    Sadly they just focus on Read Dead Online, which is pay to win... :(( So it's only worth to buy for the Story Mode!

    Realism for realism sake is a fine idea but became oh so bothersome if you apply it to a 100+ hour game. The game encourage you to immerse yourself in its overly sized map and content but you find yourself spending a good portion of your time just going from point A to point B.

    Having played this in a time where I got a lot of free time to burn makes me evaluate it now at the state I am    Realism for realism sake is a fine idea but became oh so bothersome if you apply it to a 100+ hour game. The game encourage you to immerse yourself in its overly sized map and content but you find yourself spending a good portion of your time just going from point A to point B.

    Having played this in a time where I got a lot of free time to burn makes me evaluate it now at the state I am in. 2 or 3 hours of playing time will actually net you only 30 minutes of actual progress since you will faff about.

    Story-wise, it packs a punch harder than the first game but the player choice in decisions leads to just a few different cutscenes which make people tend to go for the happy ending rendering the decision choices moot.

    Nothing revolutionary in the 3rd person shooter battle mechanics and with the auto-aim as default (gameplay suffers if its disabled) then headshotting goons is a lot easier which makes upgrade of weapons also useless.

    Side stories are interesting and great in the typical Rockstar way.

    All in all a good experience but with lots of "time extenders" that in a way im thankful they didnt went the Ubisoft way of selling time freaking savers.    … Expand

    On my mind, Red Dead Redemption 2 it is a masterpiece. I have not seen such a detailed game for a few year. The game have couple significant mistake, Arthur Morgan can not care water supplies. We can see four types of daytime such as morning, afternoon, evening and night, but the one has not change of datas. All this limitations are inessential and don't influence on gameplay.     This game makes me smile, laugh, but also cry from grief and regret, the strongest storyline of all the games ever released. Red Dead Redemption 2 can not be rated on a ten-point scale, such games have never been. Thanks, Rockstar games!

    They cant do better with a cowboy theme. Honestly I am not really fan of cowboys but I really enjoyed it anyway. Only bad thing about game is the island part. It really irrelevant

    I finally got around to playing and completing this game. First, a short list of cons:

I did that through the first 2 chapters and then I realized people were treating my like I was an animal. I wanted to change things and I wanted people to treat me good. So that’s what I did.     The game is a true masterpiece but I'll score it 1 as Rockstar **** decided not to make a photo mode.
    Even the dullest PS4 game has a goddamn photo mode but RDR only has it not PC (where you can use goddamn Ansel and stuff like that). And even after PC release photo mode was not included in the PS4 version so curse you.

    Great story and visually stunning on PS4 - can't deny it's an impressive achievement of a game with incredible attention to detail. Some of the gameplay mechanics at the beginning felt 'slow' but over-time you get used to them and I think it ultimately lends to the experience of the game, the setting and time period it depicts.

    очень долгое начало сюжета. с второй попытки втянулся в игру. понравилось даже больше чем анчартед игра. советую всем любителям песочниц и открытого мира. только тут еще разбавлено элементами выживания

    Ma soprattutto,per me che sono un'amante delle traversate in giro per la mappa e delle bellezze da ammirare, è perfetto.Ogni volta,che ci si trovi su una montagna o in una foresta,ci si    capolavoro...

    Bir puanı nereden kırdım peki? Oynanış birazcık yavan kalıyor ve görevlere giderken yavaş şekilde grup halinde çok at sürmek gerekebiliyor. Ama çok sorun değil. Kesinlikle oynamalısınız.

    Even if is a beautiful game, the 80 hours of main history does not allow you to have a good control of your actions to explore, and the very bad 8+ Epilogue destroys the history completely to remind you that is not Red Dead Redemption 2 but RDR 0.5, also de shooting system, is incredible easy to do headshots, which destroy most of the key points on a western based game

    Игра прекрасна. Поставил 9 баллов,сбросил 2 балла за унылое начало и тупой ум у лошадей.В начале сюжета я скакал 90% геймплея , это было очень скучно,а так игра начинает быть интересной к концу 3 главы.Игра на любителя.

