    Absolute masterpiece. I played it once and found it too scary and felt I wasn't making progression. Coupled with me dipping my feet in RE5 (hated it), I just chalked the RE series as something not for me. On a whim, I played RE2 remake (twice!) and I finally understand what the series had to offer. Deliberate and tight level design and gameplay. I fell in love with RE2 but the story wasAbsolute masterpiece. I played it once and found it too scary and felt I wasn't making progression. Deliberate and tight level design and gameplay. I fell in love with RE2 but the story was kind of simplistic and felt like a B movie. RE2 is easier to get into as the third person perspective is less scary than first person. Then I played RE3 and hated it.

    So I found myself giving RE7 another go, and although it's a scary game, it never felt like there were cheap scares for the sake of cheap scares. The gameplay works really well in first person. The level design is tight, with most rooms having so much personality. The shooting is good, although you feel more underpowered than RE2. The story shines through here, with so many elements coming together in the end in a very satisfying way. Graphics, just wow, best lighting I've ever seen. Sound design is on another level. Each boss has such amazing thematic atmosphere built around it.

    Negatives: I prefer a shorter and tighter experience, and the final area felt a bit unncessary. The moulded generally have a lot less personality than than zombies, but the boss fights in RE7 are an absolute highlight so it makes up for it. Felt a lot scarier in the beginning so will put off people who don't persevere. I hate the 'boss who roams' around mechanic, it adds atmosphere but from a gameplay perspective is a pain.

    If this is your first RE7, I'd recommend playing the RE2 remake as it'll help a lot of the concepts make sense if you're new to the survival horror genre, while being less intimidating.    … Expand

    اللعبة كانت جدا مختلفة مقارنة بباقي الألعاب في السلسلة وكان فيها تغير جذري وكبير في أكثر ما ناحية. أكبر تغيير راح تلاحظونه بطريقة اللعب. طريقة اللعبة صارت منظور أول بمعنى أن الشخصية ما تبين وأنت تلعب فيها وطبعا هالشي بالنسبة لي زاد من طابع الرعب باللعبة بشكل جدا كبير مقارنة بالأجزاء السابقة بالسلسلة واللي كانت تميل إلى كونها ألعاب أكشن أكثر من كونها ألعاب رعب! بيئة اللعبة جدا جميلة وتعيشاللعبة كانت جدا مختلفة مقارنة بباقي الألعاب في السلسلة وكان فيها تغير جذري وكبير في أكثر ما ناحية. أكبر تغيير راح تلاحظونه بطريقة اللعب. طريقة اللعبة صارت منظور أول بمعنى أن الشخصية ما تبين وأنت تلعب فيها وطبعا هالشي بالنسبة لي زاد من طابع الرعب باللعبة بشكل جدا كبير مقارنة بالأجزاء السابقة بالسلسلة واللي كانت تميل إلى كونها ألعاب أكشن أكثر من كونها ألعاب رعب! بيئة اللعبة جدا جميلة وتعيش اللاعب أجواء الرعب الحقيقية في الأرياف الأمريكية القديمة. الأشخاص اللي زاروا نفس هالأماكن بأمريكيا راح يربطون بين اللعبة والواقع الفعلي وهذا الشي راح يأثر على طريقة اللعب بناحية إيجابية. بكل بساطة أصوات اللعبة والمؤثرات الصوتية بالإضافة اللي التصوير كانوا جيدين ويعيشونك جو اللعبة ولكن كان في مجال عند المطورين تحسينهم بشكل عام. أكثر شي ممكن أنتقده باللعبة هو عدم تنوع الأعداء وسهولة تجنبهم بالإضافة إن الذكاء الاصطناعي للأعداء جدا مبدئي وبسيط لي درجة أن التحايل عليهم وتجنبهم جدا سهل. على الرغم من أن اللعبة المقصد منها الرعب إلا أن هذا الشي كان له تأثير سلبي من هذي الناحية. أيضا ألغاز اللعبة سهلة مقارنة بالأجزاء الأولية الي تميزت فيها السلسلة في بدايتها. ملاحظة أن طريقة التقدم بالقصة صارت مشابهه للطرق القديمة بمعنى أن لازم تدور مفاتيح بأشكال معينة عشان تكمل... بالنهاية اللعبة تعتبر من أفضل الألعاب اللي تقدم تجربة الفي آر وأنصحك تجربها بقوة إذا عندك الفي آر بس لا تلف راسك بسرعة عشان لا تدوخ.

