    Basically, another game like EA prefer make this. They rather the multiplayer than the history. If the multiplayer is bad due to the amount of microtransactions imagine the history. It's horrible OMG. The unique salvable aspect is the graphics (because the motor is Unreal Engine) and dialogue.

    uno de los peores juegos de la saga, no sabian que rumbo darle, y las pantallas están bastante limitadas, que yo creo en mi experiencia que deberían de ser mucho mas entretenido para un jugador y no enfocarse tanto en el multijugador

    This game had an incredibly rocky launch, but was starting to get really good. Then right when the game was finally getting the content it needed and things were looking up, they pulled the plug. It's like the game wasn't finished and you finally got the game into a playable State. Why on earth would you cancel it right at it's peak you clowns? It's a dead game now. Don't bother.     The campaign is stupid, boring, and lazily written. The single player is repetitive and completely half ass. Multi-player is the same half ass game just with more people. This game keeps all the negative parts from the original bf2, and keeps none of the positive parts, while adding in a bunch of dumb bulls**t to give the illusion of    Right to the point.     While they added a story campaign and the presentation is truly superb the main focus of the game is selling microtransactions aka loot boxes. The progression system is tied to loot boxes which is awful. If you do not believe me then consider that this game started the investigations if loot boxes are gambling controversy in many countries. If you still argue against this just look up how much time you need to unlock everything and / or how costly it is to buy everything. It is a poster child for pay to win. Only as another sidenote: Popular characters are also restricted behind these pay walls and even EA had to react to critizism. Also the story campaign while not awful is a disappointment because we thought and it was made to look like we got the Empires perspective for the main character. There was so much potential in this idea but they wasted this really fast. I still like some ideas, characters and twists however not enough to give a higher rating. Must also say that some twists or story parts are foreseeable from far away but this is not a huge negative. The presentation is superb. The graphics were amazing and deserve praise. I think there were hardly any games that could compete. Overall this could be on many most disappointing games list for the year if not of the decade but the last statement is probably too harsh as the competition is sadly really strong. I give a 1/10 to honor the presentation and dedication. Would the rest of the game be equally good this would be a remarkable classic. Another example how EA works.… Expand

    Enemies just run straight to you to shoot you in the face, try to flank or run in single file to get you.

    I won't even start about how terrible EA is or what an impudence the loot boxes were. The single player mode was okay. But what really sets me off is the gameplay itself. All my attempts of playing were waiting 10 minutes for my match to start, spawning and instantly dying 30 times and then hoping the connection doesn't crash so after 10 minutes loading the next match I can spawn and dieI won't even start about how terrible EA is or what an impudence the loot boxes were. The base equipment is so bad every advanced player kills you before you can even blink which causes you to never get any good equipment but whithout that you can never compete with them. This is the EA circle of hell, only way to get out was paying real money for the loot boxes. When they finally removed them they ironically removed the only way to break free from this vicious circle as well. It is time to stop buying EAs games.… Expand

    I'm not going to address loot boxes cause that's been talked about enough, but I'm gonna talk about other bad experiences I had. Way more clunky and hard to navigate UI. The multiplayer/arcade wasn't as fun as the 2015 game and the missions SUCK! I can't stress how boring this game is even without loot boxes.

Iden versio is one of the least likable main characters in a videogame in a video game because she no traits or layers to her personality. She is a one dimensional and was written as a " string female character." I lost interest in her storyline because I don't really know her as person. I don't how she grew upz what did he value, who does she hold dear? These are all extremely basic details in fleshing out a character and they didn't do that. The combat is embarassingly boring and stale. It's a third person with de-emphasized aiming. The game on the hardest difficulty is extremely easy but if you die you respawn at this obnoxious checkpoint. In the final arial battle of the game, I kept on dying 3 seconds after I respawned because the guy kept shooting one hit kill missiles at me. The multiplayer is by far the worst I have yet to see in a Video game. They hamfisted the loot pack system into a Star Wars game except it's not for cosmetics only. You can buy upgrades that make you better at the game. This leads to matches with 2 different players. The players who have the upgrades and kick everyone's ass, and the players who don't have the upgrades and can't do anything to win. The performance are not quite there yet and the maps are linear as hell. Battlefront ii sets the bar for visual design, but there is no substance. This is a terrible game because it twists an old beloved series into a cashgrab and spits in the face of players who fell victim to this game. Don't buy this game even if you are payed to play it. Stay as far away as possible. 2/10, terrible.… Expand