    Masterpiece but not for everyone. Be prepared to waste a lot of time by slowly riding on a horse back. For me it was quite pleasing and relaxing. Story is top of a notch and characters are so damn natural and unique. Amazing experience!

    Great story that made me feel sad with its ending.
    Great immersive soundtracks.
    On the contrary, missions felt dull and repetitive in nature at times, but story kept me going.
    Also, the random missions across the world were not interesting enough for me to stay invested.

Simply divine optimization, it seems impossible that an hardware like ps4 is still able to run similar games. All crowned by a long and well-narrated story, extended by many secondary quests and rather pleasant additional activities. The only negative thing is the gameplay, still too cumbersome as it isA masterpiece. Technically perfect. A vast game world, alive and teeming with details. Simply divine optimization, it seems impossible that an hardware like ps4 is still able to run similar games. All crowned by a long and well-narrated story, extended by many secondary quests and rather pleasant additional activities.     Nearly perfect game with a compelling story. Arthur Morgan character is 90% of the game, you'll grow attached to him and his decisions through the game. Maybe the gameplay and combat system needed a improvement, but the graphics and facial animations are amazing. I totally recommend give it a try. You don't regret!

    Compelling voice acting, albeit accompanied by a fairly predictable plot. The exploration is enjoyable with plentiful breathtaking moments. However, the experience is marred by clunky horse riding and shooting. Additionally, the way the lawmen react to the player's actions (and inactions) is completely illogical. The result was a playthrough that felt like a chore.

    technically perfect. it is the game that has rewritten the rules in this generation. Perfect in everything from animations, sound, kinematics, interactions, artificial intelligence and much more. Sorry only for the multiplayer which is the big flaw of the title.

    I had very high expectations on this game and tbh it didn't deliver. I really don't understand why is this game so overrated.

    The Good: - Graphics are outstanding. This is by far the best looking open world game to date. - Level of detail. The world is massive, beautiful & very much alive. It is filled with content. - Story, The story is good...just good. Kind of predictable and not    I had very high expectations on this game and tbh it didn't deliver. I really don't understand why is this game so overrated.

    The Good:
    - Graphics are outstanding. This is by far the best looking open world game to date.

    - Story, The story is good...just good. Kind of predictable and not the masterpiece a lot of people say it is.
    - Voice acting. The acting is pretty good.

    The bad:
    - Controls and mechanics. This game has the worst controls of the past generation by far. They are clunky and frustrating. They made me just want to finish the game ASAP. I'm not playing this game again.
    - Pacing. The pacing of this game is terrible. The first half of the game can get pretty boring at times. Then it get's better but meh. It just has bad pacing all along.
    - Fast Travel. You will be traveling by horse A LOT. Fast Travel is very limited and sometimes useless. You will lose a lot of time traveling from one place to another wich results in getting bored.
    - Saving. This game autosaves but if you start a mission guess what! You can't save in the middle of it. Really Rockstar? Can't save in the middle of a mission? What is this? 1991?
    - Realism. This is something I think a lot of people like and I can't see why. The game is filled with detailes and...reality. You have to cook and eat, otherwise you will lose skills. You have to hunt for food. You have to prepare coffee. Taking items is hard cause the character actually takes them. This just makes the game slower and it affects the overall pacing.
    - Secondary missions. A lot of them are pretty boring. Just go from A to B and watch cinematics with NO ACTION AT ALL. Again, bad pacing and boring.
    - Bugs. The game has some bugs. Secondary missions disappear and then appear again. Can't tell when can you access them for real. I lost some secondary missions due to this bug.

    All in all it's a good game but absolutely not the masterpiece a lot of people say it is.    … Expand

    Finally played it this year, did not understand the hype. Shoot some people, listen to Dutch say, "I got a plan", then move camp, repeat. It gives no incentive to try to go hunting or interact with the open world.