    من الآخر:

    1- اللعبة رجعت لطابع الرعب عكس الأكشن في الأجزاء السابقة بالأخص أن طريقة اللعب تغيرت وصارت منطور أول واللي يساعد بشكل كبير في هذا الشي.
    2- العبة فيها أكثر من نهاية وبشكل عام قدمت طريقة لعب فريدة باستخدام البليستيشن في آر.
    3- بيئة اللعبة جميلة وتعيش اللاعب أجواء الرعب في الأرياف الأمريكية.

    A very atmospheric title that shows a lot of promise for future instalments, just let down a little from being very short, even by RE standards and a lack of enemy variety. The shift to 1st person works extremely well.

    Admittedly, I was put off by the news of a change to a first-person style. I had grown accustomed to RE being third-person for two decades, and as this was the latest addition in the core RE series, I was concerned. I am happy to say that this game is brilliant. Very gruesome and legitimately scary, the new direction works like a charm. A superb game.

    Xd all the salty reviews from people who have never played a RE title (or SH for those making poor comparisons).

    Up there with REmake 2 as the best in the series. Weak second half, but great first. Short, but which RE game cant be beaten in 2 hours?

    This is the first game in the series that I played. Cinematic is good. I think, characters well constructed. Most of people don't play this game for its story but I loved story (İndeed for Mia heh-heh). The gameplay part didn't bother me either.

    Resident Evil 7, arguably the scariest modern Resident Evil and probably the least enjoyable one... but not in a bad way.
    Once again in a Resident Evil game, the story is not good but it's not an important part of the game either, no need to analyze it.
    Same goes for the characters, although the Baker family are very creepy and interesting antagonists, particularly Jack Baker, one of the    Resident Evil 7, arguably the scariest modern Resident Evil and probably the least enjoyable one... but not in a bad way.
    Once again in a Resident Evil game, the story is not good but it's not an important part of the game either, no need to analyze it.
    Same goes for the characters, although the Baker family are very creepy and interesting antagonists, particularly Jack Baker, one of the most threatening yet fun antagonists in the entire series with some of the best moments in the game.
    The gameplay is okay; everything works well, the shooting mechanics are satisfying and the survival horror elements are there, however, the movement is very slow and it gets annoying when facing the Molded; the main enemy type of the game and the only enemy type of the game, unfortunately.
    The atmosphere and the setting though, are probably my favorite parts of the game; they're haunting, terrifying and disgusting, which are backed up by very good graphics and audio design.
    As for the pacing, it's mostly consistent up until the last third of the game, where it feels dragged out, but the final boss is kinda cool.

    + Beautiful visuals

    - Poor enemy variety

    Yeah it’s cool. Lots of fun, creepy and scary. Not a big RE fan but I’d recommend. The first person really adds to the horror. 8/10

    loved this game so much , it tries something different unlike any other , good story and honestly one of the scarier resident evil games i've played, very well made with exceptional DLC as well.

    RE8 reminded me of how scary RE7 was lol
    For RE series I prefer TPS over FPS, but I definitely had a lot of fun with this game. It doesn't feel like an action game, it's a horror game. This game has the horror which was lacking in recent resident evil games.

From the atmosphere, to the sandbox elements and, finally, the world building. This game manages to make every emotion felt count throughout the whole game.     There is no Resident Evil game here. The plot is weak, there are no puzzles and no satisfactory relation with Umbrella and all the incidents. Only a generic FPS horror game. Please, CAPCOM! Return to the bases!

    The atmosphere created an amazing sense of suspense. I was not expecting Resident Evil to go back to its horror roots. For a game in the Resident Evil franchise, it was a lot scary than expected. At points, I felt like they missed opportunities to really freak the user out. AI could have been better, felt forced rather than actually living characters.     This game is pretty much the perfect resident evil game. I highly recommend especially for those wanting to get into the series, you don't need to know a a lot or even any of the story beforehand. Just enjoy the ride!

