    When it comes to game design this is preobably one of the best there is, a masterpiece even, but i do think the story and side quests are over hyped as many class this as being better than games like the witch and I just cannot agree

    This game is very good but severely overrated. Like people think that this game is god's greatest gift or something. Which it isn't. But that does not mean that the game is bad. The game is still a good time and has an incredible story but I'm only not giving this a 10 because of how good a lot of the gaming publications think this is when it's not as good as they make it seem. While at its core it is a beautifully crafted and engaging experience the moment to moment gameplay within had me constantly asking the question am I having fun, and for the most part I was but not always....

    Story - RDR2's story follows that of    While this is by no means a hateful review of the game, RDR2 falls victim to one of the greatest pitfalls in AAA gaming... Shallow Gameplay. While at its core it is a beautifully crafted and engaging experience the moment to moment gameplay within had me constantly asking the question am I having fun, and for the most part I was but not always....

    Story - RDR2's story follows that of Arthur Morgan, surrogate Big Bro to John Marston and Dutch Vanderlin's bff. It chronicles the fall of the Vanderlin gang and how event of RDR's opening came into being. This is mostly told through story missions and cinematics, which for all intensive purposes are pretty good. A lot of missions in this game kept me engaged or interested in the plot and goings on of the gang members. This worked... for a while. Where in beginning you just happen to be on the horse one more time, experiencing the life of an outlaw at around the half way to 2/3s mark the event of the game begin feel like they're repeating themselves up until the climactic ending sequence. Then you play epilogue. Ultimately the story of RDR2 is a wonderful slough which you will be happy to to be finished by the end, but when its finally over you can't help but miss it.

    Gameplay - The beauty and flaw of RDR2's gameplay is in those moments between the big set piece shoot outs and the cutscenes. Its doing the little things in the game like harassing people on the street and hearing their response, or running into highways thugs and taking them out or just going fishing. While the gunplay and big story arch's are still enjoyable its the little bits and baubles that really tie it all together and keep you going. Just riding around I found myself asking question like should I save the lady being kidnapped on horse back or I wonder what this strange man in the park is calling me over for. Little moment like that make up the highlights reel for the game while its the big set piece to set piece story mission had me feeling bogged down when they popped up. These little moment are where it feel like the devs were able to actually have fun and experiment with what possible in this world of satire and sadism.

    While not a masterpiece, this game is no where near unplayable. At times being boring and repetitive and other engaging and visceral, the little moment that stick with you really show you why Rockstar is still considered one of the top game development studios to date, but also why they need to shake up their formula and get comfortable going outside the box more often then not.

    it's 2022 , i've experienced more than 150 games in 2 decades of my life ... my opinion on read dead 2
    Graphic : 10/10 the way they designed and optimized that world is pretty impressive
    gameplay:8/10 level design was not that professional and realistic when you stand against 100 man and you pull the trigger and you can easily run or walk to cover , should be more action and realistic    it's 2022 , i've experienced more than 150 games in 2 decades of my life ... my opinion on read dead 2

    story : 8/10 , first 50% of the game was too boring and repetitive , it was more like wasting time .. some part of the story could've been much better
    they dedicated a lot of time for creating details that might no one can see or notice it but they missed some crucial part of the game like gameplay and story ... overall i respect the work    … Expand

С одной стороны большой порог вхождения присущ шедеврам(к примеру Death Stranding), но с другой стороны медлительный и скучный геймплей-это не признак шедевра, а просто недостаток, который может некоторым понравиться. Для меня лично игра 10/10, я проникся этой медитативностью и реалистичностью, мне былообъективно больше 8 баллов игра не заслуживает, потому что она очень на любителя. I played this game 5 entire time's, this game is a great game i love it, if u are into western games this might be ur new favorite game. the story is amazing and playing this game for the first time is like amazing. and how could i rate this game if i dont mention the amazing graphics i spent hours roaming the western fields. just looking everywhere and because i dont wanna spoilAmazing!     Brilliant story! However gameplay can be boringly repetitive and the first person mode makes me motion sick, the fov is crazy low and the camera is being jerked around like crazy ALL THE TIME.

    But still, i have no regrets buying it.

    It is a game that would have been much better without the meaningless and extended scenes involving the dutch character. Incredible animation and texture details, open world that feels endless, can only be disgraced with such a bad scenario. The fact that it can give so much pleasure despite all this nonsense really upsets me because of the wasted potential. YOU COULD BE 10 OUT OF 10...

