    Unlike the other spam of negative reviews, I will be reviewing the actual game itself, rather than just attacking a loot box system that has been in other games previously that have ALSO had season passes, yet this one gets attacked. They have actively resolved the majority of loot box issues which is nice. Anyways, here are my first impressions.

    -CAMPAIGN- The first three missions    Unlike the other spam of negative reviews, I will be reviewing the actual game itself, rather than just attacking a loot box system that has been in other games previously that have ALSO had season passes, yet this one gets attacked. They have actively resolved the majority of loot box issues which is nice. Anyways, here are my first impressions.

    -CAMPAIGN-
    The first three missions available in the EA access trial (which is what I have currently until the game releases) are fantastic. The AI is great, the characters are believable and for once the game makes you truly dispise the rebellion. This is a new take on the theme of Star Wars and I thank Dice so much for giving us this breath of fresh air. I will update when I finish the game entirely when it comes out.
    -MULTIPLAYER-
    Dice have done a fantastic job in creating an authentic Star Wars battle experience, thanks to the refreshing return to class based combat. The vehicles also all handle well and the heroes are much more fleshed out, despite the heavily controversial unlocking process (they have addressed this, so stop complaining). The maps are all fantastic and I can’t wait to see the rest. I have currently played on Naboo, Takodana and Fondor and I can safely say that they are all fair and well detailed, thought out maps. The gunplay is once again fantastic and I thank dice once again for addressing previous issues with gunplay etc.
    -ARCADE-
    This for me feels like where the game is lacking. It needs to have the large scale battles of multiplayer in split screen, similar to the skirmish mode of the previous. It feels so tacked in with only battles against bots, with seemingly no objective. While it is still appreciated it DEFINITELY needs more attention.
    -VERDICT-
    Battlefront 2 is a fantastic reimagining of the battlefront series, and while the loot box system is still total aids, you cannot deny the amount of polish this game has, how well it plays, and how Dice have taken extra steps to resolve virtually any issue that comes up.

    Battlefront pulled a No Man's Sky, The Rise of Battlefront was caused by tremendous updates and work by DICE. It's a shame they stopped there short run of slam dunks. The game is super underrated, it's polished and is very fun. I highly recommend this game, given that it's on sale a lot. If you are fan of star wars, you should give it a shot.

    I came into this game in early 2023 so my experience included no microtransactions, no lootboxes, or really any kind of dirty tricks (at least from what I've experienced). I realize I came into the game experience after EA and DICE had corrected mistakes and made the experience much more enjoyable for the player.

I realize I came into the game experience after EA and DICE had corrected mistakes and made the experience much more enjoyable for the player.

    Since I wasn't jaded by from launch, I came into this game really with a neutral perspective; a star wars fan that loved the original Battlefront II and wanted to experience something like it but technically superior. Fortunately, I got just that: a technically superior Battlefront 2 with more features and things to do.

    That's not to say I don't have a few complaints (which I'll get into in a bit) but from my experience with the game, the good far outweighed the bad and I've loved playing this game in several different modes. It did take some time to adjust to slightly different controls and character-specific abilities but once I did through the main story and battle scenarios, I felt prepared enough to enjoy the general game modes.

    The story/main campaign I felt was pretty solid. I see where some criticisms come from of the story being thinly-written and skeletal in its approach. I think the criticisms of the story being terrible are not fair however. I grew to like all the characters and felt the ending was quite epic in every way. I just think Iden's character arc could've been a bit more fleshed out in the middle for her story to have a better impact. The structure for a great story was absolutely there but it ended up being just good. Better development could've made it truly great.

    My main complaints on the game had to do with a couple of performance issues that I experienced in the main story. On the Luke Skywalker mission I spawned in and fell right through the map. Didn't even do anything just fell right through into oblivion until I restarted the mission. On the royalty mission, when I eliminated the storm troppers they all started just floating around like they were in space and when you're eliminating that many troopers, it just looks hilarious seeing a hundred dead troopers just floating like balloons on Naboo. Fortunately, I never experienced anything like this again and still haven't. I've seen some frame-rate dips here and there but generally the performance is great despite those 2 awful experiences.

    Besides the couple of technical issues and the story not being as fleshed out as I wanted, I've had a lot of fun with the game and it's been exactly what I wanted. If some of these user reviewers were intellectually honest and wanted to review bomb a game to get EA to change, they would acknowledge the course correction and change their review to actually reflect the game's current quality instead of just blindly wage a hate war on EA. The game is great and deserves a lot more love now and props to DICE and EA for fixing the old mistakes and making a better game.    … Expand

    Don't know why people dislike this game for me it was an improvement over the last game in terms of characters added and offline content. The story for me is good enough for me but the real improvement is the multiplayer as with more characters the game is addicting and fun to enjoy. For people on the borderline of which Battlefront game to buy this is the one.