    In light of the boulder punching nonsense of Resident Evil 5 and 6, I was nervous about Resident Evil 7 but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's more than an Outlast clone. It shows that when Capcom grants control to writer Richard Pearsey, who wrote Spec Ops: The Line, greatness will emerge. RE7 starts with our protagonist Ethan Winters in the midst of searching for his wife MiaIn light of the boulder punching nonsense of Resident Evil 5 and 6, I was nervous about Resident Evil 7 but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's more than an Outlast clone. It shows that when Capcom grants control to writer Richard Pearsey, who wrote Spec Ops: The Line, greatness will emerge. RE7 starts with our protagonist Ethan Winters in the midst of searching for his wife Mia after receiving an odd video from her abroad while she worked a secret project before abruptly going missing. The search has taken Ethan out to an outskirt Louisiana bayou, within minutes of leaving their vehicle the player is in a lovely forest in bright daylight which was unexpected to say the least. Though as the player travels toward their destination the surroundings become more and more grim (this includes a graphic ritualistic vivisection of a horse). Finally at the end of the trail Ethan finds himself at the gates of the seemingly abandoned Baker family residence. This cliché yet unique intro is probably the best horror intro I've encountered maybe ever. Just to give the player an idea of what they are in for throughout the game, Ethan quickly becomes gravely injured and even loses a hand (though miraculously healing via green water). A phone rings with the voice of Zoe Baker on the line who warns Ethan of the troubles at home and offers help. It is around this time that we meet the whole Baker family. The father Jack, mother Marguerite, son Lucas, and grandma. All of whom have more personality in their individual selves than RE 5 & 6 have in their whole games. Naturally, dinner with the fam does not go well for Ethan which violently upsets Jack. Upon escaping daddy you are left to the horrors of the mansion. Through every hall there are a number of puzzles to solve which require great skill to complete. Not because the puzzles are difficult, but because of the horrifying Venom like creatures stalking and assaulting the player at every turn. As one can predict each of the Baker family members has a unique area and boss fights (yes, fights with an S because you will face each one a number of times). If you have a fear of insects, mother Marguerite is one you should mentally prepare for. Throughout each area the story unfolds beautifully, and sometimes annoyingly due to a lack of inventory space. This can be improved on but in classic RE fashion it's never massive and has no auto organize feature. You may end up wondering "How is this a Resident Evil game without Umbrella?" but be patient, you'll get there, and find the worst of the worst Eveline along the way. From a technical perspective RE7 can be a challenging game as the movement is very janky, Ethan runs and walks as though he weighs a metric ton, which is a big negative for me. The mold monsters are also a negative, they're bullet sponges who only exist to fill space while you do your stuff, and their design is a little uninspired. The long and short of it is that if you enjoyed Resident Evil 2,3, and 4, you will definitely enjoy this one. Even though the story lacks some of that classic camp. In addition there are no necessary microtransactions or overly expensive DLC.… Expand

    Gran videojuego que sabe mantenerte en tensión hasta el final. La franquicia ha sabido renovarse y ojalá siga esta línea, ya que en primera persona se vive más intenso todo. Como pero…. habría estado bien más variedad de enemigos. Muy recomendable.

    Played it without VR, unreal.

    Can’t imagine how brutal it is in VR.

    It is a good game but it has a low replayability, once you pass it you already know all the tricks for the following games. It is of very short duration, I liked that it is in the first person although there are many people who criticize it and a very good soundtrack and immersion in the story. I give it a 6 since I had very high expectations that have not been fully met

I played the game in all difficulties and it was really good, however the madhouse was more hard at start consider it take 20 headshots to take down Mia and you only get 27 ammo in total, the ending is kinda weak consider all you do is shooting and you barelly even use left stick.

