    The famed writer Sebastian P. Husher has gone missing, along with his entire family. Worried, his editor sent an assistant to his house in order to look for him but he never came back... These disappearances spark a set of events that will soon reveal something dreadful: a nameless, dark entity known only as The Presence seems to be responsible and it's still somewhere, out there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for you... You may die, but the horror continues others will pick the investigation up from where you left it until you all find out the origin of The Presence and put an end to this nightmare.
    A PARANORMAL ADVENTURE OF UNPREDICTABLE TERROR
    Song of Horror offers a truly dynamic terror experience: its antagonist, the supernatural entity known only as The Presence, is controlled by an advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) that adapts to your actions and decisions. Experience unbearable fear as this otherworldly being responds to your way of playing and hunts you down in unexpected ways, offering a unique experience to every player and gameplay where tension builds up naturally instead of coming from scripted sequences.

    As a player, you will live this story through the eyes of a varied set of characters related to the story in their own way. Every character is different, and brings their unique point of view to the investigation, allowing them to approach clues and items differently. Their actions and decisions will shape the world: some of them will know more or less of certain aspects of the story; some will be more effective against supernatural manifestations, but all of them can die if the Presence gets to them and death is permanent. If they die, you will have to pick the story up with another one, and continue the investigation so their deaths are not in vain.

    Tapping into old school horror with several modern twists, Song of Horror is a surprise hit for fans of the genre. A few little face values issues do nothing to ruin the very well crafted filling, for fans and newcomers alike.

    There are few indie horror titles as awesome at catching that fixed camera horror game aesthetic as Song of Horror and even less that reach the nail-biting tension on display here. The constant fear of losing a character permanently is a kicker but it really enhances the experience, making each choice drastically more important. The visual design and story should keep players entranced as they confront the horrors of the music box mystery! All horror fans deserve this title in their library.

    Song of Horror tries its best to be a swan song of survival horror and acts as a return to form. However, frustrating puzzles and random deaths cause unexpected hang-ups on the experience. Yes, I remember when saving was limited to Ink Ribbons, but at least there was a choice in that feature. Still, there’s a lot to enjoy about this episodic nightmare.

    If Protocol Games had a little bit more money and experience, we could have had a something truly special with this game. But as it stands Song of Horror is just a solid work, with some minor and neglectable shortcomings.

    Song of Horror does a great job of bringing back that classic survival horror feel. Certain mechanics that made sense when the game was episodic make less sense in this full release but it's still an enjoyable nod to a now less than common genre.

    I dont know what happens with sone reviews, it seems we are not playing the same game...In my oppinion a big applause to protocol games, itsI dont know what happens with sone reviews, it seems we are not playing the same game...In my oppinion a big applause to protocol games, its been some time that a game liked me so much, the only thing i dont like is the graphics in comparison with the pc version, i hope protocol makes a patch for ps5 that improves the textures, depth of field making the game like the pc version. So everyone that likes games like the the ones of old thats your game, and if you like to shoot this is not your game, no weapons juat puzzles, exploring and survival, so dont look at the bad ratings and give the game a chance.… Expand

Por lo demás, me parece un juego excelente y muy recomendable para los que vivimos la era de los Resident Evil o Silent Hill clásicos. A pesar de no existir el combate me pareció muy divertido, con unos puzzles muy complicados que te harán romperte el cerebro y momentos que te haran sudar alguna gora fría de terror.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was so hyped by the trailer of "Song Of Horror" that I decided to pre order the Deluxe Version.

    Unfortunately it did not deliver or at least not for me.

    The story was very lackluster..., but that didn't bother me at first.
    The game has a lot of technical issues though.

    Some smaller stuff, like objects that wouldn't load but also some game breaking bugs that wouldn't let you progress any further.

    I stopped my playthrough at chapter three where I discovered a game breaking bug that basically froze my character.
    After I restarted the chapter I came along a second bug that made it impossible to proceed any further.

    It really saddens me because the athmosphere and level design in the game is really solid.

    But it's just frustrating to play in its current state.    … Expand

So after waiting months, waiting a delay, and spending $40... i am left with a console crashing pile of trash. Avoid. These studios give indy devs a bad name. You should all be ashamed to be charging for this unpolished garbage.… Expand