    Ripetitiva ed a certi tratti insensata, con una durata di massimo 4 or, ripeto 4 ore, cioè la campagna di un cod dura di più ed è sempre meglio di sta immondizia ed a differenza di battlefront cod esce ogni anno.
    il multiplayer è semplicemente una cosa indescrivibile, chi si ritiene soddisfatto del lavoro di dice (come Giorgio e Mattia) in questo ambito è una persona che si metta a novanta pagando pure per farselo buttare nel culo. il multiplayer è sbilanciato, armi op, spawn fatti alla cazzo,ed eroi op come la merda. inoltre fa schifo anche il sistema a punti, perchè non da la possibilità a tutti di provare gli eroi.

Gameplay is so arcade-like, that there is absolutely no feel to it and except for graphic you feel like playing a Flash online arcade.The graphics and maybe sound is the only thing this game has going of it. Comparing to older games like Jedi Academy where you could truly feel like a Jedi this is worse then the new trilogy. Luckily i didn't buy the game, got it for free but i still regret the 90GB (like WTF is there for 90GB?) download. The game is an empty pretty shell with SW sticker on it but except for free, aint worth any kind of money, and even for free its a waste of time, bandwidth and disk space.… Expand

Радует хороший импакт от попадания по тушкам и хорошая графика, хотя и с картинкой проблемы - подгружаются текстуры веток и тд прямо на ходу. Сюжетная ветка даже хуже чем в БФ 5...Играл только в сюжетку, слабо...очень слабо. Несвязные задания с разными героями, никакие герои, дурацкие перки. Стрельба не интересная, оружия мало. Когда вид от третьего лица - вообще ужас. Радует хороший импакт от попадания по тушкам и хорошая графика, хотя и с картинкой проблемы - подгружаются текстуры веток и тд прямо на ходу.     I try to play 1 match.. 1 & it takes 10 minutes to find & fill a lobby. I try to get used to the feel of the game, but within 2 minutes I'm already being destroyed repeatedly by a level 500+ player whose already gotten a hero. Literally the worst game that I've ever played in my entire life. This makes Plants vs. Zombies garden warfare look like the best 3rd person shooter ever made in comparison

Worst balancing system when it comes to abilities for certain characters. Yoda’s leap attack being able to go through blocks like what? It’s basically a guaranteed free hit when you just stand there trying to block it FORCING you to have to CONSTANTLY dodge. Which also makes for poorly made mechanics and gameplay just looks like a bugfest when the enemy is constantly dodging and being rubberbanded after you thought you had a hit. So many more things wrong with this **** game. Mind you it was made by a development team that SPECIALIZE in SPORT **** GAMES not any shooters or first person action games. _ L… Expand

    The Game didn't even tried to be like the old version of star wars battlefront 2. I had fun with this game, but it doesn't feel right to me. You can't like feel free in this Game. The Story was **** The vehicles are kinda buggy. At the beginning you needed to play 50 Hours to unlock only one hero! But thank god it got better! I hope Ea will learn from now on.

    This is why people hate on EA so much. They take what could be an awesome concept and monetize it to the point where you feel dirty for having given EA more money. Just skip EA games as much as possible until they stop doing this to their customers. With all the micro transactions at minimum games like this should be free to play, or just let us spend the $60-$70 on the game and drop that crap.

    after 3 god damn years this game is still a mess , the gameplay is just buggy as hell, sometimes when you block the enemies attack , their attack will still get through your block , circumstances like this you really don't know when are you making the right choice or not in the game ,and it really should not be like this

It occurs so many times, you can't miss it. The enemy AI clips through ground and falls off edges. Just awful. And this game is almost 3yo.
    About the multiplayer: you'll have far more fun with Fornite.
    I'm not a SW fan and I got this game thanks to PS+. Reverse these sentences and I'd've given this "game" a 0/10.    … Expand

    A much improved game from what it was in 2017, lootboxes and micro-transactions have been entirely removed, and you can get a great offer on it now, I have hundreds of hours logged. My only complaint is that it is missing certain heroes such as Padme, Jango Fett, Asajj Ventress and Asokha Tano.