Muito bom, fiquei o dia inteiro só jogando ele, tendo seus momentos de dificuldade e ação e de medo e estratégia bem equilibrados, um jogo divertido é muito bem feito, a história é muito boa, quase não notei furos que não são explicados pelas dlcs, e pra finalizar, os Bosses, a os bosses, eles tem seus momentos especiais, o Jack é mais difícil, já a Margareth tem uma tensão maior ao lutar com ela, por ela sumir do nada, os desafios do lucas são em partes até divertidos, podendo lhe dar umas possíveis risadinhas por causa do geito maníaco dele, e a Eveline ela foi a mais fácil, porém a que teve mais impacto, quase literalmente, então resumindo, jogo bom, recomendo, se estiver em dúvida de comprar, compra que é bom.… Expand

I have minor nitpicks like Ethan is so dumb and his actor does not sell he is horrified about seeing a cop get his head cut in half with a shovel or having his hand being cut off. Don’t worry I’m only mentioning stuff in the beginning hour of the game. But just like every other Resident Evil game item management is key during a boss if you run out of bullets your really screwed specially when the fight is against the mother. There is little ammo and health to go by so you have to make them it it’s a refreshing difference because I just got done playing Uncharted 4 where you can punch and run and gun but with this you have only 10 shots in your pistol waste it and you have to use a pocket knife which is not useful. The puzzles are not hard but not too easy one in particular is very unique if you didn’t watch a play through before like I did you would be confused but I loved it. The bosses are nothing to ride home about either there all easy even the final boss because by then you have a gun with a lot of ammo. But that doesn’t matter when this is the best FPS Horror game I have ever played. It’s available now on all modern platforms for about 20 bucks it’s short but fun.… Expand

    This game is awesome. The reason why people play horror games is to be immersed in something that scares them and that pushes their psychological, emotional, and mental limits. RE7 accomplishes that and more in creating a beautiful yet horrific setting and building psychological pressure around the player as they progress through the game.     RE7 is a great horror game, an enjoyable one for sure. The devs dared to move forward and try something new after RE6, which was pretty bad to my taste, and that is remarkable. Sure, this RE has some flaws, big ones, actually:

    - the plot is not very consistent, with some details not matching, which is clear to anyone paying attention to it. The game also directly spoils its key plot twist in like 5 minutes before it happens, wtf;
    - RE also loves throwing cheap jump scares at you pretty often;
    - some may not like this new texas chainsaw massacre style (myself included);
    - the second part of the game feels like it was made in a rush before hitting a release deadline, with fewer things happening, no new challenges, fights, or puzzles.
    - the whole "big choice" thing is disappointing. You'd expect much more impact on the ending than it actually has;

    Was expecting to hate this as someone who grew up playing the originals but wow I was wrong. What an amazing game and by far the scariest game I've ever played. Really hope they make a throwback in this way first person but back in Raccoon city with zombies etc. If you love the old Res evils or survival horror this is a must

    Ottimo capitolo della nuova saga.
    Bellissima la prima parte all'interno della casa, personaggi inquietanti e situazioni claustrofobiche. Adrenalina assicurata.
    Seconda parte un po' in calo.
    Longevo al punto giusto e livello di sfida ben bilanciato.
    Funziona bene anche la visuale in prima persona.

Shows barely any care in serious situations and you don't get to see his face which doesn't work in a game like this. Certain parts of the game are boring and meaningless. Movement is far to slow although this was improved in re8. I didn't really enjoy spending half the game in 1 building and just constantly walking back on myself but some may feel different. The ending was quite good but I won't spoil it. Gun mechanics weren't bad. I think some weapons need small buff. The burner was terrible and dealt hardly any damage. The machine gun took like half a clip per kill.

    I hate infinite spawning enemies in any game. It's misleading and those who don't know about them could end up using countless supplies for no reason and in a game with limited resources it's a terrible idea. You could ruin your save through wasting resources for no reason. The best way to play this game is just to hardly ever kill anything unless you really need to and just run away, sometimes shoot to flinch the enemy allowing you to run past, get to a save room and they all die. Save rooms are in all areas to you never have to run far. Also enemies can't breach doors so while your running just close doors behind you. The fact you can do that in this game is just stupid to say the least. Bosses in this game are terrible and boring. They give you no feeling of accomplishment. You never know if your suppose to just shoot it or they have infinite health and you have to kill them through an objective. For example 1 boss you have to keep knocking them back every so many seconds with 1 headshot. If you didn't know this you could sit there and drain tons of ammo. In this game you always have an immortal NPC chasing you. You can't kill them until you are in a certain encounter. But it's just annoying. I didn't mind it once but when it's every level it gets old. You think you killed 1 but then another NPC is walking round. This game stretches recycling content to the max. Each boss has 3 encounters. Things are changed but it's still the same NPC. Another terrible idea is exploding loot crates. It's just a cheap way to damage the player because they can't be told apart. The only way you would know is if you knew it was there. It's a shame because the story in this game is amazing. But the gameplay is just disappointing and not thought out enough.    … Expand

