    Even for people like me who don't normally play sports, or racing games, this is a perfect combination of both. Football with little cars basically, but it's just FUN. Pure joy from the most important thing in games - the actual gameplay. It's fluid, well-produced, still entertaining even after months of playing... I love Rocket League. 9/10

    in a month where this is on offer for free back to back with driveclub it brought home to me just why i liked video games in the 1st place 1st i played drive club for 10 mins it looked beautiful, realistic and is all very serious and ultimately boring.

    then i almost had to force myself to start playing this, sounded like a rubbish freebee but once i did i simply couldn't put it down its    in a month where this is on offer for free back to back with driveclub it brought home to me just why i liked video games in the 1st place 1st i played drive club for 10 mins it looked beautiful, realistic and is all very serious and ultimately boring.

    then i almost had to force myself to start playing this, sounded like a rubbish freebee but once i did i simply couldn't put it down its stupid fun, unrealistic and cartoony looking, but yet very polished its phenomenally addictive and competitive in short everything great games used to be before everyone was bothered about fps and resolution.

    I am a massive fan of the original on PS3 and I was not disappointed by Rocket League in the slightest. Rocket League has moved away from the gimmicky side of SARPBC and is more about the sport side, which is fine by me but I'd like to see some DLC in the future that tips the cap to some of the crazy arenas we saw in SARPBC. I do like the new season mode which is very enjoyable and is aI am a massive fan of the original on PS3 and I was not disappointed by Rocket League in the slightest.     I'm going to be honest here and say that I thought this game would be crap, but considering it was free on PS+ I thought that I might as well give it a try and boy am I glad I did. Its just so addictive, after you get the hang of the controls you fall in love with the game. Will definitely buy the sequel if it comes out

Like many said, it is easy to learn but takes time to master. Once you got hook, you will just want to play more and more. This is the first game that made my fingers hurt (because I was too tense + playing nonstop for 6 hours)

    I wish I thought of this game... it's pure genius. The game is easy to play and hard to master. It takes a lot of skill and practice and if you have buddies who also play, the matches are really fun and challenging. The aesthetics are also very nice and people can definitely have their own style on their cars.

    The best PS plus game so far, i really love this game, it may look a bit silly on the face of it but its very competetive and can get very tense. Its free on PS Plus you have no reason to not download it

    This game is very interesting because it's very fun and very simple. You get teams and you shoot a ball in a goal with cars. The only potential downside is that there is a very big component of the gameplay (aiming the ball) which relies mainly on luck, so the game could become boring, but I guess we will see in the coming months.

    At first glance Rocket League may look like Soccer,Hockey and RC Cars had a Video Game child but once you play even one round you realize how balanced,competive and additively fun the game is. All vehicles have the same speed/handling and the only thing really setting them apart is there hit boxes, witch can make a big different with a game build around physics, The physics in the game are great you feel like you accomplish something when you send your car flying through the air using rocket boosts or launch the ball from your net to theirs.The ridiculousness of Rocket League is what makes it so fun, so many split second discussions and mistakes happen within seconds of each other in online matches and some become hilariously funny to watch unfold. There is also a Season mode witch is closer to a story mode type mode you'd find in FIFA or NHL games, but is great for practicing and getting the hang of this one of a kind game. The addition on Split Screen is also amazing, far to many games now a days are leaving out that option all together and Rocket League gives you the option to play with 4 people on one screen. Rocket League has 2v2s, 3v3s,4v4s and even 1v1s to play around in, 4v4s feel very hectic but are extremely fun, where the 2v2/3v3 feel bit more serious and playable 1v1 is fun for you and a friend but can feel quite slow at times. Anyone with a PS4 with PlayStation Plus NEEDS to download this game seeing it's free for the month of July it's something you will not regret and even if your on PC the $20 price tag isn't to bad for a game this additively fun… Expand

    So much fun and so addicting. Plus for all of the trophy hunters out there its an easy Platty... I picked it up when it was free but this is totally worth the $15 if u didn't.