    Who would’ve thought I’d be here reviewing this three years later? I said it recently when I talked about “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” but I am a huge outsider to the “Star Wars” franchise. Be that as it may, as an extreme lover of gaming, I’m willing to play a game based on source material I’m not familiar with/fond of if the game interests me. In the case of “Star Wars BattlefrontWho would’ve thought I’d be here reviewing this three years later? I said it recently when I talked about “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” but I am a huge outsider to the “Star Wars” franchise. Be that as it may, as an extreme lover of gaming, I’m willing to play a game based on source material I’m not familiar with/fond of if the game interests me. In the case of “Star Wars Battlefront II,” though, a lot of my interest in this game stemmed from the fact that…well, it’s free on PlayStation Plus this month. Yeah, that’s about it. Though, I must also say that I was intrigued when I heard so many people say that the game has been improved immensely from the horror show that was its launch. Having played through the game, has it? Well…I guess? If you’re a diehard multiplayer gamer, maybe, but otherwise, as someone who is more of a single-player gamer that enjoys campaigns…the game is definitely still a mess.
    In terms of the positives, I can definitely say that “Star Wars Battlefront II” looks great. Visually, it’s excellent all-around, and the sound design is very good, making this a game that certainly looks and sounds the part as a piece of “Star Wars” media. Beyond that, though…I mean, I guess the game is playable? I didn’t find too many bugs to speak of, the controls are solid enough, and occasionally the multiplayer can have its fun moments? Yeah, that’s the best that I can say about the gameplay as a whole in this game: it’s functional. It works for what it’s going for, and I guess on the outside, I can respect that EA and DICE managed to reverse course and actually improve the game for its player base.
    That’s about the most that I can say in terms of positives for the game, though, and no, this isn’t gonna be me lowering the score because of the “microtransactions controversy,” because honestly, a lot of that flew over my head when the game came out in 2017. My fundamental issues with the game lie in other areas, for example, the single-player campaign that I mentioned earlier. I’ll be honest with you, what’s disappointed me more than some of the microtransaction drama and PR stuff that plagued the game early on is how much EA hyped up the campaign for the game, only for it to turn out completely pitiful. Even as a non-fan of the “Star Wars” series, the story is predictable and sloppy, the campaign itself is short, and honestly, while I’m glad so many people like the gameplay as a whole in this game…I’m sorry, but I don’t. This game is UNBELIEVABLY bland, there is not a single thing to the gameplay that I personally found special or gripping whatsoever. It’s just a generic third-person shooter that’s been painted over with a “Star Wars” theme to make it seem more appealing when it’s really not. The shooting honestly feels really unfulfilling to me, the space battles feel like DICE kinda just saying, “here, damn” and not really caring what fans want, the mission structure is completely generic, and honestly, the only time I had fun with the game was when I got to play as Luke Skywalker and wield a lightsaber. And even then, that’s one level out of the 13 in the campaign (counting the prologue), I can assure you that it is not worth playing the campaign solely for that one level. The game will often throw massive waves of enemies at you all at once and try to masquerade it around as “difficulty” when it’s really just awful game design. At its core, while I’m glad so many people have fun with the game, my fundamental issue with it is that, at its core, the game is sleep-inducingly bland. Even for the short length of its campaign, the game often feels like it overstays its welcome, and it’s easily one of the most dull experiences I’ve had with a game.
    Yeah…this was really bad. Has it been improved from its disastrous launch? Sure, I guess, and the fans seem to think so, which is great, but honestly, this game feels like it doesn’t matter. It still just feels bland, generic and shallow, almost like it desecrates the “Star Wars” series by applying its characters in a half-assed way over a formulaic, paint-by-numbers third-person shooter without any of the spirit of charm that’s helped this series endure for so long. I’ve heard a lot of people talk about how Disney destroyed the “Star Wars” franchise, and while I wouldn’t know because I haven’t seen the recent films, I think EA has certainly not done the series any favors, and at this point, they’re lucky that “Jedi: Fallen Order” was such a great game and that Respawn saved the day and gave them a diamond in the rough. Honestly, if you want a great “Star Wars” game, go play that. “Jedi: Fallen Order” is a far better game, and far more worth your time than this shallow bastardization. Skip “Battlefront II” and live in comfort knowing that you’re not missing much.

    It is not even Star Wars, the Stormtroopers are there, Luke and Leia too, but that's it. They are there, nothing else is.

    The grapic is good but that can't be the standard of ea. It's a shame and very disappointing that the predecessor from 2005 is way better in the terms of fun and addiction. I can't even give the a game one point for the graphic because battlefront isn't about graphics, it's about so much more.