    One of the best shooters of all time. Too sad it lost almost its entire playberbase (you can still find some matches though). Recommended!

    I started playing this game in early 2022 and i think it is great. We can all agree that the campaign is bad but the multiplayer is in my opinion very fun and entertaining. And i am glad that EA listened to the players and removed the microtransactions and pay2win mechanics so i did no.

It is so sad that support for the game ended a couple years ago. Especially since Ashoka and Padme were the next heroes to come out. That aside, it is so much fun to play. And is my favorite shooter, IIt may have had its controversy. But now it is one of my favorite games to play.     For a ps4 game the graphics are breathtaking. The campaign was enjoyable and the multiplayer is fun with lots of modes to choose from. My issue with multiplayer though is that matchmaking is uneven. I consistently match against players around level 400-980 even though I'm under 10 with the characters. Playing people with maxed out character abilities makes it a lot harder to win the fights.

    So much fun. I'd recommend fans to try this game out again and it's so much better. All the microtransactions are gone completely and the modes are so much fun. The single player campaign isn't that great though. Iden's turn to the Rebellion was disappointing at best and rushed at worst. Aside from that though, this game is great and so much fun.

    Entertaing singleplayer campaign and awesome multiplayer. They did wrong with the microtransactions but they're gone now. Hoping for BF3 but it won't happen as this game got shot down in flames at lunch.

Since then, the P2W mechanics were all removed and the game was monetized via cosmetics, the glitches were patched, and they added a ton of new features like Geonosis (which is the best map of the game). The HVV gamemode is pretty unbalanced still, since some heroes like Grievous and Kenobi areA lot of the reviews were from the P2W era of this game and when glitches ruled the game.     I would understand why most of the ratings would be low when the game came out, but the game has changed since then. The game is actually good now, and it’s no longer riddled with micro transactions.

    Had one of the worst launches in history, plagued with loot boxes and not nearly enough content, but then Dice managed to redeem it by remaking the whole progression system, getting rid of loot boxes, and adding a ton of free content. The graphics were always really nice and the maps look amazing but the campaign isn't really good. If you're a Star Wars fan I would recommend it.

The graphics are outstanding, the story is great with an added bonus when you finish the main story, and the shear achievement of how great the game play is keeps bringing me back.     Das ist ein gutes Spiel. Die Lootboxen sind quasi am Launch weggefallen, es gibt viele verschiedene Modie ,eine gutinzienierte Kampangnie ( die leider sehr anspruchslochs ist ) hat gutes Singleplayer content, spassiges Gunplay und sehr Durch den Koopmodus Einsteigerfreundlich.

    Währe das Spiel so erschienen, hätte es deutlich bessere bewertungen bekommen

    I don't know what happened when the game was released to have a 1.5, but nowadays is pretty enjoyable, there's no need to do any purchase in game and it's really fun to play. I spend hours playing it daily.

    I only played this on 2020 and simply LOVED IT!
    I read that the micro transactions was a huge issue in the past (and I agree that it's a no way path to go). But since I just played it without the Pay to Win part and with all heroes available it was great.
    This is a vey enjoyable game that allows Star Wars fans to live the life of galactic wars not only as troopers, but also as heroes.

Being a player who's played the game since Day 1, the game wasn't great at launch, yes, but in 2020 it almost isn't recognizable when comparing it to its state at launch. Lootboxes have been removed for a long time, our fan favorite heroes such as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Dooku were added into the game, requested reinforcements likeI wouldn't pay attention to the Metacritic score. Being a player who's played the game since Day 1, the game wasn't great at launch, yes, but in 2020 it almost isn't recognizable when comparing it to its state at launch. Lootboxes have been removed for a long time, our fan favorite heroes such as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Dooku were added into the game, requested reinforcements like the ARC Trooper, Clone Commando, Commando Droid etc. were added, and even Capital Supremacy, a call back to the original Battlefront 2's famous game-mode of control points and interior ship battles, was added into the game. It's a shame EA cancelled the game when they did, because if they let it go on a little longer it likely would have become the best Star Wars game out there with heroes like Ahsoka, Ventress, Padme, and Cad Bane that were in development. Even still, this is one of the best Star Wars experiences you can have, and I could not recommend it more.… Expand

    И закрывает Сожетную дыру.
    Геймплей:Без Комметариев. Только Нужно добавить все онлайн-режимы для одиночной игры с ИИ.
    Звук:Одно Слово-Отличный!
    Карты: Карты Превосходны с своей прокачкой
    Минусы:
    Баланс:Баланс Плохой.Только иногда работает баланс.И то только команда,враги по МАКС.
    Донат:Тут без слов.НЕНАВИЖУ ДОНАТ!!!

