    This game has a good story and some great puzzles. It also doesnt work, drops all game saves, and crashed my Ps4 over 10 times. Contacted ps network for refund, they said ' trouble shoot or restart your ps pro in safe mode'. So after waiting months, waiting a delay, and spending $40... i am left with a console crashing pile of trash. Avoid. These studios give indy devs a bad name.     Visuals glitches, blinkings and a big bug with the fuses that don't allow me to continue the game. It displays something like a line of code. That's a shame.

    I dont know what happens with sone reviews, it seems we are not playing the same game...In my oppinion a big applause to protocol games, its been some time that a game liked me so much, the only thing i dont like is the graphics in comparison with the pc version, i hope protocol makes a patch for ps5 that improves the textures, depth of field making the game like the pc version. So everyone that likes games like the the ones of old thats your game, and if you like to shoot this is not your game, no weapons juat puzzles, exploring and survival, so dont look at the bad ratings and give the game a chance.… Expand

    Great game so far. Certainly for fans of the original 4 silent hill games, original resident evil, alone in the dark. Game includes a lot of puzzle solving and item finding. Slower paced so be warned if you prefer fast paced action. For me, its a love letter to late 90s playstation horror games.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was so hyped by the trailer of "Song Of Horror" that I decided to pre order the Deluxe Version.

    Unfortunately it did not deliver or at least not for me.

    The story was very lackluster..., but that didn't bother me at first.
    The game has a lot of technical issues though.

    Some smaller stuff, like objects that wouldn't load but also some game breaking bugs that wouldn't let you progress any further.

    I stopped my playthrough at chapter three where I discovered a game breaking bug that basically froze my character.
    After I restarted the chapter I came along a second bug that made it impossible to proceed any further.

    It really saddens me because the athmosphere and level design in the game is really solid.

    But it's just frustrating to play in its current state.    … Expand

    An old and nice old horror school game from Spain, really beautiful like alone in the dark/Silent hill but without battle action, just explore, puzzle and narrative. Have some bugs, textures issues... But looks really great and i only have 1 crash in ps4 normal and a big bug in the library. Don't let the game started in the library because you can block the character.

    Si no le doy más nota a este título es simple y llanamente por un apartado técnico que nos deja algunos bugs que pueden entorpecer la experiencia. Por lo demás, me parece un juego excelente y muy recomendable para los que vivimos la era de los Resident Evil o Silent Hill clásicos. A pesar de no existir el combate me pareció muy divertido, con unos puzzles muy complicados que te haránSi no le doy más nota a este título es simple y llanamente por un apartado técnico que nos deja algunos bugs que pueden entorpecer la experiencia. Por lo demás, me parece un juego excelente y muy recomendable para los que vivimos la era de los Resident Evil o Silent Hill clásicos.     There are few indie horror titles as awesome at catching that fixed camera horror game aesthetic as Song of Horror and even less that reach the nail-biting tension on display here. The constant fear of losing a character permanently is a kicker but it really enhances the experience, making each choice drastically more important. The visual design and story should keep players entranced as they confront the horrors of the music box mystery! All horror fans deserve this title in their library.

    Song of Horror offers a horror experience that will satisfy fans of the genre, as it offers an entertaining story and brings up some brilliant ideas, although it does not execute them as efficiently as possible, with a less than average graphic section that weighs down the end result of the work.

    Harken back to the late 1990's and early 2000's and the survival horror genre was enjoying a golden age in video games. Song of Horror emulates the greats of that time but, unlike those franchises which have since evolved with modern game development, Song of Horror seems stuck in the past. For nostalgia's sake, it's worth checking out for fans of that era, but otherwise it's a hit-or-miss experience that falls well short of contemporary horror games.