    This is what video games are supposed to be. Fun, creative and simple yet ridiculous. The only complaints i have are that there is no drifting, no split screen and the AI is bad with own-goals. The gameplay is something that is very reminiscent of the first 2 twisted metal games back on ps1. No wonder sweet tooth makes a cameo.

I launch the ball in the air. It passes by all my opponents. The ball travels straight towards the net. Suddenly my 2nd team-mate, Stinger, blocks my shot with a bullet hit.     I don't like soccer or racing games, but this game is still like crack. Beware. Probably have 400 hours in this game and I still feel like a noob most of the time.

    I think the one word I could use to describe this game is that it's just plain awesome. I am not a huge fan of soccer (football), but when you mix it with rockets attached to cars, you get something unique and fun. I can't tell you how many times I've played this with my buddies late at night or simply starting a single player season and hopefully making it to the championship game.     Rocket league is an amazing game for the ps4/pc if you like fun online this game is for you if you hate online this game might be a bit boring

    The additional stuff, cars to unlock and 'hats' for cars etc to customise your beast, is all standard but well done all the same, it doesn't feel it's as important as playing the game - and online - it's awesome. 3 vs 3 is a real treat, as while 1 vs 1 is a standard skills test of who is better, playing 3 on 3 gives really good options for tactics - some of which will really aggravate your opposition!

    A brilliant fun game and the first PS+ indie title in a while imo to really cut the mustard. Get for free then find me online for a head to head :)    … Expand

The visuals are impressive, the gameplay is buttery smooth and super-responsive, and the controls are easy to pick up but hard to master. The multiplayer is good, the connection is solid, and the other modes are a solid experience too. This game easily puts FIFAPsyonix's Rocket League is one of the most fluid, innovative, and solidly designed games on the current-gen systems right now. The visuals are impressive, the gameplay is buttery smooth and super-responsive, and the controls are easy to pick up but hard to master. The multiplayer is good, the connection is solid, and the other modes are a solid experience too. This game easily puts FIFA and PES on the collective backfoot.     Simple games are often the most effective and this is the case with RL. Although easy to pick up and play there is huge depth in the mechanics and you are always learning something as you go. Never gets old to pull off a tricky aerial goal or a last ditch save. Tremendous stuff.

    This game is so much fun. just a simple idea which was hyped up by many twitch streamers. the game is very addictive which doesn't get boring. however i gave this a 9 because it could have more game modes for the future.

The controls are very smooth and intuitive and the game runs very well. You get occasional lag spikes when the cars explode but that's about it.

    On a side note, who came up with the idea for this game? Seems like it wouldn't work but it totally does. Making incredible goals and epic saves really gives you a nice adrenaline rush and a sense of achievement. Some of the games get really competitive too and all you can think of is how to make the winning goal and gain everyone's respect. Obviously the game is at its best when you play with friends but a lot of fun can be had even when playing alone.

    I wish there were more cars and customization options though. The devs are making DLC's that add these but this is the case for now. It feels silly that you can unlock all the customization options randomly. I think some of them should be locked behind certain achievements. For example you need to make 3 saves in one game to unlock some specific type of boost.

    But enough with the review, I'm off to play some more Rocket League!

    If meth was addicted to crack and booze covered in chocolate while smoking cigarettes, it still wouldnt come close to how addictive this game is! Pure gaming heaven :D

    Want to play soccer with cars? Do it download RL, the best game ever with a very competitive online mode, up tu 4v4 players but also the 1v1 is great, you can pimp your ride and look for the best way to score a goal!

