    If you want an amazing story driven open world game and you like western movies you don't have to look any further. Amazing graphics,one of the best storys ever told in a game,fantastic character writing. (Suggestion: Ignore the online component it's a crappy boring grinding simulator full of microtransactions)

    My favorite open world game after The Witcher 3, the only flaw is the side missions without a storyline at the level of The Witcher, but otherwise it is, perhaps, the best-curated game I have ever played.
    In my opinion it deserved Game of the Year in 2018, with all due respect to God Of War

    Great, fantastic. Love the amount of detail. Could spend weeks in the wild. I imagine this is particularly enjoyable for people stuck in the cities with no access to rural areas not even once in a while. Me, I had the chance to ride horses once or twice having grown close to my grandparents' village so I know how cool it is in the nature.

    I’m a really huge movie fan, one of my personal favorite movie’s was Once Upon A Time In America which was directed by the fantastic Sergio Leone who was famous for his Spaghetti Western movies such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, For A Few Dollars More and so and so. So I was really familiar with the western genre. I played the first Red Dead Redemption in my uncle’s old laptop andI’m a really huge movie fan, one of my personal favorite movie’s was Once Upon A Time In America which was directed by the fantastic Sergio Leone who was famous for his Spaghetti Western movies such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, For A Few Dollars More and so and so. So I was really familiar with the western genre. I played the first Red Dead Redemption in my uncle’s old laptop and didn’t really liked it (I wasn’t into games that much back in those days). When Red Dead Redemption 2 came out, I knew it was probably one of the best games that was ever released, but like I said I wasn’t into games that much, so I ignored it but when I got the chance to play it in 2020 December and from the first second to the last I was hooked! RDR2 was if not the best, at least was one of the best 10 games i’ve ever played! RDR2 offers you a large variety of good written characters, a fantastic story and bunch of epic twists and turns.RDR2 has a really huge world and a lot of new environments, it is probably the best open-world experiences that you will ever play and for all to GTA fans that will probably say that “GTA HAS A BETTER OPEN WORLD”, I really like GTA too, but I need to admit because of my passion for the old spaghetti western movies and the epic variety of RDR2’s world, this game has a beauty to it’s open world experience, of course in one hand you have probably the largest game franchise in all of the world: Grand Theft Auto but RDR2 is just magical and feels like something really close to the human soul and don’t get me started on the gameplay and the mechanics because it’s not my place to say a bad word about the rockstar games but RDR2 is really something special, man.Look, there would be some people that would say that RDR2 has one-dimensional characters and a story that’s really repetitive but in my honest opinion they’re all wrong. RDR2 has great character development, a really good story with a bunch of twists and turns and I’m not going to give-away anything of this wonderful magnificent game but the ending is probably one of the best endings i’ve seen in my entire life. I know that i’m not the person you should listen when it’s come to these type of games and if you really think that I’m just hyping this game, go out and play this wonderful game.     Rockstar puts out the best games possible everytime. I could elaborate for years on what makes this game good but it would be easier to list the bad.
    The online mode is lacking and had been since its launch.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Пожалуй, Rockstar создали одну из величайших игр поколения. Никогда не было такого уделения внимания деталям. Ни в одной игре я не засиживался по 5-6 часов играя в покер, рыбалка, охота. Открытый мир наполнен различными событиями.
    Сюжетная линия за Артура Моргана, пожалуй, это самая красивая история игрового персонажа. Он харизматичен, запоминается, в нём ни чёрного, ни белого. Особенно 4-6 глава, где игра спокойно уделывает любой голливудский блокбастер. А концовка стала ужасно грустной, и та самая музыка из концовки.
    Да музыка тоже достойна похвалы, полностью передаёт ту самую атмосферу Дикого Запада.
    Эпилог за Джона Марстона мне показался немного скучным, но всё же последнее задание не даёт заскучать.
    Да и большинство персонажей игры запоминается, одним сопереживаешь, других ненавидишь. Но к ним нет равнодушия.
    Пожалуй, на текущий момент это лучшая игра, которая выпущена на данный момент    … Expand

    Each chapter of the game introduces you to their world, to the gang, to the end of the west and has an end-of-age background that they are not aware of.

    The game has been accused of being boring, slow, and old missions.

    The game is not boring. From the beginning it starts strong and you meet the villains, already in the first chapter. He takes his time to develop the story that is formed through disjointed missions that form an incredible whole. Not like other games that only go straight to the main thing.

    It is not slow, it is how such a man would move, with realistic physics. If you are used to games like dmc5, bayonetta, etc, it is strange, but it is as it should be in rdr.

    The missions are now more narrative, mimicking linear games but you actually have more options than in other open world games.

    In some missions you can make small decisions such as doing it day or night, the dialogues change depending on whether you do a mission before or another or what you do in it, you can decide if you or a partner attack, etc. So you actually have more decision-making power than other current games.

    The world is the most alive seen in a video game with its random events, i.a, physics, narrative, secondary missions, weather effects, it is the most next gen of this generation.

    And all these details are created, but the game does not point a finger at you like other games that want you to see what they have done for you to see. You can end the game and lose it because you are not at the right time, that makes it real, dynamic, alive, you are not the center of the game, you live in it like any other character.

    Again this saga makes me cry for a character, for a story and also gives us the opportunity to know how everything was just before the first game instead of telling it in a video as other games would. Here you play it, you enjoy it.

    The online may seem scarce compared to gta v but it has had dlc's even in the world situation in which we are.

