There are open-world areas where you can play with other people without the need to be in a party, but those only make up about 30% of the game's content. The combat is incredible, better than anything I've seen in the other MMOs on PSN. The game is really grindy though, and you will find yourself doing the same things over and over in similar maps. So if the combat doesn't appeal to you, it would make the game difficult to recommend. Full Review »

It's got an addictive quality, where you want to keep going and do 'one more quest'. First this game is a visual masterpiece, I find myself frequently just walking around and admiring the environment! The music and sound is also great. I also don't find this game as grindy as other mmorpg, I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe it's because it's not difficult to get gear, or that same stats are used for every class, where if you level one, you level them all. Or maybe it's because gear is not everything to get ahead here, as you build up your stats from knowledge accumulated, number of followers and prestige.

The combat is great and face-paced with a lot of variety between the different classes available. There are lots of instances available that can be played solo, in groups of 3, in a holy trinity of 5, or in group of 10. The PVP is very enjoyable, even though it's not my thing. All up to the player to choose his preferred play-style; this game has something for everyone.

When you become a Junior God in the game, you have a huge choice of things to do that it can be a bit overwhelming. You get invasions, directives, equipment quests, operations and this is in addition to the campaign missions and adventures. Personally I love the choice. I just wish it was a little clearer on the best path to build up your character, but then again, maybe this is done on purpose for the player to explore all the options.

I do have some complaints, but they are very minor. There are some bugs in the game, but considering I was playing a beta version, I found it to be very stable. I also find there's some slow down in the game, especially in the heavy action scenes, but this is not a deal-breaker. I'm not sure if it's lag or the graphics. Currently trying to tweak this by disabling some of the advanced video settings. Even though the game is free to play, expect that it will take you four times longer than if you had a premium subscription. You may also need to buy the class you want to get because at start you will only get a choice of 3 (but the first 3 are the best so far in my opinion).

if you like mmorpgs, i recommend you give this one a try.