    Probably the best free game I've ever played, and will ever be released. I've put hours into this game that seems simple and elementary, but as the competition gets more fierce becomes more complex. Teams that focus on teamwork will wipe the floor against unorganized teams, just like any sport.     I've never played a game which is just so fun before (And I've played a lot) This game experienced a hiccup when it was first released with regards to the poor server quality but even then me and my friends laughed like a bunch of giddy school girls.     The customisation is cool with the cars looking sexy as hell but there is no technical difference between them so there is no reason to use a small thin Paladin when the Merc makes it easier to hit the ball, customisation is cool with my car having a top hat and a peace antenna but I would like some more options like window tint and different bumpers to make the car truly mine.
    The gameplay is far from solid but that is a good thing it can be frustrating when a car flips in the wrong direction but it can also be funny, one thing that gets on my nerves is when your team mate bumps you out of the way for no reason or when you're going for the ball they friendly collision could be toned down a bit.
    The ball is Rocket League's biggest issue with regards that it take way too long to drop especially when it hits the wall, your team mate will attempt to cross it and you just sit there and wait for it to drop so you can score by which time the entire enemy team has set up a position in the goal and the person who crossed it has done a full lap.
    Despite those problems though this game is so damn fun, I play it after work everyday with my friends and I don't see myself stopping any time soon.

    For me Rocket League is the best surprise of 2015! It's one of those games you will play thinking ''meh must be good to spend some time'' but it's much more! The game is very good, fun and addictive, and the only thing that matters in the gameplay is your own skill

    I have not so much fun with a multiplayer game since Modern Warfare 2. The feel of the cars is really good and intuitive. Setting up an attack and scoring is really satisfying. Servers are a bit of a mess atm, but once that is fixed this is the best multiplayer game on the PS4 right now.

    This game is so smooth and wonderful looking. The visual FX. I downloaded last night and planned on playing one game before I went to bed (it was already late) 18 matches later and I can officially say I am hooked! Great game. Great Visuals. Great Sound. Lots of customization options. OVERALL AMAZING GAME!!

    A great time, fun trophies to hunt for and now it is even getting E-sport!

    Absolutely in love with this game. The learning curve is fairly steep when it comes to actually playing well, but the game is a blast. Next to Outlast, this has been the best game to release so far for Playstation Plus. Having a lot of fun with my friends online when it is working and I cannot wait to play it more.

    Rocket League blends soccer and racing games together, and it plays incredible well.

    Despite the simplicity, there is a high skill cap, and achieving mastery will definitely take a lot of practice. A lot of hilarious moments are to be had as well, such as scoring your own goal, or seeing a pimped out van with cash blowing out of it's exhaust.

    It's a sports game for people who don't like sports games! Although there were broken servers at first, the game has a fantastic matching system. AND the game's community hasn't gone to **** like Counter Strike or Minecraft so buy and play it before it does!!!

    Really impressed by Rocket League. There aren't that many true multi player game left out there locally. Simply put it's football with Rocket powered cars and its super super fun. The game would fall down if the mechanics weren't absolute top notch, which they most certainly are!

It's the most fun I've had with a game in a while, every chance i got a shot on goal I would scream in excitement for making the goal or yell in disbelief about my teammates messing up shot I'm trying to take.     Rocket League is legit. I got the game for free but ended up paying for the awesome soundtrack. Easy to play, more difficult to master, but fun for (I'm assuming) all skill levels. I've never heard a bad word said about the game. Colorful... fun... wait... why did I stop playing Rocket League? Gotta go!

It's less dopey than having higher player counts, and not as pointless as 1v1. But hey, you've seen the reviews, you get the point, so here are the gripes - what needs to change.

    Maps get old fast, though this is hard to complain about after Pysonix introduced Rocket Labs - a mode where experimental arenas with crazy angles and ramps are used. I think this needs to be available for 2v2 play.

    The 'Quick Messages' need an update. They are cheesy, its why a fraction of them are actually used. Though, It IS kind of enjoyable how upsetting it can be when someone spams "No Problem. No Problem. No Problem." After scoring a shot. Still, less cheese, more eggs.

