    It’s quite a lot of fun actually, but it’s let down by stingy payouts and the shadow of microtransactions.

    There’s a lot to love about Red Dead Online – it’s remarkably stable, vast in scale, and completing storyline missions in co-op is a delight – yet, the unremarkable combat is really a sticking point. Essentially it is identical to what was found in the original Red Dead Online, and how Rockstar adapt to this over the coming weeks and months will prove vital in how long this virtual wild west remains populated.     I didn't think it was possivle for Rockstar to make the online worse than the single player, but they did it. Unfortunately I have to give it a 1 for a very serious issue: It's Economy.

    The amount of money you earn in missions is pitiful. Usually about $4-7, and in comparison: Guns average around $130 - $200.
    Even if you win a Battle Royale match you'll only get $10.

    It's very clear this system was set in place to get people to purchase microtransactions, those are currently not online ... yet. However the menus have clearly been set up. It looks like Rockstar knows how controversial they're system is going to be and disabled it at launch to allow for its players to demand it due to how expensive everything is. NO!     Thanks to rockstar for the pre-alpha release online mode. This is not a beta, the game constantly crashes.