    Now in 2020 the game is really great there are no lootboxes anymore (only for cosmetics) and the game is very balanced and you have a lot of fun as a star wars fan. The bonus is the great story

    Ignoring the old microtransation system I think this game is the ultimate Star Wars multiplayer videogame, the experience in every multiplayer battle is epic with awesome special effects and good graphipcs. Sadly the game lost popularity and is almost dead :(

    Игра потрясающая про неё не забыли ее наполнили контентом, множество персонажей карт, очень разнообразно. Сюжет подкачал. Жаль что у игры 1.4 из-за плохого старта, но сейчас это шедевр ( в мультиплеере)

    After 2 years since it's release battlefront 2 had finally became the game it should have been from the start... Free from micro transaction, full of content and constantly updated and supported by DICE, battlefron 2 is one of the best star wars game ever made

    Some missions, the enemies can be overwhelming, but if you explore the environment there are normally different ways to approach various challenges and weapons crates lying around.

    Having this game on my EA subscription I really enjoyed playing the 2 single player stories. If you don’t do the multiplayer stuff this game is a nice recipe to fill your boring days.

    I don't understand why people don't like this game. It has good story, multiplayer gameplay is good. Starfighter game mode gameplay kinda sucks but its fine too.

    La campaña calidad precio esta muy bien, si es por la campaña por la razón que te lo compras adelante, pero si lo único que te interesaría es el Multijugador, yo no lo recomiendo... Some people even said Disney CEO stepped in, because this game controversies at launch wasn't helping Star Wars as a whole, specially since they were dealing with the Ep VIII controversy as well. If it happened or not? Well I think it did, but I'll never know. Anyway, onto the review:

    After the lackluster Battlefront 2015, EA brought us this game which improved in almost every single way. Especially gameplay and content wise. We have all eras represented with a phenomenal audiovisual fidelity. New content was added for free (still weird to say that out loud lol) for more than two years. That included new maps, heroes, reinforcements, skins, game modes and more. Also, communication with the dev team improved considerably and this was crucial for this game's turn around.
    I was a fan of the original BFII and stayed away from this game for as long as I could, but I could not resist checking it out after I saw gameplay and new Clone Wars content coming to this game. They even brought the voice actors from the series to voice the characters. As a result, the game feels like a very authentic Star Wars experience well worth the Star Wars name. Sound design, graphics and presentation all give that Star Wars feeling that we always wanted the new movies to have. Heck, even the sequel trilogy looks good on this game. Playing as the Sith Trooper is awesome!

    Now, this still isn't a perfect game, so let's talk about the flaws:
    This is mainly a multiplayer game, so don't expect too much from single player content. The campaign is very iffy, with a weak and predictable plot. It has its moments, but it never achieves anything great. There's also Arcade and Instant Action, which are nice but some maps that are available on multiplayer matches aren't available offline for some dumb reason.
    Some multiplayer modes are lacking too. As an example, the last update, that included the Original Trilogy maps to Supremacy (think Conquest mode from the old BFII, but with capital ships added), does not include the capital ships and that limits gameplay for this era, making it inferior to Clone Wars and Sequel eras.
    Also, bugs. Oh God, there is a lot of bugs. Matchmaking sometimes go completely goes awry, force abilities can sometimes make your character shake like crazy and some heroes are almost outright broken. During the content seasons the developers constantly introduced new bugs, broke heroes and made unnecessary buffs/nerfs to troopers and reinforcements. Now that the game is not updated anymore, we have Grievous and Darth Vader as killing machines, Anakin with an ability thats basically a suicide button and Chewbacca just... unusable in almost every game mode. Other heroes are fine, tho.

    This game is discounted most of the time, so it won't even be a big of an investment. Oh, by the way, if you like to unlock skins and cosmetics by your own, stick with the regular edition. EA recently launched a Celebration Edition, but the only difference is that it has all the skins unlocked by default.

    So, that is it. Don't let the controversy this game had at launch cloud your judgement. If you are a fan of Star Wars, this is the game you are looking for. The servers are very active and you will find fun matches all the time, even with all the flaws.    … Expand

    This game don't deserve so much hate. There is so much content in this game. The game was fixed and improved, but the rating remained the same, which is very sad. Because of that, the third part will not be released soon, or maybe it won’t be released at all....

    Now with Plus, I was able to play the game without having to pay a high price, and I went without many expectations.

    2.5 years later, this game makes a huge comeback in the gaming industry. It adds new interesting game modes like Extraction and Ewok Hunt, adds new character heroes, adds new trooper factions, adds weapon fixes/balancing, and it even got rid of the controversial loot box system. But the campaign is still manure, which lowers one rating from a 10.