    I can’t for the life of me figure out how this game got rated so well. 98% of the things you can do in this game are pointless and are just to waste time in the most generic and boring ways. The game is inconsistent and the writing is frustratingly lazy. Nothing to be impressed about and certainly not something to waste your money on. Wait until it’s free.

    The best and most immersive open world experience I’ve ever had, bar none. Arthur Morgan is one of my favorite video game characters of all time, and his surrounding cast isn't bad too. Just a few cons though. The pacing of the story starts to deteriorate after the Saint Denis heist. The Guarma chapter felt pointless. Плюсов очень много: большой мир, отличная стрельба, реалистичная охота, интересный сюжет, и многое другое. Также игра очень красиво детализированна, и интересна.     Одна из 2-3 лучших игр,что я играл. Эпохальное произведение с великолепным миром, персонажами, музыкой, звуками природы. Могу бесконечно долго хвалить её, облизывая каждый элемент игры. Сотни часов великолепного медитативного геймплея. Отдельное спасибо за Артура Моргана и его озвучку, шикарный персонаж. Для меня - это игра у которой нет минусов. Величайшая из игр.     整个游戏太大了，一旦开始很难能退出来，因为随时都有事情可以做。主线支线，路上各种随机事件，各种探索，甚至与赏金猎人的周旋，所有内容都是质量非常高的，没有任何一个任务感觉会重复会无聊，就算看似容易重复的通缉令任务（赏金），每个罪犯也都有自己的故事与人物性格。

    任务经常需要长距离跑图，这可能会让很多人觉得节奏慢，但有时候AB两点间的所见所闻才是更有意思的吧。刚开始的两章基本上摸不着头脑，让我干什么就干什么，完全分不清谁是谁，因为出场npc太多了，光是营地里面的人就需要画很多时间与精力去熟悉。对于喜欢快节奏的人，可能会不喜欢这款游戏。喜欢文火炖煮还是大火爆炒，仁者见仁智者见智吧。

ВСЁ это сделано на "ура". ставлю 9 только из-за немного затянутой концовки, но это не было мучительным "да закончись ты уже!".     All the production values in the world and ridiculous attention to detail can't save a boring slog of a game with horrible pacing and tedious mission structure/open world where you spend 50% of your game time going from point A to point B with your horse ...

    This game ruined my X button :(

    Beautiful, fun, and immersive. You can lose yourself in it for days whether you're playing the story line or just riding around. Haven't played multiplayer... But single player alone is well worth the purchase.

    WORST CONTROLLS EVER MADE. EVEN GTA 3 AND VICE CITY HAS BETTER CPNTROLLS. ANIMATIONS RESTRICT YOUR MOVEMENTS. EVERY TIME EVERYWHERE ANIMATIONS BOTHERING AND INTERCEPT THE THE MOVEMENT. OVERRATED BAD GAME. JUST GRAPHICS ARE GOOD. EXCEPT GRAPICS ITS JUST SH*T. ESPECIALLY IN RED DEAD ONLINE.

    in short, the most boring game I have ever played. Slept on the couch too many times. Not going to buy a game just on reviews without watching a gameplay video on how engaging the Game really is.

    The Graphics were indeed the best.

    Even though the game is not perfect (no game really is), i give it a 10.

    Rockstar Games not only created a new video game, they created art. The best storyline and best graphics as of 2020. The game is long, but not boring. The only part which might seem too slow paced is the prologue. Combat is decent, animations amazing, like in every Rockstar game after GTA IV.

    The most beautiful game I've ever seen. Good chatacters, unique missions and activities. The map is huge and the world is alive, much more than in other openworld games. Worth the money and it is very long also. Loved it.

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]

    Amazing not only for Western lovers. No other game has probably offered so many options to express yourself in the open world, and at the same time did not have such an interesting, rough and moving story. A magnificent experience, with a slightly slower start. [Issue#291]
