and i'm loving it, Because EA give us the opportunity to play more and become better before playing with the best characters.

    Heavily pushed micro-transactions in a pay to win loot based system reminiscent of Free to play mobile games that no one enjoys. This is where gaming is headed. We need to show developers that we WILL NOT stand for this. It's disgusting that a full price, AAA game is pay to win with such a heavy emphasis on loot. DO NOT PURCHASE/ SUPPORT THIS GREEDY BEHAVIOR.

    Multiplayer is Great, Heroes vs Villains is amazing, and the rest is just as good, progression so far is easy and quick (in a few hours i got Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker), nothing i felt was OP so i dont get how paying for Lootboxes would have been an advantage over F2P players.

    Arcade is great for offline with Scenarios like the firsts missions in the original 2015 Battlefront but based on more of the eras. custom games are great fun though with only 2 modes, but with loads of options that is basically all you need for offline bots. each are still fun, (needs starfighter assault mode though)

    Graphics wise is some of the best i have seen with the character models that arent human look almost like the real thing from the movies, (maz looks Brilliant and yoda is cute... wait did i just say that) minus some distance objects popping in and out. Audio is the best in any star wars game and listening to Kylo rens lightsaber is just the best thing in the world. each world is masterfully recreated here and nothing can deny that. the ships are well made and modeled as well. the amount of small details in these worlds is great as well from the wild life running/flying around to the floor and sky details. finally making a return from The Forced Unleashed 2, lightsabers are able to cut the floors and walls when you slice them or just move around them.

    i might be a little bias being a star wars fan and even loved the Prequels because i watched them first as a kid (episode 3 my first ever star wars film in the cinemas back in 2005 was a brilliant experience), but that doesnt change the fact this is the best start wars game in A LONG TIME, though i did like The Forced Unleashed II which was great    … Expand

    The game feels, plays, looks and sounds very good, the maps are impressive, the classes are fun, and we got a wide roster of heroes and villains, also the side characters can change the flow of the match (wookie FTW!) I have to try the campaign and the aircombar yet, but I can imagine judged by the videos seen earlier it is at least as much fun.     Now to the lootboxes. I have grinded at least 6 trooper chests on a sunday afteroon, while havin fun in the galactic assault, and did not feel Iv been outplayed only because of the ability cards. (specialist stealth card OP, you can craft for 50 or something like that, for example, comon everyone can get 50 parts from the first daily box they open up). By the way I know, and understand your point people, we dont need p2w systems, we dont need subscription based games and systems, we dont need paid dlc and season pass content. We want buy-and-done games round 40-50 bucks. Hell we want games for free. But thats not, how the game industry works. Deal with it, have fun, and the star cards will follow soon.

    At the moment I would give the game an 8 out of 10 (7 if I wouldnt love the universe), but this time I ll rate it to 10 just to counter all the hate and stupidity that rages on.

    Well done devs and publisher, SW:BF 2 is a GREAT game, thats worth your time and money.

    Game has great graphic, great gameplay and great Star Wars feeling and that's a fact.

    Problem is microtransactions which shouldn't be there, I agree. But it's no P2W game. PPl who say that don't even know how system works in this game and aparently don't know what p2w means.

Lootboxes have been removed for a long time, our fan favorite heroes such as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Dooku were added into the game, requested reinforcements likeI wouldn't pay attention to the Metacritic score. Lootboxes have been removed for a long time, our fan favorite heroes such as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Dooku were added into the game, requested reinforcements like the ARC Trooper, Clone Commando, Commando Droid etc. were added, and even Capital Supremacy, a call back to the original Battlefront 2's famous game-mode of control points and interior ship battles, was added into the game. It's a shame EA cancelled the game when they did, because if they let it go on a little longer it likely would have become the best Star Wars game out there with heroes like Ahsoka, Ventress, Padme, and Cad Bane that were in development.     Everything seems so much better now with the loot crates disabled, a daily crate is a nice little bonus and even playing online I have noticed that I don't get maimed the second you respawn by guys with maxed out uber star cards like the first few days when the crates were available for purchase. Things seem to be balancing out and online play is finally more enjoyable than frustrating.     I really wish you could have a guest online though like most CoD games, with 2 players the arcade is really boring and gets old fast...we often end up playing online and swapping out every 3 deaths or so because it is just more fun than those boring time based modes for split screen.

    I really don't like that the best characters start out locked. Maybe if they could unlock as you progress in levels like other games things wouldn't seem like so much of a grind. It took a while to save up for Vader, too bad I can't get Luke for a while or even Palpatine.

    Even with the issues this game made for itself, its still a solid game. If the loot crates come back with pay to win in mind, I could see myself playing a lot less as I don't really have the spare money right now to sink into a game that I already spent $80 on for the ability to play a few days early.    … Expand

    So schlecht ist das Spiel auch nicht. Es macht eigentlich viel richtig und gehört somit zu den besten der Star Wars Spiele. Man kann dieses Lootbox-System kritisieren, es ist aber immerhin besser als ein Season-Pass. Außerdem wird man sämtliche DLCs geschenkt bekommen...