There are no levels in this "game"only maps, most of which I did not play because I needed to spend more money in order to do so, I had already paid for the game and didn't understand why I would be asked to pay again. There were two maps that allowed me to play without paying further and at some point i managed to play a different one due to some kind of a so called 'promotion'. I was allowed to play as some dull star wars characters but the option was given to pay money to be allowed to play as popular characters from the movies. I was unwilling to pay for this feature as I had already purchased the game. I feel scammed by this misleading and greedy shell of a game. Do not buy this!… Expand

    The single factor that mars the experience so much in this game is the progression, or lack thereof. It's simply perplexing that DICE, a company that has developed games with near-perfect progression systems (followed by monetized progression systems that STILL felt rewarding) could botch it up this bad. You are not rewarded for your style of play but rather for your time spent playing. As a result you never feel in control of what you can unlock and the timing of rewards feel anticlimactic and boring.

    This is a problem shared by DICE's previous game, Battlefield 1. Which brings us to Battlefront 2's second-biggest flaw: the meaninglessness of classes and team co-operation. Whereas BF1 failed in progression but mostly maintained the fun of choosing a loadout to maximize your potential and in turn your team's chances of winning, BF2 feels empty and pointless. No one seems to want to work with even one person on their team, and who can blame them when there is no incentive to do so? The way points are awarded at the end of the match seemed cruelly geared to discourage any heroics or even effort.

    These two factors combine to rob Battlefront 2 of any merit. In the short term the gameplay is meaningless even if pretty to look at. In the long term everything feels like a grind and rewards seem to come too late or unexpectedly early.

    Oh, and the campaign is really short and really dumb.

    Stay away from this stink pile unless you find it for like $5, it will bore you after 3 hours.    … Expand

    Micro-transactions ruined that game. Pay or grind for 12 hours. The multiplayer is no fun at all. And the campaign was okay, but that's all. Sadly, the campaign was the only thing I enjoyed a little bit. It's so sad what EA made of the Star Wars franchise. Don't buy this game!

    I always start with the positives so here we go,

    DICE NAILED the graphics and sounds. The Music feels like your playing Star Wars, the Blasters feel powerful. The graphics on all textures are amazing. And this is coming from a guy who puts graphics and artwork before anything.

    Some of the modes are actually good. Like Ewok hunt, Blast, and the new Capital Supremacy.

    Now on to the negatives

    While Loot-boxes are still a problem, they have become less forced. Sure you will get killed by a guy who has all maxed out cards, but thats not that common. I haven't purchased any loot-boxes or paid content, and i still have some fun playing.

    The story is terrible mainly because they REALLY try to emphasize that Iden is a strong, female Protagonist. She takes off her helmet about 50 times. You also barley see ANY emotion in the Story.    … Expand

    2. Load times of this magnitude are unforgivable in these scenarios. It’s comparable to open world games that allow you to fast travel. It needs this time to reset and re-render the entire environment. Not when ending a match.
    3 Flying. Like last time they don’t seem to have a clue as to what they are doing. This was a huge WTF moment. True, they added the ability to roll this time, but they have 0 idea how flight controls should work.
    4. EA and Dice convinced Disney that they know what they are doing with the property, again.
    5. Solo game is incredibly short. For a game of this price, there should have been more.
    6. Spawning issues like in the first game, where you pop up where the enemy is standing by to kill you.

    Pros:
    1. Finally giving a story mode.
    2. Multiple solo options for the player that wants to be able to play a game for more than 20 seconds after spawning and not get gunned down as enemies are standing right there.
    3. Look and sound great.

    Conclusion:
    In the end, I was a masochist, thinking they would have done a better job this time. They got my money again, but after this I’ll never buy another EA/Dice game. The companies focus on providing sub standard games at premium prices and screw the customer over.

    If you haven’t bought it, DON’T. I suggest staying away, and warn you friends of the same. I wasted my money, learn from my mistake and don’t waste yours.    … Expand

    Everything that's been said about this game I agree with. In fact, there is nothing new that I Personally can bring to the table. I'm only giving my rating to show my hatred for EA and this game, and to show that I too will not accept this business strategy. It's time to boycott EA fellas.

    Isn’t that enough money? I am playing at a friends house as he purchased it and the game is really good, beautiful graphics and sound but what’s with these damn loot boxes?

    Unless you give EA more money (and lots of it) multiplayer is only going to be good for the rich and NOT for the skilled player.

    Definitely NOT buying it and I feel sorry for my friend as he’s so not impressed with multiplayer that he asked me to write this review.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
