Seasons After Fall is a gorgeous year-round romp through the forest that will pull at the heartstrings on more than one occasion. Every season brings fun and different dynamics to the game, complemented superbly by the soundtrack. Some puzzles and load times may frustrate, but they’re not enough to detract from the overall charm and enjoyment of the game.

Seasons After Fall isn’t a perfect game to play, but rather a delightful game to look at. While it definitely could’ve used some more substance in its last couple hours, the games ethereal OST and lavish art style means that it is definitely worth checking out.

Seasons after Fall has definite artistic merit even if this comes at the expense of gameplay. The animation and graphics are truly wonderful to look at, and the voice work and music tie everything together but, the repetition in the puzzles and copious amounts of backtracking means, it is not as fun to play as it is to look at.

Seasons After Fall is a beautiful game to look at and listen to but it can often be tedious to play due to its insistence on repeated backtracking and general lack of guidance. There are some endearing moments throughout its confusing story but the amount of running back and forth between them makes it questionable whether they're worth the effort of uncovering.

Seasons After Fall has its share of issues, but it has enough going for it that there is an audience out there that will gain some enjoyment from it. The game's production values are top notch, so if you can look past the game's problematic level design and simplistic gameplay then you may find it to be a very serene and immersive experience. It is a shame that those issues exist though, because the game's mechanics show some terrific potential. There are scattered moments when all of the game's elements -- its atmosphere, its gameplay, and its graphics -- come together to provide some memorable experiences. In the end though, the story in Seasons After Fall is too vague and confusing to be satisfying, and a game's graphics and music can only carry it so far. There is more than enough art in this package, but there is not enough game.

At first glance, Seasons After Fall looks like a pleasant and relaxing experience; and it actually is if you decide to just sit back and look at its gorgeous art style and listen to its beautiful music. But when you decide to start playing, you find yourself running back and forth through repetitive levels and puzzles all the time.

To put it bluntly, Seasons After Fall is "pleasant." A world with a great feeling experience that tends to knock you out of it when moving around. As much as I appreciate a game as relaxed as this, that relaxation never quite became true enjoyment.

Puzzle become dull almost immediately after a new mechanic is introduced and traipsing through a beautiful but ultimately and ironically soulless forest was not very appealing. Full Review »

Finding all the flowers and mysteries can be tricky, but the unique atmosphere made me love this journey very much. As a fox, player can explore various landscapes and levels in order to find 4 season Guardians. As for such a small story it is suprisingly deep and broad thematically. This game really reminds me of books like "The little prince" or "Pax" with its stylistic choices and certain way of storytelling. This game is special and I highly recommend it! Full Review »

    Seasons After Fall,
The visual aspect of the game is awe inspiring and the music is breathtaking. I enjoy the music with great alacrity, so I have started working on a guitar cover for one of the songs. Throughout the game, you feel captured in a world of fantasy and beauty. I feel the need to just take a moment to look around and see everything and take it in. And the fact that they made the game available in many different languages makes a difference. The soundtrack for the game is now even available on 2 vinyl records. I would thoroughly enjoy another installment of Seasons After Fall, but the lack of advertisement has brought the game down since its release. The story of the game is easy to follow and the game lets you roam around and explore the world and its beautiful aesthetics. In conclusion, it is a work of art, and the time it took to make was truly worth the awe-inspiring moments I experienced.