    I know this game came out nearly three years ago, but this game has been approved upon. The graphics are solid, the gameplay makes you grind yes but it's worth it. Has pretty much every Star Wars character you think of, it WAS at least on sale for only 10 dollars on PSN recently and has a decent campaign mode.

    The greatest redemption story in recent video gaming memory. While EA surely does not deserve praise for how they handled micro-transactions at the beginning of this games' lifespan, DICE did a fantastic job supporting this game until EA pulled the plug.

    Sure, there are imbalances and content that could be added in the future, but the game is just wonderful in it's current state.

    Amazing game! The devs worked incredibly hard to improve the game from its terrible start, and now it is now the most complete battlefront experience created! Lots of maps, nearly all important content available offline, lots of characters, heros, gamemodes, an ok campaign. A great game altogether. Wish the bugs were patched though.

    This game is very good. sure in the beginning it was overlooked because of the lootbox controversy. But since then the developers at DICE really worked their skins off too revive the game and even if it's sad they didn't get in everything i wanted like ashoka, coruscant among others It went from a mess at launch to become one of the best shooters out there. If you have a chance go give it a try.

    EA corrected their mistakes, though late. Removed all donat altogether. The game began to live, a lot of content and a lot of updates. The graphics are excellent for 2017, although it is now 2020. Unfortunately, the game is no longer supported. It is sad that Ahsoku Tano was not added to Battlefront 2, although there were hints of this.

    Игра шикарна в плане графики. Но Данат всё портит. Да кейсов больше нет но остались кристаллы. Из за всего этого появился диз баланс.

    Очень хочу чтобы в 3 части Даната не было но это не возможно. Жаль.

    Maybe this game was incomplete in its launch, but now, with all its free DLCs, game modes and of course The Clone Wars and Prequels, its one of the best online shooter games.

    A MULTIPLAYER MASTERPIECE. This game is my #1 favorite game. So much has happened since the launch and it’s a whole new game. I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)! And with the new BB8 as aA MULTIPLAYER MASTERPIECE. This game is my #1 favorite game. So much has happened since the launch and it’s a whole new game. I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)! And with the new BB8 as a hero (and it magically works!?) things are only getting better and better... Now the tropical planet Scariff is coming to Battlefront II. Dice and EA earn a big round of applause for really listening to the fans, working hard to get things right and making a bad game one of the best! A multiplayer masterpiece.… Expand

    O jogo de 2017 mudou muito para 2020, não posso dizer que é o mesmo jogo. A jogabilidade está excelente, mapas que lembram aos filmes e bem divertidos de jogar, a variedade de modos é bem legal e lógico existe os cosméticos, porém são acessíveis ( não precisando gastar com dinheiro de verdade).

    Battelfront 2 has redeemed itself over the past year. They've worked hard to include so much content and variety that makes gameplay interesting and fun. Nothing quiet like this out there. Thanks Dice.....and EA.

Можливо на релізі і були якісь проблеми але їх давно вже вирішили і крім цього dice підтримує гру більше двох років випускаючи кожний місяць абсолютно БЕЗКОШТОВНІ dlc. Більше б таких розробників!!!!!Чудова гра!!!! Граю вже в неї більше року і не розумію звідки такі оцінки.     Ok Yes at the start the game was bad and filled with terrible micro transactions but now the game is really good. you can play as so many characters from the Prequels, the original trilogy and The sequel trilogy. multiplayer is really fun lots of fun new game modes and awesome heroes and villains.     One of the biggest turnarounds in gaming history. No longer pay to win, but play to win. It has recovered tremendously from its AWFUL launch in 2017. Better than the 2004, and 2015 battlefront. Still think the 2005 one is the best as it does: Galactic conquest, hunt and the campaign superiorly to 2017. Has a boring a bland campaign. Some offline content. И вот после выхода крутого сериала по ЗВ Мандалорец и 9 эпизода в кино, я загорелся желанием вернуться в игру. За эти почти полгода что меня небыло в игре переработали механику дуэлей, добавили много контента и это не может не радовать, еслиОбновляю свой отзыв, так как игра преобразилась! Сейчас игру можно купить всего за 900 рублей по скидкам, я считаю это очень хорошим предложением для любителей шутеров, ибо в 2019 году вышел cod mw который в России недоступен, бф 5 2018 года не очень удачная часть серии, может в будущем но не сейчас. Что до батлфронта считаю отличным приобретением онлайн есть контента куча, сотни, если не тысячи часов игра вам обеспечит как обеспечила мне… Expand

    When this was first released, It made Sonic 06 look like a masterpiece, But 2 years later, It has MASSIVELY improved.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