The progression is great and I can unlock all heros in a coulple of hours so it is not that long to unlock them all. And i am playing on ps4 and you know, even with fact that i play vs guys with epics on ps4... k/d is 20 to 8 or more kills. I KNOW that epic cards give you a Little chance to get more kills. Сыграл 10 часов и почти всегда входил в топ 3 игроков на сервере, имея лишь прямые руки и стандартное оружие, не юзая карточек.У меня всё.Как все заявляют,что в игре система p2w они не правы. Донат только ускоряет процесс получения карточек. В игре нет контента который нельзя получить кроме как донат. Сыграл 10 часов и почти всегда входил в топ 3 игроков на сервере, имея лишь прямые руки и стандартное оружие, не юзая карточек.У меня всё.

    The game is beautiful, Dice listened and lowered the price of the heroes. The game itself is atmospheric, beautiful, fascinating. But microtransactions spoil the game. I'm so sorry for Dice, Criterion Games and Motive studios! they put love and power into the game. But EA ... I do not know what curses this studio deserves.     The game is awesome, it contains a Lot of game modes and all the game mods are very fun, for me is the best Shooter game of the year and I think that so much people hate because they only trust in the haters opinion and don't trust in the real situation.

    Игра очень хорошая, начиная от графики заканчиваю кампанией. Сюжет интересен. Мультиплеер как всегда на высоте. И всем тем кто говорит что донат решает значит вы просто не умеете играть. Я очень рад то что DLC будут бесплатными. Игра мне напомнила тот классический Battlefront 2005 года. 10 из 10. С радостью буду играть в нее годамиИгра очень хорошая, начиная от графики заканчиваю кампанией. Сюжет интересен. Мультиплеер как всегда на высоте. Данную игру я ждал, так как являюсь фанатом вселенной Звездных Войн и в первую часть на плойке отыграл много часов поэтому пройти мимо просто не мог. Знакомство с второй частью у меня началось на PS4 во время беты, игра понравилась новыми режимами, приятной картинкой и отсутствиемИтак не выдержав того, как хейтеры засрали данную игру решил написать нормальный отзыв о данном проекте. Данную игру я ждал, так как являюсь фанатом вселенной Звездных Войн и в первую часть на плойке отыграл много часов поэтому пройти мимо просто не мог. Знакомство с второй частью у меня началось на PS4 во время беты, игра понравилась новыми режимами, приятной картинкой и отсутствием фризов-это же PS4, тут их и не должно быть. Однажды прихожу я домой и вижу на Ютубе ролик, мол какой-то человек гамает в пробную версию на Пк, так началось мое знакомство с этой игрой на ПК, до этого слышал много информации про лутбоксы, но не обратил внимания на них, потому что есть везде и во все что я играл они мне не мешали. После дня игры на пк решил все-таки предзаказать на PS4, ибо на пк постоянно куча читеров, небольшой онлайн и в дневное время игроков не найти. Когда 13.11 я запустил игру, то увидел первую часть только с увеличенным в двое количеством контента и не пожалел ниразу, в итоге мне удалось поиграть в релизную версию и я увидел, что все те кто ныли по поводу того, что герои стоят дорого все-таки своего добились и теперь Вейдер вместо 60к стоит 15, считаю это полным идиотизмом, так резко менять цену, считал эту цену нормальной, так как была бы мотивация на игру в будущем да и от того ,что я смог накопить 60к я бы ощущал себя уберменшем. После этого я открыл все лутбоксы, что давались мне за предзаказ и пошел мочить джедайскую погань в мультиплеер результатом стало поражение, но по kda 20 килов, что для меня краба с клешнями довольно-таки неплохо. Далее поиграл в сюжет и могу сказать он неплох, прошел неполностью ,но миссия со Люком зашла на все 146%. Хочу резюмировать все выше мной сказанное,игра отличная, лутбоксы никак не мешают нормально играть,сюжет завлекает, донатить в данный проект никакого желания нет да и не будет, так как все можно сделать своими силами, а это чувство может появится только у морально слабых людей, которые пишут нулевые отзывы, идут за стадом и не имеют своего мнения. Поэтому ставлю 10, фанатам Звездных Войн играть обязательно остальным проходить мимо и не засирать данный проект.… Expand

    The game is gorgeus, is a love letter to star wars fans. I actually recommend it a lot.

    The truth is, in a multiplayer mode, you WON'T' get matched with people who have better gears or skills than you. it is taken care of by the match making system. You will only get matched with people with similar gears and levels with you.

    The 59 price gets you a good single player mode and a good multiplayer mode. EA as a business would need to have some kind of strategy to make money to keep develop content, those people who developed the games don't do it for free.

    why are people making this amazing game seem like its trash, this is an amazing sequel to the garbage Star Wars Battlefront 2015. We have barely even touched the game yet and people are judging the loot boxes. Yeah, the loot boxes were bad during the EA access version, but the loot boxes are going to be fixed and we just need to wait for the full release tomorrow and on Friday.

