    Unlike the other spam of negative reviews, I will be reviewing the actual game itself, rather than just attacking a loot box system that has been in other games previously that have ALSO had season passes, yet this one gets attacked. They have actively resolved the majority of loot box issues which is nice. Anyways, here are my first impressions.

    -CAMPAIGN- The first three missions    Unlike the other spam of negative reviews, I will be reviewing the actual game itself, rather than just attacking a loot box system that has been in other games previously that have ALSO had season passes, yet this one gets attacked. They have actively resolved the majority of loot box issues which is nice. Anyways, here are my first impressions.

    -CAMPAIGN-
    The first three missions available in the EA access trial (which is what I have currently until the game releases) are fantastic. The AI is great, the characters are believable and for once the game makes you truly dispise the rebellion. This is a new take on the theme of Star Wars and I thank Dice so much for giving us this breath of fresh air. I will update when I finish the game entirely when it comes out.
    -MULTIPLAYER-
    Dice have done a fantastic job in creating an authentic Star Wars battle experience, thanks to the refreshing return to class based combat. The vehicles also all handle well and the heroes are much more fleshed out, despite the heavily controversial unlocking process (they have addressed this, so stop complaining). The maps are all fantastic and I can’t wait to see the rest. I have currently played on Naboo, Takodana and Fondor and I can safely say that they are all fair and well detailed, thought out maps. The gunplay is once again fantastic and I thank dice once again for addressing previous issues with gunplay etc.
    -ARCADE-
    This for me feels like where the game is lacking. It needs to have the large scale battles of multiplayer in split screen, similar to the skirmish mode of the previous. It feels so tacked in with only battles against bots, with seemingly no objective. While it is still appreciated it DEFINITELY needs more attention.
    -VERDICT-
    Battlefront 2 is a fantastic reimagining of the battlefront series, and while the loot box system is still total aids, you cannot deny the amount of polish this game has, how well it plays, and how Dice have taken extra steps to resolve virtually any issue that comes up.

    Basically, another game like EA prefer make this. They rather the multiplayer than the history. If the multiplayer is bad due to the amount of microtransactions imagine the history. It's horrible OMG. The unique salvable aspect is the graphics (because the motor is Unreal Engine) and dialogue.

Quitando todas las polémicas con respecto a las micro transacciones que tuvo el juego en su salida y luego se solucionaron, el juego ha sido finalmente abandonado por EA y quedando en el olvido (es verdad que los primeros meses se añadieron personajes, mapas y contenido nuevo). La jugabilidad de este shooter es bastanteUn juego con mucho potencial pero que ha acabado quedándose estancado. Cabe destacar que la historia me gustó mucho y se la recomiendo a todos los fans de Star Wars. El problema radica en que actualmente no hay soporte del juego, por lo que hay hackers en todas las partidas, y en que no hay absolutamente ningún objetivo que te incentive a jugar. Aun así el juego no está nada mal, pero a día de hoy no lo puedo recomendar debido a estos problemas en el multijugador. 7,3/10

    I didn't play at its realese, but the game is defenetly better than his predessesor. All the eras are present as well as their characters. They did add a single player mode but it was pretty bad.
    Solid multiplayer, but that still not it.

    Battlefront pulled a No Man's Sky, The Rise of Battlefront was caused by tremendous updates and work by DICE. It's a shame they stopped there short run of slam dunks. The game is super underrated, it's polished and is very fun. I highly recommend this game, given that it's on sale a lot. If you are fan of star wars, you should give it a shot.

    I came into this game in early 2023 so my experience included no microtransactions, no lootboxes, or really any kind of dirty tricks (at least from what I've experienced). I realize I came into the game experience after EA and DICE had corrected mistakes and made the experience much more enjoyable for the player.

I realize I came into the game experience after EA and DICE had corrected mistakes and made the experience much more enjoyable for the player.

    Since I wasn't jaded by from launch, I came into this game really with a neutral perspective; a star wars fan that loved the original Battlefront II and wanted to experience something like it but technically superior. Fortunately, I got just that: a technically superior Battlefront 2 with more features and things to do.

    That's not to say I don't have a few complaints (which I'll get into in a bit) but from my experience with the game, the good far outweighed the bad and I've loved playing this game in several different modes. It did take some time to adjust to slightly different controls and character-specific abilities but once I did through the main story and battle scenarios, I felt prepared enough to enjoy the general game modes.

    The story/main campaign I felt was pretty solid. I see where some criticisms come from of the story being thinly-written and skeletal in its approach. I think the criticisms of the story being terrible are not fair however. I grew to like all the characters and felt the ending was quite epic in every way. I just think Iden's character arc could've been a bit more fleshed out in the middle for her story to have a better impact. The structure for a great story was absolutely there but it ended up being just good. Better development could've made it truly great.