    RANKED. Time after time, fantastic players are teamed up with the worst of the worst. I'm not gonna try and explain how to solve network sorting, because I don't know how. But really. Players who do bad should not be put in a ranked match with players who are very competitive. I even (often) see people with high ranks play while intoxicated or high, and who wouldn't want to - just keep players who play poorly out of playing with me in a RANKED match.

    That's it. Those are the gripes that matter to me. For the future, I hope Pysonix offers us more vehicle customization, soundtracks with more than three decent songs, and MAYBE JUST MAYBE BABY some kind of perk system for your vehicle. Just to try it out. I'm not a fan of over complicating and breaking something that works, but I think a subtle booster of your choice could potentially up the strategics. Maybe you can't ever get demolished. Maybe your boost works slightly better. Maybe your can activate extra gravity so your vehicle falls to the ground faster

The controls are hard to get used to and control, but once you get the hang of it, your good. The customization for your cars, are fun to unlock. Although you might find yourself raging at your sometimes stupid teammates that are really bad at the game.

The developers continue to improve it, to update. However, sadly, and added a couple of free cars to players. Quite a small number of machines.

    A unique game with no performance flaws, great physics and good soundtrack. The only negatives are the camera which can be sometimes misleading and toxic player community.
    But the real reason why it's not 10/10 is that the game used to require PS Plus membership before it went free to play. Back then without membership you could just play against bots.

    Also, there's a fair amount of different game modes, the customization is cool, the music is fine, and the visuals are pretty good but not anything special.
    Surprisingly enough, I don't have anything negative to say about this game; it's flawless.

    Rocket League is like FIFA but with cars and crazy action. One of the funniest online "sports" game I´ve ever player! Overall rating: 8,9.

    Ranked rewards are kinda stupid… u Play your Ranking Matches and After Ranking in dia u have to win 50 more games to get your dis rewards. That’s ridiculous

Aparte de ser ya un fenómeno de masas similar al "Fornite" y formar parte de la cultura popular mainstream, "Rocket League" es el simulador de fútbol más realista que encontrarás actualmente, con eso me refiero a que la fisicidad en el movimiento y el control del balón se debe únicamente a tu habilidad psicomotriz, es decir que el elemento diferenciador respecto a un "FIFA"o un "PRO" es que no hay un botón para pasar el balón, no hay una cámara situada desde perspectiva cenital para emular un partido de fútbol transmitido por TV, todo lo contrario este juego te hace sentir lo mismo que en la vida real. Cuando tiras un penalti, no pulsas ningún botón, todo se debe al impacto, al ángulo a la fuerza ejecutada y demás factores relacionados con la física. Tú controlas al avatar, no es una acción pasiva que simule un "Quick Time Event", no es jugabilidad cinemática. El fallo y el acierto son únicamente ejecutados por ti mismo. Supongo que en otras versiones la tasa de frames será diferente, al menos en la de PS4 pro y a 1080p (relativamente) no me ha dado ninguna bajada, pero el mayor atractivo de este juego es jugarlo en co-op o online con otros jugadores.     This is the best soccer game I’ve ever played, but it is not an traditional soccer game, it is a soccer game with freaking RC cars, and it is a LOT of fun. The online is decent at best, but the Platinum is what makes it shine for me.

    Great game, love it.

    Only 3 minus points.

    - servers could be a bit better.
    - Demos are inconsistent.
    - and my buddy keeps missing wide open goals after I did all that work of dribbling the entire team.

    Makes me big mad, the eu salty type of mad.

    It's a blast to play and it only gets better as skills improve over time and as the competition ramps up. It's a game that everyone, whether they’re big into sports video games or just can’t seem to get into them, will really enjoy.

    I have no problem saying that this is the best and most original sports game I have played since at least FIFA 12. It mixes all the best elements of sports and online multiplayer games into one in an affordable and seamless experience that looks awesome in YouTube videos as well.