However 3 hours ingame will get you the credits needed for unlocking them due to the ingame reward system for completing challanges. Yes- putting money into the game will allow you to access some items faster, but it doesn't unlock things the way people make it sound. And you cant unlock new primary weapons with cash either.

    All in all i think its a great game, and the idea of free DLC is awesome. Having the community split up with paywalls was a big mistake in battlefront and battlefield 1...!    … Expand

It looks great on PS4 Pro, has lots of different game modes in multiplayer and is finally the product we've been hardly tried to see in battlefront 1.     Thankfully most heroes don't cost 60k credits anymore. So far, I'm a bit impressed what EA did, after people **** a reddit thread and voted down an explanation about 'why people should be proud to earn in a game, they already paid 60$ for'. But that's no reason to give a bad score to a great product. The upcoming DLC is completely free and somehow EA still tries to make money by giving an opportunity to earn heroes faster.     Battlefront 2 is a fantastic multiplayer game with a obviously unpopular progression system. That said if you intend to not spend any money on loot crates then you don't have to, I've spent $0 extra in game and it hasn't stopped from regularly topping the leader boards. The campaign is half assed but if keeping the loot crates gives EA money to keep making more content then keep it.

While it does feel a little like it's trying to force nostalgia, the chapters where you play as the various heroes add to the overall experience of the campaign.This game is getting unreal amounts of hate.     Personally I love the game play and the quick, yet fun campaign. Don't listen to all the hate over the micro transactions because they're being replaced with a cosmetic system and I'm tired of people **** even after they got what they wanted. If u weren't planning on playing the game there's no reason for you to be involved in the hate.

    Beautiful game, with great campaign! Multiplayer is awesome and I was able to unlock every hero in just a few hours. Cost nothing extra just score points to upgrade! Great game

    This is truly the beautiful and great game. Unfortunately EA made some errors (that have been addressed) but this game should not be punished for their mistakes. I will be playing this game for months and enjoying every star wars second

    But back to the game, swbf2 is a major AAA title and one of the best gemes this year and perhaps one of the best shooters of all time, i spent 4 days in the game so far and already have all heros just by playing the game and earning credits trough multiplayer matcher, missions and the storymode, so no, you dont need to pay real money for your locked heros, just play the **** game like you would play any other gamey so 30% of the critics here are just stupid because they rely soley on the fact that you have to buy the locked heroes, this is just not true so the reviews on this are all useless!

    The maps are amazing, big but well designed, quite detailed and the sound is just astonishing!
    Overall the content is top notch and best of all, everything after that is free so no playerbase split due to a season pass or premium pass, thats how it should be

    Even the damn starcards aint a problem, i didnt spent a cent of real money on the lootboxes and already got a decent amount of good starcards, the amount of starcards and the variation is also really good!
    And a have a lot left so even after many hours of playing i can still earn cards and get rewarded for playing the game!

    I didnt care about the story but after finishing the well told story of iden versio and her fight for the good i was quite impressed and hope they will continue this story in swbf3
    I found all secrets and enjoyed the impressive levels, all in all it took me a bit over 6 hours to complete the story fully and this is mainly a online shooter, the story though is longer and better than in some other "only singleplayer story games"

    Just want to get this out of the way, the loot system is bad.

    Now, the game it self i find is more enjoyable than the 2015 release. The game looks out of this world, the gunplay is what i'm looking for in a sci-fi 1th/3rd shooter and the audio is amazing. Star Cards do NOT make gun fights a win or loss based on who has the best cards. I can easily turn off all my star cards and be in the top 3 of the scoreboard. 99% of the people writing negative reviews are people from reddit who haven't even given the game a chance.     Great Gameplay, and the lootboxes are needed for free dlc, and no season pass. This is a drastically improved game compared to the last, and all the haters need to go back to their moms basement and play some more FIFA.

    This games visuals and art style are beautiful, and the story provides some insightful welcome additional details to the newly approved star wars canon. Including showing us a little bit more of Kylo before TFA and letting us know some of what Luke was up to as well.
    Starfighters are fantastic, especially in space, and there's nothing more satisfying than hearing the Slave 1's sonic grenade quieten the whole battlefield.
    Please buy this game. Don't let your hatred or prejudice for certain developers and game companies affect your decisions to have fun. Especially if you love Star wars.

    This is the same type of thing happening with the last jedi at the moment.

    Muy buen juego, llevo dos semanas con él y me está encantando, lo recomiendo a cualquiera que sea fan de Star Wars. Además saber que los DLC serán gratuitos lo hace aún mejor.
    Y tranquilos ya no hay microtransacciones.

    Having this game on my EA subscription I really enjoyed playing the 2 single player stories. If you don’t do the multiplayer stuff this game is a nice recipe to fill your boring days.

Можливо на релізі і були якісь проблеми але їх давно вже вирішили і крім цього dice підтримує гру більше двох років випускаючи кожний місяць абсолютно БЕЗКОШТОВНІ dlc.     Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