    My main complaints on the game had to do with a couple of performance issues that I experienced in the main story. On the Luke Skywalker mission I spawned in and fell right through the map. Didn't even do anything just fell right through into oblivion until I restarted the mission. On the royalty mission, when I eliminated the storm troppers they all started just floating around like they were in space and when you're eliminating that many troopers, it just looks hilarious seeing a hundred dead troopers just floating like balloons on Naboo. Fortunately, I never experienced anything like this again and still haven't. I've seen some frame-rate dips here and there but generally the performance is great despite those 2 awful experiences.

    Besides the couple of technical issues and the story not being as fleshed out as I wanted, I've had a lot of fun with the game and it's been exactly what I wanted. If some of these user reviewers were intellectually honest and wanted to review bomb a game to get EA to change, they would acknowledge the course correction and change their review to actually reflect the game's current quality instead of just blindly wage a hate war on EA. The game is great and deserves a lot more love now and props to DICE and EA for fixing the old mistakes and making a better game.    … Expand

    Don't know why people dislike this game for me it was an improvement over the last game in terms of characters added and offline content. The story for me is good enough for me but the real improvement is the multiplayer as with more characters the game is addicting and fun to enjoy. For people on the borderline of which Battlefront game to buy this is the one.

    The online part is great and all, but for some reason it's missing some of main characters from the new movies like for example Poe Dameron (yes I know you get to fly his X-Wing) , Cassian Andor, K-2SO, Chirrut Înwe, Baze Malvus, Qi' ra, Tobias Beckett, L3-37 to name a few so you get my point. Why are those characters are not in the game? Is a good question.     This game is doing the same cliche. You get a character that is on the other side of the band and then during the third act finds that his/her actions are doing more hurting than good.     Despite the other reviews I actually really enjoyed the game. But I am a massive star wars fan. Looks good. The system for getting hero's could do with tweaking because its hard to earn enough credits to buy them for new players. And let's be honest no one wants to spend the whole game as a storm trooper.     I started playing this game in early 2022 and i think it is great. We can all agree that the campaign is bad but the multiplayer is in my opinion very fun and entertaining. And i am glad that EA listened to the players and removed the microtransactions and pay2win mechanics so i did no.

It is so sad that support for the game ended a couple years ago. Especially since Ashoka and Padme were the next heroes to come out. That aside, it is so much fun to play. And is my favorite shooter, IIt may have had its controversy. But now it is one of my favorite games to play. The star card upgrade system is fair, loot boxes were completely removed and the gameplay is rock solid. It is so sad that support for the game ended a couple years ago. Only as another sidenote: Popular characters are also restricted behind these pay walls and even EA had to react to critizism. Also the story campaign while not awful is a disappointment because we thought and it was made to look like we got the Empires perspective for the main character. There was so much potential in this idea but they wasted this really fast. I still like some ideas, characters and twists however not enough to give a higher rating. Must also say that some twists or story parts are foreseeable from far away but this is not a huge negative. The presentation is superb. The graphics were amazing and deserve praise. I think there were hardly any games that could compete. Overall this could be on many most disappointing games list for the year if not of the decade but the last statement is probably too harsh as the competition is sadly really strong. I give a 1/10 to honor the presentation and dedication. Would the rest of the game be equally good this would be a remarkable classic. Another example how EA works.… Expand

    This game has had a massive resurgence in recent years. The multiplayer mode is pretty good with lots of fun game modes and maps. The campaign is very awful with a handful of fun sections. The story is incredibly dumb and not worth playing. Offline modes aside from campaign are also good. With the removal of loot crates, this game is pretty solid.

    For a ps4 game the graphics are breathtaking. The campaign was enjoyable and the multiplayer is fun with lots of modes to choose from. My issue with multiplayer though is that matchmaking is uneven. I consistently match against players around level 400-980 even though I'm under 10 with the characters. Playing people with maxed out character abilities makes it a lot harder to win the fights.

    Enemies just run straight to you to shoot you in the face, try to flank or run in single file to get you.
    Plus physics bugs like enemies bouncing off the floor for no reason. Seriously was trying to like it, since story was cool enough and airship combat was nice. But chose to delete the game after    This game is a joke. This is probably the worst IA and combat design I'd ever played.

    So much fun. I'd recommend fans to try this game out again and it's so much better. All the microtransactions are gone completely and the modes are so much fun. The single player campaign isn't that great though. Iden's turn to the Rebellion was disappointing at best and rushed at worst. Aside from that though, this game is great and so much fun.