But that said, once it gets going, ya get locked into it.

    The one particular complaint I want to include here is that the VR mode is better at most points, but then there are other points where I just flat-out wasn't looking at the right area for certain jump scares like I would've in non-VR and it actually confused me. That and the sound design is a little over-reactive to Ethan's footsteps; I kept thinking someone was right near me when it was literally just Ethan brushing up against some tiny object.

    Overall, great game, though. The story is more believable than most Resident Evil titles. The grittiness in the atmosphere makes the environment feel somewhat less fictional, which makes the scares from abnormal circumstances remain engaging, even when it gets ridiculous. Comes off a little bit like an homage to multiple classic horror movies, but it ties it all together organically enough to not feel like fan service. Definitely a worthwhile title for fans of horror games.    … Expand

    O RE7 é o retorno triunfal da franquia. Tem o gênero de survivla horror dos primeiros e ainda acrescenta um terror, principalmente com o modo em primeira pessoa, que pode não agradar alguns, mas funciona. O puzzles, cenários e a história simples funciona perfeitamente. O jogo é bizarramente bom e desesperador em alguns momentos. Simplesmente um dos melhores da franquia.

The Baker family’s descent into madness is well explained and the antagonists are all compelling and interesting. Staples of Resident Evil games such as crafting and limited resources make a return here. Both do an excellent job of allowing the player freedom in ammo choice and amplifying the need for resource conservation and exploration. The worst aspect of RE7 has to be the actual gunplay. Aiming feels unresponsive and clunky. This can largely be explained by the fact that RE7 was made for VR. The VR aiming and shooting is actually extremely precise. The boss battles are hit or miss with some being extremely fun and cinematic and others being cinematic but not very engaging. My most memorable moment has to be using a car to run down a boss in a climactic battle. Overall, RE7 succeeds in everything important and left me excited for the future of the franchise.… Expand

    It starts out absolutely amazing, so scary and the atmosphere is fantastic, gameplay is fun, puzzles are fun. Then about 3 quarters into the game the game decides to be super mid. If you’ve played the game you know what I’m talking about. 10/10 first 3 quarters and 3/10 last quarter. Capcom had some serious potential here but they just messed up the last part of the game.

    This is my favorite part at the moment. A new protagonist who was just a regular guy, not a cop or agent, the game play itself from the first person gave me more fear while playing it, and this whole bakers family thing. Perfection, one of my favorite games

It takes you back straight up to the survival horror roots of the Resident Evil series, but with a more modern focus in terms of gameplay and without taking most or none of the elements that make an OG style Resident Evil game an actual OG Resident Evil game.

    The only part or section of the game that i didn't like too much, was the one on the boat, but because it was so short, i don't think it takes away anything out of the experiencie

    RE7 bring the saga back to true horror. Claustrophobic, looney, pure madness around you from brilliantly designed characters. They keep spoiling the great work done on characters with the non-sense bulky super-monsters they become, for the boss fight... Why? They are so predictable, it doesnt make them a boss fight at all!

To this day this game is terrifying and incredibly difficult at the start making your body almost tense up at times. It deals with tension so damn well going fully into the horror department.     Whether played in VR or not, Resident Evil 7: biohazard is a thrilling game and it shouldn’t be missed. If you have the option to play the game with a PSVR, you should by all means do so. Regardless of how you play Resident Evil 7: biohazard, just be sure that you do because it is one of 2017’s finest releases and the constant stream of DLC keeps the nightmare alive.