    One of the best game’s i’ve ever played, great amazing characters, beautiful open world and the story is one of the best stories ever told in gaming. Cons however I would say the epilogue is way to long for me at least

    I think Red dead 2 is a fantastic game. The graphics isn't the best i have ever seen but the physics is probably the best in a recent open world game. The story follows Arthur Morgan and the Van der linde gang back when the wild west was slowly dying. And it is awesome. And the gameplay is also incredibly good and it keeped me hooked for many hours. But i must say that the story is long.I think Red dead 2 is a fantastic game.     The gamplay is really in depth and entertaining, aiming without the abilities is hard but not impossible, the story goes from 0 to 100 and back to 0 in a matter of a couple of missions, and that is what makes the game exciting

    There is a wide array of guns, but(and this is one of the bads of the game) they are mission locked for the most part, which I highly dislike

    The small side missions that are introduced as a way to earn money are a let down, you do them for the fun, but they are NOT going to make you money

    The game is so in depth and alive, characters go around doing their stuff, you can follow an npc around and he'll go to the saloon, then to a store, stop to talk to someone, go home, etc.

    There is so much to do all the time, there is fast travel in the game in several obvious and non obvious ways but the greatest experience is when traveling on your own via horse

    Threr are very very many side missions that need specific criteria met, like time of day and such, as well as many of the random encounters, which makes the game more dynamic, and exploration really rewards

    The biggest downside is the typical rockstar annoying missions "Get 100 X" those are extremely annoying and it is when it shows the lack of care in some things(minimal,but annoying) like the silly mechanic that when there is a mission that says "hunt X" said X practically goes extinct, you can literally spend weeks playing the game 5-10 hrs a day, and not see whatever X you are trying to find, which becomes annoying and makes you cheat by checking what you need for those missions beforehand so that you don't spend a month in them silly things

    There are some minor glitches here and there and some things that are badly made, mostly the law system, if someone robs you and you defend yourself, you get the bouinty and the robber walks away, same with the people that attack you for no reason in some parts, or someone badmouths you and you brawl, but they start the brawl, you still get a wanted level, that is absurd

    Another thing badly thought is that there is a whole area that you cannot access throughout the whole game and after it ends, there are like 5 missions there and that is it, it would have been awesome to have an actual DLC take place there

    This goes without saying but I will say it anyway because there are parents that do not think straight some times, this is A GAME FOR A MATURE AUDIENCE, and it has some things that can be traumatizing for kids, MOST ADULTS CRY, SOMETIMES A WHOLE SEA, AT SOME POINTS IN THE GAME, so imagine what will this do to a kid. DO NOT GET THEM KIDS THIS GAME    … Expand

    He de decir que me decepcionó un poco, quizá por las altas opiniones de la gente. Me explico: el juego es una pasada, muy bien hecho, con misiones en todas las esquinas, todo muy detallado (como la caza, variedad de animales, etc), pero con el paso de misiones y misiones se me hizo un poco pesado, no llegué a "conectar" con las emociones de los personajes. A pesar de ello, juegazo.

Gameplay and world building is a strong feature in this game and the graphics are the most realistic in a video game yet. Each of the characters have diverse opinions and features that make them stand out from the crowd. The storyline is memorable and can be considered one of the best that any video game has to offer. Highly recommend. Very rarely does a video game do so many things well from its diverse open world to intriguing characters, good game! im just not really feeling the old western vibe anymore and i kinda got bored aft playing it once so i just completely stopped my second playthrough which may have smth to say abt the replayability. overall not too bad. The game has some quests that are a real mixed bag and can be quite boring sometimes, but when the action is ongoing it can be a really immersive and entertaining game.… Expand

    The story of this game is just perfect, the characters the settings and the variety of random encounters around the map make this game so intense and immersive like no other.

    This is the best video game I've played, the story is preponderant, but unfortunately it has boring and pathetic monologues at several points, the gameplay is colorful and entertaining, the characters are memorable, the setting is the best I've seen in a video game, and there are many activities to perform that are raised consistently.

    The game is such a deep and loving realization of its setting that I can't get into it. Its so patient and deliberate, so focused on selling the immersion of the setting, that I get distracted, lose track of the plot, and eventually fizzle out. I just don't have the patience for this game, but I recognize the quality all over it.

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]

    Amazing not only for Western lovers. No other game has probably offered so many options to express yourself in the open world, and at the same time did not have such an interesting, rough and moving story. A magnificent experience, with a slightly slower start. [Issue#291]