    I won't even start about how terrible EA is or what an impudence the loot boxes were. The single player mode was okay. But what really sets me off is the gameplay itself. All my attempts of playing were waiting 10 minutes for my match to start, spawning and instantly dying 30 times and then hoping the connection doesn't crash so after 10 minutes loading the next match I can spawn and dieI won't even start about how terrible EA is or what an impudence the loot boxes were.     Entertaing singleplayer campaign and awesome multiplayer. They did wrong with the microtransactions but they're gone now. Hoping for BF3 but it won't happen as this game got shot down in flames at lunch.

Since then, the P2W mechanics were all removed and the game was monetized via cosmetics, the glitches were patched, and they added a ton of new features like Geonosis (which is the best map of the game). I have no idea if anyone else had that problem. The multiplayer is so unbalanced I'm over here a lvl nine and when I died the player that killed me lvl 500.     Had one of the worst launches in history, plagued with loot boxes and not nearly enough content, but then Dice managed to redeem it by remaking the whole progression system, getting rid of loot boxes, and adding a ton of free content. The graphics were always really nice and the maps look amazing but the campaign isn't really good. If you're a Star Wars fan I would recommend it.

    Das ist ein gutes Spiel. Die Lootboxen sind quasi am Launch weggefallen, es gibt viele verschiedene Modie ,eine gutinzienierte Kampangnie ( die leider sehr anspruchslochs ist ) hat gutes Singleplayer content, spassiges Gunplay und sehr Durch den Koopmodus Einsteigerfreundlich.

    I'm not going to address loot boxes cause that's been talked about enough, but I'm gonna talk about other bad experiences I had. Way more clunky and hard to navigate UI. The multiplayer/arcade wasn't as fun as the 2015 game and the missions SUCK! I can't stress how boring this game is even without loot boxes.

    I love this game and keep on coming back for more. I've never bought a lootbox, nor do I really care what they do. The depth of modes are amazing, i love the grunts, heroes, and space battles.

Iden versio is one of the least likable main characters in a videogame in a video game because she no traits or layers to her personality. She is a one dimensional and was written as a " string female character." I lost interest in her storyline because I don't really know her as person. I don't how she grew upz what did he value, who does she hold dear? These are all extremely basic details in fleshing out a character and they didn't do that. The combat is embarassingly boring and stale. It's a third person with de-emphasized aiming. The game on the hardest difficulty is extremely easy but if you die you respawn at this obnoxious checkpoint. In the final arial battle of the game, I kept on dying 3 seconds after I respawned because the guy kept shooting one hit kill missiles at me. The multiplayer is by far the worst I have yet to see in a Video game. They hamfisted the loot pack system into a Star Wars game except it's not for cosmetics only. You can buy upgrades that make you better at the game. This leads to matches with 2 different players. The players who have the upgrades and kick everyone's ass, and the players who don't have the upgrades and can't do anything to win. The performance are not quite there yet and the maps are linear as hell. Battlefront ii sets the bar for visual design, but there is no substance. This is a terrible game because it twists an old beloved series into a cashgrab and spits in the face of players who fell victim to this game. Don't buy this game even if you are payed to play it. Taking the battlefield classes into every generation of star wars with the fixed star cardIt took a lackluster game and a 3 year redemption arc for dice to finally deliver a star wars game worthy of their studio. The campaign however is average with a pretty standard star wars story that combines normal gameplay, ships and heroes in a decently fun way. The multiplayer is real fun. Taking the battlefield classes into every generation of star wars with the fixed star card system rewarding investing time in each class as you unlock more cards as you level up, which carries over to heros and ships aswell. The tokens from the first game are gone and now heroes and specialists are usable through your performance through battle points, which rewards good play and not luck which is a massive improvement over its predecessor.The game captures the look and sound of stars wars perfectly like the previous game but they brought the gameplay to match. The gunplay is smooth and precise particularly in 3rd person and the star fighting while took a bit of getting used to is an unexpected highlight. Heroes are fun to play with unique abilities obliterating opponents but hero v hero is a bit clunky, however with 22 heros 11 on each side, all available from the start all with their own star cards to unlock adds replayability to a satisfying gameplay loop. In conclusion while it stumbled out the gate dices battlefront 2 is a great time, I'm always down to play a few matches of supremacy and recommend it to all star wars fans… Expand

    I only played this on 2020 and simply LOVED IT!
    I read that the micro transactions was a huge issue in the past (and I agree that it's a no way path to go). But since I just played it without the Pay to Win part and with all heroes available it was great.
    This is a vey enjoyable game that allows Star Wars fans to live the life of galactic wars not only as troopers, but also as heroes.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