    Other games with a multiplayer component like gt5 or uncharted had less content and less time of it and there are no complaints. This is not a one-year game, the dlc's will arrive and there is already more content than many online will have in their life    … Expand

    É o melhor game já criado na história, tudo nele é fantástico desde gráfico, história, gameplay e aspectos técnicos em geral. O mapa/mundo aberto além de enorme é vivo demais e até os npcs do jogo cada um é como se tivesse vida própria, trabalham, andam, vão pro mercado, teatro, é como se realmente vivessem suas vidas.     I played this game on PS4 and on PC... it was truly an amazing experience, probably the best one i have ever had in a video game. I'm really looking forward to play it for the 3rd time on PS5 if it gets the next gen update.

    Outstanding story and gameplay. One of the best RPGs I have had the opportunity to play in recent years. Haven't experienced any bugs. The game was enough for over 100 hours of fun. And I'm still hungry for Westerns.

    Nothing is comparable to the experience that this game offers, in single player games. Only Breath of the wild is better of this game, in the last 15 years. A real masterpiece (and in last 10 years we need and we don't have real masterpieces). The game has amazing graphic, charter design, amazing sounds, one of the most brillant narrations of the history of gaming.     Red Dead Redemption 2 is a clear example of care, affection and respect for a franchise loved by fans.

    Your script is well produced and exciting, the graphics are amazing (especially for the older generation consoles).

    The world is so alive, you feel that you are a part of it. There is something happening at every corner. It is full of details, random mysteries and events that you can encounter. If you ride your horse from one point to another there will something defiantly happen interesting upon your journey.     The graphics are the best this generation has seen, and it is the details but also the time invested in the textures.

    Combat is made cinematic so it looks better visually, it can be a bit challenging to some players finding this mechanic weak, but for me, it was just right, as I played it with Dualshock on ps4.

    The story is one of the best ever told in story-driven gaming genre, and defiantly the best made by rockstar. You get invested in the characters and the stories they have to tell. Arthur is the best protagonist we could ask for. Let's not speak how great the pace of the story was, especially how R* chose to use chapters to tell the story, it will take me a whole novel to explain how good this game is. If you like a good story game this is defiantly the one for you. You can also choose at any time to switch from third person to first person if this is what you are looking for. A Must Buy. The only minus of the game for me was that the multiplayer was not that great, still cool but did not get me invested in it.

The gameplay is varied and it feels amazing, however,    It's been 8 years and it's finally here.
    Let's see what they have done!
    Starting off with the story, which is undoubtedly one the best written stories in a videogame I've ever witnessed; it's slow in the beginning but it gets much better afterwards and it's an unbelievably immersive and emotional journey with impressive character depth.
    The gameplay is varied and it feels amazing, however, the shooting mechanics and the controls could've been better; they feel dated, slow and hard to get used to.
    The characters are some of the best I've seen in a videogame. Each one of them has his/her own personality and story, and the acting and dialogue are perfect.
    Also, the attention to detail and realism in this game is absolutely staggering, to the point where they make the game feel slightly tedious at times, but thankfully, it's not a big deal for me.
    The animations are breathtaking, the graphics are among the best I've seen in an Open World game, and even minor things like the horse mechanics are definitely some of the best I've seen in a video game, for sure.
    Lastly, the soundtrack is wonderful and the world itself is both massive and beautiful in every single way, and it's full of great landscapes and locations to discover.

    Pros:

    + Compelling characters
    + Tons of details
    + Gorgeous world
    + A lot of content

    Cons:
    - Shooting mechanics and controls

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is one the best videogames I've ever played and while it has some serious flaws that I can definitely see why some people will feel disappointed with the game, everything else aside from these flaws in this game is so goddamn good, it made me fall in love with the game more than most of the games I've played in my life so far.

    the way each character is developed makes you sympathize with them and on top of them is Arthur Morgan.

    Pros : 1. one of the best story with well written character ( which feels like a real family )

    I just finished my first playthrough which lasted around 120 hours and I have to say that this is the most beautiful and most detailed game I have ever played. There is animation for everything. There is even a physics engine for your horse's balls shrinking and expanding depending on the weather. Unlike in GTA the cops don't instantly shoot you when you commit a crime. This is the best open world in a video game to date. The NPCs are filled with life and depending how you react to them increases or decreases your honor which changes some of the cutscenes in the story. The combat is very fun and especially the dead eye. The side quests are engaging and the honor system is amazing, I really love how depending on your honor you can get a total of 4 different endings. As a tip for my favorite ending have good honor.

    Now on to the story, this game might have the single greatest story in a video game since Final Fantasy VII. The characters are spectacular and Arthur Morgan is the single greatest protagonist in video game history. The game has an amazing villain and many very emotionally gripping moments including my favorite moment in video game history.

    This game is the best game we have had in the past 24 years and is always flipping back and forth between my 2nd favorite game of all time and my favorite game of all time with the original Final Fantasy VII. This game is the best game of 2018 and the 2010s. Play it.    … Expand

I mean there is many thing I can name in this game that is amazing but this review would be 7 paragraphs long. Anyways this game has hands down the best story in my opinion, it shows the backstory to the first red dead redemption game and it shows it WELL. It can be a serious game at times and a fun game. The story can also be a real tear jerker too especially at the end when a lot of the characters died. This game offers so much freedom in the aspect of taking care of your character/horse etc. now the online is a little different it’s not bad it just could be better, rockstar doesn’t really keep up with the updates like the do for gta 5 it’s a little hard to get money in online, but other than that game is perfect definitely urge you to buy it… Expand

    It’s an huge, outstanding piece of art – worth the hard-earned cash as well as countless hours that are needed to get to know at least some of the attractions of Rockstar’s rendition of Wild West. For those who put story first – the biggest virtue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it sets the stage for RDR 1 and does it wonderfully. [13/2018, p.40]
